when i went to the eras tour in tampa earlier this year we were waiting outside the stadium for awhile bc we wanted to be early to get merch, and during this time i almost passed out from the heat (which was significantly lower than it was in brazil on friday btw) + lack of hydration. however, once we got inside there were ample places to get large amounts of water, which ultimately prevented me from passing out. EVERY stadium should provide that and i am so disgusted and sick over the fact that somebody’s LIFE could’ve been saved over the stadium literally doing the bare minimum.

f1news Mclaren had Pato O’ward fill in for Oscar Piastri all throughout 3 practice sessions. Oscar is reportedly cleared for driving and is healthy as told by the FIA.

Even without putting in time and practicing Oscar will be driving for qualifying and the main race.

Everyone is now questioning what exactly is going on inside Mclaren and is what they’re doing ethical and safe not only for their driver but also for the whole grid.

DATING HAN LUE HEADCANONS

a/n: hello there! it's been a while since i've written for this lovely man but i recently found this on my notes and figured it's a good time to finish it. this was a request i got a while ago, it was by an anon so anon if you see this, i got you!!

the request only asked for dating headcanons so there's not much plot in here unlike the waitress one.

i feel really bad cause i got my han girlies on my inbox asking for more han content and i've been jumping from fandom to fandom. i just need the last movie to come out to fuel the love i have for han.

Han is a man who prefers long term relationships. Amongst a life full of chaos he relishes on those relationships he can lean back and find calm and comfort, someone he can rely on.

Doesn’t mean Han's not into hook ups though. Whenever he’s single he’ll have his fair share of one nights stands. At the end of the day he's a man with needs, especially since he loves putting his life on the line.

Han he keeps people in boxes: friends, off limits, hookups, and relationship material. Of course there’s also that box with bright red letters that spell TOXIC. Most people in that box are one night stands that thought they stood a chance after a hookup and became a little unhinged.

Whenever Han finds that person that is relationship material he doesn’t let them go. He’ll pursue them in his cool and nonchalant way. He’ll compliment them so smoothly they won’t notice until much later.

Han will invite you out to do random stuff, wording it as 'errands' and it’s only in the middle of it that you realize it’s a date. Lunch followed by a scenic walk in a park in Tokyo and then dessert? Definitely a date. It’s perfect because it takes those first date jitters out of the way.

You fall in love with him way too quickly and Han knows when you do. It's your own fault because once you realize you're head over heels you become this mumbling, blushing mess.

It was a smooth transition from friends to dating to being in a relationship and it's all because of Han. He's great at reading people and it helped him ease your nerves and figure out how you were feeling with every outing.

With entering a new relationship there's a period of getting to know the other person. Han is an open book, he doesn't see the point of hiding anything with the girl that might be his future. You either accept him as he is now or you don't and that's the end. He has nothing to hide although he tiptoes around his late teens.

When Han tells you of his life as a fugitive you don't believe him. You laugh in his face. Like, “Yeah, sure. You pulled off a heist in Brazil and stole from the richest mafia man with your posey of misfits. Hilarious.” Han shrugs and moves on.

You could've googled it but you don't. You just think Han had a rough upbringing he doesn’t like to talk about. Which is partly true but not the case. It comes to bite you in the ass afterwards.

Moving on, Han is not a fan of pecks on the lips. If it’s not a kiss that lasts more than 5 seconds don’t fucking bother. He’s an all or nothing kinda man, you know?

I mean it’s not like Han will fight you if you do but it's visible how he's left wanting more. You’ve learned your lesson the hard way. You’re in a rush and to say goodbye you quickly peck him on the lips and then Han will pull you back in and plant a good kiss in, successfully making you even more late.

That being said Han adores kisses on the forehead or temple or back of the head. Han will randomly walk up to you while you do chores around the apartment and press a kiss to the back your head with his hands on your hips. Then he’ll walk off like nothing happened, leaving you all ☺️☺️.

Dating Han includes spending nightfall in each others arms. Resting in the increasingly comfortable sofa and raking your fingers through his hair, coaxing him to stay in.

"Do you have to go out, Hannie?" You whisper, scratching on his scalp making him shudder.

"I told them I'd be there." Han's response is muffled as he gets more comfortable, his face pressed against your breasts.

"But do you have to?" You insist as your other hand goes to scratch his back.

"I guess I can stay in and see them tomorrow night," Han sighs as he relaxes even more against you. He's far too comfortable and this cuddling will soon evolve into something much more exciting by the way you're hanging on to him.

