In about 10ish years or so I wanna do a remake of Miss Saigon but for Afghanistan. Make it nearly beat for beat the same shit with the warbride and everything, but make it dry and dusty. Barely more than a pallete swap. Set up a photo area out front depicting a tarmac with people falling from the landing gear at top of frame. Theater is even more out of touch now than then, so I bet we could really make it work if we just throw in some 2016 era low effort Trump jokes.

Attwood and Smith
SERIES 2, STORY ONE, PART ONE- REUNION
In the middle of the desert, she stood there, lost and alone, her leg bloodied and wrapped up in a bandage, and the ships flew away. There were many left behind, and she screamed as she woke up…
‘ARRRRRRRRRGH’
Amber sat up straight, alone in her bedroom. She turned the light on, and she put her glasses on again. She had the dream again. It was about 7am in the morning; ungodly early for her, so she got out of bed to go to her shower, and to get ready for work. Life was mundane for Amber Rayne Smith over the last three years. She had travelled to far off worlds and galaxies, and dealt with many a dangerous foe. From alien drug peddlers selling milk to the stars, to battling blood thirsty aliens, with a need for conquest and slave labour. But these days, Amber lives a normal life. She works in the local Starbucks, and she hangs out with her friends. It is all very enjoyable, but travelling the stars, and being a space police officer, that was something amazing.
Amber was getting her bicycle out of the garage, and her Mother called to her;
‘So, you’ll be going to the Walmart to pick up some groceries on your way back’
‘Yeah, I guess’
‘And then you’ll be going out with Jane and Chloe to the cinema’
‘You know it, I’ve been telling you for like the past week, Mom’
‘Well have fun’
Amber’s mother gave her a kiss, and Amber set off for work. As she cycled, she passed that familiar house where her, Ben, Gerald, Jarvis, Georgia, and Tyler would meet up, hang out, and protect the planet. She would always leave a little early to stop by that house for 5 minutes each day. These days, the most amazing thing happening at that house was the young couple who moved there with their younger daughters. Amber soon cycled away.
‘That’ll be 2.85’Â
Amber said tiredly to the customer she served. The man gave her a 10 dollar bill, quietly infuriating Amber who saw he had a 5 dollar bill in his hand. Regardless, she gave the man his change and he walked off. Amber was bored, and she still had another 3 hours of work to go before she had to go to Walmart.
It was 3:30pm, about an hour before Amber’s shift was up when a short, goth girl walked into the Starbucks. She wores black and white striped socks, along with black doc martins. Her black dress was lacy, and she wore a white blouse underneath. Her right arm was adorned with a variety of watches. She had a pale white face, wearing only black lipstick and eyeliner, and had long black hair, which mostly covered her eyes. There was a commotion that Amber could hear outside the Starbucks, though she was not allowed to leave her post, so she asked the small, petite girl what she wanted.
‘Coffee. Black. Please’ the girl bluntly ordered
‘Alright…wouldn’t you rather have a milkshake?’ Amber enquired, but the girl’s stone face caused Amber to stop talking
‘It isn’t for me. I need it for something else’ she said.
‘Here you go, that’ll be 1.50’
‘Here. Thank you, Amber’ the girl said, before making herself scarce and going outside
Amber was perplexed. The girl didn’t even look at Amber, she couldn’t have seen her name tag on her green apron. Her colleague; who saw the girl, leaned over to Amber. ‘Who was that? Do you know her?’ the man asked ‘No, Kyle. I’ve never seen her before’ the confused Amber half mumbled in response.
Once Amber’s shift was over, she left the Starbucks, and she went to inspect the front of the store. Nothing. Nothing was there. Perhaps it was just a bunch of rowdy adults or kids, she reasoned. ‘Nothing happens here anymore’. As she said that to herself, a shadowy figure came behind her, scaring Amber and causing her to get on her Bicycle and cycle away quickly. The figure just stood there, as another approached it.
‘Black coffee? You don’t strike me as a coffee person’ said the young girl who was in the shop earlier. ‘Was that her?’
