We'll be dancin' with the shadows in the night The stars are jealous knowing that you’re by my side Feel the adrenaline, acceleration In the course, we’ll be drivin' so rough
The whole campus buzzed like it had just been cast as extras in Magic Mike: College Edition.
Nahee appeared with her basket of brownies, practically vibrating with excitement. You had floated the idea to your theater crew, and, much to your delight, they had all rallied behind it.
“This,” she said, scanning the chaotic crowd, “is the sluttiest thing I’ve ever seen.” She turned to you, her grin devilish. “And I love it.”
The scene was pandemonium. The entire basketball team had ditched their shirts, creating a spectacle that rivaled any reality dating show. Lines formed instantly—three people deep for each boy, regardless of who they were. Men, women, professors who “just happened to be walking by”—no one was immune. A few of the boys even posed for photos, flexing like they were auditioning for a particularly steamy firefighter calendar.
“This has a countdown clock before someone shuts it down,” you said, arms crossed, though you couldn’t stop your lips from twitching.
“Let them try,” Eunji sighed, fanning herself dramatically. “This is art. This is community service. This is visual serotonin.”
“Speaking of the devil…” Nahee tilted her head, gesturing with the slightest nod.
You followed her gaze and immediately wished you hadn’t. Bangchan was front and center, a walking thirst trap without even trying. His arms, all defined muscle and veins, moved in practiced ease as he handed out brownies with that easy smile of his. His shoulders looked like they could carry half the student body, and his wet, glistening torso was proof he either took this way too seriously or knew exactly what he was doing. Either way, the guy was impossible to ignore.
You tilted your head, feigning indifference despite the warmth creeping up your neck. “Guess some people can’t help themselves, huh?”
Nahee smirked, not buying it for a second. “Some people, indeed.”
You hated to admit it, but he was a natural. Flashing easy smiles, throwing in effortless charm, making every girl swoon just enough to dig into their wallets a little faster. All he had on were sweatpants slung low on his hips and his cap turned backward—just unfair, really.
Not that it mattered. You weren’t talking. There was nothing to talk about. And yet, after the kiss, everything had shifted. Bangchan had distanced himself like you were a plague, and for once, he wasn’t even trying to get under your skin.
You stole glances when you thought he wouldn’t notice, hating the way every passing hand seemed to have permission to touch him. He didn’t look at you once. And knowing him, that meant something.
The sun was relentless, making the whole shirtless thing almost justifiable. You, Eunji, Nahee, and Sohee made your rounds across campus, hustling for the theater fund. But let’s be real—nobody cared about the cause.
They wanted six-packs and pretty smiles.
You were so busy pretending not to notice Bangchan’s every move that you almost missed the presence looming beside you.
“Hey,” Mingyu greeted, arms crossed, his signature grin firmly in place. “Got one of those brownies for me?”
“Of course,” you said, grabbing a brownie and passing it to him. He handed you a bill, and the weight of it made you freeze. That wasn’t just a regular bill—it was way too much.
“Uh, I think you might’ve made a mistake…” you started, holding it up.
“No mistake,” he cut in smoothly. “I’m buying the whole basket.”
You blinked. Once. Twice. “I’m sorry, what now?” you glanced at the basket, then back at him. “You want to buy all of them?”
“You heard me.” he shrugged, his tone so casual it bordered on infuriating.
Your brow arched instinctively, your internal lie detector pinging. Still, you weren’t about to complain about a sale this good. Slowly, you held the basket out to him, trying to mask your suspicion with a polite smile.
But Mingyu just shook his head, taking a bite of the brownie in his hand. “Keep it,” he said, licking the corner of his mouth. “I didn’t buy them for the brownies.”
The corner of your mouth twitched, your sass kicking in to override your confusion. “Oh, right. I forgot. They pair perfectly with a little showing off.”
He laughed, leaning in slightly. “Maybe. Or maybe I just wanted a reason to talk to the cutest seller here.”
“You know, flattery works better when you actually take the brownies.”
“I’ve got what I wanted,” he teased, taking another bite.
As much as you wanted to roll your eyes, you couldn’t hide your smirk. A sale was a sale, even if the customer was a little too smooth for his own good.
You stood there, momentarily stunned. Someone had just dropped a ridiculous amount of money on brownies—out of nowhere—and then decided you could keep both the cash and the sweets. Suspicious? Absolutely. But were you going to argue? Not a chance.
With a smug grin, you strolled across the lawn, basket in one hand and Mingyu’s absurdly generous payment in the other. The whole thing felt like an easy win—until a strange heat crawled up your spine, prickling your skin like the sun had suddenly gotten personal.
You turned your head, and there he was. Bangchan. Watching you.
And for the first time all day, he wasn’t smirking. No teasing, no cocky grin—just something sharp in his gaze, something dark curling at the edges.
Bangchan had never been the clingy type. He wasn’t the guy who caught feelings, overanalyzed texts, or lost sleep over someone who didn’t want him back.
Relationships? Fun while they lasted. Breakups? Mutual and drama-free. Ever since college started, he’d embraced the single and thriving lifestyle—no strings, no complications, no mess.
And sure, people talked. About his skills on the court, his grades, his leadership. But mostly, about his other talents. The ones that kept his phone buzzing at ungodly hours, filled with invitations that had nothing to do with basketball.
Bangchan never minded the attention. He never cared—until the only girl he actually wanted looked at him like he was just another name on a list.
Like he was forgettable.
What the hell was he doing wrong? He was a good guy. A loyal friend. A straight-A student. A goddamn basketball prodigy.
So why weren’t you interested? Why were you the only one immune?
He wanted to push, to test your limits, to make you see him the way he saw you. But that wasn’t his style.
He knew when to start and when to stop. And right now? He was dangerously close to crossing that line.
Bangchan wasn’t asking for much. Just a moment—one real, uninterrupted conversation with you. No sharp comebacks, no teasing deflections. Just you, stripped of the armor you wore so well.
But that wasn’t your style, was it? You never made things easy.
It all started when Hyunjin, the group’s reigning drama king, decided to join the theater. Naturally, he demanded a full entourage for moral support, which was how Bangchan ended up in that stuffy auditorium, sitting between Seungmin, Changbin, and Jeongin, watching Hyunjin pour his soul into a song like he was auditioning for Broadway itself.
He was good. Of course, he was good. Velvet-voiced, graceful, with a presence that demanded attention. The second he finished, Bangchan was ready to get up, clap him on the back, and drag him out for celebratory food—
Until you stepped onto the stage.
He didn’t know your name yet. Didn’t know anything about you. But there you were, in knee-high boots and a white dress, angelical, standing under the spotlight like you owned it.
Then, you started to sing. I’ll Be Over You. Soft, rich, and powerful all at once.
And just like that, Bangchan was gone.
He wasn’t used to losing—not in basketball, not in academics, and definitely not when it came to people. So when he finally got close enough to talk to you, he expected… well, something.
Maybe intrigue. Maybe mild annoyance. Fuck, he would’ve taken playful exasperation.
But you? You loathed him.
The realization hit like a punch to the gut. Any hope of friendship, of even standing on neutral ground, went up in flames. You always had a comeback locked and loaded, always deflected, always avoided his gaze like it might set you on fire.
And maybe it would.
Because that sharp tongue of yours? The way you kept him at arm’s length, like he wasn’t worth a second glance? It only made him want to push harder.
So fine. If you were going to make him fight for every inch, he’d play along.
He just needed to know—was this all just a game to you? Or were you just as afraid of losing as he was?
Tumblr media
The bar was buzzing, laughter and conversation mixing with the clink of glasses and the steady thump of music. You were comfortably wedged between Sohee and Eunji, their arms draped around you like you were some rare artifact they had to protect at all costs.
You were tipsy, maybe a little emotional, but mostly just basking in the warmth of the people around you. Tonight wasn’t about stress or overthinking. It was about celebrating a well-earned victory.
"I can't even describe how happy I am, guys," you sighed, raising your glass with a lazy smile. "You are, without a doubt, the best friends a girl could have."
Eunji and Sohee groaned dramatically, tightening their hold on you. "You’re lucky we love you," Eunji grumbled. "And that we’re good at handling your emotional soju phases."
"I mean it," you insisted, half-dramatic, half-serious. "We did it! We have enough to keep the theater running until Mrs. Baek finds a permanent solution."
Your gaze flitted across the table, landing on Seungmin and Hyunjin. "None of this would’ve happened without you."
“We’re a fucking team!” Changbin declared, slamming his hand on the table with the confidence of a man three shots past his limit. "And you know what that means? Another round!"
The table erupted in cheers, and for a moment, everything felt right. Until you felt it. That pull. That heat at the back of your neck, like someone had just flipped a switch.
You knew before you even turned. Bangchan was here.
You refused to acknowledge him. Absolutely not. You were having a great time, and he—well, he was an occupational hazard. A walking, talking disruption to your peace.
"Channie!" Felix called, pulling him further into the group. "Finally decided to show up, huh?"
You still didn’t look. Instead, you took a long sip of your drink and focused on the condensation trailing down your glass, as if it were the most interesting thing in the world.
But Bangchan had never been one to be ignored.
"You didn’t think I'd come?" his voice slid into the conversation so smoothly it sent a shiver down your spine.
You took your time—because if he was going to show up and be smug about it, you could at least make him wait. Finally, you turned, meeting his eyes head-on. "Didn’t think you’d dare."
He smirked, leaning just a little closer, like he was waiting for you to react. You didn’t.
But your pulse? Yeah, that was another story.
Bangchan leaned back in his seat, a lazy smile tugging at his lips as he watched his friends celebrate. He should’ve felt the same rush of excitement, the same weightless joy—but his mind was elsewhere. The relentless pressure of basketball training sat heavy on his chest, and the gnawing anxiety that came with it refused to let go.
And then there was you.
Standing there, effortlessly stunning, laughing like the world had never touched you. Just close enough to see, but never close enough to reach.
When Changbin made his way to the bar for another round, you followed, craving something non-alcoholic to cut through the buzz in your head. He glanced at you as you stepped up beside him.
“Happy?” he asked, arms crossed, an amused glint in his eye.
You grinned, light and unburdened in a way Bangchan hadn’t seen in a while. “Very. Thanks for all the help.”
Changbin shook his head with a smirk. “You should be thanking my boy over there.”
Your brows knitted together as you followed his gaze. Bangchan, mid-laugh, his head thrown back at something Jisung said. Carefree. Unbothered. Completely unaware that your entire world had just tilted on its axis.
“What?”
“He basically forced the team to join the sale,” Changbin said, voice thick with the weight of alcohol and honesty. “Said it was to help a friend.”
Your stomach did something weird—tightened, flipped, something you weren’t prepared for.
The memory hit like a slow-motion replay. Bangchan barged into your dorm, smug as ever, announcing he had dragged the entire basketball team into your little fundraising mess. You had assumed it was for Hyunjin and Seungmin. Maybe even for some ego boost, a reason to flash that damn smirk of his.
But no. A friend.
“Really?”
Changbin snorted. “What? You think he went out selling brownies half-naked just for fun?”
You forced a laugh, but your smile didn’t quite stick. Something about it—about him—felt different now.
Changbin walked off with his four bottles of soju, leaving you behind, still leaning against the counter, replaying his words in your head. It was almost offensive to think of Bangchan as anything other than his usual self—cocky, overconfident, annoyingly self-assured. Your brain outright rejected the idea that he could be good. That he could do something selfless without expecting anything in return.
And yet, here you were, stuck with the uncomfortable realization that maybe, just maybe, he wasn’t the villain you’d made him out to be.
Letting your guard down was one thing. Admitting you’d been wrong? That was the real battle.
You made your way back to the table, feeling just sober enough to regret this night’s life-altering discoveries. Sliding onto the edge of your seat, you watched as Jisung threw himself into a chair, already deep in the throes of drunken confidence.
“I’m feeling karaoke,” he announced, slurring just a little. “Who’s in?”
One by one, the group rose, fueled by alcohol and poor decision-making. Bangchan stood up last, and as he did, your hand found his arm, barely brushing over the smooth leather of his jacket.
“Hey,” you said quietly. “Can we talk?”
He blinked, caught off guard. For a second, he just stared, as if trying to decipher whether this was some kind of elaborate prank. Then, he glanced at the others heading toward the karaoke booth and nodded.
“Later,” he murmured. “That okay?”
You swallowed, suddenly unsure why your heartbeat had decided to play double time.
“Yeah,” you said, too quickly. “That’s… yeah. Sure.”
The night had escalated quickly. One minute, everyone was just vibing at Kooler’s, and the next, you were crammed into a karaoke room, neon lights flashing, Sohee absolutely butchering a ballad while Eunji screamed in horror.
The mic passed around until it somehow ended up in your hands.
“Oh, no,” you said immediately. “I don’t sing in public.”
“Ma’am,” Eunji deadpanned. “You’re in the drama club.”
“Yeah, for acting,” you retorted. “Not for embarrassing myself in front of—”
But then the opening notes of Breaking Free started playing, and the room lost it.
“Oh, you have to sing now,” Changbin cackled.
“We’re literally living a High School Musical moment!” Sohee clapped.
Then, the real nightmare happened. Bangchan grabbed the second mic.
The room erupted.
“TROY AND GABRIELLA, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!” Eunji announced like a sports commentator.
“Nope.” you stood up, but Jisung pushed you back onto the couch.
“You must embrace destiny,” he said solemnly.
Bangchan, ever the performer, smirked at you before dramatically bringing the mic to his lips. “We’re soarin’, flyin’—”
You covered your face with both hands. “Kill me.”
“That’s not the lyrics,” Changbin howled.
The moment Bangchan began to sing, his voice smooth and steady, you felt it—the tiny spark igniting between you, the way his presence pulled you in no matter how hard you tried to resist. His voice wrapped around the lyrics effortlessly, making them sound less like a cheesy high school musical duet and more like something real, something raw.
Then it was your turn.
Bangchan stilled for a moment, eyes widening slightly as you sang your part. He had always known you had a great voice—it was impossible not to, given how much time you spent in the theater club—but hearing you like this, just the two of you, no stage, no rehearsals, just you—it was mesmerizing.
God, you sounded unreal.
His chest tightened at how effortlessly you carried each note, how your voice blended with his in a way that made his skin prickle. You weren’t just singing—you were feeling it, even if you tried to hide behind an indifferent mask. He could see it in the way your body moved slightly to the music, in the way your lips curled at certain lyrics.
And fuck, he felt it too.
As the song picked up, the energy between you both crackled. Your voices melted together in harmony, and the chemistry was undeniable. You tried not to look at him, tried to focus on the screen, but every time you did, Bangchan was already looking at you, that damned smirk still in place.
When the chorus hit, something inside you gave in just a little. The moment was too fun, too infectious, and before you knew it, you were actually enjoying yourself.
You didn’t notice the way Bangchan’s gaze softened.
He saw through you, saw the way you let your guard down, even for just a second. And maybe it was the adrenaline, or the alcohol, or the way your voice wrapped around his in the final harmonized note, but Bangchan couldn’t stop himself from grinning like an idiot as you finished the song.
And that’s when all hell broke loose.
Everyone jumped up like it was the Super Bowl. Eunji was sobbing dramatically into Hyunjin’s shoulder. Changbin was standing on the couch, pointing like an old man watching his grandkids do something historic.
“Troy and Gabriella could never!”
When the song ended, the room was feral.
“That was the single most important moment of my life,” Eunji declared, visibly drunk and happy.
“I think I just saw God,” Felix wheezed.
Meanwhile, you just handed the mic to Eunji, turned to Bangchan, and muttered, “I hate you.”
He leaned in, voice low enough for only you to hear. “Sure you do.”
You’d excused yourself under the guise of needing a breather, but really, you just needed a damn second to exist without someone screaming lyrics in your ear or pulling you into another round of shots. The night was fun, but it was loud, and if you wanted to make it through, you needed a minute to reset.
The balcony was empty, save for the faint scent of nicotine lingering in the air. You took a deep breath, letting the cool breeze settle against your skin, grounding yourself. The city hummed below, distant and detached, and for a second, you just… let yourself be.
Then, before you even opened your eyes, you felt  him.
That ridiculously familiar cologne. The one that had been all over you. On his t-shirt. In your space. In your head.
“Is our rockstar already tapped out?”
You turned just in time to see Bangchan leaning back against the railing, watching you with that look.
“A little.” you waved a hand dismissively, but your small smile gave you away.
His was softer, quieter than usual, but still there. Still undeniably him. And the way his eyes swept over you in the dim light? Yeah. You could feel it. The way he noticed things, details, like he was cataloging every inch of you.
It should’ve annoyed you. But tonight? Tonight, it didn’t.
“Heard you wanted to talk to me.”
You raised a brow, suddenly remembering why you had pulled him aside in the first place. “Right. Think I owe you an apology.”
Bangchan’s expression flickered with surprise. “For what?”
“You know what.”
“Do I?” he leaned in slightly, nodding as if urging you to continue. “You should be clearer.”
You exhaled, hating how hard it was to say it. Vulnerability has never been your strong suit.
“Fine.” you glanced down at your boots, gathering your thoughts. “I know you convinced the basketball team to help with the sale. I assumed the worst about you, and that wasn’t fair. So… I’m sorry. You really helped me.”
Silence.
When you looked up, Bangchan was staring at you like you’d just told him the sky was green. Confused. A little offended. Like that was what you thought needed an apology.
“That’s what you’re apologizing for?”
You blinked, confused. “What else should I apologize for?”
Bangchan let out a dry, humorless laugh, running a hand through his hair before whispering a low, exasperated “fuck you.”
Your eyes narrowed. His arms crossed over his chest, the leather of his jacket tightening around his sleeves as he shifted against the ledge.
“What was that?” you demanded.
“Look, I appreciate the apology, really. But that’s not the thing you should be apologizing for.”
Oh, he was so good at pissing you off. Always had been.
“Then be clearer,” you shot back, arms folding tightly over your chest.
“Alright.” Bangchan turned to you fully, gaze locked in, voice steady. Too steady. “Let’s talk about your habit of coming after me and then bolting the second it gets real.”
Your jaw clenched. “I never—”
“For fuck’s sake, be for real. At the party? In my dorm? I’m not saying I didn’t want it—fuck, I wanted it. But so did you. And then you acted like it was a mistake. You run from things.”
His words landed like a punch to the stomachsharp, direct, impossible to ignore. You blinked hard, fighting the sting behind your eyes, but you had nothing. No witty comeback, no escape route. Just the weight of the truth between you.
Maybe he was right. Maybe you did want this—him. The way he looked at you like he could devour you whole, the way his hands knew exactly where to go, the way your body reacts before your mind could stop it. You wanted it. You wanted him. But wanting didn’t make it easy.
“Why are you mad?”
“Why?” he let out a sharp laugh, shaking his head. “Because it’s fucking frustrating, that’s why. You can’t make up your damn mind.”
You exhaled slowly, trying to steady yourself, but your heart was hammering.
“It’s not that simple,” you muttered, voice quieter now, the anger slipping into something else. “Not for me.”
“Why? Because you hate me?” his lips curled, amused despite himself. “Which, by the way, I’d love to hear all those bullshit reasons why.”
“Is that really what matters?” you lifted your chin, defiant.
“So what, you’ve just decided you’re gonna hate me forever?”
“Maybe I will,” you shot back, voice dripping with venom.
Bangchan smirked, stepping in closer, slow and deliberate, like a predator cornering its prey. He leaned against the railing, his body angled toward yours, closing in just enough to make you breathless. "Hate to break it to you, love," his voice was low, dripping with amusement, "but people don’t usually fuck their enemies."
That voice. That damned voice—soft as silk, smooth as sin, and dangerous enough to make your pulse stutter.
Heat coiled in your stomach, spreading like wildfire, your body betraying you instantly. No. You weren’t going to let him win this.
"You’re right," you said, tilting your chin up, feigning nonchalance. "Which is why it’s never happening again."
A bold-faced lie. One you both saw through immediately. Because no matter how much you tried to ignore it, your mind was already spinning with memories—his hands, his mouth, the way your bodies fit together like a perfect crime.
Bangchan chuckled, dark and knowing. He moved closer, close enough that you could feel his breath graze your lips, your senses drowning in him—the scent of his cologne, the warmth radiating off his skin, the sheer audacity in his gaze.
"That’s a shame," he murmured, eyes flicking to your lips, "because we’ve got insane bed chem."
You swallowed hard. You didn’t know what was doing you in—the teasing rasp of his voice, the heat rolling off his body, the way his muscles flexed under that stupidly fitted jacket, or just him. All of him.
And just like that, your heart slammed against your ribs, your resolve threatening to crumble.
Bangchan lingered, watching—waiting. He wanted to see it happen, the exact moment your carefully built walls cracked. His pulse pounded, anticipation thrumming beneath his skin. But you held firm, clinging desperately to whatever thread of self-control you had left.
His smirk deepened, infuriatingly cocky. "I’m heading out," he murmured, eyes never leaving yours. Then, with a knowing glance, he added, "If you ever change your mind… you know where to find me."
And just like that, he turned on his heel, walking away without so much as a second look, leaving you standing there—heart racing, head spinning, and a heat pooling low in your stomach that you really didn’t want to acknowledge.
Tumblr media
The night stretched on, loud and chaotic, but undeniably fun. By the time the drinks had blurred everyone’s ability to string together a coherent sentence, you decided to call it.
Back at the dorm, Eunji and Sohee barely made it to their rooms before collapsing face-first onto their beds, too drunk to even bother kicking off their shoes.
You wished you could do the same. But no—your mind had other plans.
You tossed. You turned. You put on some soft music, hoping it would lull you into sleep. It didn’t. Instead, every time you closed your eyes, all you saw was him.
The way he leaned in earlier, the heat rolling off him like an invitation. The way his muscles flexed beneath his jacket. The way his voice dropped, teasing, tempting, knowing.
You exhaled sharply, fingers curling into the sheets. It was ridiculous. Annoying. Infuriating.
You rolled onto your side, desperate for a distraction—anything—when your gaze landed on something draped over your study chair.
A black T-shirt. His.
The idea bloomed in your mind just as quickly as the heat spread between your thighs.
Pathetic. That’s what this was. That’s what you were.
Still, you got up, grabbing the shirt in your hands. His scent clung to the fabric—clean, musky, him. Just the faintest trace of it had your stomach twisting, the warmth inside you flickering into something dangerously close to need.
Before you could think better of it, you were pulling a hoodie over your flimsy excuse of a pajama shirt and slipping out the door.
It was past midnight. The campus was practically a ghost town at this hour, which was both a blessing and a curse. No one witnessed this humiliating trek across the quad. No one to stop you, either.
Your steps quickened as you reached his building, as if slowing down would somehow bring back your sanity.
Not happening. Not when your knuckles were already rapping against the door. Not when your breath was unsteady, your chest rising and falling too fast. Not when anticipation was burning through your veins, leaving you lightheaded and restless.
Shuffling sounds came from the other side. The lock clicked.
And then—him.
Bangchan stood in the doorway, his torso bare, sweatpants hanging sinfully low on his hips. His skin gleamed under the dim hallway light, muscles shifting as he leaned against the doorframe.
One look at you—hoodie, messy hair, his damn shirt clenched in your fingers—and something shifted in his expression. His lips parted slightly. His gaze darkened.
He already knew.
Bangchan was deep in sleep when the knocks came. His brows furrowed, his face crumpled with exhaustion as he groggily sat up, running a hand through his messy dark hair.
He hadn't been expecting anyone. But when he swung open the door, there you were. Hoodie slightly oversized, cheeks flushed, eyes dark with something unspoken.
You lifted the black shirt in your hands, your breath still uneven. “You forgot this.”
Bangchan’s gaze dropped to the fabric, then back to you, slow and deliberate.
“That’s all?” his voice was rough with sleep, but there was something sharper beneath it.
You swallowed hard, shaking your head. “No.”
That was all he needed.
The shirt was snatched from your grip and tossed somewhere behind him. His free hand was already at your waist, pulling you inside with a force that had your pulse skyrocketing. The door barely had time to click shut before you were on him. Hands in his hair, lips crashing into his, pouring all your frustration and desperation into the kiss.
Bangchan groaned into your mouth, gripping your hips so tight it sent a shiver down your spine. His skin was warm, solid beneath your touch—broad shoulders, the ridges of muscle beneath your fingertips.
And you wanted all of him.
His hands slid up, fingers teasing along the curve of your spine. Your teeth grazed his lower lip, earning a sharp, guttural sound from the back of his throat.
You barely recognized yourself at this point. There was barely any sanity left in your body, and whatever remained was slipping fast.
Somehow, between hectic kisses and hands wandering like they had a mind of their own, you ended up on the sofa. Bangchan sat with his legs spread, his breath heavy, and you straddled his lap, your hands splayed against his firm chest.
His eyes were dark, hooded, watching you like you were something he wanted to devour.
"Are you sure?" the words left his lips, but your body already knew the answer. Your stomach twisted—not with doubt, but with the unbearable anticipation of what was about to happen.
Bangchan opened his mouth, but you pressed two fingers against his plush lips, cutting him off.
"Shhh," you hissed, your voice edged with frustration. Your hips rolled against him, a slow, deliberate drag that had him sucking in a sharp breath. The way he twitched beneath you sent a wicked thrill through your veins.
"You're driving me insane," you confessed, your nails digging into his skin. "You're in my head. That ridiculous face of yours."
Through the haze of want, Bangchan let out a breathless laugh, slowly biting your finger. "Was that supposed to be a compliment?"
You smirked, dragging your fingers down his jaw. "Shut up. Kiss me."
And he did—like he had been waiting his whole damn life to.
With effortless ease, he shrugged off his sweatshirt, leaving you in nothing but that dangerously thin white tank top—one that did absolutely nothing to hide how your body reacted to him. Bangchan’s jaw tightened, his eyes darkening as he took in the sight. Fucking hell. He wanted to devour you. Every inch. Every sound. Every shiver.
His lips crashed onto yours, rough and demanding, his hand curling around the base of your neck as his tongue teased and tangled with yours. He tasted you like he was trying to memorize every second of it, like he never wanted to stop. The heat of him, the way his fingers dug into your waist, how his breath hitched every time you met his urgency—it was intoxicating.
Then his lips left yours, trailing down your jaw, down your neck, and suddenly, your body wasn’t yours anymore. Your knees went weak, your breath came in ragged little gasps, and before you could stop yourself, a low, broken moan escaped your lips—right against his ear.
Bangchan groaned. That sound. That fucking sound. He was about to lose his goddamn mind. His hands tightened around your hips, his patience thinning by the second as you shifted against him, rolling your hips just enough to make him ache.
That sound. That fucking sound. Bangchan was about to lose his goddamn mind.
“I want it off,” he murmured against your skin, voice thick with need.
His hands twitched against your waist, desperate. He could’ve ripped those pants clean off your body if he wanted to. But you took your sweet, agonizing time peeling them away before settling back onto his lap, now wearing nothing but a flimsy pair of white panties.
He would have torn your pants to shreds right then and there, but you took your time—agonizingly slow as you peeled them away before settling back onto his lap, now clad in nothing but the flimsy white panties that left nothing to his imagination.
And fuck. Bangchan broke.
You looked like a dream, like something too good to be real. Kiss-swollen lips. Hair messy from his hands. Chest rising and falling as you gasped for breath.
You were going to ruin him.
The absence of your pants made you bolder, rolling your hips in slow, teasing waves against his lap. He was already impossibly hard, every grind making it worse—if you kept this up, he was going to lose it before he even got the chance to be inside you. And that was not what he wanted.
But fuck, it felt good. The thick bulge in his sweatpants rubbing against your soaked panties, just barely grazing your clit, sending white-hot sparks shooting through your body. Every movement set off a new wave of heat, of need, of something devastatingly addictive.
“I need to do something,” you whispered against his lips, your breath warm and uneven.
Bangchan still had his eyes closed, savoring every second of this moment, refusing to let it slip away.
“Please.”
Your hands drifted down, fingers ghosting over the outline of his cock through the soft fabric of his sweats, barely touching—but more than enough to make his whole body tense. He gritted his teeth, veins pulsing as your palm pressed just a little harder.
“Fuck…” he rasped, voice hoarse, almost a plea.
You shifted between his legs, fingers toying with the hem of his pants, your nails barely scraping against his skin. His gaze burned into yours, dark with anticipation, completely at your mercy. And when you finally wrapped your hand around him—hot, firm, thick—he let out a shaky, wrecked breath.
A low groan escaped his lips, his head falling back against the couch as you wrapped your hand around him, warmth meeting warmth. The muscles in his abdomen tightened, every nerve in his body set ablaze by your slow, deliberate movements. You weren’t in a hurry—you wanted him to feel this. To lose himself in the way you handled him, the way you made him wait.
"You said I could use my pretty mouth next time," you murmured, feigning innocence, biting your lip just enough to drive him mad.
And then you winked—sweet, angelic, like you weren’t about to completely wreck him.
His breathing stuttered. His hands twitched at his sides, fighting the urge to grab you, to make you do something instead of torturing him like this. “You’re gonna kill me,” he groaned, his voice wrecked, eyes rolling shut as pleasure coiled in his stomach.
You only smiled, satisfied with how easily he was unraveling for you. Leaning in, you ghosted your lips over his, not quite kissing him—just close enough for him to chase after the contact. His body burned under yours, every breath he took shaky, labored.
"Like that, baby" he panted, his voice breaking as he let himself go, surrendering to the moment, to you.
To his torment, you picked up the pace, your touch firm, deliberate. His breath hitched, his body tensing beneath your hand as his head fell back against the couch. The heat between you was unbearable, a wildfire consuming every inch of restraint he had left.
His moans came unchecked, rough and unrestrained, completely at your mercy. He let you guide him, surrendering to every agonizing second—until suddenly, it all stopped. The loss of contact was like a snapped tether, leaving him breathless, on edge, undone.
His chest rose and fell rapidly as he blinked down at you, wide-eyed, dazed. The way you knelt between his legs, watching him with that look—he swore it could drive him insane.
And then, with agonizing slowness, your lips parted. The moment your mouth met his cock, his whole body tensed, a sharp hiss escaping through his teeth. His fingers curled into the couch, muscles drawn tight as you worked him over, your tongue teasing, tormenting, ruining him.
"Look at you," he murmured, smirking like he had the upper hand when, in reality, he was barely holding himself together. "So pretty around my cock" his tongue flicked over his lower lip, his voice rough, almost reverent.
If his goal was to sound composed, he was failing miserably.
You hummed in response, deliberately slow, deliberate in every movement. He cursed under his breath, fingers threading through your hair, not pulling—yet—but holding, like he needed something to keep him grounded.
"If you keep going," his voice was strained now, his thighs tensing beneath your touch, "I—"
You raised an eyebrow. "What, baby?”
His jaw clenched. He was already too far gone to play games, but you weren’t about to make this easy for him.
And then, just as he warned, he shattered. Every muscle in his body locked up, his breath stuttering as he tipped his head back, a curse slipping past his lips like a prayer. You didn’t let up, dragging out every second of his cum until his grip on reality seemed just as unsteady as his grip on you.
His chest rose and fell in uneven breaths, his grip on your hair going slack. You pulled back, wiping the corner of your mouth with the back of your hand, before giving him a slow, knowing smile.
By the end of it, he was completely wrecked—chest heaving, eyes hazy, limbs boneless. His vision blurred at the edges, like his body couldn’t decide whether to collapse or beg for more. He knew you were good. Knew the chemistry between you was dangerous. But the way you looked at him—innocent, yet utterly sinful—while taking him so effortlessly? That was his undoing. You weren’t just ruining him.
And yet, you didn’t stop there.
Without hesitation, you climbed onto his lap, capturing his lips in a kiss so wet, so consuming, it made his head spin all over again. The taste of himself lingered between you, but you never shied away from things like that. Bangchan was great in every way, and if he could make you feel good, you’d damn well return the favor.
"Holy shit, baby," he murmured between kisses, his voice still rough with aftershocks, "you're fucking amazing."
The wicked curve of his lips sent heat straight to your core. He was teasing you, even now, when he could barely string words together.
And God, it only made you want him more.
Every movement between you was deliberate—synchronized, electric, and dripping with consent. Bangchan’s fingers trailed down your trembling thighs, finding the soaked fabric of your panties. He barely touched you, yet a deep shiver ran through him, his cock twitching at the sheer slickness of you.
"Fuck," he muttered, more to himself than to you, voice thick with hunger.
Then, without warning, he pushed the fabric aside and pressed two fingers against your clit, rubbing slow, relentless circles.
Your moan was swallowed into the kiss, tangled between tongues and shallow breaths. He was hard again, pressing against your stomach, his body burning with every second of restraint. Bangchan grabbed the back of your neck, pulling you impossibly closer, his free hand teasing and taunting with no predictable rhythm—just continuous, torturous pressure that sent you spiraling.
"I..." you tried to speak, but the words crumbled in your throat, lost in the haze.
Bangchan's dark eyes locked onto your face, studying every microexpression—the way your lips parted, the way your brows knit together, how every tiny twitch exposed just how undone you were.
Then, as if testing the limits of your sanity, he dragged his fingers lower, slipping two deep inside.
You gasped.
The stretch was sinful. Even his fingers were thick, filling you in a way that had you gripping his shoulders, nails digging into his skin. Bangchan groaned at the feeling, his patience thinning with every squeeze of your walls around him.
And the worst part? He was just getting started.
He sucked on your lip, bit it, then soothed it with a kiss. "How can you be so fucking tight?" his voice was wrecked, nearly a growl, as he felt your walls clench around his fingers, swallowing him with a desperation that made his cock twitch.
Bangchan didn’t slow down. If anything, his pace turned ruthless—deep, fast, relentless. Each thrust of his fingers sent another jolt of pleasure through you, leaving your brain nothing but static. Your body thawed under his touch, a mess of heat and sensation. He pushed your blouse up just enough to bare your breasts, immediately palming them, kneading them as if the sensation alone could ruin him.
"Don’t stop." the demand left your lips between ragged breaths. "Harder."
Bangchan groaned, watching you ride in his lap like a dream he didn’t deserve. "Jesus Christ." his voice was strained, his self-control hanging by a thread. "’Gonna cum all over me, hmm? Is that what you want?"
It was too much. The filthy words, the ruthless rhythm, his fingers buried deep inside you while his cock throbbed against your thigh, still wet from your mouth. Your body was on the edge of something catastrophic.
And then you shattered.
The orgasm slammed into you like a cursive wave, your moan breaking into something raw, something uncontrollable. Bangchan swore under his breath, completely mesmerized. He didn’t stop—kept his fingers buried inside, working you through every pulse, every aftershock.
When your breath finally started to steady, you opened your eyes. And he was watching you.
His gaze was alarming—dark, hungry, completely ruined. As if he had just witnessed the most beautiful thing in the world.
You were both breathless, skin damp with sweat, but it wasn’t just the intensity of what happened—it was everything that had led to it. The frustration, the tension, the unspoken words tangled between your bodies.
Bangchan reached for his black shirt, which had been abandoned on the arm of the couch. "Keep this."
You eyed him, still catching your breath. "Why?"
"To motivate you."
You snorted, rolling your eyes before giving his shoulder a light shove. "You're so full of yourself."
But you still slipped it on, letting the oversized fabric swallow you up, suddenly feeling less exposed—less vulnerable. His hands remained on your thighs, holding you in place on top of him, as if he wasn’t ready to let you go just yet.
Then, casually, he picked up his phone and handed it to you. "Put your number in."
You held the device, raising an eyebrow. "Why? So you can save it as ‘bootycall’?"
His lips curled into a slow, shameless smirk. "Maybe."
"You're terrible." you rolled your eyes but still tapped your number into his phone, handing it back with a smirk. "And a complete pervert."
Bangchan ran his hands up your thighs, his fingers lingering just long enough to make your breath hitch. "For you?" his voice was low, teasing, but there was something deeper in his gaze. "Completely."
The weight of the moment settled between you, thick and lingering. And that was your cue. You stood, reaching for your clothes, shaking off whatever it was that passed between you. Bangchan did the same, though not without watching you with that unreadable look on his face.
"You could stay if you want," he offered, ever so casually.
You scoffed. "It's late, and the girls will notice if I'm missing in the morning."
He nodded, as if he understood—because he did. No one could know.
Once you were dressed, you headed for the door, pausing just long enough to glance over your shoulder.
"So," Bangchan leaned against the couch, arms crossed, his smirk returning. "How about it?"
You blinked. "What?"
"It'll never happen again?" his tone was pure mischief, mocking you.
Your lips curled, mirroring his amusement. "You have my number." you shrugged, stepping into the hallway. "Make good use of it."
And with that, you disappeared down the corridor, leaving Bangchan standing there, an unfamiliar, overwhelming feeling tightening in his chest.
One thing was becoming painfully clear—whatever this was between you, it wasn’t going away. And maybe, just maybe, you were better together than apart.

☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
Laura hated school. She had never gone to school before and she was fine, but after Logan and you had taken her under your wing, you put her in a school for her 'education'.
The only thing she needed to be educated in was survival. She hated sitting in a chair for hours, trying to keep still so she wouldn't get scolded. She hated the dumb questions teachers asked, their dumb faces while they got frustrated that the class didn't understand. And She hated math.
But most of all?
She hated that Logan had to pick her up every damn day. Not because of Logan himself or because she wanted to prove that she could walk home on her own, but because every time Logan stepped foot into the classroom to get her-
that one teacher wouldn’t leave him alone.
Her name was Miss Dover. She was pretty, blonde, and always smiling way too much when Logan arrived. She touched his arm, she laughed at things he didn’t mean to be funny.
And Laura?
Laura wanted to throw her backpack at her face. Or get her claws out, but Logan didn’t allow her
Logan already regretted agreeing to pick Laura up every day after the first time he had done so. Of course not because of Laura, but because of Miss Dover. Today was no different. The second he stepped onto the school grounds, surrounded by students who reminded him of the old times in the mansion, there she was.
“Mr. Howlett!” she called out to him in a too friendly manner, flipping her hair over her shoulder to show off. “Right on time, as always.” she smiled and to Logan, it looked like it hurt. He sighed. Here we go.
He only grunted in response, crossing his arms. Don’t engage. Keep it short. Get out.
Miss Dover, of course, ignored all of that. And she was in no way repelled because of Logans clear lack of interest in her. “You know” she started, biting her lip as she looked up at him, “I think it’s so sweet that you take the time to pick Laura up every day. A lot of dads just send a babysitter. I find that very admirable and...amazing”
Logan barely kept himself from rolling his eyes. “Well, she’s my kid.” he deadpanned. He was supposed to pick her up from school, so he did. It was the bare minimum, no need to make a fuss over something that was so self-evident.
Miss Dover beamed at him even after his discouraging answer. “That’s wonderful! A family man.” Logans eye twitched at that. He needed to get Laura and leave. Now.
Laura watched them from the steps of the school entrance, arms crossed over her chest, her pink glasses sitting on top of her head. She glanced at you, who stood beside her, smirking. Logan had begged you to come when he picked up Laura so he could prove to you how persistent and stubborn that one teacher was when it came to flirting with him.
“Should we save him?” you asked the girl beside you. For the record, you weren't jealous. Why would you be? You knew Logan loved you and didn't have eyes for anyone else, if anything, you were pretty amused by his misery. Laura shrugged at your question. “He deserves it.” you snorted a laugh, she had a point “Yeah, but we need him in one piece."
With a sigh, Laura slung her backpack over her shoulder, slipped down her sunglasses so they covered her eyes and marched towards Logan. Miss Dover was still going on about something, being awfully handsy while Logan was so obviously uncomfortable, when Laura reached them. She grabbed Logans sleeve, pulling at it. “Can we go now?” she asked Logan, paying no mind to her teacher. Miss Dovers eyes softened and she let out a coo “Aww. Looks like someone is eager to get home with Daddy” upon her words, Laura stared at her with an unreadable expression. Then, very clearly, very loudly, she said:
“He is married”
Miss Dover blinked. Logan groaned but was silently relieved. It wasn’t the way he thought Miss Dover would find out, but in the end he was glad. Laura pointed directly at you as you approached from the steps. “To her”
Miss Dovers smile dropped as she followed to where Laura pointed. You, meanwhile, finally stepped closer, grinning. “Hi” you greeted cheerfully with a wave, slipping your arm around Logans “I’m his wife” you confirmed with a nod. And judging by Miss Dovers expression, you knew she thought you didn't fit into the family, that you didn't even look like Lauras mom, that you looked way too young and you were overall not a good match in her opinion. You could tell she was about to gossip over this in the teachers lounge. But you couldn’t care less.
Logan exhaled in relief as he felt you settling beside him. Miss Dover turned red. Out of embarrassment or anger, you couldn't tell. Probably the latter. “Oh, I...I had no idea-" she stammered, averting eyecontact and taking a step back, her hand playing with the fabric of her skirt.
“Yeah” Laura said flatly. “Can we go now?”
Logan didn’t wait to answer her. He turned on his heel and walked away, practically dragging you and Laura with him. The three of you walked to his truck in silence. Logan ran a hand down his face as he threw Lauras backpack into the car. “Finally" he grunted as he sat down behind the steering wheel.
You laughed at him “She really doesn’t get the hint, huh?” you noted. Logan twisted the key, rubbing his temples while he drove out of the parking lot. “I swear, next time-”
“Next time” Laura interrupted from behind “you are sending her to pick me up”
Logan frowned, looking through the rear-view mirror at her “Why?”
Laura buckled her seatbelt “Because then she will know you are taken for real. She probably thinks this was a joke or something"
You laughed at that, leaning against Logan. “She’s right, you know. That woman looked like she wasn’t believing her ears when I said I was your wife. You said she was being persistent, I don’t think she will take this seriously” you chuckled, giving his rugged cheek a kiss. Logan sighed defeated "Yeah, yeah” he answered, putting a hand on your thigh while rounding a corner. “Maybe next time, you pick her up”
You grinned, laying your hand over his. He was a little tense. You knew why. He didn't know if you were jealous, maybe you were a little mad but didn't show it. "I'm not jealous, if you think that. Not at all"
Logan raised an eyebrow. Then he looked at you - really looked at you. At the way you fit so perfectly against him. At the way your eyes sparkled with mischief, teasing him. At the way your hand rested over his, like it belonged there. And when he turned his hand to grasp yours tightly, he was holding his heart in his palm. Yeah. You weren't jealous. Because he was yours. And you were his. And nothing was ever going to change that.
Not even when Laura stood in front of Logan a week later, her arms crossed, staring him down despite him clearly towering over her.
“You have to come”
“No, I don’t.”
“Yes, you do”
Logan sighed, rubbing his temples. They had been at this back and forth game for like 10 minutes now “Why?” he grumbled. “Because it’s career day” Laura answered flatly.
He gave her a look that said he cursed the way she was just as stubborn as him “Yeah? So?” he muttered lowly and shrugged. Laura huffed and rolled her eyes. “So” she said, already looking exhausted over the argument “everyone has to bring a parent to talk about their job”
Laura really wanted him to come. Mostly because she was always the black sheep in her class when it came to telling stories, showing emotions and just simply existing. She was different than the other kids, and after what happened to her, she had every right to be. The others picked on her more often than not and while she wanted to let her claws speak for her, Logan had strictly forbidden it. So all she could do was listen to them. It was draining. She just wanted to be normal for once.
Logan knew that, yet he scowled, picking up a can of beer from the fridge "Tell ‘em I’m dead.” he said between chugging down the bitter liquid.
You were sitting on the couch and as you heard their conversation, you couldn't help but snort.
Laura didn’t blink, unfazed “You have to come.”
Logan glared down at her, hating just how much she was like him. He was about to tell her to fuck off and go to her room, but he sighed “Kid, no one wants to hear me talk about drivin' a damn limo.”
Laura shrugged at that, turning on her heel. “Too bad.” she said. And just like that, Logan lost the argument.
And thats how Logan found himself sitting at the front of the classroom, arms crossed, scowl in full force. You stood at the back with a few other parents, your eyes fixated on him. It was fun, seeing him so annoyed. But it also warmed your heart- he sat next to Laura, sitting way taller than she was, his long legs barely fitting under the table. The two were bickering, poking each other back and forth before Laura leaned her head against his shoulder, his arm around her securely. He was it for you. Yes, you were married, but you'd marry him again in a heartbeat.
There were parents that had already gone before him. Firefighters, doctors, a lawyer. A police man sat down in his seat again after his presentation. And now it was Logans turn.
Great.
With a grunt, he stood up, slightly limping over to the blackboard. He could already feel the judgy stares of the other parents. Laura gave him a small thumbs up, and so did you.
Miss Dover, the teacher yes, that one, smiled at Logan “Alright, Mr. Howlett, why don’t you tell us what you do for a living?” she cheered.
Logan exhaled slowly.
"…I drive a limo.”
Silence.
Some of the kids blinked. A couple of parents exchanged unimpressed glances. Then one kid raised his hand. “Like… for famous people?” the young boy asked, looking a bit intimidated by Logans frown.
“Sometimes.” Logan grunted as an answer. Another kid raised her hand, bolder and more confident than her classmahe “What’s the coolest person you ever drove?”
Logan grimaced at her question, but what was he supposed to do? “A drunk guy who puked in my backseat” he replied, looking at his feet while silence spread through the room again. Miss Dover cleared her throat, the tension in the air was awkward “Oh! well, uhm..does your job have any…exciting parts?” she stuttered out, the eyes of the other parents resting on her as if to ask: why the hell did you allow him to come?
Logan stared at her, the question heavy in the room. Did she really want him to tell a bunch of ten year olds about the times he got into fistfights and gun battles with passengers?
“…Not really” he muttered.
From the back, you smiled. You knew exactly what was happening. Logan wasn’t embarrassed about his job, nor did he care about what these people thought. But he cared about Laura. And right now? He felt bad that her dad was a limo driver while other kids got to brag about firefighters and surgeons and stuff.
Your chest ached.
Because he didn’t get it. Laura didn’t care about any of that, she just wanted her dad.
Miss Dover clapped her hands, her cheeks red in slight embarrassement. “Well, let’s open the floor for more questions!” she welcomed the classroom.
Big mistake.
A mom from the third row, blonde, red lipstick, way too interested, raised her hand “So, Mr. Howlett” she started, smiling too much, “do you work long hours?” she nearly purred. Logan tensed a little, rubbing his beard “…I guess.”
Another mom, brunette, twirling her curls around her fingers in a flirty manner, leaned forward. “Must be tough coming home late all the time. Bet it gets lonely.”
You bit your lip, amused, but also a little sorry for the kids that had to witness their moms shamelessly thirst over another kids dad. Laura rolled her eyes and Logan scowled “I’m not lonely.”
The blonde mom giggled, biting her bottom lip “Yeah, I bet with me you wouldn't be” she purred. Jesus, what as up with these women??
Logans jaw clenched in annoyance. He didn't understand how these women could just full on flirt with him while their children were there. Besides that, he, Laura and you had arrived later than everyone else and he had kissed you before sitting down, surely they noticed that? Apparently not, not even the obvious ring on his finger seemed to catch their attention.
You, meanwhile, just waited. Because any second now-
“He’s married.” Laura deadpanned, her arms crossed, saving him yet again.
The brunette mom blinked “Oh” she mumbed, her face burning red. The blonde mom hesitated. "really..?”
Logan, already done with everything, just pointed at you in the back of the room. Every head turned and in any other situation, this would have you highly uncomfortable. But you just grinned. “Hi Ladies” you greeted them. You walked forward to the blackboard, smiling at the way their jealous stares bore into the back of your head. You could tell the women were fuming over the fact that you bagged such a handsome man, but Logan knew only you could truly appreciate him. "We should try and advertise our marriage" you giggled.
Logan grumbled, wrapping an arm around your waist protectively. You smirked up at him, fixing his loose tie “Maybe you should start to wear a sign.” you teased him even more. He rolled his eyes at you “Shut up" he mumbled, but his grip on you tightened. Because you were his. And he wanted to show that.
You didn't even wait for the other parents to have their turn at presenting their jobs. You just took Laura and went out of there, walking back to Logans truck. “That was hell.” he sighed, letting himself fall behind the wheel with a grunt.
You laughed as you closed your door from the passenger seat, slipping your hand into his “You survived"
“Barely.”
Laura climbed into the truck behind you two, buckling her seatbelt “Next time, I’m bringing her” she said, pointing at you. Logan frowned at that, the engine purring to life “What, so she can brag about…what? Painting? Making fun of me?” he grinned smugly, making you want to wipe that smirk off his face.
You returned the grin “I could have given them a whole presentation on how sexy my husband is.” you hummed, leaning in close to his face, your noses touching. Logan chuckled, the sound rich in his chest "Oh, yeah?” he muttered gravelly, leaning in to give you a deep, wet, noisy kiss.
Laura made a gagging noise.
You pulled back with a laugh and Logan turned towards the road as he started driving, a satisfied smile on his lips. You glanced at Laura in the backseat. “So?” you asked. “Were you embarrassed?
She blinked at your question, her brows furrowed, making her look so much like Logan “What?”
You gestured toward Logan next to you, then looked back at her “That your dad is a limo driver.” you stated simply, matter of factly. Lauras frown deepened, like the question itself was stupid. “No.” she said flatly.
Logan glanced at her through the rear view mirror, his brow cocked. "That right?” he asked her, feeling a soft smile creeping onto his lips. She shrugged, looking out the window. “You pick me up every day. You don’t talk too much. You don’t smell weird. You’re fine.”
Your heart swelled and you aww'ed at the two. "Great review, kid.” Logan huffed, but you knew he was feeling proud inside. Laura pulled a juice box from her bag and for a moment, the car was silent.
“Better than the other dads.”
Logan swore his heart just did a giddy flip “Yeah?” he asked, as if he had just heard her wrong. Your expression was soft as you looked at him, your hands curling around his.
Laura nodded wordlessly. And just like that, Logan realized it didn’t matter what he did for work, what he had done in the past. It didn’t define him entirely. Because Laura?
Laura was just happy he was her dad.

