I don't use Tiktok, never will, In my opinion I think the app should shut down. [ But that will never happen... So I will cope.] But god are ya'll are insufferable on there. The fact you have this strong par asocial attachment to Sebastian and claim that Zerum is ""ruining the character"" is just blasphemy and shows you guys know nothing to zero about writing and do not play the game whats so ever. I've talked to Zerum; Ive talked to the devs and mods ; and all the false claims and misinformation that's being spread like a wildfire IS CRAZY. Everyone's so exhausted. It takes just a couple of minutes to prove it's false but that would actually require these people to literally sit down and fucking read. Zerum never banned anybody. Zerum doesn't handle the bans in the server. If you got banned or muted, it was most likely the automod in the server that they have implemented to avoid people saying anything weird or sexual... [ A friend of mine got muted because they sent a gif that had a weird name to it; nothing related to the gif, the gif was fine and they filed a ticket and got unmuted. Its just the bot doing its job.] and even then the mods probably banned you for something completely unrelated...

and even then, can we STOP normalizing this??

I recently received a DM from a fellow who was a junior mod in the Shipping Container server, & they’ve been gracious enough to allow me to use their words on the current happenings, covering the events of the 0303Emily internal happenings of the server at that time.

Now, you may wonder why exactly I’m bringing up the 0303Emily debacle, much less in association with Pansear?

Well, besides the fact that the accusations leveled against 0303Emily are baseless themselves (One example of why at the bottom of this post, completely ignoring the fact that Azriel was only a month or 2 away from being 18 at the time of the accusation while 0303Emily was just 20.), they indicate a trend between both accusations that further shows minimal actual PROOF & deliberate misinterpretations of situations to then twist things into a more negative light.

Now, the statement from the junior mod:

“first off, sorry this isnt really that well worded. i dont even know where to start with all this. i wanted to offer my view on things from the internals of the SC server and some info that might explain the origins of all this. ive wanted to talk about this for a while but im not a very confrontational person and i didnt even have a tumblr or twitter

i was a helper (basically junior mod that had bare mininum perms) on SC during the entire event, and while I did not participate in the decision because it was really complex and i was busy with finals but i did lurk the convo and read a lot of it. i dont have any screenshots of this because i left a few weeks later after the entire mod team basically dissolved and the server lost all its users.

basically a while back before the grooming accusations some kids (like under 18) on the server were going around looking up artists on furaffnity, e621, and other nsfw websites and then reporting it to the mods of SC and i think mainworld too. the mods were pretty "this isnt really our business" about it and told the kids to stop snooping, and that was the end of it.

a few months later still before the grooming the issue resurfaced with the same users going after nsfw artists, they were again told to mind their business but a few weeks later came back with the grooming accusations on top of it. the key thing here is that the mod issue was heavily centered around the nsfw art that emily had been making, along with several other users who were in nsfw servers that these kids had joined to snoop around. they logged thousands of messages from multiple users and sifted through them looking for anything that could be added to this report.

again i just want to emphasize that this was not at all about Emily and Azriel at this time. The entire report was about NSFW people were doing in private NSFW sites and places that the kids had to lie and sneak into because they were LOOKING for dirt on these people. It was not just emily but around a dozen users in our server that had been perfectly fine up until this point.

there was a lot of delay with getting this report finalized and the grooming accusation came later. however given the context this seemed to raise a few red flags for the staff because the accusors had been so intense about their search for info and the fact that the conversation between them was months prior, there was some question of if the accusors had coached or otherwise convicned azriel about them being groomed just to get more dirt on emily.

Well the SC mods were tired of the NSFW artists being reported and considering the number of people being reported (again, more than just emily) and the methods the accusors had taken, decided that this was basically tantamount to stalking and kicked everyone involved.

What you see on tumblr is the response to that. They went and said "SC is run by groomer zoophiles" and everyone who had a hate boner for pansear jumped on board and it went nuclear.

I dont really know if this helps but i am just tired of sitting here being unable to speak about it because i dont have a following and i really miss pansear.”

I want to further emphasize this part:

“again i just want to emphasize that this was not at all about Emily and Azriel at this time. Minors actively invaded adult-spaces, willingly & ACTIVELY exposed themselves to adult content EXPLICITLY to ‘dig up dirt.’

So, with that in mind, why would they stop at that? Why would they stop at something so trivial as faking screenshots? Multiple members have actively made threats to people accused & they care not about spreading a falsehood (Just look at Pansear’s old Tumblr handle!).

And here’s the example I said I’d give earlier. Azriel starts the conversation with mention of the horrors of some NSFW content from the fandom & then gives an example. 0303Emily follows up with a shared experience. This is some of the ‘proof’ that was presented in the doc Azriel & Co. put forth.

