the two of you had never gone this far.

diluc would’ve normally allowed you to take the lead if it was assuring in any way, though you insisted that it was alright to let him take care of you this once.

he was straddled on top of you, his hair disheveled and tied back in a low, loose ponytail. as far as you could tell, it was perfect. it sat right below his neck, held together by a black ribbon, stating elegance. he was such a work of art, you could stare for hours. your thoughts were interrupted by a shy lick up your collarbone—he had your wrist gently pinned against the bed as he worshipped your skin. his lips littered the crook of your neck with light bites and marks of affection, occasionally trailing down to the top of your chest.

whenever he dipped this low, however, you couldn’t help but notice the feel of his gaze on the two evenly placed scars below your chest, visible through the loose and unbuttoned dress shirt that draped over your shoulders. he leaned up to kiss you again, pulling away with a hum.

“they’re—they’re all healed, so it’s alright.”

you guided his fingertips to your chest. he rested his between your back and your chest, softly caressing your side. you couldn’t help but speak hesitantly—you were just as nervous as he was. though he still looked up at you with inquiry.

“i’m sure, diluc, please…”

you muttered, brushing your fingers over his.

he moved his hand and traced across the scar on your left side, soon caressing your chest and flicking your nipple with his thumb, causing you to shiver. his face began to grow warmer and warmer at your reactions.

“gods, you’re beautiful. my boy, my pretty boy.”

the praise fell from his lips like a fine wine on a hot summer’s day, whispering into your neck. he left your chest with a small kiss, returning the kiss to your lips shortly after.

“so handsome.”

the way he spoke drove you absolutely crazy. a pounding, flushed feeling in your chest that wouldn’t go away, an insatiable ache in your abdomen. the effect that this man had on you was somewhat worryingly addictive, he had you absolutely wrapped around his finger without even knowing.

diluc had completely stopped, face flushed. his position had finally set in, making him coil back in embarrassment.

subconsciously you rutted your hips against his thigh, coincidentally placed between your legs. you paused as the action registered, though not as much as your lover tensed.

“hey, hey it’s alright…”

you placed a hand on his shoulder.

“it’s just—your words feel really, uhm…good. sorry…”

he thought for a moment, bringing his thigh back between your legs and holding you in an embrace as tight and close as he could.

“…don’t apologize.”

he muttered against your neck, beginning to grind his own thigh against you. you whined.

“‘l-luc—“

“(name).”

“yea?”

“do you…want to go all the way?”

you nodded. he only felt the slight movement of your head, his own still rested near yours. he pulled his torso away, bringing a hand that was wrapped around your back to reassuringly rest on your shoulder.

“i need it verbally, love.”

“yes, gods, please…”

it wasn’t very long until he had you sat on his on his abdomen, both of your pants discarded to the floor. the only inch of cloth between you was the unbuttoned shirt on your back—while your lover was bare. as far as you could tell, diluc was perfect. his shoulders were broad and prominent, his chest so defined and always made for a great place to rest your head. his waist was so small and soft for someone with such a tall and somewhat intimidating stature; despite this, he was what you’d refer to as alluring, the way strands of his signature crimson hair would fall onto his face in the middle of the day, he’d have to brush them away with a gloved hand. it was rare that he ever took off his gloves—and intimacy was one of those occasions. they were scarred and calloused, the most prominent of marks being the old, pink-ish shade of a burn diligently splattered onto his skin, weaving around the bone. you loved his hands when he didn’t care for them, you loved the way they wrapped around your’s, you loved how they would caress your face as you fell asleep next to your lover. and gods, this man was all yours. that was the best part. you were certain he was all you could ever ask for, he—

“love? are you alright?”

he’d noticed your drifting gaze and must have taken it for uncertainty.

“mm. mhm.”

hooking two arms around the back of his neck, you snaked your body over top of his, stretching like a cat and moving one hand to feel up his muscle.

“are you sure you still want to—“

“yes, ‘luc. i’m sure.”

he felt you grin against his neck, squeezing your hip.

“do you…need me to help?”

you nodded.

“alright.”

he aided you to your back, the two of you know in your previous positions. legs tangled together, he wrapped an arm around you back, still holding your hip with one hand. the head of his cock caught against your hole, clenching around nothing. it made him feel dirty to admit, but the sight made his own sex twitch.