Trick or Treat dude! I'm a dorky, gamer-y, gay college student. Fitting for the season, I'm mainly studying horror movies. As for my candy, I'd have to go with my favorite, Twix.
You always knew what role you’d play if you were in a horror movie. You had watched so many, studied and deconstructed them, both as a hobby and later as a way to practice for your future career as a director. You knew exactly what cliche you filled, with your nerdy habits, your quiet demeanor and your love of horror movies. You were the obvious red herring, the guy everyone in the movie would think is the killer, even though it turns out he’s not.
It wasn’t that you were dangerous or anything, but between your almost obsessive love of horror movies, your tendency to be quiet and antisocial, and how cagey and nervous you got around other people, it was pretty easy to see how an outside observer would mistake you for being a creep. In fact, most people in real life seemed to mistake you for being a creep too. Between all of the traits mentioned before, and being one of the only openly gay students at your fairly homophobic college, everyone treated you like you had the plague. You tried not to let it get to you, tried to ignore the jeers and insults, and most of the time you were able to, but some days it was harder to do so. Today was definitely one of those days, as today was the night of Bill Freeman’s horror movie watch party, and you specifically weren’t invited.
Tumblr media
Looking at Bill Freeman was like looking at yourself through a funhouse mirror. He was a huge horror movie fan too, one who wanted to be a director in the future, just like you. The two of you had most of the same classes together, and had even gone to the same high school. The two of you had quite a lot in common, but it was your differences that were even more staggering. While you were the quiet loner, he was the most popular guy in school, and it was easy to see why. He was handsome, muscular, sociable, and had this effortless charm and confidence that drew people to him. With his classic good looks and cocky confidence, he had always seemed like the kind of guy who would star in a movie, not direct one. The worst part of it all was that he actually knew what he was doing. As much as you loathe to admit it, Bill was a talented director, the few short movies he had directed showing an incredible promise even you couldn’t deny. At first you thought maybe that your shared love of movies could grow into a friendship, but he treated you the same way that all the popular kids did. Which was why you, specifically, weren’t invited to his watch party.
As you grabbed a twix bar you didn’t remember buying from your fridge and plopped down on the couch, you couldn’t help but wonder what it would be like if things were different. If you were different. A part of you couldn’t help but fantasize what life would be like if you were just a little more like Bill Freeman. You absentmindedly took a bite of one of the twix bars, before a bright light filled your vision.
You felt a deep groan escape your lips as you sat up, your head slightly dizzy. What the hell had happened? Had you have too much to drink last night or something? Your eyes drifted over to your alarm clock, only for you to shoot up as you realized what time it was. Crap, you were going to miss your brother's party! You tossed off your sheets and rushed to your closet, revealing your muscular body to the chill air. It wasn’t like you to fall asleep in the middle of the day, but last night was pretty crazy. Between shooting the last scenes for you and your brother's latest short film, the absolutely wild after party, and the two hot wanna-be actresses you had taken to bed, you were a little surprised you had any energy left. Still, your brother had been planning this watch party for weeks, and Ben Freeman never missed out on a party!
Tumblr media
You threw on your costume, and smirked under your mask. Only you and your twin could make a ghostface mask look fucking hot. You swaggered out the door, ready to party, hookup, watch some scary movies, and plan out your next student film with your bro. The Freeman brothers were going to take the horror world by storm!
**Yeah I still have some Halloween tfs to get through, but I'm going to slowly work them over while I continue with my usually stuff. Hope you guys don't mind**

