please learn how to read. i never said gay men don't oppress women, nor did i say that they don't benefit from misogyny or that they don't have male privilige. my ask literally contained "[gay men and white women] are both 100% complicit in and benefitting from oppression" and "[the fact that gay men on average do less harm to women than straight men] doesn't mean a lot of gay men aren't sexist"

my original point can also be applied to homophobia in straight men vs straight women. while straight women can absolutely be horrifically homophobic, the vast majority of homophobic hate crimes are committed by straight men. lynchings, gay bashing, corrective rape etc. i've even heard more accounts of homophobically motivated sexual assault of gay men committed by straight (or atleast straight identified) men then i've heard of corrective rape committed by straight women. doesn't mean straight women's homophobia isn't despicable, but i, as a gay person am in much less physical danger from a homophobic woman than a homophobic man.

idk you could even say that a disabled neonazi is less likely to commit hate crimes because he is physically incapable of it. the point isn't that people oppressed on one axis are somehow more tolerant or better people in general, it's just that certain groups characteristics make it so that people are less capable of or have less incentive to harm others in certain aspects. for women it's comparatively lower aggression and strength (less strength also applies to disabled people) and for gay men it's no sexual desire towards and next to no intimate partnerships with women. gay men still rape and abuse, they just do it mostly to other men. idk why that's so difficult to grasp.

please don’t talk down to me and act like i can’t read when you came in to defend the viewpoint that gay men get a pass to be misogynistic because they’re a minority. that’s literally the anon that i initially disagreed with that you jumped in to defend. go see for yourself. don’t come in agreeing with that stuff & defending it and then call me illiterate for taking issue with the core argument made 🙄 “straight men are violent so straight women aren’t as bad!” “white men are violent so white women aren’t as bad!” “straight men are a larger proportion so they’re the majority of women’s abusers so gay men aren’t as bad!” are all stupid and pointless arguments. oppressors are still oppressors. and gay men don’t get a pass to be misogynistic. gay men are still male. they’re still capable of oppressing women & still benefit from their maleness. you decided to support someone disagreeing with those statements so you can deal with me reiterating them.
