You better be reunited with Rayla. For she deserves humongous apologies from you as well as the full truth about everything. S5 and S6 better come through. I also hope you apologize to her and admit that you failed her.

Hi Runaan

I have a very difficult, very honest question for you. Does it bother, offend, and hurt you that people have and will always constantly disregard and question your love for Rayla? Saying things like it never meant anything to you, that you made her feel unloved, that you wanted her to suffer, that you abandoned her, considering all the hurt and pain you put her through, how could you do that to someone you love?. Do you believe that Rayla will ever truly forgive you for what you put her through? Because you technically contributed to her losses and sorrow.

*baffled elf noises* Why would someone else's incorrect opinion bother me? They are simply incorrect. I can continue with my life perfectly well without worrying about it.

I did my best for Rayla. When fate closed in around us, I stood in her place and drove her away to save her life. I know how rough I had to be with her to make her leave. Her feelings on the matter are her own. But I do hope that, deep down, she remembers how deeply I love her.

She's alive to make her own choices, and at the end of the day, I consider that my highest success.

@lily-lilou @kotikala All the theories and speculations in regards to how the whole situation with freeing Rayla's family from the coins is going to play out can absolutely go in many different directions.

When you think about it, it would make alot of sense if Runaan is the first one to be freed then Lain and Tiadrin were freed last.

Runaan would absolutely be the first one freed for a multitude of reasons: Explaining his Behaviors, Clarifying his Actions, Apologies to make and uphold, Repairing and Mending His Relationships with his Loved Ones, Having the Information and Knowledge of Aaravos and the Mirror, among others reasons.

I completely agree with you on him and Rayla reuniting. I truly and deeply hope that the moment he sees Rayla once he's freed from his coin is - no words, no dialouge and without hesitation - he just hugs her, holding her and embracing her in his arms. With all the time he spent self-thinking, self-reflecting, self-discovering and deep soul searching in his coin, he would absolutely feel extremely guilty, incredibly devastated, deeply affected and emotionally scarred by the fallout between him and Rayla, realizing how b he failed as both a father and a husband, what it costed him, seeing how it damaged and ruined his family's lives, specifically Ethari and Rayla. I truly believe that everything Runaan did with all of his actions on that misson was about re-focusing all the threats on himself and getting Rayla out of Katolis to keep her safe. I don't think he blames Rayla, not at all. He was angry, but it was meant more towards himself. She has a lot of guilt that she failed him and that he'll hate her, but I think the reality hits way more closer, deeply hurts him so much more to him thinking that about her. Perhaps even mercilessly suffering and hurting from extreme self-blaming and self-loathing for what he did to Rayla and Ethari. Once he's freed, something he also might not be expecting, I believe he wouldn't even hesitate to tell Rayla everything. I feel that Rayla's not gonna believe Runaan at first, rightfully so, but he'd do anything to show and tell her the full truth about every single moment left unspoken and unresolved. Assuring her that nothing was her fault, everything that happened on the mission was solely on him, everything he did was to protect her and save her, that he loves her and he's proud of her. Rayla needs this and deserves that from Runaan, the reassurance and alleviation of what happened, and I believe he will do that. He loves her so much.

Just like with Runaan, Ethari and Rayla will definitely reconcile. There's no doubt Ethari will be part of the rescue. That is why I honestly believe that both Ethari and Rayla will first be processing the ghosting and more importantly, repairing and developing their relationship in a stronger and healthier way. I think it be even better if they overcame these challenges together. Where they both help each other grow, prosper and learn from all they've been through. Much like Runaan, I believe Ethari wouldn't even hesitate to tell Rayla everything. That he's deeply sorry for what he did, that he loves her, that wants her in his life again and that he's proud of her. He'll also have a huge role in helping Rayla and Runaan navigating all of the emotions and learning how to express them, as well as helping Rayla to interpret Runaan. Then they can help Lain and Tiadrin.

As for what went down in the tower, there had to have been some very suspicious and underhanded tactics that Viren must've done before the assassins came for Harrow. Especially when you read the novelization of Season 1, there's a part where Viren genuinely considered telling Harrow that he loves him and was going to sacrifice his life for him, but changes his motives after Harrow angrily snaps at him, calling him a servant. Which lead to him wanting to defy his friend one last time. It also stated that when he came out of the kings chambers, his eyes were dark pitch black, indicating he used some form of dark magic, possibly on Harrow. Because looking back on it, Viren didn't do anything to stop the Assassins, which already showed he no longer wanted Harrow to be saved.

Runaan was probably put in a position where he had to a mercy kill. Where he could've been almost attacked by the soulfang and Harrow intervened. Maybe a conversation happened between Runaan and Harrow, about breaking the cycle and having their children's lives spared from the bloodshed that was happening. Imagine the convo these two dads could've had in those moments.

I will always wonder, what happened in those towers?

Can't wait for what happens in Season 4. November here we come
