ngl this is actually a subplot I’ve been working on and refuse to let go of, but I also realized that last month that if I wanted to do a sequel with the next generation of politicians, I had to introduce them ahead of time, so it’s truly become a small storm of Antics That Are Happening All The Time around Crasso’s house

#in an earlier draft Pompeyo met Crasso’s kids (it’s complicated) when Crasso gave him a ride to the other side of #this island and they stopped at Crasso’s house for lunch #in the most current draft (less complicated) Pompeyo has previously met Marcus and Publius is a later addition to the cast #hence the toddler antics. Pompeyo showing up at 1am with 3 surprise kids was the temporary band aid had slapped onto #the story altho I think I’ve worked it out (Pompeyo is taking care of them because their parents died and there’s no one else)#Sometimes the vibe is like the baby arc of tale of the nine tailed 1938. but it’s also very much about. trauma #multitudes! we all contain multitudes #bad governance the series