that does make me think tho like. frisk seems to me like he would either call both parents just by their name or call both mom and dad. not pick one and leave the other. hes shown to be more considerate of the residents of xtale in later timelines than chara, whos grown much more disillusioned, hateful, and violent. chara has way fewer problems treating people more poorly because in his mind the end justifies the means and as long as the goal hes working toward is noble (which. it at first is but later twists into something completely different. but i think he still considers it noble and the "best outcome for everyone" and thats ahat matters most to him) any horrible thing he does is completely fine. hes playing on the same battlefield as xgaster, after all, so he has to adopt his same tactics. frisk, though also shown to have grown more hateful and violent and disillusioned, shows a lot more hesitation in using and/or hurting the residents of xtale.
anyway, all that to say that he just doesnt rlly strike me as the type of guy to just exclude one parent, especially if it hurts/saddens them. like i could be completely wrong and hes just got a preference contrasting charas bc siblings, but. idk.
bc chara not calling toriel mom immediately makes me think of timeline III. the timeline right after the one where chara got the father figure he yearned for. it was the first timeline to use underswap as a base instead of the original timeline. in the episode, we see both frisk and chara sitting in toriels lap. frisk is chatting happily with her, but chara looks livid
i wonder if chara refuses to call toriel mom because she hasnt been the mother he knew for so, so long. she doesn't even know it. and swap toriel taking asgores role and some if not all of his personality (depending on the interpretation), it probably felt to chara like she was trying to replace asgore. a shoddy stand in, smiling at him almost in mockery as he has to mourn the death of his father alone because noone except for him, frisk, xgaster, and alphys even know he died. for all the other residents of xtale, that series of events never happened.
toriel asks him whats wrong and he has to fight the urge to snap at her, to yell at her that she knows. she knows and shes mocking him. that shell never be him. that she shouldnt have ever dared to do something like this so close to his death. and he only barely holds that all in because he knows shes not doing this on purpose. she doesnt know what happened. she didnt ask to be remade in someone else's image. she doesn't even know she has been
the whole situation fuels his hatred of xgaster more, because now more than ever he feels like hes being toyed with. first it was just the world. just seeing what changed. and then one of the most precious things to him was taken from him by the very man who promised him the world, a marionette facsimile dangling by strings from the claws chara couldve sworn he didnt always have.
and again, its not toriels fault. but it leaves such a strong impression on him that she forever changes in his eyes. shes no longer the loving mother. shes someone who doesnt belong, someone he doesnt recognize as his own. she changed from who she was when she WAS his mom, all the way back in timelines I and II, and the mother he loved is dead. gone. erased. irreplaceable. and no matter what xtoriel does, chara can never bring himself to call her mom again
and, on the contrary, he latches to asgore hard. because hes also changed, hes not exactly as he remembers him, but hes back. hes alive. hes still asgore and hes still his father and he missed him so much. he doesnt care about the smaller details, nothing matters except the fact that his father is back. that the man who gave him hope and support and company when he felt so crushingly lonely under the weight of losing his world is back, and that means chara isnt alone anymore. hes not hopeless. and he holds to that tiny hope as tight as he can

#i could probably try to analyze why frisk prefers toriel based on like?? associated traits. idfk#i havent slept i just spent like 6 or 7 hrs cleaning my fridge 😭 im exhausted#but god do i love talking abt xtale#this is actually the first time ive really considered how mocking timeline III was. esp to chara#having his father killed and knowing he wont ever come back bc the man who controls his world has decided he must become someone else#and taunted by someone who has been made his replacement without even knowing it. someone who has his mannerisms and his quirks#and his interests but its *not* him and the whole world just feels so completely wrong. everything he knew is gone and yet...#its also right in front of him#and then its all torn away yet again as xgaster overwrites faster than ever#chara doesnt even get an adjustment period or anything. he has not grown to know this world like his own#and he doesn't even get a chance#yknow. during the xevent i doubt chara had much uhh. positive interacion with cross. but.#i wonder if his sneering and teasing and complaining just grinds to a halt sometimes because something cross said sounds so much like his#(charas) life. he will never admit it#but he sees a bit of himself in cross. or a lot of himself actually. theyre pretty similar in several ways#and though he would usually be quick to make fun of cross mo matter what he says#he just cant help but remember the anger and the despair and the fear that gripped him back then and he just.#lets cross be for a while. he has no words to offer. not that hed know how even if he did. he cant offer much in terms of physical comfort#not that he ever would#but he recognizes that pain and for a brief moment remembers who the enemy is and what hes fighting for#what awaits him if he wins. why he HAS TO win#and for a second he remembers wishing for someone who could take away his suffering even temporarily#and in a quet and solemn moment he just. lets cross weep over the world forever gone#and pretends he himself isnt thinking of a home he year s for just as bad#anyway i almsot passed out like six times wroting this. im genuinely starting to see shit lmao#hopefully the tags wont get deleted.....#finking#rebog

A casual date ft. Gojo Satoru
Tumblr media
The first time Gojo Satoru walked into the café you work at, you didn’t think much of him.
Sure, he was tall. And ridiculously good-looking. And way too confident for someone ordering the sweetest, most sugar-loaded drink on the menu.
But beyond that? He was just another customer.
Then he kept coming back.
Every few days, like clockwork, he strolled in—always in dark sunglasses, always with that smug grin, always ordering something absurdly sweet. At first, you thought he just really liked the drinks. But then you started noticing things.
Like how he always showed up when your shift started.
Or how he lingered at the counter, trying to make conversation with you when the café was empty.
Or how he never seemed in a rush to leave, even when he had his order in hand.
“You know, for someone who supposedly has the most important “secret” job ever, you have way too much free time,” you remarked one evening, sliding his usual drink across the counter.
Gojo grinned, tapping the side of his cup. “You don’t know that. Maybe I’m incredibly busy, but I make time for the things that matter.”
“Right, and that ‘thing’ just happens to be overpriced matcha lattes full of whipped cream?”
“Exactly,” he said with a wink.
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t hold back a small smile.
Gojo watched you for a beat, then suddenly said, “Hey, you free tonight?”
You paused and turned back to him, narrowing your eyes at him. “Why?”
“Wow, so suspicious! If you’re free, lets go out.” he said.
Your brows furrowed in confusion and said, “Wait. Are you asking me on a date?”
Gojo smirked, not even missing a beat. “I mean, can’t I ask my favorite barista out on a date?”
You raised an eyebrow. “I’m your only barista here. You literally ignore everyone else who tries to take your order.”
“That’s because they don’t make my drinks with the same love,” he said, smirking.
You gave him a flat look. “Love? Babe, I don’t even know you that well.”
“Tragic. But I can change that. One date. Just humor me.”
You sighed, staring at him for a long moment. “Fine. But only because I’m tired of you hitting on me at my work.”
Gojo beamed, grabbing his drink. “Oh, this is gonna be so fun. I know just the place. Meet me after your shift.”
—————————————————————————
You should’ve known Gojo’s idea of “just the place” wouldn’t be a normal restaurant.
Instead, he took you to a quiet little food stall in an alleyway—a small, cozy spot lit by dim lanterns, with rickety stools and the scent of freshly grilled food filling the air.
Honestly? You kind of loved it.
“Didn’t expect this, huh?” Gojo grinned as he plopped down across from you.
“Not at all. I thought you’d drag me somewhere flashy.”
“Please. That’d be too predictable,” he said, leaning back. “Besides, Yakitori here’s amazing.”
And he wasn’t wrong.
The two of you ordered a ridiculous amount of food, and Gojo—unsurprisingly—had zero shame about eating half of it in record time.
“You eat like you’re in a competition,” you remarked, watching as he popped another skewer into his mouth.
He grinned. “What! can’t handle a guy with a big appetite?”
You smirked. “I can handle a lot of things.”
Gojo paused, then let out a low whistle. “Oh? Now that’s interesting.”
You rolled your eyes. “You know, I don’t think you actually care about dating.”
Gojo blinked, then tilted his head, amusement flickering in his expression. “What makes you say that?”
“You’re good at this. Too good. But I don’t think you’re actually trying.”
For a second—just a second—the teasing glint in his eyes dimmed.
Then, he laughed, shaking his head. “Ouch. And here I thought I was being charming.”
“You are charming,” you admitted, meeting his gaze. “But I don’t think you let people get too close to you.”
Gojo exhaled dramatically, resting his chin on one hand. “And here I thought this was a date, not a therapy session.”
You didn’t say anything. Just waited. And maybe that was what caught him off guard.
Because for the first time all night, his smile wasn’t cocky. It wasn’t teasing. It wasn’t the usual performance he put on for the world.
It was just there. Small, thoughtful. And real.
“You might be more fun than I expected,” he said, eyes glinting with something unreadable.
You chuckled and said, “I’m a complete package if you just removed your sunglasses and looked a little bit closer.”
Gojo smirked and said, “Careful, or I might actually start liking you.”
You smirked. “You say that like you haven’t already.”
Gojo chuckled, “Damn. You are good.”
And for the first time in a while you felt like it has been a nice date night.

