Just remembering Civil War II, where a new Inhuman named Ulysses with procognitive abilities is treated like the most important, ground-breaking thing ever, and all the super-heroes fight over whether they should use his abilities to predict crime before it happens, and then at the end, Ulysses gets taken off to become a cosmic deity and is never seen or heard from again.
#this is not an invitation to bash on the Inhumans btw#I love the Inhumans#this is just poking fun at overhyped Marvel events#and Ulysses being the most obvious plot device character since Hope Summers#at least Hope has kept showing up long enough to develop a personality#if Destiny was still alive at the time she'd be sitting back like see this is why I just say vague mysterious things and lie a lot