For a time there Han pauses his life for you. He stops going to the races and ignores the calls of the Toretto crew to nurture your growing relationship.

By pausing Han completely ignores that other part of his life leading the Toretto gang to come to Tokyo. It’s not like Han meant to ignore them he was just enjoying his time with you so much that he didn’t realize how much time had gone. We’ll get into that later.

Han is not one to argue a lot. If you’re annoyed at him for one reason or another he’ll take it and try to distract you. Whether it’s by calling you a sweet nickname or holding you or kissing you.

But if it’s about something that puts you at risk Han will put his foot down. You went out with your friends late at night and walked home alone? Unacceptable. Do you know how many sickos are out there? That's when real arguments form because you can be so stubborn and independent. You can handle yourself. Han trusts you fully, it's the outside world he doesn't trust.

If you prioritize your job instead of your well being? Nope. Han will have to step in. Hell you don’t have to work if you don’t want to. He has enough money for the two of you. The idea of being taken care of like that is so tempting but you do like having your own life and money.

Sleepy, morning ‘I love you’s.’ That’s when he says those three words the most. You typically wake up before him so you’ll play with his hair and trace your fingertips on his back to softly wake him up.

It's mid morning and you've just woken up. You turn in bed to find Han sleeping on his stomach, his long hair covering his eyes and tickling his cheeks.

You brush the hair away from Han's face, tracing your fingertips over his face to softly wake him. You'd typically let him sleep in more but you had plans for the day and he insisted in driving you around.

He starts to stir and softly groans. Your hands go to his naked back, because he loves when you do that. "Good morning, handsome."

june 24th (ish): racingnews says that alpine sent an offer to carlos sainz (x) which later we know would join williams. also, we will learn in december through briatore that the alpine negotiations failed because "alpine wanted a longer commitment than carlos was willing to offer (he was only willing to sign for two years meanwhile alpine/briatore wanted four)." july 1st: franco is announced to drive the fp1 at silverstone using logan's car. it's the first and only time he gets a fp as a reserve driver. (JV says this)

july 29th: carlos is finally announced as a full time driver for williams from 2025 onwards which meant the alpine seat was still "available".

july 31st: an italian outlet announces that jack is soon to be announced/sign for 2025.

august 23rd: alpine announces jack with what it seemed one year contract.

august 27th: williams announces franco would race for the remainder of the season and that they were dropping logan (yes, in that order).

in my opinion, flavio never stopped looking for a driver he liked more or someone he saw as having greater potential. alpine already has jack’s data, and he has been their reserve driver for two years. I don’t want to speculate, but it seems like they might not be fully convinced about his performance based on that.

franco made his debut just days after alpine announced jack, which means the contract was signed before franco emerged. as briatore said, franco came out of nowhere for the non-williams teams.

it’s not franco’s fault. if anything, it might be alpine’s mistake for rushing into a decision when they thought they didn’t have - what they might consider - a better and "cheaper" option available.

also it seems odd that briatore talks about committment when talking about sainz, but they signed jack for only a year...

i don't what will happen in this telenovela because we can't even compare franco vs jack :/ abu dhabi is not a valid parameter because yes, jack qualified far behind franco who was driving a barely breathing joint by duct tape williams, but it was also his first f1 qualy which seems "unfair" to judge that. also franco was out of the race because of oscar bumping into him under vsc so well, i guess we will see...

Keira, Leah and Georgia have know Lucy Bronze for years. They would always be around each other whenever they had their international duties. They aren’t called the ‘three best friends and Lucy’ for nothing.

However, the three have been noticing some changes in their friend’s behavior. For the past two years, Lucy has become more secretive. She would also lie a lot more to them, something she hasn’t really done before.

They didn’t think much of it until the past couple of months. Lucy’s been canceling on plans more often than not. She would leave right after training ends, not even showering at the facilities. Most importantly, she would have some secret phone calls, making sure to be away from prying ears.

The three best friends wanted to do their own little investigation, wanting to figure out what was happening to their friend and what she was hiding. Yes, it’s a bit of an invasion of her privacy, but they knew Lucy wasn’t going to be telling them anytime soon.

The Lionesses had just finished up a training session, moving into the recovery room for an ice bath. The four friends were in the bath together when a ring of a phone interrupts their conversation. Lucy, knowing it was her phone, grabbed it, seeing the name on the screen and excuses herself to take the call.

