I thought exploring Sumeru would be toilsome. but as i've already done every quest i could get my hands on i can go everywhere so it's not that bad. & the whole place is neato.

INAZUMA, on the other hand... ruu was RIGHT when he said that it's Purple. why is EVERYTHUNG so purple. and why is so much exploration barred behind sakura tree levels. my apologies ei but makoto must die a second time for her transgressions. 4.5 is a Mondstadt event time. Banners Chiori/Itto in the first half and Kazuha/Neuvillette in the second.

The new banner type, containing Albedo, Klee, Eula, Diluc, Mona, Jean, and a bunch of standart weapons including Tighnari and Dehya signatures. Basically you choose a path on the banner and if it's a weapon then you only get weapons, if it's a chara you only get charas. Also it's 50/50 so the second 5* is guaranteed to be your desired one, not like on the weapon banner.

So we will get a new territory in 4.6, exactly the place I told you about, between Sumeru, Fontaine and Liyue. I think it's gonna count as Fontaine territory, so fountain levels update, yay. For the banner the leaks so far say that the first half is the Arlechino/Nilou and second is Alhaitham/Furina.

Genshin challenges

I've set myself a challenge in Genshin - well 2 actually and I'm going to be doing them.

The first is one that I've already started. It's where I pick 14 teams out of the 15 team slots and build each character, test their abilities and see if the team comp works. I have 3 teams built and I'm working on the 4th at the moment. It's quite fun and I enjoy testing out the teams, plus it's great for when the spiral abyss resets so I have other team comps to use.

(The 15th slot is for random teams used to fight bosses. I have a team that I use exclusively for the Ruin Serpent and a team exclusively for Azhdaha. Need to make more for the other bosses)

The second one is starting tomorrow.

As of 4.6, I will not be spending a single primogem at all. This will be my hardest challenge since I will not only be doing this for all of 4.6, but also up until 5.0. I want to see just how many primogems a f2p player can get from just dailies, maintenance, exploration, events, the spiral abyss (still can't 36 star btw), character trials, redeem codes, achievements etc.

In the 3 years I've played, no money has been spent so I'm completely f2p and since I'm more of a spender of my wishes than a saver, I wanna try and save. I did save recently because I badly wanted Kazuha and managed to save up 30 wishes and got him and his signature weapon, by skipping the banners: Xianyun & Nahida, Xiao & Yae Miko and Chiori & Itto. The last day I spent was on the 2nd of February and I got Gaming. I was pretty proud of my saving achievement and decided to raise the stakes.

So during 4.6, 4.7 & 4.8, no primogems will be spent HOWEVER, acquaint fates will be. Since I'm doing the team challenges as well, I will need to level up characters, thus giving me free acquaint fates as well as the free Battle Pass section gives you 5 acquaint fates.

The fountain of Lucine will update on 4.6, thus giving me more and I still have the Inazuma & Sumeru trees to level and get more acquaint fates that way. All intertwined gates from the fountain and trees and primogems, however, can not and will not be touched.

When 5.0 is announced, I will choose my character I want and see if I can AT LEAST get them and their signature, if not just them will do. I have won my 50/50 in both the character and weapon banners, so there's a chance that I may lose but hopefully I will have enough to get them and win. I may get lucky (I really hope so!) and get them early or win my 50/50, but knowing my luck; I'd need a miracle for that to happen.

I will do posts regarding my progress of anyone's interested and cry at the fact that Arlecchino, Clorinde, Sigewinne, Sethos and reruns like Baizhu, Wanderer and others will be unavailable to me and I must try and not cave in and spend. With only acquaint fates to use, I may get lucky and finally get either Tighnari or Dehya and then I'll have all standard banner 5 star characters; even if Dehya sucks.

So yeah, that's my 2 challenges and tomorrow begins the hardest one. Yippee

Can we see your Kaeya builds?

sure! freeze is my most used build in Kaeya - Kazuha - Kokomi - Chongyun team, i use it all the time for farming and overworld exploration bc it's very comfy and efficient as long as the enemy is freezable, and this team has grouping and doesn't have problems with needing to get burst back and shit, so it's v good for exploration

blizzard domain hates me tho, so despite me running it for like 3 months straight, my artifacts are ugly. when they release defense scaling cryo i'm gonna crush it tho

next is my "physical" build, but i don't actually like playing physical, I use this build with hyperbloom as a driver, bc kaeya works really well for freezing them annoying constipated beasts and shits like that.

and this is the EM sands reverse melt build, which like i basically only play in the abyss when i'm in the mood or when i had to carry dehya to 36 stars on a bet

btw, he's on 5 star swords bc there were few months where i basically didn't really want any characters on the banners and i have "ur so pretty, mwah have a lil gift" mentality, but i had him on 4 star blackliff sword before and it worked perfectly fine, so like, it's not necessary.

