i think one of the reasons i like the namek saga so much is bc the entire thing is just vegeta having So Much Baggage and no one else giving a shit

like. 1) vegeta runs into someone who the story vaguely/not-so-vaguely implies has been a jackass to him, 2) vegeta kills them/gets his ass kicked then kills them, 3) something something super saiyan, 4) rinse and repeat.

and absolutely no one else is remotely interested in his homicidal therapy run. even gohan and krillin after teaming up with him are like "so vegeta how do we beat these guys" and then stand there awkwardly while vegeta and the enemy vent about how much they hate each other. and its like 90% "you always looked down on me/treated me like trash/possibly beat the shit out of me at some point but NOW I AM (somewhat) STRONGER" vs "lmao monkey boy lolololol"

i wonder how long it took gohan and krillin to realize they'd teamed up with the one guy under frieza who literally everybody else hated
