Someone sent me an ask and it literally disappeared when I was responding but anon you really are playing me and yourself for stupid if that’s your line of reasoning. Gay people using the f word and lesbians using the d word to self label.....like...you really think you have a point? Go to your room and try again that shit was mad dumb boo.

Like the ask was literally “i just wish ppl would spend morre time trying to understand us (queers) before shouting at us” UM SORRY but listen.

People trying to tell you they don’t want to be labeled queer is not the time for you to whine about how no one’s listening to you. Your reason for id’ing queer is relevant to YOU it is not a leveraging point to get other people to use the same label so maybe while you’re whining about no one listening to you start giving a shit that you’re trying to externally label people with a slur that hurts them and maybe things will start working more smoothly.

Gay dudes can call themselves what they want. That’s THEIR business bc THEY are the recipient of said slur. Same with lesbians. Same with trans women. Same with black people.

But you know who doesn’t get to decide? OTHER people. And you know what happens often enough? No group is a monolith and there are plenty of people in each group who do not associate with the slur- they choose not to reclaim it.

And the logic what ‘well gay guys call themselves ____’ is IRRELEVANT this is the exact shit I was talking about when I said I’m tired of people not getting it. You don’t get it.

What INDIVIDUALS CALL THEMSELVES is different than telling OTHER INDIVIDUALS WHAT THEY ARE CALLED it is an offense to their autonomy ain’t no one gotta be called queer just bc you are! The world has more than just you on it shut up already!