Ben’s Big BL Blurb 5: Let’s Talk About Sex
I was mostly planning to check in again after the current Japanese shows ended, but after three out of four sex scenes left me wanting this week, I want to write down my ideas. I maintain that bed scenes, like action scenes, need to tell us more about the characters. Many sex scenes serve as a release of tension or confirmation of existing feelings. As usual, MAME seems to understand this, and others should probably take notes.
Call Me By No Name is Doing Nothing For Me (5/8)
Tumblr media
I have just about given up on this show. I don’t get Megumi’s whole deal, why she’s so in love with Kohata, or Kohata’s reticence. I was really hoping that an intimate scene would open up some space for vulnerability and truth with them to give us some answers about why these two weirdos are drawn to each other, but that’s not what we got. I was hoping that when we saw these two go at it we’d learn how much Megumi has felt for women before, or how she responded to Kohata’s experience. Instead, I’m left feeling cold by the whole affair, and generally baffled by the conflicting themes around going somewhere she did cutesy girl nights before, and ordering the cute food. This one is a chop.
Impression of Youth is Wasting My Time (5/9)
Tumblr media
I have my own squicks as a former teacher with stories where a teacher messes around with their student. However, I don’t see the point of doing a teacher-student story if we’re not going to explore any of the lines being crossed here. We also didn’t get a good arc about the student helping the teacher properly reconnect with a feeling, or discover something, that helped him get back to his art. We simply had him start painting on the beach again, the kid confessed, and then they fucked with awkward kissing. I was a bit let down by the brother’s fast encouragement of the whole thing. It felt like they were reaching for the same energy we had in Call Me By Your Name (2017) with Oliver and Elio, but it’s missing the component where Oliver knew what he was doing the whole time for me. The overall alignment feels off, and I’m getting so little emotion from this show as a result. On top of all that, they showed us the kid’s boxers before implying he was nude in the shower! Ridiculous!
When It Rains It Pours is Being Shy About Sex in a Show About Cheating (5/7)
Tumblr media
This is the biggest offender of the week for me. This show is all about how the leads cannot have sex from the people they love, and find someone they can commiserate with in each other. When the dam finally breaks and they both need the release in each other, I was so dismayed that the show tried to gloss over as much of the sex as possible. It’s so fucking annoying for me when the shows about sex get precious about it and won’t show it. I was thankful that they tried to capture all the emotions happening around the weekend they spent together, but I think we lost a lot in not having Hagiwara blow Sei, because you just know that man has a people pleasing streak that would require him to give pleasure back. The lack of sex also means that there is no gap time between the infidelity and the discovery. We don’t give enough time for the shift in their relationship to breathe before the crisis (@respectthepetty). I’ve lamented before about Japanese shows only showing toxic or breakup sex, and so it’s damned annoying that they’re doing that in the cheating show because they probably want these guys to be together by the end. I was really hoping Mood Indigo would have some company finally (especially after Love in the Air Koi), but I clearly need to stay patient. Cannot overstate how lame it is for the show about two guys cheating because their partners won’t fuck them being shy about the sex effectively sides with the partners who won’t fuck them. Finally, I am not over them getting the insertion angle wrong while making points about it!!
Your Sky Could Have Been A Good Follow-Up on 2gether
Tumblr media
I’ve been sitting on this one for a bit because I don’t know what I want to say about this one. I was really into it in the beginning, but it felt like this show didn’t really know what it wanted to do after resolving the issues with Oh. I personally liked the dad being confronted by his wife and father about the way his homophobia was hurting his son, but I didn’t really enjoy it as a Very Special Episode. I would have also liked to see Teerak’s newfound assertiveness in this period beyond is refusal to cave. I think this show also deeply underutilized its own supporting characters, especially the side couples. Still, I thought Thomas was probably the most beautiful newest BL boy we’ve gotten, and I liked the way he and Kong worked together. I also really enjoyed Teerak being allowed to want sex, ask for it, and take charge of it. That’s so important for a cute character. Letting us know that Teerak has also become protective of the private moments he has with Fah, and is growing into his desire for Fah really is a great way to finish a show.
Tumblr media
Final Verdict: 7, Recommended With Reservations. I find it hard to give this a stronger recommendation. I just think the show ends up being overall inessential from how much of it ends up being fluff that doesn’t connect much to each other. The biggest things I liked were Fah and Teerak, especially in the early episodes, and I liked the family dynamics. Still, I feel like this show didn’t know what to do without Tine’s internalized homophobia, and what to do with Fah’s ex that was mentioned. There’s just too much hanging off this to recommend it as a strong drama. Everyone is very pretty, and the performances are earnest. It’s a show that means well, even if it’s a bit indulgent.
The Boy Next World Understands that Phu Has a Dick (5/10)
Tumblr media
MAME, as usual, understands the assignment. There’s no way that their first encounter is going to be Cir showing up to stick is dick in Phu’s ass. He’s been obsessed with this boy for years in a way that prioritizes Phu’s wellbeing. It was absolutely correct to payoff that Cir keeps making Phu hard by having Cir take care of him, let us see that Phu enjoyed it. Like @babyangelsky I think it’s important that we let go of the notion that cute characters cannot want and enjoy sex. We got so much from this. We know that Cir likes to give pleasure, and that he’s not going to ask for it from Phu. We also know that Phu cares about Cir, too, because he asked about his time in the bathroom (Cir clearly jerked off and rinsed his mouth, y’all). What’s so excellent about putting a sex scene at this point is it means we’ll see their sex change after Phu learns that Cir has been stalking him for years. MAME is consistently the best storyteller at using the kisses and sex to help inform the arc of the relationship. Most importantly, she gets what the angles are supposed to be.
Ossan’s Love Thailand Is…Fine (5/12)
Tumblr media
I’m not really into this one much right now, despite what I think is a pretty solid performance from Krit Shahkrit. I understand the choice to go back to making Kongdech a widower, but I don’t think giving him a daughter who initially opposed the romance added much to this for me. I’m hoping activating Thor’s character next week will add some energy to this for me, because I’m feeling a bit flat with it at this point. I’m glad they’re letting Earth and Mix continue to play adult characters, but it doesn’t feel like they knew what they wanted to do with office romance dynamics here.
Gelboys is a Welcome Return from Boss Kuno (1/7)
Tumblr media
Started this today and I am seated. I really love how much it feels like we get to actually be inside of Bangkok. I love that we opened with an ad for the Bangkok rail system as a mechanism for freedom. I love how filming on iphones has enhanced the naturalistic feeling of the production. I also love how we completed the major arc of the het angst of Make It Right in the first like five minutes. Incredible stuff. I’m so excited to see the mess Fou4Mod is going to make of everything, and I’m excited to see Chian dickmatize that boy. Curious to see how much this feels like a bubble show. Shout out to Boss for showing us a naked teen at the start of this show to scare off the pearl clutchers.
RED BLUE is EVERYTHING (6/8)
Tumblr media
This is not BL, but it’s got enough BL boys rolling on the floor and sweating on top of each other that I’m saying here loudly that I LOVE IT. Kimura Keito is fantastic in this, and I loved his fight with Okura Takato in episode 6. I almost didn’t recognize my boy from his role as Amane in If It’s With You with the change in his hair. I did not know I needed a wrestling show with BL boys…who am I kidding? We’ve been asking for this every year. This is hitting all the notes I want from a sports shonen show. It’s fantastic.
Please Use the Sex Well in Romance
Tumblr media
I think there’s a real place for clean romance in the BL genre. Some of our favorites don’t involve sex being a major component of their romance narrative, but that often requires significantly more drama and better storytelling and plots. What I cannot abide is when I find myself bargaining about how a show that wants to talk about sex every episode seemingly doesn’t want to deal with sex. Romances about sex that don’t use the sex well in their stories are as bad as comedies with terrible jokes, or action flicks with no suspense and satisfying fight sequences.
Tumblr media
Other than that, I dropped I'll Turn Back This Time. It’s just too stupid and incoherent for me to put up with it’s nonsense. Seeya next time.

contents; angsty, hurt/comfort
modern au! sanji whose voice is smooth as silk and clear as a bell as he calls you on what happens to be one of the worst days of your life. reluctantly you keep the conversation going, battling the urge to burst into tears at the familiarity—the awkward rustle of his clothes, the low quiver coming from his throat as he tries to check on you. but he knows you well enough to figure you're not sounding like your usual self; no matter how many times you will assure him of the opposite. he hangs up shortly. the room is quiet again.
when you hear the first knock at your door you are already sunk into your sheets. you hope they will go away, but they don't. there's a sigh. a beat later you're watching yourself reaching for the peephole, dishevelled in bathrobe and sweatpants. this is when your breathing stops. the door almost unlocks by itself, and sanji comes in, blue polo shirt, black jeans, two paper bags in his hands. he flicks the unlit cigarette from one corner of his mouth to another, “evening flower, can you please show me to the kitchen?”
Tumblr media
plunge into his arms or shove him away; you’re too shocked to do either. “isn’t it a bit too late to have dinner?” you ask as you help him set the groceries he’s brought on the counter. it’s almost midnight. with his foot sanji pushes past a bundle of bags from the takeout food you've had for the last couple of days. “everybody needs their nutrients. and you need them. even if it’s for the smile i love so much to see,” he says, scanning the room for the stuff he needs—a lot has changed since the last time he was here. you recognise the tone—this type of cheesiness used to annoy you. soon after, there’s water droning, dishes propelling themselves against each other, and the sink is clear.
you clutch at his shirt.
“thank you, sanji,” the words come out slow. “you’re always so kind.” not cheesy, not pathetic. but kind. sanji places a hand on top of yours—warm, slightly trembling. a tinge of pink crosses his cheeks and nose. “some habits are hard to break,” he says. “like coming over for dinner.” some small part left of your old self wants to slap him. to bite, to spit, to be a hurricane. but you’ve grown, you’re sharper now. “you know you and your wife are always welcome here.”
sanji heaves a laugh; it’s forced, broken, and it makes you feel a little nauseous. “wife,” he mutters, more to himself than to you, reaching for knife and chopping board. “there sure is a lot of catching up to do.” you stand here, looking at him, too tired to piece the words together and too dizzy to move a finger. your heart is full and your shoulders taut and your head empty of anything but a sound you can admit you missed.
smooth as silk, clear as a bell.

Logan and fluffy things I like to imagine with him. Part 2: electric boogaloo
Tumblr media
logan has a soft spot for animals. He wont go absolutely out of his way i think to interact with them, but definitely has a mutual respect for them.
that being said, going for a walk with Logan, and a stray kitten comes up and absolutely WILL NOT leave logan alone. It adores him, screaming and climbing his pants. You of course insist on taking it home and logan grumbles over it but doesnt argue
cue all the moments of "dad who didnt want animal in first place" with logan as he treats it like his literally baby. Its young and still needs milk, and lots of tlc.
you wake up to him missing from bed one night, crawling out in search of him and finding him in the kitchen- babytalking and cooing the little itty bity baby kitten hes holding in his arm (imagine. Tiny kitten. Logans beefy arms. 😍) and bottle feeding it.
he gets so embarrassed when you catch him.
making him laugh. Like really. He's so stoic sometimes. hes sarcastic and has a smart mouth and really funny himself but not much gets him going
but you tell him a joke . or maybe a funny story of something that happened to you, or a funny limerick whatever okay
and he LAUGHS
its the first time you ever heard him laugh, probably the first time you ever made him laugh that wasn't a small chuckle (say you're still new to each other)
His laugh is just so warm and boisterous. It's a real peek into the kind of person Logan can be if he's in the right enviornment
that big cute smile, his low voice. that loud laugh. I mean honestly
making him laugh so hard he's crying and its uncontrollable
thats right baby girl
anyway
Logan loves listening to your heartbeat
lies on your chest and listens to it beat away. it's grounding to him, a reminder you're still here with him
Either with the X-men, or with Wades gang, Logan slowly opening up and becoming more comfortable with people- purely because YOU'RE there.
your presence reassures him so much
feeding each other
its natural too. You're just at breakfast, lunch, or dinner. you take a fork of your food, or maybe your french fries, or whatever and immediately hold it up to his mouth and he just eats it without question
Feeding him fruits, or chocolates, or a charcuterie spread AH *sigh*
Leading to having a picnic with him. He's a little unsure at first. I think depending on the logan you're picturing, or at least when you meet him, he may have points where he gets shy about dates and stuff
a picnic is one of those things. planning food and a blanket and all and it really does sound nice to him. Too nice. It feels unnatural to him and he doesn't know how to behave, maybe he doesn't think he deserves to do something so...domestic, and soft
you of course argue that "yes logan, you deserve to do picnics too."
Once you actually get him out though, he'll eventually relax, lying on the blanket, on a nice breezy yet sunny day under a large tree, arms crossed behind his head as you feed him grapes and strawberries and blueberries
"Yeah, okay, I could get use to this"
planning other dates with logan. for awhile it's something you take initiative of. But then Logan surprises you. He got you tickets to see a broadway show you've been talking about for months.
since then logan starts pulling his weight with planning dates. he always enjoyed the dates esp in the beginning. he just wasn't used to it, used to meaninglyess flings and lonelines. Sitting and trying to get to know each other was hard for logan bc he struggled opening up
for you tho he does
in a setting with the x-men, they all are amazed how easily logan trusts you. Even as just friends.
you do whatever to him and he just accepts it. He doesn't flinch. or scoff. or tell you to fuck off (sorry Scott. i know you were just asking for the salt). He'll give you his witty and sarcastic remarks but they tend to be a lot nicer and sweeter
he looks at you with a softness they're all confused by
well except jean and charles, they both see what's going on in his head. it's sweet actually
ororo actually picks up on it pretty quickly too
Scotts the one who's just confused but prob bc he gets the most abuse
sorry again scott
okay, not really a logan fluff relationship but honestly logan and scott becoming semi friends? I feel like hard feelings and annoyances aside, they could really get along. I don't know much about Scotts character but i feel like they're both men who can be great leaders and genuinely care about their people. Logan and Scott putting aside differences and going out for a guys night at a bar. Maybe some other X-men join to, but Scott and Logan talk a lot
Meanwhile you, Jean, Ororo, and a few other girls have a girls night
Logan opening up to Scott about how he feels about you (you're still friends at this point), he doesn't outright say that he's scared to make a move, mainly because he's scared of hurting you in more ways than one
Scott gives him a pep talk, male bonding. of course they end the night insulting each other but on the bright note they seem to come to an understanding
Logan is a very attentive boyfriend. He may act aloof sometimes but he notices EVERYTHING. Don't be surprised that your birthday and christmas gifts are always exactly the things you wanted even if you hadn't told anyone you wanted them.
You're teaching a class and logan stops by to give you something. He gives you a kiss in front of the class without thinking, and they're all "Oooooo"ing and "Aaaw"ing over it. Logan tells them to grow up, (They're 5th graders logan)
imagine shopping together, and logan picks out clothes he thinks would be cute on you. He finds a pretty sundress and practically demands you to get it. Of course you do. He ADORES you in that sundress. His hands are never off you when you wear it
It awakens something in him and he starts buying you pretty clothes he wants to see you in. He knows your size by heart, he knows what materials you like and what you hate, and the colors you despise on you (even tho he thinks you look good in everything)
Kissing each space of his hands where the claws come out. It's a gesture of love and trust. Logans scared of you doing it, afraid he'd somehow lose control but you reassure him. Now he loves it, and it truly makes him think that maybe he isn't such a monster if you could love him like that
You do his laundry for him. It's not like he asked you or that he doesn't keep the laundry up himself, you just do it, acts of service being your love language and he comes home and finds you did it and hes kinda shook because like...wow? being taken care of? it was so simply. its just laundry. But damn
Speaking of, doing laundry together.
I want to do laundry with Worst! Logan, we go to some 24 hour laundromat. maybe just neighbors but you've been flirting with each other, and consider each other good friends, the implication of something more. You're laughing and you guys have the place to yourselves. Logan feels safer than he has in a long time with you. Maybe share your first kiss, at 1 am in the laundromat.
I like to think about late nights in your study with Trilogy Logan, he hangs out with you, he already has trouble sleeping, and just loves your sweet company. Your conversations turn deep, maybe you had a recent mission that turned rough, and it literally turns into a love confession by Logan. You return the feelings, and he asks "Are you sure about me?", and you respond to him with an eager kiss, your arms embracing each other in the way those old romantic movies when they kiss (I use to be so grossed out by those and now I would love nothing more *dreamy sigh*)
I want to comfort Old Man Logan, maybe he had a really bad day, and disappears. You get Caliban to watch Charles for the night while you search for him, and you find him at a bar he usually frequents. Hes gruff but polite and tells you to go home and go to bed, but you urge him to come back with you. Eventually you get him to agree to at least come walk with you down the streets. He doesn't know how, but you draw out of him his worries, his fears - and they mainly revolve around you, this sweet little thing who came into this fucked up life of his. You reassure him that you wouldn't want to be anywhere else, and you end up kissing him. He's shocked you like an old man like him, but...he'll take what he can get.
I want to be 70s DOFP Logan friend first, hes a menace, and he has fallen hopelessly in love with you. Much to your obliviousness, you think he's still a Casanova out in the bars- but hes spending his nights thinking about you. One night he has enough, and rides on his motorcycle down in the pouring rain and thunderstorm. He's at your doorstep and you open the door to this sopping wet creature and the first thing he says "I'm in love with you." with water dripping down his face. Then he pulls you into a searing kiss. (im writing a fic about this btw)
With Future DOFP Logan, he would meet you, a new professor at the school, and he's quickly taken aback. After some quite hellish adventures he's been on, you were a fresh breath of air for him. You both fall into something of relationship without realizing it- because it came so naturally. It's only one day you're talking to him, outside on the patio and he's smiling softly listening to you and he leans forward and pecks you on the lips. you look at him in surprise, before grabbing his shirt and pulling him in for a real kiss
Origins! Logan takes you out on a romantic date, because he's classy like that. you share your first kiss over dinner, something sweet, and you could feel him smiling against your lips. He does it again after dinner, when he takes you home like a gentleman, you can feel his eagerness when he kisses you again, like he's trying to control himself, and he finally pulls away and wishes you goodnight (i mean, you're gonna have to invite him in)
97' Logan! He's giving you a pep talk after some bad shit went down on a mission, you feel like you could've done better, could've done more, even if everything you did do was enough. He's being unusually sweet and supportive and you leaned over and kissed him. You're surprised at yourself, but Logan isn't. He chuckles, telling you he gets it, he's irresistable, but then he kisses you again and can't stop (whos the irresistable one NOW Logan??)
I didn't mean for those to turn into first kisses prompts but enjoy. I have so many ideas of how first kisses with logan could go, these are just a few of many
pecking his cheek and his beard scratching your lips, but you actually really like how it feels
him rubbing and scratching his beard all over you to mess with you. It tickles but he's pinning you down and you're shrieking.
He keeps a picture of you on him at all times.
he loves hearing your stories. he wants to listen to you yap. he loves when you yap. even if it's useless stuff, the way you seem to enjoy and live life the way he never had before, he just can't get enough
helping him with his suit, you're zipping him up, but you press several kisses up his spine as you are zipping him. your lips sends shivers through him
helping him with a fancy suit. like suit and tie, (this would be cute for old man logan!). he's grumping and frumping about wearing it, but then you tell him how handsome he looks, and he smiles, and suddenly he's not so grumpy about it.
logan pressing soft kisses all over your face. bonus if it's after he hadn't seen you for awhile
okay but imagine after yall been together for awhile, maybe talking about getting a house together...
you guys "just look"
logan doesn't like anything. So he convinces charles to give him some land and goes and secretly builds a house for you. he recruits help from some others. he hires a designer to be able to get the parts he noticed you liked
you have NO idea. A year later, maybe 2, he brings you to it, and you're like "When did this house get here" and he tells you everything
logan definitely doesn't think things are "too much" when it comes to his devotion to you lets just say.
These are all i got for now! Keep an eye out for pt 3 :)

