otoh zilbalodis said in another interview that he prefers to call his films "dialogue-free" instead of silent bc "the sound and the music have maybe even a bigger role than [in] most films, and we can be more expressive, not just with the sound and music but with the images as well" and as a lover of silent film i just need him to know that the same is true for silent films. they're not actually silent. the music is so important. the images are more expressive. a good organist will even add sound effects
