House's addiction to misery is really heartbreaking but also something that is so important to me

I think that he doesn't want any semblance of happiness because being high on feel-good hormones opens him up to being hurt (again)

It's so much easier to hurt others, so much easier to not allow himself that happiness - because happiness is vulnerability and something people can use to hurt him

And so he hides behind this air of idgaf and hurts everyone around him in the process, and it makes me feel so so sad

#im in season 3! i need to remind people of this so that 1. i dont get spoiled and 2. i dont get slammed too hard if i mischaracterise house #the whole deal with Cameron in season 1 is one example #Wilson was so convinced that it'll be good for House to be on the dating market again #and its the same with Stacy in s2 #UGGHHHHHH i love him my pookie #this is what i summised after 3 seasons of this agony #and im in the tritter arc so.#ughhhhhhh #heph.txt