@bucktommyfluffebruary Day 8: Surprise
Another of my prompts from last year that fit.
*****
Rated T | 2,430 | tw: homophobic slur
Buck knew that Tommy loved a romcom. He liked lots of genres of movies, and all for different reasons. But romcoms he loved because of the fantasy of them. He’d told Buck once that growing up with a father like his, and then spending the majority of his adult years firmly tucked away in the closet, that he’d wholeheartedly believed that a true love or romance was not in his own future. That living vicariously through two people on screen, even if they were straight, was the closest thing he’d get to a happy ending.
He’d very much changed his mind since he’d met his Evan, but still Buck had been determined to give him all the romantic moments he’d missed out on over his life.
It started with surprising Tommy with a candle lit dinner ready when he came home from work.. Which ended with Buck being bent over the table as dessert. Not quite the emotional response he was going for, but hey who was he to say no to that!
Tommy mentioned once a book he loved as kid and Buck spent three weeks hunting down a first edition. He was certainly blown away by Bucks thoughtfulness and showed him immediately by getting on his knees. Again Buck was happy to oblige—he always was—but it still wasn’t the response he was truly hoping for.
He wanted to sweep Tommy entirely off his feet. Woo him to the point of breathlessness. Make him feel so unbelievably cherished and loved that he forgets out to speak.
And then the idea hit him.
Oddly, while watching Carrie.
“Man, the worst thing that happened at our senior prom was Mikey Jacobs spiking the punch. I still can’t drink Jack Daniels” Buck reminisced.
“Better than pigs blood, babe. Or, you know, the revenge by telekinesis.”
“True. What about you? What was yours like?”
Tommy sighed. “I, uh, didn’t go to mine.”
“Really?” Buck looked at him in surprise. “I mean granted you were secretly gay, but I know the girls would have been killing each other to get the Tommy Kinard to take them to prom.” The idea seemed to bring such joy to his Evans face that Tommy almost didn’t want to admit the reality.
“I appreciate the support, babe, but I wasn’t exactly drowning in dates with girls.” He laughed “I was 6’2” by the time I was 15 but I didn’t know how to build muscle or even eat right for my body’s needs. I went from 5’8” and over weight to 6’2” and skinny, which my dad just loved to point out constantly. I was super insecure and had zero confidence to ask a a girl out.” A look of sadness flickered across his face.
“Did people not go stag at your school?”
Tommy huffed a cold laugh. “Only fags and virgins go stag to a prom, Thomas.” He mimicked his father’s voice. Buck gently rubbed Tommys arm.
“I’m sorry you had to hear shit like that from your dad. You deserved so much better than that.”
“I know that now and mostly because of you.” He pressed a chaste kiss to Bucks lips and smiled.
“Good.” He smiled back, already formulating his next plan to woo the shit out of his boyfriend.
This one took a few weeks of planning but Buck was certain it would knock Tommys socks off.
****
Tommy was surprised that Lucy had suddenly turned up at Harbour on what was supposed to be her day off. Even more surprised when she offered, nay insisted that she take Tommys remaining 24 hours of his 48 hours shift.
In the end their Captain had to practically shove him out of the harbour doors to get him out. He eventually relented and left for home.
Approaching their front door he noticed a note in handwriting so bad it had to be Bucks. God did he love him but the man’s penmanship looked like a doctor’s. A drunk doctor’s. Wearing a plaster cast. Thankfully after almost a year together he’d learned how to decipher Evans scribbles.
“Go straight upstairs.
Shower and get dressed..”
“Huh?”
“Don’t “huh” me, Kinard. Just do it. Then meet me in the dining room.
P.s: love you, Your Evan.”
Tommy chuckled to himself but did as he was asked and walked straight up the stairs to their bedroom. He was surprised, and confused, to see his tux freshly pressed and laid out on their bed.
After showering and dressing he made his way back down found himself knocking on his own dining room door for permission to enter.
“Come in.” Evans voice called from inside.
Tommy opened the door his mouth and eyes opened wide at what he saw.
The table had been pushed to the side wall, with a black cloth draped over the top, atop of which was a punch bowl filled with an orangey pink liquid. Surrounding it was lots of bowls filled with candy and chips and other kids favourite snacks.
A shiny disco ball hung from the ceiling with paper decorations swinging from the Center of the room and up to the corners. Twinkling lights hung all around giving the room a gorgeous warm glow.
And standing in the centre of the dining room, under the disco ball, in a tux that fit him so incredibly perfectly was the most beautiful man Tommy had ever seen.
“What’s.. what’s going on?” Tommy asked not being able to hide his smile.
Evan took a few steps toward him and held out his hand. “Thomas Kinard. Will you go to prom with me?” Every time Tommy thinks he can’t fall in love with Evan any more, he’s proven wrong.
For the next two hours they do nothing but dance like idiots, drink spiked punch (tequila instead of Jack Daniel’s this time - buck would actually like to remember this prom), and snack on junk food.
Tommy couldn’t remember the last time he had let loose like this. Or even smiled this hard. Evan was by far the greatest joy to ever come into his life. He reminded Tommy of what fun was, what joy was and what it felt like to be truly unashamedly himself - something that nobody had ever made him felt safe enough to truly be.
Buck knew he’d achieved his task of sweeping Tommy off his feet tonight already, but there was one more thing he decided, last minute, that he was going to do.
Buck picked up his phone and searched for the perfect song, settling on Songbird by Eva Cassidy because it was on the soundtrack to Tommy’s favourite movie Love, Actually. He didn’t even need to do anything because as soon as the opening bars played through the speaker Tommy instantly knew what it was and pulled Buck into a slow dance.
They swayed slowly and silently for a few moments just breathing in the perfect moment with each other with Tommys arms wrapped around Bucks waist and Bucks arms around his neck.
“So, not that I’m complaining, babe, what with all the romancing lately?” Tommy asked.
“You deserve it.” Was Bucks simply reply. Tommy looked at him with a mixture of adoration with a hint of confusion. “You go out of your way to show me how much you love me and to do all these sweet and romantic things for me, but you deserve them too. You deserve to be shown how much you mean to me also.” Tommy was looking at him with those eyes again - the big bright ones Buck first saw right before he kissed him for the first time - and he had to use every bit of strength to hold back from jumping him, because he needed to say this before his courage disappeared.
“I see how you look at these little moments in the romcoms you love and I hate that you never got to experience them, so I wanted you to have some of them of your own. Our own. Plus, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to tell you just how much I love you. To tell you how unbelievably happy I am that you walked, well, flew into my life. To tell you that I have never in all of my life thought that I deserved to have someone so beautiful and kind and wonderful and just fucking incredible as you. And.. and to ask you to marry me.”
Tommy blinked. Did he hear that correctly?
“Wh-what?”
“I know, it’s- we’ve not even been together a full year yet, and full disclosure I didn’t even know I was going to ask until, like, 10 minutes ago, so I don’t even have a ring, and-“ Tommy grabbed Buck either side of his neck and pressed his lips firmly against his. When Tommy pulled back his cheeks were wet with tears cascading over his beautiful lower lashes. Finally, Buck thought, though he kept that to himself.
“Hold that thought.” He said simply before quickly leaving the room. He took 2 steps at a time as he hurtled upstairs, before running back down seconds later back to Buck still stood in the center of the dining room.
He lifted up his palm on top of which was a dark blue velvet box, opened, with 2 tarnished silver bands of differing sizes, each with a shiny silver strip running around the centre of each of them.
“You bought.. how long have you..” Buck could barely get the words out. His eyes kept flicking between Tommys beautiful face and the rings in his hand.
“About a month. Well, I ordered them custom made about 2 months ago but I’ve had them for a month.”
“Custom?” Was all Buck could get out.
Tommy pointed to the shiny part of the rings. “A couple of years ago I had this rescue and the husband of the woman we were life flighting was telling us about how they met. Anyway, he said that his family had this tradition of putting something sentimental in the band to give to your partner as.. sort of as a piece of you. You know that piece of metal that sits on my desk in the study?”
“Y-yeah. It’s part of the blade from the first chopper you flew when you transferred to harbour.”
“Right. Well, it now has a little chunk missing.” He laughed. “Transferring to the 217 was the first piece of me finally becoming who I always wanted to be. You’re the last piece, Evan.”
Buck had this whole night planned—minus is own spontaneous proposal—and had wanted Tommy to be the feeling pleasantly surprised and loved.. yet here he was himself being loved so fucking beautifully it was taking everything within him to not break apart right there.
“What’s-what’s in your ring?” He asked.
“Well, that was.. a little trickier. And full disclosure on my part— Maddie knows because I had to enlist her help.”
“Okay..”
“It’s difficult to pick something when your boyfriend loves so many things,” he teased “and then Maddie.. she gave me a little silver bracelet that she was given as a kid and-“
Buck inhaled a breath when he realised what bracelet Tommy was referring to. Immediately his whole chin began to quiver and tears filled his eyes.
“The one that Daniel gave to her.”
“Yeah.” Tommy said softly. “She told me how he’d seen it one day when he was with your grandparents when he was 6 or something and insisted he give to her for her birthday.” Buck nodded, not being able to find words. “She said that this would be something that would be special to you because you never got to know him. Is-is that okay?”
Buck looked from the ring back to up Tommy; eyes completely blurred from tears pouring out of him.
“I.. this..” He could always find peace in Tommy eyes but this was all so- it was overwhelming and.. he took a deep breath to try and calm himself.
“Tommy, this whole night was-was supposed to be about you.. a-and showing you just how much to mean to me and then..” he blew out another breath trying to center himself “and then here you are with the most beautiful fucking gesture, I.. I can’t..” The tears flowed once again and this time he threw his arms around Tommys neck and held on tight. Tommy, as he always did, reciprocated and held him tightly back.
“I love you so fucking much.” He cried into Tommys neck. Tommys own tears were flowing too, now.
“God I love you, too, Evan. More than I could ever even show you.”
“I don’t know-“ Buck pulled back with a laugh “I think you hit it out of the ball park with this one.” He gently thumbed Tommys tears from his cheeks. He looked closer at the rings.
“Are there inscriptions?”
“Only on yours.” Tommy replied, sniffing.
“For my Evan. Always.” Buck read out loud. Tommy wiped away Bucks next tears that came. They were the only type of tears he ever wanted to illicit from his Evan.
“I thought you would what to decide what to inscribe on my ring.”
“Can I put it on you now?” Tommy asked.
“Uh, technically I should be putting yours on you because I asked first. Actually, you haven’t actually said yes by the way..”
Tommy reached up an gently fixed a curlon Bucks head and looked at him with those big earnest eyes again.
“Yes.”
Buck took his ring out of the box and slid it onto Tommy finger, then Tommy did the same with Bucks ring.
Buck gripped the lapels of Tommys tux and pulled him into a kiss. They both sighed into it. It wasn’t a kiss that they’d shared before; this one was full of promise, of hope, a future - the rest of their lives as husbands.
Tommy pulled back for a second “By the way, I did promise Maddie that the second we became engaged that we would face time her. Where’s your phone?”
“She can wait a little bit.” Buck replied aiming his lips at Tommys neck.
“You sure? She might be mad.” Buck lifted up and looked Tommy in the eyes.
“Tommy, there’s only one thing I want to do right now and it absolutely does not involve my sister.”
“She can wait a little bit.” Tommy repeated wrapping his arms around his Evans neck and pulling him in for another deep kiss.

Type of Queer: MLM, WLW, Asexual/Aromantic, Genderfluid
Addtional Info: "Legends is sort of the ugly duckling show of the Arrowverse on the CW (so Arrow, Flash, Supergirl, etc) Multiple characters who got the ol’ Bury Your Gays treatment on their mainline arrowverse show are literally canonically resurrected to be in this side show. Casually flirty bi disasters, more than one hidden tragic backstory involving dooming your (explicitly gay) lover, and the final season even gave us a lesbian wedding AND an open, verbal discussion about one of the characters being aroace. There’s also. Uh. Mpreg? It’s mostly played for laughs and giving a gruff begrudging deadbeat dad a new perspective on parenting but that does happen. Also lots of musical theatre references which while not explicitly gay is pretty queer"
"I'm probably missing/ forgetting a character/ queer aspect of this show because they did so much."