Answering the video call, Lucy is met by a face so close to the screen.

It was now the day of the Women’s Finalissima against Brazil. You were in the friends and family section with Paisley, sat on the seats.

In the twenty-third minute, Ella Toone gets a goal in from an assist by your wife. Paisley jumping up and down from her seat. That was the only goal until halftime.

The second half started, many substitutions and a couple of yellow cards being given out. In the three minute of added time, Brazil got a goal in, disappointing the England team and fans.

Eventually, the match went into penalties. Everyone was on the edge of their seat. England winning 4-2.

Once the England players got their medals and trophy, friends and family were allowed onto the pitch. It took a while to get down and see where Lucy was, but once Paisley did, she ran straight to her, running into her legs.

Just thinking about the season and more I think about it the more I get pissed off some things are little and basic respect and some are worse let’s give some examples

Start with a smallish one

Piastri in Miami not congratulating Lando or the team in part ferme, basic respect to your teammate who’d won his first race and the team who worked hard, he was never winning anyway with out the contact with Carlos which was pure racing incident. Even Fernando congratulated his old team went over to them. Yes he might have done it in private but it’s always nice to see respect after a race.

Hungary…..pure blackmail and manipulation, I could go on for days about this we all know them radios but the fact Martin Brundle who was commenting at the time said them radios even made him feel uncomfortable tells you everything

McLaren not even thinking about the drivers to priories Lando till BRAZIL when basically was too late and they done it for show you can’t tell me otherwise. People said after Zandvoort to do it race 15 of 24 with 3 sprints.

With a mention of Brazil and the sprint, McLaren hesitating and giving Lando mixed messages, now Max Fewtrell (Lando’s bestie addressed this on stream, he’s also ex racing driver for those who don’t know) saying “what are McLaren doing”, “Lando’s been in dirty air for 7 laps and McLaren aren’t doing anything” then Lando comes on the radio to ask what their doing, max goes on to say “clearly mixed messages again, I know how he’s feeling and he’s sick of it now (he as in Lando) implying that what happened in the briefing wasn’t happening.

Monza next I don’t have a problem with them racing but diving bombing your teammate Lap 1 at turn 4 when everyone is still close together since it’s lap one is stupid, if Lando has t backed out they’d have crashed but as a result of that Charles got past and that cost them the win. A sensible thing would be to let them pull away first Charles in the order they were then race so not risking losing position. McLaren admitted weeks later they went about it the wrong way.

McLaren letting Lando take all the blame, when things happened in racing that weren’t Lando’s fault like the start in Hungary he had a glitch in his starting software they let Lando get ridiculed for weeks by everyone fans, commentators then finally admitted it, same in Brazil race they had break temp issues which was one of the main factors in Lando going off track, the abuse Lando got off that was horrific and Lando clearly wasn’t in a good place after saying some kind of worrying but upsetting things on Max’s stream.

Qatar penalty, Lando should have lifted but didn’t see the flags and they were constantly going yellow,green it was a honest mistake no one came out and said oh it was a honest mistake from Lando instead he he beat himself up again quite harshly and once again we heard that on Max’s stream where Max refused to keep playing with Lando till he ate something,

Social media Lando all season got horrible horrible abuse online even death threats and McLaren done absolutely nothing, in comparison to this Arrow McLaren (McLarens Indy team) put out a statement regarding pourchaire getting hate and death threats from canapino fans, he’d been with the team one race bare that in mind Lando was getting that for months on end on every social media platform, Carlos even removed himself from their joint Mexico post, which Lando was getting abuse on from races after.

Lando has helped Oscar more than Oscar has helped Lando I don’t know where the narrative came from that Oscar’s lost points because of “helping”

Oscar never once thanked Lando for Hungary, Baku, Qatar which Lando played a vital part in, Lando always thanked or complimented Oscar even when he really didn’t need to like Miami

McLaren and Mental Health, Lando is and always has been very honest and open and an advocate for mental health yet McLaren do nothing to support him until they want him to make a video for it.

Oscar had to be told twice to drive carefully to not cause a safety car or accident when Lando was leading a race, McLaren need to speak about this because it’s twice it’s happened. It was Miami and and Abu Dhabi potentially costing your teammate a win.

The lack of media literacy in f1 fans is astounding sometimes.

Ultimately it’s the fault of journalists who are misrepresenting quotes from drivers and making them seem to say things they don’t mean. But misrepresentation doesn’t excuse this.

