she belongs to the malkavian clan

she was a famous german ballet dancer when she was only 16 years old

however, she quit doing ballet in her 20th birthday (when she becomes a vampire she’s 28)

since she was a child she showed mild signs of schizophrenia but her parents didn’t give a shit. her mental health worsened in time but her parents were only interested in her grades and her ballet lessons

in the same day she announced she intended to quit ballet in a family dinner, rosetta packed her stuff and went to the nearest hospital nearby to receive a proper treatment; we stan a Mental Health Icon who’s tired of her abusive family

when she finished her hospitalization she went to live in a small apartment in berlin and took her meds every day; she worked as a florist for a long time, she has a charming obsession with flowers and their smells

she actually hated doing ballet, but she did it bc it made her parents happy

she’s the only child of the von hagen family, an important royal family, but they don’t have any ties with the nobility atm bc her grandparent rejected the title when he married a non-royal woman (also, he did it bc this woman was extremely wealthy and his royal title was kind of shitty; rosetta’s family is full of fake bitches tbh dsfgdshfghs)

her family is extremely wealthy bc they have a successful airplane and car business too (inherited from her grandparent’s wife), however, her father intended to leave this business to her male cousin bc her father thought she was too ‘crazy’ and that women were too emotional

rosetta obv hated him bc he’s a fucking asshole lol

also, i should add the fact that she is a lesbian and her mother had an unhealthy obsession with finding a husband for her that wasn’t a “shameless bastard like her father”

rosetta didn’t want to spend her life in berlin, so she traveled around the world, and unfortunately one of those destinations was los angeles

when she visited santa monica she met an extraordinary and stunning woman who fascinated her, that woman had a way with words she hadn’t heard before and she was quite a bit weird but it captivated her even more, so rosetta, unfortunately, decided to spend the night with her

after becoming a vampire her schizophrenia worsens or... gets better? she’s a malkavian, their illness is a cure and a blessing after all but i wouldn’t even call it schizophrenia anymore 

also: her meds don’t have any effect on her anymore so...