27 Asks! Thank you! :}} 💞
Tumblr media
@peaspods
I might not be understanding, but I'm imagining this as people opening up commissions so people can give them money and they can turn around and donate that money to me..
I fear that this would create the opportunity to scam people.. "I'm taking commissions on behalf of Factual Fantasy! They're very sick so please commission me!" only for them to run away with the money they make..
I've been thinking a lot about setting up some kind of commission/donation thing because I'm starting to kind'a need the money.. but idk, I'm just kind'a run down and need some time to keep thinking about it. Thank you very much though <:)))
Tumblr media
@zecromgen5
Thank you very much! :) And I've been hanging in there.. there hasn't been much improvement to my health or my mental state. The fact that in April it will officially been over a year since my health started to decline, and the fact that I'm going to spend my birthday at home collapsed on the couch has made me feel very sad <:( But I'm doing my best to work on it.. I'm hoping this new advice from my doctor helps me feel better <:)
And something good HAS happened actually, I got my tablet/FireAlpaca to work again! :))
Tumblr media Tumblr media
XDD SJKFJSH AWW! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! :DDD
Tumblr media
I've only seen a bit of it from Markiplier. So far I'm 50/50. Somethings I like and others I don't care for 😅
Tumblr media
@neo-metalscottic
Thank you so much! :D 'm glad you've liked my recent artwork!! :}}}}
Also for Homes eyes, that was just meant to represent its oppressive presence and the fact that its watching them in that moment.. 👁️👁️
And I don't have any plans for any of the neighbors or Wally to figure out the house is alive. My AU is more like "a day in the life of" thing. Having someone discover Home is alive would move the plot forward. Which I don't feel like doing <XDD
Now communication... Home understands the concept, but he has no way of communicating other than creaking the floorboards and slamming doors..
Tumblr media
I've heard about the well. That could work for Cliffjumper and Breakdown maybe.. and the twins perhaps.? But wouldn't they have to have Tailgates body in order to revive him? Hmmm.. idk actually,,
Tumblr media
I've watched the bayverse movies, most of Prime and a few other things here and there. I didn't mind the bayverse movies that much, but I can see why a lot of people don't like them <XD
I just imaging trying to consume more than one Transformers media would be a lot to take on.. and I also don't like the animation styles of most other transformers shows 😅
(That's actually how I decided to watch Prime. I took a look at all the shows and went "this one looks ugly, this one looks ugly,, this one looks REALLY ugly.. Oh, this one doesn't look half bad. TFP it is then!")
Tumblr media
@acreaturecalledkyfa
I've watched Markipliers first video on it. So far I'm not sure how I feel about those two 😅
Tumblr media
The way I immediately opened YouTube and went looking for it XDD

Jangles would be a helicopter probably, Gerald would be a tank, Cici would be a Miata and Bibi would be a slightly raised up Miata XDD

Aw, I'm honored that you miss them <:}} Though I don't know if I'll draw them anytime soon.. I'm really not into inserted OCs anymore <:(
Tumblr media
I'm waiting on Markiplier to release more videos on it <XD

I like to imagine that Pokémon can learn dozens of moves. But 4 is the limit for official Pokémon battles. So any wild Pokémon in my comics can use/learn as many as they want :0

2019 patrick x miss honey coded/kindergarten teacher reader
In a moment of desperation from both of you, you two resort to Tinder. He was looking for a place to stay, too broke to afford even the cheapest motel. You were looking for some company, desperately lonely in your own personal life even in spite of the fulfillment you felt from your job.
When he asked you to meet for drinks, you felt somewhat wary, never one to drink much, but agreed anyways. You were too lonely to refuse. Upon meeting him, you were surprised, but you knew you shouldn’t have been. His profile told you everything you needed to know. He was scruffy, seemingly polite, though he cussed like a sailor, and he obviously wanted to sleep with you. But it had been so long since that had even happened for you… and you couldn’t deny it was nice to feel wanted.
Of course, you ended up taking him home. He let out a laugh, mostly out of surprise, when he saw the literal cottage you lived in. He marveled at the live flowers around your home and the eclectic interior. That is, before he kissed you as if he was never going to let go.
That was Saturday night. He had slept over, of course, that being his plan all along. Sunday morning you were up before 10am reading with a glass of tea while his toned body laid asleep in your bed. When he finally woke, you offered him tea and a croissant. He eventually asked you the questions that had been pressing on his mind, namely why you dressed ‘like you were going to church.’ Of course, you answered that you were a kindergarten teacher, which he said ‘made a lot of sense.’
That evening he explained his circumstances, you, of course, taking pity on him for having to sleep in his car, and offering he stay for the rest of the challenger. You told him it didn’t come with a price though. He originally was excited, thinking you meant sex, but he was disillusioned when you put him to work on ribbon garlands. “They’re for my class! I showed them a tiny one and they loved it so I said I’d make big ones to put around the classroom.”
He rolled his eyes, but his smile gave him away. He found your dedication sweet. You showed him pictures of your class and told him about all the wild, funny things the kids said, while he worked diligently on the garland. Neither of you realized but you had been chatting and working till 3am, the smoke of your cinnamon scented candle putting itself out as it drown in wax alerting you two. At one point you had dozed off, your head in Patrick’s lap, and he just didn’t have the heart to wake you. When you did wake up, immediately getting back to work, you chastised him for letting you get ‘sidetracked’ by sleep, to which he just chuckled.
When you did finally go to bed, you had thankfully finished the garland and could relax comfortably in Patrick’s arms, even if you would have to go work in only a few hours. You thought you could get used to this.

