How Diluc is in a romantic relationship:

Warning: slightly suggestive towards the end, but nothing explicitly expressed. 

First and foremost, he’ll treat you like an treasured heirloom. Priceless and valuable. While, in the relationship, he won’t put you on a pedestal or anything, you will be equals through and through, just know in his heart he will greatly treasure your being. That’s why when he asks for your opinion on something, he’ll weigh it highly on the tier of importance, but not to the point where he forgets his priorities of course. He keeps a leveled head regardless because that’s Diluc for you (and I guess that applies to Tauruses as well, grounded and what not, but certainly an attractive trait.)

But you’ll definitely see it in the way he treats you. In those rare moments you have together in privacy and you touch his hand or his arm, he’ll catch your wrist and kiss it softly as you gaze upon his gentle and princely features, his long ruby lashes resting against his light radiant skin. 

He won't even notice how he makes you feel unless you’re blatantly blushing or shaking from the butterflies ransacking from within you. After you tell him how he made you feel, he will give you a warm smile just happy you weren’t revolted by the gesture.

Understand that although he knows that there are many who would desire to be with him (due to his wealth) or find him attractive, he doesn’t think there’s anyone who truly loves him until he met you and to his surprise who also wants to be with him. So, it’s like he knows he’s good looking, but he’s shocked that you think he’s good looking (he’s a dork like that). He’s also pleasantly drawn back whenever he finds out that you like his company or whatever he does for you because sometimes he does things thinking it was a given or natural and doesn’t expect any reaction or appreciation for it. Please tell him sincerely your thoughts and you’ll find him glowing (even if he tries to hide it because he’s too humble.)

Now, if you were in a long established relationship, I would have reason to believe he would forego the warm smile and smirk at you because he takes a little pride knowing that he, and only he, can make you feel this way. 

(I know he can smirk....this is his smirk from the official Genshin Impact Webtoon. Although he wouldn’t give this kind of malicious smirk, it’ll be a more...softer but still cocky smirk. I wonder if that made sense?)

Maybe he’ll even tease you if he’s feeling confident or knows that you are absolutely comfortable with him doing so. Nothing aggressive or explicit, just a few words spoken in a low voice. Something that would get you riled up because he knows you by then. Uhuhu, to be able to be read by this man. What an honor.

Still, he’ll never overstep the line because it’s all about comfort and consent with this man. So, fortunately or unfortunately (depending on how you view this), he doesn’t really show you this side of himself very much. If you wish to see it more, you’ll have to communicate that to him and maybe he’ll be a little more liberal with you in privacy??

He does like to assert his dominance once in awhile, but he’s never too overbearing because he doesn’t want to scare you or make you feel uncomfortable or overpower your personal autocracy. Actually I think he’ll keep his I-torture-criminals side to himself because he doesn’t actually find that side appealing to anyone he wants to be with romantically involved with. After all, “wouldn’t you want to treat your loved ones with care and respect?” 

So, I think he would be uncomfortable with the idea of treating you harshly in any way or means because once again, you are too important to him. He only wants to protect and care for you. (I’ll write more about how he goes about this in love language I don’t know...but definitely in another post because I have too much to talk about on this subject.)

Thank you for reading to the end of my very first post here. I’m sorry if it felt short? I’m actually verbally constipated because I actually have a lot to write for Diluc and Kaeya that it’ll take time to sort out my ideas that I’ve been holding to myself.

I think the beautiful thing (or unfortunate depending on how you view this) about fictional characters, is that we’re allow to explore aspects of their character that may be limited in the real world with real people or as long as it has not been stated as canon in the story/lore otherwise. (The unfortunate side because sometimes you wish you knew more canon details about a character, but they won’t write it for us.) What I mean by this is, we don’t know if Diluc could be an AroAce or Bi (hetero is overrated -- don’t @ me on this), but we’re allowed explore and imagine his character in all of those routes because of fiction. But just knowing what we do know about Diluc, I’ll love him all the same because I love his character and personality with all his flaws and personal struggles.