This doesn’t even mention any of the other discrepancies in their own ‘proof.’ The ‘Zoophilia’ allegations are once again Anthro on Anthro characters engaging in sexual acts, just like the allegation against Pansear.

I wont talk about the weird cgi and how unprofessional it looks but about how inaccurate the trailer is because it pisses me off and I have to be a nerd about it <3

first of all, those are NOT minecraft mountains.

Yes such seeds exist and you can find smt like that super easily in the game but it does NOT look so blocky

Next, what the fuck happened to the flowers.

Alot of the plants, trees, etc look like a disrespectful rip off of minecraft

Talking about plants, the trees are a big wtf

On the first pic you can see the log is SO THIN. LIKE THINNER THAN A TOOTHPICK. In the second you can see it is thicker, but because the block that fell out is so Itty bitty, you have to make the tree thinner.

The tree is as wide as the players, and when the block falls out its bigger than whatever the fuck this is. Yes I understand they have to carry the blocks and they can't make it too big, but you know what's a good solution? - make the blocks bigger when they fall out, but make them shrink when they get close/get put into a chest or inventory. SO EASY

Also I know you can find pink sheep naturally in the game, but oh come on.

You want to show how sPeCiAl the characters are and that they're sOoOoOo special they found a pink sheep on their spawn but oh my God you could have just let it be a normal sheep.

We stay with animals, and WHAT HAPPENED TO THE POOR WOLF. THE SNATCHED WAIST???? WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM ☹️

and why is the creeper so, fluffy. Creepers are NOT made out of fur they are made of what alot of minecraft players suspect rotten skin like zombies or a skin-alike material, but it is NOT fur.

Also, *wrong buzzer sound* llamas don’t just spawn naturally. Unless theres a wandering trader (or however theyre called in english) they aren’t able to spawn just like that. They also usually have the carpet on their back.

EDIT: TURNS OUT THEY DO SPAWN NATURALLY IN MOUNTAIN BIOMES. still the Llama being here looks like they just put her there to try and "be funny" ykwim?

I also wanted to also say, this one character I feel that they're gonna be the most stereotypical, annoying one out of the whole movie and my ears hurt just looking at them

I wanted to say that the portal shouldn't be blue but like. Only the nether portal is purple, it's unknown how other portals look so... yeah

But still wtf is this cube??? What's the fuck are you holding young man???

Also, talking about mobs, piglins dont look like that, they dont have red light in their eyes, they dont have those drum-things because THEY DONT EVEN EXIST IN MINECRAFT which i will get to latur. They aren’t able to build like that, they aren’t able to get wood for trapdoors and for the fences and iron for the chains. Also they do not even know how to craft, they probably domt even know what a crafting table is. And ghasts also aren’t able to be in the overworld. I understand that theyre invading the land ans taking over but still Like Cmon >:(

I also wanted to say that this is not how nether looks but like. It does a bit, like where the piglins usually spawn ykwim? so ill give them that, the nether looks alr

Anyway TALKING ABOUT THINGS THAT DONT EXIST IN MINECRAFT: whatever this is, it isnt craftable in minecraft, unless there are mods installed. But the „mods” excuse can be used for everything in this post. It was the first thing i saw that pissed me off so badly that i had to make this post because like JUST USE ALL THE STUFF THAT THE ORIGINAL FRANCHISE HAS TO OFFER! NORMAL BUCKETS WOULD PROBABLY WORK JUST FINE!

Last but not least, if you think those two are the same character ive got some bad news for you buddy.

At least dye his beard brown. At least get the colours right. Please.

mod yams speaking here! this will be our final post on the account, unless unforeseen circumstances arise. i just wanted to personally thank everyone who was with me on this journey over the last year

as some of you may know, this was my first time modding a zine, let alone being the head mod of one. there were a lot of things i needed to figure out along the way, and in all honesty, im just grateful this project was a success

every mod was invaluable, but i wanted to personally thank our writing mod kellen for being the Spreadsheet Master (in his words) and for putting up with my nagging. get yourself a man like kellen who is organized to a fault and can work a spreadsheet like nobodys business

to the contributors, i wanted to thank you all for giving this zine a shot. whilst smaller in scale (and thus less likely to fail), our mod team was otherwise inexperienced. yet you all valiantly took on the task and cooperated with us until the very end. im thankful to each and every one of you for putting in your all and for being patient with us during the production time. if you ever need any help, please feel free to reach out to me! ive got your back

