thinking about miguel coming home late at night after patrol, to the apartment being uncharacteristically quiet, until he finds you, his daughter, sitting by the kitchen counter, resting your head on it. you give him a lazy smile, one that he returns as he heads over to you, ruffling your hair before moving to the bathroom to take his shower and unwind.

thinking about how he apologizes for missing dinner again after he had promised you that he'd return home early tonight just so he could spend more time with you — he was a busy man some, if not all times, the spiderman business took up most of his time, giving him little to no hours to spend with you, so that means whatever chance he got, he always spent it on you — he's a good dad, really, he tries his hardest, especially when it comes to you.

thinking about how he orders your favourite takeout to make up for the dinner he missed, deciding that the two of you were too tired to make dinner yourselves, not to mention that neither of you were skilled chefs — he promises to spend the rest of the night with you, probably binge watching your favourite show with you, saying that he'll take tomorrow off for a father-daughter day out.

thinking about how he asks you how your day was, how was school, only for you to give quiet hums and short replies in response, it's not like you were upset at him for missing dinner, it seemed more like something else was bothering you — so he asks you what it is, and you tell him that some friend of yours has been ghosting you for some time now, only for them to make a comment today that was the last straw for you.

thinking about the slight frown of concern on his face as he listens to you, cause how dare your friend ghost you? his amazing, beautiful and talented daughter who had the kindest of hearts — whatever, their loss, is what he tells you, tells you not to worry yourself about it and that you'll find better friends, ones that'll actually appreciate you.

thinking about him noticing how unusually quiet you are, how solemn your expression is, so he puts his arm over your shoulders and tugs you closer to him, muttering to you about how you're too good for your petty, childish friend who thought it was a good idea to lose you, and in his embrace, hot tears prick your eyes, but it's okay because his large frame covers yours like a blanket keeping you safe from everything the indifferent world has to offer.

thinking about how he runs his fingers gently through your hair as you sob into his chest, body trembling slightly in his arms as you mumble some incoherent stuff to him, words that he can't hear in between your cries but he listens anyway — miguel knew that you were always a lonely kid, an outcast and a bit of the odd one out, you didn't have many friends, never had many friends, much less close ones for that matter, but that's okay.

it's okay 'cause he'll always be here for you, he was your dad after all and there was nothing he loved more than you.

So, an apology for not having my crossover story published by now like I wanted it to. It’s a huge passion project of mine and something I’m eager to show everyone, as niche of a topic/crossover it may be. But, school is keeping me busy.

For the time being, here’s a silly little snippet that has already been written along with a silly headcanon of mine with little to no relevancy to the plot, I just think it’s neat:

In this series, the Ink Demon holds a grudge against birds; in part due to the fact Bendy’s bird hates him. Ironically later in the series, he becomes a cat person…

Cats love to eat birds… and they also nap a lot and can be moody. Seems fitting for the rather grouchy king of the ink realm. Meanwhile Bendy never stops chattering like a baby starling. He 100% talked to that bird 24/7. (And no Ink wouldn’t actually eat the bird, Audrey would’ve gotten on his case about it)
