I WANT TO HEAR MORE ABOUT THE MONSTER IN THE ARCHIVES AU!!!! Like, how and why is Jon a monster? Does anyone know? Does anyone eventually find out? When does this take place? How does it differ from canon? I MUST KNOW PLS

Why, thank you (and @official-infinitea) for asking! I'm happy to ramble a little abt this au

Essentially this AU starts with a simple but fascinating premise: what if Jon was the only one transferred to the Archives?

Basically, Elias tries a slightly different but still terrible approach. Maybe hoping to be able to reach his end goals with less potential interference from other people, maybe just because he was curious what would happen. This of course changes the course of things for obvious reasons.

Jon's spooky for the same reasons as canon, though the events that lead to his current state are very different

Now I think at this point, Jon's taken up the role a bit more similarly to Gertrude in terms of going around and interferring with other haunts and ghouls. Gets into trouble, tries to save people from being eaten, that kind of thing. He's trying his best ; w :

But wait, you say! If he didn't have the others down there with him when he got hired, what are Tim and Sasha doing down there? Well...

...Yeah. Elias is still an asshole.

In terms of timeline, it's like if S1 took place a few years later and Jon is already super spooky.

Ofc he's not exactly keen on explaining his deal to the others for a number of reasons, and is rather concerned with trying to keep them as far away from danger and the supernatural as possible. But this is the Archives, and since when does anything go to plan?