@skidspace thank you for sharing this lovely piece!!! Oh my god this is so good!!!
Context: missing scene from part 3 of this
———
Hello! I was the anon that mentioned writing an extra scene involving Trick. I ended up adding more to it as I started writing and editing. Again I’m not much of an author so I apologize for any mistakes or confusing parts but I hope you enjoy!
Thanks again for the wonderful story that inspired this
~~~~~~
Steve had to wipe his eyes before he dared to leave the bathroom.
Eddie’s letter was… a lot to take in. He’d be lying if he said the apology didn’t feel good. Hell he’s been yearning for one ever since that last night he saw Eddie.
Even so, it didn’t make that initial hurt go away. Nothing had. Not the time away, not the idea of moving on. Nothing could fill the chasm that used to be filled with Eddie’s love. To know that Eddie was hurting to? It didn’t make him feel any better.
After what Steve deemed enough time to compose himself and not look like a total wreck in front of the customers, he carefully folded the letter back into his apron and left the bathroom. He must’ve been in there longer than he thought because Trick’s booth was now empty.
Steve sighed and thought to himself, he’s still on the clock so he might as well actually do his job. And went to go clear off the table.
As he stacked the dishes and cup a with practiced ease, Steve noticed something amongst the mess. It was a napkin with the words “Rock on, Steve!” written in the corner, and crudely drawn doodle of a hand making the devil horns sign in black ink. Next to the napkin were a few crumpled bills and some change, plenty to cover the cost of Trick’s meal and a tip.
Steve felt his eyes start to well up again. Dammit, he can’t handle this much emotional whiplash in just one 5-hour shift. First Eddie’s letter and now a guy he honestly thought hated his guys was taking the time to apologize and be genuinely kind to him.
Steve set the dishes back on the table and just stared at the napkin note, but he was taken out of his spiral by a loud “Are you kidding me?!” coming from the front of the diner followed by the sound of someone slapping glass.
He peaked around the corner of the booth only to see none other than Trick staring at the ancient pinball machine they kept in the waiting area like it had just insulted his mother.
Steve however, couldn’t help but laugh, which caused Trick to finally break eye contact with the offending contraption and whip his head around. At first, he had a nasty scowl on his face that Steve was SURE many a jock at Tricks own high school had experienced. But once he saw that it was Steve and realized the laugh wasn’t a mocking one, his scowl turned into a cheeky smirk with too much teeth showing, but was friendly nonetheless.
He turned and fully faced Steve.
“Your machine is busted, dude.” He said, slapping the glass top of the pinball machine once again.
“I don’t know man,” Steve surprised himself with how easy he found a joke tone to his words, “I’ve seen a few 10 year olds absolutely destroy the high score on that thing. I think this is just a user issue.”
“Oh fuck off.” Trick’s smile grew wider with the jest, only to be followed by someone loudly clearing their throat. Steve and Trick both turned their heads to see Jenny with her arms crossed and brows furrowed, gaze pinned on Trick.
The other man’s face fell from jovial to a harden nonchalance. Steve recognized the change all too well from when people would give Eddie a hard time in public back home. Like Eddie, the shift in Trick looked well-practiced.
Trick put his hands in the pockets of his jacket and cleared his throat, looking back at Steve once more. “I should probably get going, but uh- could I ask you something first?”
“Yeah, sure.”
“Is Eddie doing okay?”
Steve felt a pit form in his stomach at the question. He really didn’t want to air out everything that happened between him and Eddie with a guy he had JUST gotten on friendly terms with.
“W-what do you mean?” He settled on.
Trick gestured up towards his face.
“It’s just that no one has seen him at a party since the night he rocked my shiiii-“ his eyes flick over to where Jenny was still glaring, “I mean, since he called me out for how we were treating you.”
“I, um,” Steve’s hand reflexively went to the letter in his apron, “I don’t really know. I haven’t seen him in…a while.”
Something in how Steve had said that must’ve tipped Trick off to the situation, even just a little. His face took on a concerned look.
“Oh. Well, if you see him or talk to him soon, can you tell him I’m sorry?”
“For what?”
“For driving him away too. Even without the whole ‘boyfriend thing’, for people like us - people like Eddie - it’s hard to find a place that will accept you for who you are, let alone make you feel welcomed. We shouldn’t have made him feel like he had to be one thing or that he had to hide an important part of his life.”
Steve was silent , standing there contemplating the potential of all that might have happened to Eddie since he walked out of their apartment and never came back. Putting the pieces he had together, it seemed that Eddie had not only punched one of his cool new metal friends for Steve’s sake, but had completely stopped hanging out with his all of his cool new metal friends after they bad mouthed Steve to Eddie’s face. Steve was always under the impression that Eddie had known about the ridicule Trick and his friends subjected him to. But he either just didn’t know the severity of it all, or he didn’t care enough to come to Steve’s defense.
Steve was starting to think that was wrong.
Why didn’t Eddie say any of this in his letter? Would it have made the situation better? Would Steve have believed him if he hasn’t just had this whole eye opening apology and conversation with Trick?
The thought threatened to tip his emotions over the edge again so he shook his head a bit, desperate to clear his thoughts
He finally replied, “I’ll tell him.”
Some of Trick’s toothy smile retuned to his face. “Thanks Steve.” He then threw up the devil horns with his right hand and turned to leave.
As he walked away, Trick turned his head one last time to say “I get it if you don’t wanna come back, but I hope I’ll see you around.”
The bell above the door jingled as it was opened, then closed, and then Trick was gone.
-
Steve had to take a few deep breathes before he went back and finished clearing out the booth. Upon returning to behind the counter, Jenny slid up to him with her arms crossed again.
“God, I thought he’d never leave. That guy didn’t give you a hard time, did he?”
Steve didn’t mean to, but a bitter tone slips into his voice.
“No, Jenny. He didn’t.”
Jenny huffed.
“Good, cuz you never know with those types. They always look like they’re gonna-“
“Just because he looks mean and scary doesn’t mean that’s how he really is! You can’t just judge people like that Jenny!” Steve snapped and instantly felt bad for it. The wide-eyed look Jenny was giving him only made it worse.
“Sorry, sorry,” he said, “I shouldn’t have yelled at you.”
“No, you’re right. I mean, yeah the yelling was a little rude, but I shouldn’t judge someone just by how they look or dress,” Jenny shrugged, “I mean just look at Rob. He dresses like a dorky pencil pusher who wouldn’t hurt a fly but you and I both know he packs the meanest left hook when the day drunks get too handsy.”
Steve couldn’t help but let out a loud belly laugh at that. God, he really does love working a shift with Jenny.
-
Steve normally took the bus back to Robin’s dorm after work, but the weather was nice enough and his head was full enough that he decided he needed the walk. There were just too many things that happened today he had to work through.
First there was Eddie’s letter and apology, then Trick’s appearance and apology. Those two things alone were enough for one day. But there was also something else. Something Trick said combine with how he acted, how others had acted towards him, that Steve couldn’t get out of his mind.
“For people like Eddie, it’s hard to find a place that accepts you for who you are, let alone makes you feel welcomed.”
Now Steve knew that most of the crowds he ran with back in Hawkins couldn’t be counted as good friends. But he never entered a group of people and felt unwelcomed. He didn’t have people scoff at him or shuffle away when he entered a room. The only time he felt truly ostracized in high school was the time between Billy Hargrove showing up and meeting Robin after graduation. And even then he may not have been welcomed in his old social circles, but when he walked into a room his presence was at least accepted. After graduation most people he knew stopped caring about the petty high school bullshit anyway, save for Billy himself and a select few of his crownies. He had real friends by then. And eventually, he had Eddie.
Eddie who had always been the one that people would stare at like he was going to sacrifice their dogs to Satan at any minute.
Eddie who knew that there wasn’t a place for outcasts like him, so he MADE a place where other kids could feel safe.
Steve thought back on that first day walking into school after Billy had fully deposed him from his title of King Steve. He had felt hundreds of eyes on him as he walked down the hallway, but at the same time he had never felt more alone.
Steve now wondered if that was the feeling Eddie had dealt with his whole life while living in Hawkins.
The idea made him feel…different about Eddie’s actions these past couple months.
Of course, those actions still caused hurt. And after many late-night tearful discussions with Robin, Steve knew he didn’t deserve to be treated that way, that he had deserved better.
But…
But maybe Eddie hadn’t done it because he was ashamed of Steve, or because he didn’t care about how Steve felt.
Maybe…maybe Eddie just couldn’t believe he had found a place that welcomed him because of who he was, not despite it.
He had told Steve as much about their own relationship after they started officially dating. Eddie joked that he couldn’t believe his interests and quirks were what Steve called positives instead of dealbreakers. Steve had laughed along with him at the time. Now the thought broke his heart.
Steve was tired of things breaking his heart. He was tired of licking his wounds, and he was tired of hiding in Robin’s dorm.
Steve had changed his mind about walking. He located the nearest bus stop.
After all, his and Eddie’s apartment was on the other side of town.
Steve had a letter he needed to respond to in person.
Cowboy Hat Rule Part 1 - Ghostroach
SFW | Minor Violence
Currently the 141 were stationed in good ole’ Fort Worth, Texas. The hot and humid weather of mid July was harsh, and being in a full tac kit only made things more miserable. Two days already in the city and Soap was begging to go home. But they couldn’t, not just yet. The reason why they’re currently holed up inside of a van with a barely working AC unit, was because an anonymous tip gave the team a possible hit on El Sin Nombre. Said he was running large trades through the traveling rodeo, so here they are now, waiting outside the ongoing rodeo in Cowtown.
Ghost actually advised against deploying to Texas due to the lack of legitimacy in the tip’s claim and not much proof to back it up besides a half torn letter from El Sin Nombre himself that could’ve been a fake anyways. But as they were incredibly desperate to catch this guy for intel on the missing missiles, they took any chance they were offered to get him, and so Price and Laswell approved the mission and sent out the lieutenant with the three of his sergeants to meet up with Colonel Vargas, Sergeant Major Parra, and Commander Graves. It was only their second time meeting, but it felt like they’ve all known each other for much longer, guess that’s what happens in war.
“It’s so fookin’ miserable in here.” Soap pulled at the collar of his shirt that was drenched in sweat. “Cannae wait any longer before I gaun get heatstroke.” He then attempted to fan himself with his hand.
Ghost sighed and tossed a water bottle at him, “Shut up Sergeant. Rodeo should be done within the next hour, you can be quiet and wait until then.” Ghost tugged at his mask, repositioning it as the sweat caused it to cling flush against his face.
Soap scoffed, “Away n’ bile yer head!”
Suddenly Gaz’s voice perked up from beside Soap, “It is hot in here though, Soap’s not wrong about the heatstroke either.” He looked around the van at the miserable and sweaty men.
“We can’t risk opening any doors and exposing our cover over needing a little bit of air. Just drink water, you’ll live.” Ghost was very irritated that night. Having to come to Texas was the first thing that ticked him off. Then it was the weather. And then there was the plan they had. It was flimsy, nothing very solid to go off of in the first place, so naturally there’s a lot of room for error and danger, and Ghost didn’t like that.
Roach leaned in beside him, “What about a window?” His goggles rested on top of his helmet, allowing Ghost and the rest visual access to his eyes where currently Roach was lifting one eyebrow up expectantly.
“Negative Sergeant. You’re just gonna have to suffer.” His monotone voice showed no sign of sarcasm or humor. The sergeants all sighed loudly not being able to get their pleas through to the lieutenant.
“Heads up,” Rudy knocked on the metal mesh separating the back of the van with the two seats up front. “Two armed men just got out of a truck near an emergency exit at the rodeo. We may have something here.”
“About fucking time. Get ready boys.” Graves clapped triumphantly. Surprisingly to Ghost, Graves has managed to become more insufferable and obnoxious than Soap! And unfortunately for Ghost, he had the honor of sitting right next to the mercenary commander.
“Not yet,” Alejandro chimed in. “We don’t see any package, they’re only just standing around, no need to engage yet.” Then he whispered something in Spanish to Rudy, too quiet for Ghost to make it out.
After about 20 more minutes of waiting and various complaints about the heat, they finally got the green light to engage. “Eyes on a woman being escorted by three other heavily armed men.” Rudy called out, binoculars pulled up to his eyes.
“ID?” Ghost asked, trying to shift his body and look through the mesh and out the windshield.
“I think we got a hit on El Sin Nombre’s personal sicaria, Valeria Garza.” Rudy responded, tension in his voice.
“That’s the bitch who slipped through us last time in Las Almas, isn’t she?” Graves asked furiously. Back in Las Almas during their first meeting, they attempted to seize Valeria but they ended up being outnumbered and she was able to escape and go back into hiding.
“Easy there, Graves.” Alejandro warned from the driver’s seat.
Suddenly Rudy, who still was looking through his binoculars, yelled out, “Target getting into the truck, more men behind her loading crates into a black suburban, possibly the package she has to deliver.”
“Copy that, calling it in.” Ghost switched his comms to the channel with Laswell, as did the rest of the men. “Laswell, we have eyes on Valeria Garza and the package. Permission to follow and engage if needed?”
Laswell’s voice crackled through his earpiece, “Affirmative, you have the go ahead. Try to make it out of the city before engaging with them, we want to keep a low profile.”
“Copy. Going into pursuit.” Ghost stood up and reached over to bang on the metal mesh signaling it’s time to go.
Alejandro put the car into gear and began rolling out of the alleyway and down the narrow street a few hundred feet from the targets. They anxiously followed behind the cars, waiting for them to arrive at their destination. After about 10 minutes of driving, they turned onto a private dirt road where they were more exposed than before.
“Drop back following distance, they’ll be able to spot us much easier than before,” Rudy advised and Alejandro complied, slowing the vehicle down and leaving another couple hundred feet between them and the targets.
“Losing visual on Valeria and the package, too far back and too much dirt being kicked up,” the colonel warned. Suddenly their tail lights disappeared completely and the soldiers were unable to make out the cars through the dust. “Command, we lost complete visuals with targets. I repeat, we have no visuals on targets.”
“Something isn’t right…” Roach muttered anxiously.
“No,” Ghost agreed. “Pull over the van and-“
All of the sudden the truck and suburban came into view and were parked horizontally over the road, multiple of the armed men standing behind the vehicles, gun trained on their approaching van. Alejandro slammed on the brakes, causing the van to swerve and stop horizontally on the road as well, bout a hundred feet away from their enemies.
“GET DOWN!” Alejandro and Rudy yell, ducking below the windshield and windows as bullets begin to fire and hit the van. Ghost was extremely thankful for the armoured van Price gave them, a reinforced body and chassis, and bullet proof glass. It was enough to handle some firepower for a good amount of time, much longer than a normal van.
“Laswell, targets have opened fire on us, we’re pinned down.” Ghost yelled out through the comms, hands on his weapon waiting for an opportunity to engage.
“Shit! Get out of the van as quickly as you can and engage. We’ll try to send in reinforcements.” Laswell then went silent as she made her other calls for backup.
“We don’t have time to wait around for others! Ghost, are you able to get out the back door?” Alejandro yelled out over the loud gunfire.
“It’s risky but possible!” Ghost got up from the bench, still keeping down low in the van. “Moving out!” He swung open the door which was immediately hit by dozens of bullets. He waited until there was a minor pause in fire, as they were reloading, to leap out and run behind the van, quickly making his way to the front of the vehicle. He positioned his gun around the very front of the van and began to shoot at the cartel. He immediately downs one man who falls off the bed of the truck. “Need more power!” Ghost urgently called out, and a few seconds later Roach is behind him, laying down fire from over the hood of the van.
A couple more men drop dead but not enough to try and advance further. Gaz was the next to come out, staying at the back of the van, shooting from under the opened back door. He was able to pick off another guy, leaving about five cartel members and Valeria left. Each side continued to exchange bullets for another 5 minutes before the other side halted fire completely. Suspicious, Ghost peeks around the corner to try and spot them but is unable to see a single enemy. “Gaz, visual on anyone?”
“Negative, LT. Looks like they ran.” Gaz moved over to Ghost and Roach, Soap on his heels right behind him.
“Or they’re all dead.” Soap chuckled.
Ghost shook his head, “Don’t get too excited just yet, Johnny. Something is off.” He squatted and leaned against the tire, “Alejandro, you see anything?”
Alejandro picks his head up and peaks through the cracks in the window, “Nothing Ghost.” The van’s door creaks loudly as he opens it slowly, and steps out. “I think we’re clear. Rudy, come out.” Rudy on the other side of the van hops out and joins the other four soldiers still hiding behind the van. The men gather around to regroup and figure out what they need to do next. Valeria had once again slipped right of their grasp. “Hold up, where’s Graves?”
Ghost whipped his head around and walked carefully over to the back of the van where the door was still open, he peered through and saw Graves holding up a radio, speaking quietly into it. “Hey, the fuck are you doing? We’re regrouping, Valeria’s back in the wind.”
Graves turned sharply on his heel, an odd grin on his face, “Quite the opposite Lieutenant Riley. While y’all were shooting at the cartel, I called in some of my Shadows for reinforcement. They caught her and took down her escorts about half a mile out from here.”
Ghost didn’t praise his efforts, he only grilled him more, “And where’d you get the clearance for that, Commander? Hadn’t heard you over the comms at all.”
“Shepherd gave the go-ahead. Turned on a different frequency and asked him directly.” He began to step out of the van, bumping his shoulder against Ghost’s harshly, “No need to worry, Lieutenant.”
“Well,” Roach walked up to Ghost, “Think we’re going to need a new ride.”
Ghost looks at the van full of bullet holes and shattered windows, smoke emitting from under the hood. “Think you’re right about that, Bug.”
Tumblr media
**Summary**: When Jensen admits to going home with someone else, will his and Y/N's marriage survive?
**Warnings**: Angst, heartbreak, smut, language
Chapter 7
A/N: This is just for entertainment only. I have no idea how or where something like this would take place. Would it be in a courtroom, in front of a judge, would there be an official ruling? I DON'T KNOW!! I am just writing how I imagine it would go.
A few weeks later
The room feels stuffy and claustrophobic to Jensen but maybe it is just nerves and the smart suit he is wearing.
He sits at a long conference table between his lawyer, Thomas Bell and Y/N waiting for the others to join. A court reporter sits at the head of the table with her machine situated in front of her, ready to capture the conversation.
It had practically taken an act of Congress and a little bit of nudging from his lawyer for Y/N to agree to be here today.
Mr. Bell had persuaded her to accompany them saying it ‘showed unity and solidified Jensen as an upstanding family man’. She reluctantly compromised but has yet to meet his eye.
When Jensen tries to hold her hand, she jerks it away with a seething “Don't!” but never takes her eyes from the door.
About five minutes later, that door opens and in walks Athena with her own attorney and one of the friends that Y/N recognizes from the group at the bistro.
The three of them approach the table and sit down across from the Ackles’ and Mr. Bell.
“Good afternoon,” the man says. “I'm Nathaniel Howell, legal representation for Miss Athena Haligan.”
He shakes Mr. Bell's hand as he introduces himself, then does the same for each of them.
“Okay now that formalities are out of the way, let's get to it,” Mr. Bell says. “Your client is accusing my client of sleeping with and impregnating her. With my client's notoriety and fame, this is slander that could not only impact his family but his career.”
“My client is 9 weeks pregnant. Is your client denying that?”
“No sir. We are not denying she is pregnant, we are denying the possibility that Mr. Ackles here is the father.”
“Does your client, Mr. Ackles, admit to meeting Miss. Haligan at Twilight Terrace, where they hit it off enough for him to accompany her back to her home?”
“No, that's not how it happened,” Jensen speaks up, to the annoyance of his lawyer.
Mr. Bell clears his throat as he looks at Jensen scoldingly and then back to the others. “Mr. Ackles did approach Miss Haligan at Twilight Terrace, as I'm sure there are many witnesses to. They spoke and Miss Haligan allegedly claimed to have an item, a record album of his band that she asked him to sign-”
“Hold on,” Mr. Howell says, holding up his hand. “I thought Mr. Ackles was an actor. I looked at his dossier. He is listed as an actor with an array of t.v. roles and a few movie roles.”
“That's correct,” Mr. Bell acknowledges. “But just last year, he released a music album with a friend, the duo is called 'Radio Company'.”
“Thank you for clearing that up,” Mr. Howell says as he writes notes on a legal pad. “So, is your client denying that he accompanied Miss Haligan back to her home?”
“No, he did accompany her, under the assumption that he would be signing the album for her and then rejoining his friends at the hotel bar.”
“And,” Mr. Howell inquired with a brief glance to his client. “How does he recollect the night going?”
This time, Jensen is allowed to speak. He retells his side of the story, from the time he arrived at the rooftop bar to the moment Jared helped him clean the smeared lipstick from his skin at his trailer on the lot of Supernatural, where he also changed his shirt and tossed it before being dropped off at his house.
He internally cringes as he speaks about the whole ordeal in front of Y/N. He had tried to keep as much information away from her as possible. He didn't want her to hear about him seeing another woman's breasts or being kissed by the other female.
But that is nothing compared to how he begins to feel as he listens to a drastically different version when Athena takes her turn to give her account of the events.
After hours of the back and forth, Jensen feels dirty and worried. Athena's narrative has even him second-guessing himself. He can only imagine how Y/N feels.
‘Did I really blackout and have sex with that girl?’ bounces around in his mind.
According to her, Jensen never pushed her away and actually encouraged the encounter. When she had disrobed, he had enthusiastically groped and caressed her and they kissed as they undressed each other.
Athena had begged to perform fellatio and he had conceded. Then they had sex and he told her he was going to ‘fill her up’ and then did.
Afterwards, she claimed he got re-dressed and left without a word, leaving her there, in her bed, in tears.
Jensen paces back and forth outside the room after bolting from it, trying to remember it that way. But he couldn't. He didn't remember any of that.
He runs his hands through his hair as the door to the room opens. He looks up to see Y/N step out.
She walks up to him, places her palm on his cheek and smiles. “She's lying.”
At the same time as the meeting is beginning, across the city, a laptop is open,Tumblr displayed on the screen. The person scrolls down the page, reading each word intently; it’s familiar to the reader but they are trying desperately to figure out why.
As he finishes the fanfiction novel he sits back on his sofa to think. At first he thought the person may have just plagiarized another fic but the more he contemplates it the more he worries for his friends, Jensen and Y/N. Is Athena using this story to fill some twisted need and thus ruining his friends’ lives? With that thought he exclaims “Oh my fucking god!” before highlighting and saving the whole thing to a new document and pressing print.
As the pages fill, Misha begins investigating just who Deansgirl4ever is. He goes to her Tumblr profile and begins scrolling, looking for clues to her identity.
A few hundred scrolls later, he comes across a post about donations and notices she has included a link to a Facebook profile.
Clicking the link, Misha watches as Facebook loads up and clicks on pictures for Krissi Nelson. Most of the pictures include the same four girls, but then there is one that is just two of them.
Misha clicks on it and reads the caption ‘My best girl Athena <3’. He smiles as he realizes he has just come across the answer to his friends’ dilemma.
After the last page comes forth- the picture of the two friends- Misha checks the time.
Jensen had told him what time the deposition was, so he grabs the stack of papers and his jacket before heading out the door.
Driving across town, it seems as if he was caught by every redlight and slow driver in the whole province. Misha just hopes he can make it in time.
Once he gets to his destination, he finds a parking space and grabs his loot and exits the car.
Sprinting across the lot, he heads to the City Hall building where he has to show his ID and ask for directions to the correct room.
The deposition room is on the floor above so he hurries to the elevator, pressing the call button numerous times.
As soon as the elevator dings and the doors slide open on the next floor, he steps out and finds Jensen and Y/N in a tight embrace.
“Guys,” he says loud enough for them to hear him. When they break apart and look at him curiously, he smiles. “I found the answer to your prayers.”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Preview from next chapter: Y/N stands up quickly, knocking her chair back and to the ground and before anyone could do anything, lunges over the table and slaps the young girl.
“You fucking whore!” .
Recently completed Marahuyo Project after hearing it reccomended on @the-conversation-pod and found it such a lovely and empathetic look at multiple queer experiences.
But what really touched me was the depiction of Archie in the story. The story of being a "gay bully" has been discussed To Death, brought back to life, and discussed To Death Once Again. But it still holds a lot or merit for me, Archie is not simply a bystander the same way Ino is. He misgenders Venice, he berates both her and King, and even by the end he has to choose Against his own community.
But I found in his story something thats been missing in much queer media lately, something i also loved and appreciated about LITBC, and its that Archie was never under any delusion he would be accepted. He was never, both when he was openly friends with Christina and Venice and after Christinas passing, wondering if the reaction would be positive or negative. He knew and knows exactly the reaction, and he knows it will be worse for him than anyone else around, even Ino.
When ppl discuss life in the closet, especially in the context of BLs, its an internal struggle. Even when the reaction is negative, the first battle that the characters go through is mainly whether they can Handle whatever reaction they recieve. A major anxiety concern is the surprise of it all, the relief of having seen the reaction, whether it be positive or negative, is as important as what actually happens.
But Archie doesnt have that anxiety, the courage hes mustering isnt for somethong as grand as revealing himself. He is so suppressed by his environment that even the slightest diversion is enough to warrant suspicion and fear that keeps him strictly in line. King being actually assaulted is violent and terrifying, similar to when his mother cuts his hair. But nobody needs to do anything to Archie, hes choking himself and keeping himself in check.
Even when he admits it to himself that hes One Of Us while talking to Venice, it does nothing for him. In comparison to Inos declaration to King, Archies knowledge of himself is a well worn fact. One hes pored over again and again hoping to change, one he knows intimately and that wears him down from the inside. Archie is religious, he does believe and his fear is not just bred from a person seeking acceptance but a fear of retribution amplified by the loss of his friend. Religion and queerness are not irreconcilable to many, but whats hard go reconcile is the internal and external abuse held together to keep those with that experience in check. The isolation leads to a rejection of the self and an embracing of the communal, which is why queer Communities and friend groups are such vital foundational concepts. One person is not a community, and the show makes that explicitly clear through the contrast of his love and care for Venice and his community mindedness.
Venice is sure to remind him that coming out is not the only kind of courage, but both she and King are brave. They have that courage, but they also have love surrounding them. Lorie never had any real people to lose outside of Lili. Its telling that Ino is only really ready when his father is willing to be there. But Archie knows he will never have that, he believes his family because he cares about them and doesnt want to lose them, but he doesnt dream of changing their minds. He can try with all his might, but his circumstances will never change and thats a major part of his tragedy. His coming out will leave him isolated, if free, and is so reflective of an underdiscussed closet journey.