For example, Lando’s full quote after Brazil.

“ It shouldn't have been red flagged but there was the crash in the end which cause it so... that's life sometimes. You take a gamble and it's paid off for them. It's not talent, it's just luck.”

The last 2 lines are being represented as Lando speaking about Redbull strategy as a whole but reading the whole quote shows more as

“{we} took a gamble and it’s paid off for them. It’s not talent, it’s just luck.”

Lando is referencing his own team. He knows that McLaren, and by extension himself, is not in a position yet to win a WDC, and that their Constructor’s title is more luck than pure driver talent.

Many people say Lando’s Miami 24 win was ‘luck’ and a fluke but when Lando is perceived as saying a similar thing it’s the end of the word and a comment towards his moral character.

This isn’t an exclusive defence of Lando. He’s made many comments that I disagree with this year, as an example Austria this year, but the excessive hate towards someone who is just doing his job is unnecessary.

Maybe sit and ask yourself if anyone else in the sport made a comment that was this misrepresented would you immediately be posting hate at that person or would you take time to think critically.

Everyone is welcome to have their own opinions about different drivers, I don’t expect everyone to like everyone all the time, but leaving hate and negativity is completely over the line. I wasn't going to post this here due to the somewhat sensitive subject of idolization of celebrities and I actually already vented on Instagram stories, but once the dam breaks out it's useless to even try to contain it. And the only thing that is flooding my mind now is rage.

I already hated millionaires, but after Taylor Swift came to Brazil to that freaking circus people called a concert, I hated them even more.

In case you're not aware, Brazil is dealing incredibly badly with the climate crisis. In Rio they hit the temperature of 60°C (100F, but the sensation was of 140F). It was the highest temperature registered SO FAR. A mix of this unbearable heat and the fact that the staff managing the production of concert used certain materials such as god-damned metal to cover certain structures made several people to get severe burns and 23-year-old die of a heart attack.

Now, that's where the irony comes.

After hearing the news, the best Taylor could ever do was posting a stories saying "how sorry she was and she was so young and she was so beautiful and blablabla" but also very vehemently reinforcing that "due to her grief she wasn't going to say anything about it during the show". I mean, a person who technically loved her, had to get donations to travel across the country and literally died because of this god-damned concert and you can't even make a tiny, small tribute for her. She didn't even mention her name in the stories, which was Ana Clara, btw.

She or the staff never reached out to the family to ask if they needed anything, even though they absolutely had the means to do it. Several years ago, when a Rihanna fan was murdered, she personally paid for the expenses of the funeral, because the family couldn't afford it.

And it gets worse.

She cancelled her next performances due to the climate issues. Being herself is the biggest celebrity CO2e polluter of this year so far. And she got back to the US. In a fucking private jet.

I mean, this combo couldn't be more unbelievable. She not only completely dehumanized an incredibly painful and serious situation, as she, with the 1% of magnates that literally rule this planet, is simply the root cause of the imminent destruction of this planet but it doesn't matter, as long as she still has money being shoved into that white ass of hers.

Or maybe I'm being naive, maybe it's our fault, after all, monkeys are meant to the zoo, not to be in the presence of an untouchable, perfect and almighty nature force such as she, since apparently she can't even breathe the same air we do by just using a freaking common airplane, like a sensitive and sane person would.

Re Brazil: yeah over a thousand people either passed out or got burned by the metal grates because it was so hot inside. She didn't give any of them a dime either.

She announced she reached out to them for condolences- the family announced that had not contacted them at all- then her response to getting caught lying was to publicly invite the family to a meet and greet at the next show. Yeah, that sounds in line with the reports I read back when it happened. And yeah, no, offering them a meet and greet and show tickets honestly just feels egotistical. Why the fuck would I want to go meet you after my child died a preventable death at your show?

As far as "Taylor isn't responsible", I have one word: money.

The number one, two, and three reason venues ban outside drinks is because they want you to buy their overpriced ones, and they're willing to risk your life to force you into it. My friend and I paid $12 for ONE bottle of water at the One Direction concert in 2014. Conversely, I've been to at least seven shows that allowed unopened bottles of water into the venue.

But let's argue for a minute that the venue was banning outside drinks to drive profits. Taylor Swift has MORE than enough money that she could have paid off their expected revenue and tgen some in exchange for allowing fans to bring water. She was nearly a billionaire at that point and had two private jets - she can afford to buy off water sales. And doing so would have been both a kindness and a safety to her fans. Or, alternatively, she could make allowing fans to bring water a contingency of her choosing a venue - places would be tripping over themselves to honor her request, because everyone wants to be the one to host her shows.

