Okie dokes, a nice page full of DaArk doodles X) The 1st six was just playing with different red pencils (again). The Prismacolor Col-Erase + the Uni Mitsubishi Arterase Color were the best two. The last one was playing around with a few colored pencils. Most of them are Col-Erase. All this to test out an electric pencil sharpener I got on Amazon. Small, portable, + rechargeable. Point wise, not bad in length. I used a smaller sharpener to get that tip super pointy for me.

Random outfit. I can tell I used a dark red fineliner to sketch. Then black, red, gold, + light blue to color. Neon yellow gel pen for highlights + BOOM! Nice icings on the cake ☺️

Oh, this crazy pencil doodle 🤣 it was after the previous post that I wanted to play with the 0.7mm H + 0.2mm HB lead pencils again. I was in the mood to make a funny face. With all my might, I was feeling the expression with my face muscles + pulled this off. It's easily the best doodle on this page, imo.

The last two I did just now were just to fill up the rest of the page. A red gel pen doodle without guidelines. A tiny DaArk pen doodle. That is all. *yawns* ooo, a nice time to be tired :)

Merry Christmas and Thank You Jesus

Thought I'd show something interesting this time: rubber hose doodles (from my Visual Concept Development class). Well, most I recreated from @kevcraven to get a sense on how he draws the rubber hose style. Then I was able to do some on my own here + there. I even borrowed @thechrispavon 's OC, Zane Artemis for fun + curiosity (I apologize in advanced if I made him cursed-looking. If I did, then I can commence Operation: Dial "R" 4 Redemption). I highlighted the numbers in blue of the ones I liked the most. (3, 10, 11, 16, 18, 21, 26, + 28). I could go onto details but I'm getting tired for the night. Oh! Bonus for making one of my OCs, DaArk inspired by Mr. Mime from the Powerpuff Girls. I did draw that again in the doodle notebook for more curiosities + playing around with that idea for fun. I used a light blue Faber-Castell brush pen + a purple pilot needlepoint retractable roller ball pen :) Ah, its 11 PM rn. This is usually around the time I start yawning like crazy + then drift to sleep. I actually have no idea how many I'm about to upload rn. About 3 or more? Idk. Anyway, long overdue 1st page of the K9 Doodle Notebook 😅 Ok, I was trying to see if watercolor can do well here. Answer: yes but with caution. Tried doodling a Dratica head to dip my toes in the water(color). A messy DaArk doodle from a diluted fountain pen 1st + then added holographic watercolor flakes after. Adding that made me like this doodle a lot more X3 Morei Sky started as a pencil sketch. I've learned my lesson b4 to not put too much pencil in the 1st + last pages of a notebook. So I colored it :P I then added a dark watercolor for the shading of her jacket. While holding it to the light at different angles, the dark watercolor changes from black to blue to purple :3 of course, that was already shown in a previous post. For Trance, I just like his profile view the most. Next to him, I replicated my "rainbow blue hair" approach + turned it into a lady XD I felt a bit daring one day + wanted to do a smorgasbord of LP Freak's album outfits into one. The shiny watercolor was a perfect addition! Then that made me question the use of watercolors when I could've used (gel) pen. I found the answer: no gel pen can do holographic sparkles like this. I'm glad I took this pic b4 I (stupidly) decided to draw on the backside XP Then I was just so on + off when doodling Shikago. I had the (right) idea of coloring his jacket with a shiny blue watercolor. Until the page started warping. That was a battle of puddles + piles of patience. Then the fun(?) part of all of this was the bg. I added masking fluid to surround each doodle (better safe than sorry). Yeah sure, warping occurring. Two tricks: 1. Binder clips + 2. Use less water. Once the initial layer dried, I went back I filled in the rest or blank areas :) Watercolors were/was/is the main reason I haven't really doodled a lot in July. I got nothing to end this post with so... Yesterday I was thinking (too) hard of what I wanted to doodle. I was envisioning something colorful/rainbow. I tested a little gradient using my Zebra Sarasa Select NJK multi pen. "Holy s***, this could actually work. This could work well with black. Imma test it on DaArk." (Later on, it reminded me of @thingsby_diana ) I started off the rainbow on his tail. Pink on one end + purple on the other. Then orange. Then light blue. Then yellow. Then light green. Using the light green last wasnt that great of an idea, despite how well it turned out. I tried again with the hair + used the yellow last. Much better! Then I noticed there wasnt much blue so I added a little darker blue close to the purple. It's more prominent on his chest :P Sweet! Adding those neon yellow highlights -> *chefs kiss* then the glitter gold made it more spicy XD As I was coloring, I thought to myself: "This could be the 'rainbow revolution' I'd like to see more of, in terms of colorful doodles X3 A new mode, so to speak. I'll call it the 'Rainbow Enigma Mode' or 'R.E.M.'" It's a start. Im bound to change the name or not. I like to keep the words "rainbow enigma" thou :P I like how DaArk is flamboyant + dancing away X3 Theres one or two doodles I still need to go back + (somewhat/sorta) finish b4 I end this doodle notebook. Or I just say f*** it, say its discontinued, + move on? It's rare for me to write down the word "discontinued" bcuz I lost the spark to continue that doodle, taking longer than it should, dont wanna work on it anymore, or wanna do something else. Its usually the last reason XP like rn. (Part 1 of 7) Got some pages saved to show off atm. That, + came to realize how sad I got from little feedback from pencil doodles :( then again, it's for me + want to continue building up my collection of posts X) (still makes me wanna implement color to my pencil sketches in some way but some other time). Anyway, moving on. DaArk's face turned out swell :) when i made the body, something didnt look right. I went over it again with a different color to fix the proportions. *realization* maybe it's the incorrect proportions + not the big head DX although, the head's faster to fix despite how good it often looks XP -> hesitation. Everyone's already seen the Dratica doodle in the corner + the red LP Freak too :P Trance was just studying face proportions a bit. Then I accidentally discovered how well this certain pink + purple went together on his hair. Dratica in the other corner as a filler :P still enjoyed it. "when in doubt, draw Dratica" :) Another Trance doodle but its colorful. Head = yellow Upper body = light green Lower body = light blue Tail = (light) purple Hair -> colored it with a certain pink + added the purple shade like in the previous Trance doodle. Outline = red :) It's a tie between the pose for LP Freak + the colorful Trance doodle. (Part 1 of 4) From what i can remember, i was trying my luck on silhouettes. The witch turned out fantastic. I cannot say the same for the other one next to it :( Dratica's my go-to OC is i'm in the mood to doodle but idk what/who to doodle. The blue one, i remember, felt nice to be loose :) That yellow one was testing a variety of yellow pens i have. I did stop mid-doodle bcuz i didnt have the energy to continue + was animating more at the time. I did finish it but felt forced a few times. I think DaArk in the upper-right was just using up the last bit of black ink :P I'm starting to drift into a nap. I'll upload more later either b4 or after work.
