of two minds
You were human once. Mortal.
You would have had to be, to be able to explain as much as you have to your Paladin, Nomu.
Your existence is different from that now. You do not have a name and do not feel discomforted by that. Very different from how mortals work, how necessary it is for mortals to name life around them, to pin things down.
Nomu, your beloved Paladin, calls you “His Lady.” You do not need anything more than that.
You usually are not extremely aware of the gap between godhood and a mortal mind, yet at this moment, peering through your Paladin’s eyes at the one called ‘All Might,’ you are never more aware.
It is a yawning chasm, this range of experience.
Your being almost itches.
“My Lady?”
Oh. You curl your being around Nomu, in efforts to comfort him. Nothing is wrong. You’re simply...thinking.
The bone thin face is familiar, as are those sunken sockets where blue eyes peek out from. Not because Nomu, and thus you, have seen him before like this.
But because a mortal you, a different you, witness this individual upon a television screen. You...you struggle dig up memories of that time. Intellectually,   you know everything those memories hold, like the man’s real name (Toshinori Yagi) and his Quirk (One for All).
You even have thoughts on a past interaction between him and another called Sir Nighteye, begging his man to retire before his self appointed role buried him in an actual grave.
He refused, of course. If he hadn’t, he wouldn’t be here. In fact...
Nomu, you wouldn’t exist without this man. Isn’t that strange? Should I...thank him?
“...you’re right. He’s All Might and I was created to fight All Might. Huh. What a strange thing to realize.”
“But why thank him?”
You giggle. Brush against your Paladin. Silly Nomu. You love Nomu, and anything that made him exist...that is good.
There is a warmth in Nomu, that he tries to bury at your shared feeling/words/appreciation. How much you care about him.
(This is why he is your Paladin and you are his God.)
So yes. You know of Toshinori Yagi. But the feelings that are in those memories...are inaccessible to you. Again, you know what they are but you can’t feel them. Not at all.
As a mortal, All Might might have been...a favorite! How strange!
Because when you see him through Nomu’s gaze, other than the faint gratitude that his existence has brought about Nomu’s, you feel...
Not disgust, too strong. More of a faint distaste?
Because this man....he has spent his entire life in opposition to what you are. What you are god of, monsters and tools and inhumanity.
(There are no room for beasts, in a world ruled by Peace.)
Worst than that, he was a monster. For what is more unnatural than carrying so many ghosts inside of one’s self, using their Quirks and Strength as Nomu does.
But also not.
Because Nomu uses his powers to free other nomu. To raise up the tools that society deemed useless, brainless. Creatures fitting only mercy kills, no personhood about them.
But All Might...
This society loves him, doesn’t it? Loves their Pillar.
If you hate society, you decide, you do not love this man. Because of your god nature. He gave up his monsterhood to be something palatable to this unnatural peace. In exchange, you give him up too. He is not yours.
“What about All Might?”
Nomu, decide what you may, but remember...
This man seeks peace. We do not. For that, we will be enemies in the end.
No matter what kindness he offers now.

D!N!D! Jumping straight into battle with some weretigers!
I fricken forgot the dangers of fighting were-creatures because the last time I fought them, I was one and didn't have to worry about being transformed! But there are definitely worse things to be than a weretiger. I love them.
In related news: I got bit. I resisted! But I got pounced on and bit. That's my move as a preferred feline shapeshifter come on! Rude.
Oooooohohoooo looks like Hershel may be a cleric-paladin multiclass??
---
Hooooooooly shit I critted against this one guy and got max fuckin damage woooooah!
Our bardlock is wrestling with another weretiger and resisted! Harper is happy but my husband is kind of like awww. Totally get it, I'm the same way lol.
It was a rough start but also we're like hahah heck nah, and there's one left, and we're almost laughing at them. They tried. They tried. But come on, we're allll magical. And my druid got the killing blow on all of them... I shared the starbursts. Teamwork makes the dream work!
---
Hershel had been mostly put in this group to make canonical comments like 'emotional daamage!' and we love him for it.
Ohhhh my god he's a cleric of Mystra again lmao my friend just loves that. Our wizard asked him to help train her with a staff since she's out of shape.
Hershel: I mean, sure, but I'm pretty sure your druid friend over there knows her way around a staff too
My druid: *Twirling staff with fingers and then drops it* fuck.
Hershel: ... On the other hand, maybe I could be helpful here.
Druid: I feel dumber in this world, at least you guys have it easy trying to get your strength back-
Hershel: Oh, I can help with that! You can probably study a little bit with these: *pulls out manga series Fullmetal Alchemist* They literally talk about all the chemical compositions of everything they're doing in here!
Druid: ... Alright. Gimme.
---
Aw mannnnn we're getting close to the undead, the plant surroundings are dying, and the necromancy magic is surrounding the magicules again even worse than before.
I momentarily forgot part of my character's backstory is that the cult she's chasing/is chasing her that when they make a kill, they forcibly warp their body into partial animals. FMA with the dog and little girl thing... My druid is crying while Hershel is busy badly cooking dinner, and we're choking on it.
Wizard: How much salt did you add?
Hershel: ... I'm out of salt.