And yet, she did nothing. She made a temporary social media post and moved on with her life. Because that's who she is as a person.

As a Max fan, I do admit that Max isn't perfect and I absolutely adored Lando before especially with his friendship with Max and Carlos. Lando is getting hated mainly because of the things he says and some of his actions. One was the trump thing, second, was when Max was congratulating him and he decided to snitch despite the race being over (not a big issue for me personally cause all drivers snitch). Third is the way he acted when he won the Dutch GP especially when he decided to use Max's catchphrase (I know it wasn't Max's before), most of us found it rude especially since well max's catchphrase and Lando saying that seemed as if he was mocking Max and the worst thing was it was Max's home race. Fourth, the cooldown with Lewis when Lew was merely being nice and he decided to somewhat insult him (I feel insulted despite Lewis saying it was fine). Fifth, When he called Max's win in Brazil luck not talent, I mean luck was a part of it but talent had a much larger contribution. Sixth, when McLaren fucked up and he made his engineer beg for Lando to give the place back to Oscar despite him being only there because McLaren fucked up and Iscar was doing an excellent job defending (Fuck Mclaren strategy tbh). Eight, when Oscar had to give up a win (it was a sprint but it was still a win) just for him to lose big time from Max. Ninth, when Oscar once again had to back off to give Lando a chance to catch up to Max but he couldn't pass Charles. Tenth, this is mostly due to how the FIA has been acting. They have been acting like a knight and shining armor for Lando, especially during the quali. This is not hate, I do think he is a contender for this season, the way he's been acting is somewhat the problem. (I think I have more but this is enough lmao)

there's a lot to be covered here so i'll answer the ones that caught my eye.

3) now that i've thought about it, i'd understand why max fans in particular would be mad about it. max coined the phrase, his friend essentially used it to take a dig at him. me personally, if this is what you're getting so seriously pressed about then i actually don't know what to say. this is a sport, shithousery will ensue between friends, enemies, acquaintances— everybody. it's not like lando completely ridiculed and encouraged any more hate towards max; i don't know if i can say the same for max, though.

4) that one i felt taken aback by it too. don't know why he said that, it's definitely something he could've avoided saying. but if lewis isn't bothered about it, i'm not going to be. if he was, i certainly would be and will hold lando accountable (i still do anyways)

5) this is so palpably hearsay and i cannot believe you still think this. at this point, i feel like a broken radio trying to reason with you guys and tell you that that is not what he meant. i'm sure you've come across people explaining what the actual meaning is, so let's not sit here and still believe this foolishness. if, for some reason, you still don't get it, there's a post here that explains it perfectly.

6 and 7) you are talking all about unrightful lando wins, but didn't lando have to give his place up for oscar? oscar didn't overtake lando by his own will and win, so why won't we use that against oscar? some people do, but we all know it was mclaren's fault for putting them in that position. they could've easily let them stay where they are and fight for p1, but they didn't and that is how it panned out. after them guilt tripping lando into giving the place back, are we still blaming lando for this? i know you shouldn't be because as you said, 'fuck mclaren strategy'.

8) mclaren were seemingly championship contending... up until they claimed they weren't after the brazil gp (honestly, odds were stacking up against them that they weren't because they kept fucking up more than they should've). i can tell you are either quite ignorant or haven't been a fan for long, because it seems you are too used to someone winning the championship by their own merit because of the very pitiful gap in performance between the red bull drivers, but forget that many championships have been won with the help of teammates, one of the most infamous being lewis and valterri. oscar giving up his place was to help lando (who's higher in the standings between the 2) get more points and close the gap. it wasn't a rightful sprint win, we are all aware, but that's how this sport works.

10) i was going to go hell on this take, but @landhoe-norris worded it perfectly in their post:

"Imagine thinking that an organisation that rigged a race so that your favourite drivers would win a championship, an organisation that has allowed him to run other drivers off the track for the past three years without repercussions, is now being biased against him because he ‘has the wrong passport’ when in all seriousness your favourite driver is the epitome of ‘white privilege’ and has been since he stepped into the sport."

there's nothing more for me to say.

all in all, lando is not as bad as you guys make him out to be. if anything, max, in my opinion, is worse. and looks like he'll always be.