Yellow there! It’s been a while hasnt it? How have you been doing bxnny? A lot has happened since i last sent an ask but to summarize, im done with my final exams and now have a lot of free time in my hands which i gladly use to play story quests that i have been letting pile up and taking some naps. I also read some of the requests that you have done btw! I really like the “Boothill cybrorg S/O” and your recent one “the little sibling” one. The former just makes me feel sad and angsty and i would love to see a continuation of it.

Also im planning on wishing for Furina btw, i just finished her story quest and it just made me love her character even more. I have to admit that i didnt like how pushy the traveler and paimon was when they were trying to make go act again after she just finished her “archon” act but aside from that, it was genuinely a beautiful quest. Im really excited to get her since im guranteed on getting her (lost Clorinde to Dehya, i originally only wished on her banner to get Sethos but stopped after the scare from Dehya gave me). Im also also planning to get Firefly on HSR because she has such a cool gameplay and very pretty as well. Are there any characters you wish to get on either HSR or Genshin?

I'm glad to hear from you again and happy to know that you've been freed from the shackles of exams, lol. I unfortunately am not free from them just yet, but with only 2 days of school collectively left, I'm excited to finally potentially have time to write and sleep more, haha. I'm doing alright otherwise, though, just super sleep deprived as usual.

And yeah, the Furina quest was really good, and I agree with what you're saying. Everyone should've just left her alone for a while after what happened tbh.

I have to admit that I haven't played either genshin or hsr in like a month and a half, mainly due to being super busy and disinterested in the games rn. I also don't really have any new characters I want to pull for anymore until Natlan comes out, so I can pull for the Archon (I have all Archons in game and need to complete the collection haha).

btw chronicled banner prediction for 4.6-4.8(any of the versions): ayaka ganyu shenhe kokomi childe ayato (theme is freeze lol). Their weapons and a bunch of other weaps such as summit shaper and pjc with maybe a couple of others. It would actually be hell for me bcz I want one Kokomi, Ayaka cons, maybe one or two Shenhe cons, and a bunch of swords listed here, but not ganyu/childe/ayato or their weaps.

Idk if they will ever include archons in this type of banner. But characters who meet the condition of having had 3+ banners (excluding standard and 4.5 chronicle chars as well as the ones I listed above as a prediction): venti zhongli raiden nahida hutao xiao kazuha yoimiya itto yae yelan cyno. Standard (excl the 4.5 chars): keqing qiqi tighnari dehya.

Clearly, a liyue banner can be made this way, and if we shuffle around and my freeze prediction isn't true, inazuma, too. Not sumeru tho, yet.

The ones who haven't met the condition yet: nilou wanderer alhaitham baizhu lyney neuvilette wriothesley furina navia xianyun (+unreleased as of 4.4 chars). The way they want to do it, as it seems, nilou wandy haitham and baizhu will get their 3rd runs within the 4.x versions, so 4.6-4.8, and lyney to navia should get their 2nd runs, too.

So for 4.6-4.8 we have left (not in any order): arlecchino wanderer nilou alhaitham baizhu lyney wriothesley clorinde furina navia. and 2 unfilled banners. Whoever those will be.

So for natlan we are left with the fontaine reruns (8 characters, including yet unreleased chars and considering chiori kind of fontainian), xianyun rerun(s), and ofc new natlan cast.

For now it seems they kind of bandaided the problem of too many chars needing reruns, but I wonder how long it will be until they need another cure

Question I've been hearing people disparage Dehya,is it just doom posting or are people being impatient about something that's literally in beta and hasn't being completed yet,or is it actually something worth worrying over?the Genshin experience TM

okay so that's the common beta leaks experience, everytime there's a new character there is a shit ton of doomposting. a good example would be kazuha, who was deemed a "5* sucrose" before basically wiping the floor with the meta and being the most awaited character to rerun once his banner ended LMAO. also raiden was seen as weak during her beta so yk. nothing to really.... take seriously

now for dehya it's a bit complicated, bc her stats don't look very good on paper. she seems to rely almost entirely on her c1, currently her ascension stat is hp% when it fondamentally doesn't affect her base kit (just makes her more tanky) and it's a weird stat for what seems to be a quick swap dps. however it wouldn't be the first time an ascension stat sucks, even for a 5* (ex. zhongli with geo% when he's essentially sold as a shield bot. it's just slightly worse bc at least geo% improves his personal dmg). i saw her scalings and they seem.... balanced, which usually isn't a good sign (it's the male character curse btw. all of these bitches are "balanced")

however a few things can be taken into account: we're at the earliest stage of the beta. dehya is far from done, the very point of the beta is for hyv to get feedback from the testers, so hopefully they'll buff her. every stat is subject to change, from her hp% ascension to her scalings. so there's no need to panic immediately. not to mention that performance on paper isn't flawless, calcs are cool but ultimately dmg varies a LOT