Companions tell Hershel why my druid is having a bit of a mental breakdown, he instead offers My Hero Academia and I just say to the DM: Nomus?
Fuck xD
He laid out all the popular shonen manga series for my druid to pick from and we're questioning how much room he's got in his bag.
Also my druid just dropped she used to do a bit of gang informant stuff and everyone at the table was like wait what?!?!
Urchins do what they gotta do, come on.
---
Oh shit stuff is happening through the night. Our wizard's life force is being drained in her sleep. There is a skeletal figure over her and somehow slipped past a really good perception check from our bardlock.
We are surrounded by zombies oh my god. There are 6 around us. At least we've got a cleric that can turn the undead. 3 failed the save so at least we're thinning the fight for now. The fact one was able to drain from the max hp of our wizard...
Oh it was a wight. Ohkay. No thanks. At least the two of them were turned... Probably a fight for later but we're all up now.
As a side note, our DM has been rolling so many nat 20s tonight for both enemies and Hershel so it's just. Wow.
We had to restart the long rest and then continued on. The area we get to eventually lacks sunlight, there's like a cloud covering, and all the plants of the forest are dead.
Our wizard got a point of exhaustion from not being able to handle breathing in such horrible air and we're getting war flashbacks.
We finally made it to the ocean... But it's dark and gloomy and horrible. Even though the sea wasn't her favourite part of her adventures, my druid does miss the oceans of her own world.
The wizard, who is a pirate, is even more devastated since she was really looking forward to seeing the ocean. There is a sus looking mountain range to the north and a huge zombie hoard to the south... And that's where we leave off for the evening!

Cardfight Vanguard G: Next turn 27 thoughts
Tumblr media
Chrono vs Aichi
First off, let’s talk about the changes in the opening. Didn’t expect them to replace episode scenes so soon though xD So, the part with Aichi throwing the card to Chrono was meant to be right before the chorus. Thought it fit better at the end, but it still works. The action scenes with Try3+Kazuma vs Diffrider looked epic. We also got to take a better look at the new Shiranui as well as Verno and Saori’s aces. I kinda like the new Genesis unit.
Now, on to the episode itself.
Tumblr media
Looks like Shin got hit by a wave of nostalgia.
Poor Kamui though xD I can understand why he doesn’t want to be reminded of his Elementary School self.
Then he, subconsciously, starts saying out loud what he's thinking xD
Tumblr media
As for the fight, I like how each one of them is observing the opponent. Hmm, I think it might be the first time Aichi sees Gear Chronicle in action. His face says it all xD  Personally, I find the play style fun and I can’t really seem to get bored of it.
Aichi’s new Royal Paladin deck is meant to be the star of this episode, though (I’m sure for a lot of fans it really is). Well, most of the artworks are surely a step up. It seems to work similarly to the old one, only with Stride support. Can’t really say more than that though, since I’m not that knowledgeable...
The soundtrack which played during Aichi’s Stride was nice. In a way, it reminded me of the one played when Aichi brought out Blaster Blade, back in the first season (the part after the first 28 seconds), but this one sounds better. And I find it more pleasant to listen to.
Tumblr media
The atmosphere is getting heavier.
Hmm, Chrono remembering his very first Vanguard fight was an interesting addition. It is said that sometimes you have to go back to where you started in order to move forward.
Tumblr media
Ok, I have seen this before...
Tumblr media
Thought so xD A bit of Psyqualia is always welcome. I kinda wish Chrono would question it, or at least bring up his fight with Ren. It doesn’t have to turn into a big deal, just Chrono thinking about it a little.
More importantly, Aichi explains his reason for wanting to study cosmology. So, it’s mostly out of pure curiosity. I think it’s a good enough reason. Especially because it was incited by a hobby. It’s kinda similar to when an anime or game makes me want to research a certain topic (mostly related to mythology, urban legends or Japanese culture in my case xD)
Hmm, so Chrono is actually the one wants to visit Cray. I wonder if that’s a hint to what he might be doing in the future.
Tumblr media
I don’t know if I should laugh or feel sorry for Shin.
Kamui’s face though xD
Tumblr media
Anyway, the result was pretty much expected (I opted for the fight remaining unfinished though...). In the end, we didn’t get to see GB8...though it was pretty close. If I counted right, there were 7 cards face up in the G Zone.
Tumblr media
About time. I was wondering where Kai went during last week’s episode. Turns out he was hanging out or Ibuki. Or maybe he was sleeping on a bench and Ibuki found him.
Anyway....Didn’t Ibuki test Chrono like 4 times before? It doesn’t really make much sense to do the same now. Unless he found out something new. Or there is something up with this person they have to talk to.
Speaking of which, the upcoming episodes summaries pretty much revealed who that is. It is indeed a Tatsunagi, but not Takuto. It’s his brother, Nomu. Don’t know what to say about this. I’ll wait for his introduction before I speculate anything.
Tumblr media
Wait, that doesn’t look like the Link Joker clan symbol. Most likely an animation error, since the preview clearly shows him using his Messiah deck.
Since I brought up the preview, it was funny, especially the part in which Shin runs away when Chrono asks for a pay raise xD