‘Yes’ the figure replied ‘It was. And I believe she is in danger’
Amber made it to Walmart, and as she got lost in the aisles of the hypermarket, she had forgotten all about the encounter with the shadowy figure. Amber wandered towards the refrigerators to obtain a bottle of milk for her mother. Usually, Amber would feel quite cold when she was near the cold foods aisles, but she was unusually, and almost uncomfortably warm.
Though the aisle was full of people, Amber almost thought it was empty. Something was alienating her, making her feel lonely. A thick black cloud had surrounded her, almost instantaneously. Amber became terrified, for she couldn’t escape. Something was keeping her in there, suffocating her, and bringing about flashbacks to her dream that morning. Though the dangers of the dream were all in her mind, this was a real attack.
Amber had fallen to the ground, and she being attacked, and she was crying and pleading for help. Soon, a pale white hand grabbed Amber by her arm, and pulled her out of the cloud, which metamorphisised into a crude, human like shape.
‘Stay low.’ the young girl ordered, which Amber agreed to do. The girl battled the smoke creature with a large sword, rigged with various wires and gadgets. One could almost call it a health and safety hazard. The shadowed figure pulled off his coat, revealing Gerald. The Gorillian creature was dressed in riot gear, and both his hands wore fist shaped gauntlets, similarly rigged with wires, and other add ons.
‘HIROYO, THE DEPRESSOR IS WEAKENED, STAB IT AND SHOCK IT’ Gerald ordered, in his thick, Brooklyn accent. Hiroyo stabbed the creature and electrocuted it to death, as it let out a scream, a shrill, long shout, which caused everyone in its vicinity to cry. Once dead, Hiroyo turned, and wiped a single tear from her eye.
‘Emotion control training. Try it.’ she said to Gerald, in a blunt and unforgiving manner.
‘You still shed a tear, Hiry’ he chuckled, proudly patting the girl on the back ‘You’re pretty handy though’
Amber gingerly stood up, and upon seeing Gerald, she ran to him and embraced him.
‘GERALD! I CAN’T BELIEVE IT. WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?’ the shocked Amber shouted
‘Hey, kiddo. Man, you’ve grown. I haven’t seen you since Op Oblivion. This is Hiroyo, my new protegee’
Hiroyo bowed before Amber ‘He has a picture of you. Of all of you.’ Hiroyo explained. The three of them went up to a flower delivery van, which contained various equipment and computers. Amber was shell shocked at seeing one of her old friends, an old friend she has not seen in three years.
‘The coffee shop is a Starbucks now?’ Gerald asked
‘Yeah. They bought it out about 6 months ago, but they kept the staff’ Said Amber
‘Well, good to see you. I am sorry about this sudden return into your life, but something came up’ Gerald said to Amber
‘What?’ asked Amber
‘A ghost.’ Hiroyo interjected, and pulling out a laptop, she showed a number of cases.
‘Someone is looking for the old Atlantic division of your alien crew, and has sent out some depressors to get rid of you’ Hiroyo elaborated, as she showed images of agents who were attacked. ‘The depressors are sentient creatures that cause depression, PTSD, turn people mad, or worse’
‘Operation Oblivion’ Amber whispered ‘I’ve been having those dreams again, about the mission’
‘Yeah, so have I. Georgia has been put in a high-security palace on her home world to protect her. Her dad wasn’t lucky’ Gerald solemnly added.
‘So, what are we going to do?’ Amber asked
‘WE?!’ Gerald shouted aloud ‘Amber, you’ve been out of action, you were decommissioned. The Galactic High Council got rid of our agency. We’re rogue agents now. We cannot have you join us. Jarvis and Tyler were almost arrested because of-’
‘Wait, Gerald. We need her.’ Interrupted Hiroyo.
‘Yeah, you do’ Amber said ‘If we are going to protect ourselves and others, we need to work together again’
‘Yes. We need her.’ Hiroyo agreed, her words taken out of her mouth. Though less blunt than she would have said
‘Alright. I guess you’re right. But you are in danger’ warned Gerald
‘Gerald, I wouldn’t have it any other way’ smiled Amber. The crew was coming back.
 END OF PART ONE.
