@branmuffins22 ur so right to say this i have ten billion thoughts abt tohts worldbuilding and how so much of it is. bs
I would love to see a fantasy novel where the lore that the reader / protagonist learns at first is not true
#like. okay a lot of it is like oh this would be a fun joke or cool concept and then no elaboration#in universe i justify it as belos doesn't know shit abt magic so he made categories that dont actually make sense#i tend to think as potions as like. the backup track. because everyone can do potions yk#like it doesn't seem to need some specific spellwork or whatever#like it's putting ingredients together. i guess you could argue it's closer to chemistry but like#still following a recipe. maybe there's special spells for things but idk anything abt chemistry so#but like. i think in universe anyone can do potions it's not limited by spellcasting#students joking oh if i do terrible in the abomination coven at least i can go do potions!#saw a worldbuilding post abt like.