“is this okay?”

your answer was affirmative, and he began pushing into your heat with a small hum. you whined.

after just a few more seconds he was connected to you at the hip, perfectly nestled inside as he sighed.

“does it feel alright?”

“haah.” you adjusted your back. “feels full.”

he paused, as did you.

“please move.”

diluc did as you pleaded, pulling out for a moment and pushing back in. in your lithe stomach there was a small bulge, moving in and out with his thrust, something that he traced a soft hand over the top of.

“you don’t have so—hng…gentle…”

and he couldn’t anymore. the sight of you like this drove him absolutely feral, it was a delight that he had only caught small glimpses of in the past. it was so—

“beautiful.” he spoke. “you’re absolutely beautiful. my boy.”

diluc affirmed the previous statement, clinging onto you as close as he possibly could, burring his face next to yours as he thrusted back in again. he groaned, beginning to hold a pace of sorts. as far as he could tell, you were perfect. you were molded to each other; your was body so perfectly pilant under his—he couldn’t ask for more.

“you’re so good f’me, yea? so good.” his words fell breathily into the crook of your neck. he was assertive, comfortingly so.

you dug your hand into his shoulder—it was sure to leave a red mark against the scars that traced his skin. he rolled his hips against yours with sweet rhythm; he was sweet, bearing the essence of mountain berries and a familiar musk. he never smelt like booze, despite being in close vicinity to it nearly all day, you found it refreshing. refreshing, he was refreshing. holding you close so softly, treating you so delicately. he knew that you weren’t—it was only in his nature, seeing you hurt was the last thing that he could do. he certainly wasn’t one of passiveness, so he took action instead. this man wanted to do everything in his power to make you feel comforted, loved, and good. and for all that it was worth, what you had was perfect.

like pieces of a puzzle—his chest was molded to yours as he clung to you, your insides matched perfectly to fit him. if anything brandished divinity, it was this moment, or perhaps your head was shrouded in the heat of the moment. heat; everything felt hot and heavy, your abdomen straining and ready to snap at any spontaneous moment.

“close, luc…” you uttered, and you could tell he was too.

his thrusts grew quicker and sloppier, groaning softly onto your skin. the noises that left your lips, falling into the sweet air were soft and warm, bordering on climax, something diluc felt he could bask in.

an intense heat clouded in your stomach and head as you came with a somewhat pitiful whine, absolutely beautiful to diluc.

he pulled out using what restraint he had, spilling onto your abdomen in a few quick strokes. he began to pull away, stopping himself as he felt your arms wrap themselves tightly around his core.

“stay here.” you panted.

his own excretion dirtied his and your stomach, figuring he would clean you up later. all that mattered was right now.

“was i…too much?” his voice was drowsy and low, exhausted from his own euphoria. he spoke as if he didn’t treat you with the care of a precious glass heirloom—you couldn’t help but chuckle.

“please,” you leaned up to quickly kiss him, rubbing circles onto his shoulder. “it was perfect.”

At first, it’s hopeless. The Scottish boy is surly, violent, hoards sharp objects, and eats anything that isn’t nailed down. Then Steve begins to notice things: that, as well as Gaelic, the boy speaks flawless French, far better than Steve’s own. That he can read it – Latin, too. That he isn’t small so much as desperately under-fed. That when Steve finally convinces the boy – James Buchanan, Bucky – to cut his filthy, matted curtain of hair, the face revealed is the most beautiful thing Steve has ever seen.

Glancing back up, Steve realizes that there’s something off about what he’s seeing. It takes him a moment to place it, overcome as he is with seeing his home—and it is his home, the Brooklyn he grew up in.

But the longer he stares, the more the image starts to distort. His own memories layer over top, a perfect duplication, but it’s like a layer of paint. He scrubs a hand over his eyes, stares harder and—there! The colors flicker out like cheap lights, fading away into grayscale till the sky is off-white, the East River churning charcoal below him.It’s eerie, uncanny, the not-quite-rightness of it all. If he doesn’t focus on anything in particular, the image snaps back into place, right again.

It unsettles him, making him nervous and flighty in place of the warm familiarity he’d felt only moments before.

Then he remembers: Hadn’t Bucky called to him, from just this spot?