Hello! Sorry to bother, but I’ve been trying to find this fic for ages and it beginning to drive me insane. I’ve checked all the tags it would be under but still no luck. The fic was essentially about Dean and Cas being overly coupley (but without actually having gotten together yet) and Sam being frustrated. I’ve checked the POV Sam tag, Oblivious Dean/Cas tags, and others like 5+1 things but nada 😞 Here are the specific scenes I remember from it: - Dean and Cas share a twizzler back and forth which grosses Sam out enough that he calls someone to complain (I pretty sure Charlie) - Shortly after this Dean and Cas argue about Cas having used Dean’s toothbrush - I’m pretty sure this fic also includes a scene where Dean is taking a shower and Cas comes in to just sit and talk to him and Sam is like “hey wtf?” And Dean just goes “no this is normal” That’s all I can remember with accuracy. I’ve read through several other similar fics like “Dude being Dudes” and “Sharing is Caring” and am sure it’s not those. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you so much 😊

THIS IS A REALLY GOOD QUESTION... i had to consult with my friends for a lengthy food discussion (big hearts to @cosmicocoffee who helped me with like literally all of them)

for Pom, she's a wraith, so she just likes interesting and strong tastes. she's very partial to sweet things, and she LOVES chocolate (because that's one of the first sweets she ever tasted). although, she also like really spicy things because it's a neat feeling. as for least favorite, uh... i mean, the girl will literally eat soap for fun. it's very rare for her to have a food item she despises. they DO exist though, she fucking hates raisins

Dingo likes MANLY food, like MEAT and RIBS. well, he mostly likes being seen eating it. he does have a fondness for sweet things and smoothies. the town he grew up in could get pretty cold, so he grew up eating quite a lot of hot meals like caldo de res (he's especially fond of soups made the way his mama used to make them). he also picks up a fondness for hot tea from growing up with yonny, but he always puts extra honey in his cups. dingo HATES some foods though, especially sushi. the last time he tried to impress people by eating sushi, Dingo was hunched over outside the restaurant with Yonny rubbing his back...

shepherd! likes coffee. @soupvnova said she'd go to starbucks (spacebucks?) often to get the pup cup for oatchi which is very good. she has the healthiest diet out of all of them with routine exercise, protein shakes, lots of fruits and shit. she does have a weakness and a bit of a sweet tooth though, especially for cake. it hardly puts a dent in her diet though given her metabolism, she's a very built captain. she's not a fan of steamed vegetables... too squishy for her.

while talking about shepherd it is imperative to share that Oatchi will eat ANYTHING. if something hits the ground it is in his mouth immediately, shepherd has had to wrestle him to get space dog-unsafe food outta there before. although she will also constantly sneak him stuff from the dinner table

collin's fun because he enjoys eating healthy, he's a fan of fresh spring salads and stuff like pineapples and watermelon, but he also has to live off of a lot of processed/vending machine food because the man pulls all nighters frequently. he's also prone to stress eating... you can find him demolishing a watermelon and he's just. covered with seeds. he likes crunchy foods and seeds-- he's very hamstercore. he comes to Despise instant noodles because of how often he has to rely on them for food in the dead of night

fucking uhhh yonny, he likes foods that pair well with reading, he has pretty "mature" tastes and enjoys tea, maybe a glass of wine if he's feeling it. he often gets tunnel vision with his work and will neglect to eat, and as their doctor he'll have to set reminders on his phone to go have a meal so he doesn't fall ill. i can imagine he's not too into sugary things...

we already know bernard has some very expensive tastes, but he might just struggle with some textures or tastes in food. like, he enjoys pizza, this man is just a very picky eater... i can see him having tastes all over the board though. also he's protective over his stuff, he cared more about dingo eating his pizza than abandoning him

olimar and louie are not part of the rescue corps, but i could see olimar joining (and louie following) sometime after the events of 4! he'd get a much better benefits package... he'd be good at providing logistical support for rangers out on the field, although his achy back would probably keep him off the field himself

AHH THANK YOU!! i have written some things but i don't have anything published -- to be honest, i'm not much of a fic writer. most of my writing is mostly just me talking through ideas/stories/cool character moments with friends, which is not a very shareable format unfortunately💔

i will say, talking about ideas with buddies gives me a shit load of ideas/motivation for drawing, and a lot of the stuff i've posted probably had that as an origin

On asgardian subcultures

Aka ive been thinking about this for months and youre all finally gonna hear about it

Obligatory disclaimer of im not an expert in any of this, ive mixed ideas from the movies comics and myths together so if thats not your thing im sorry, a ton of this is my own headcanons about asgard so ymmv, correct me if i get any facts wrong, this is an oversimplified look at asgard and how countercultures develop (theres no way I could cover everything), consider this post a jumping off point, etc. etc.

Subcultures Primer

Ok so, subcultures dont form in a vacuum. They tend to develop as a response to dominant cultures, and often aim to subvert the political and social norms of their time (see 70s punk, the us anti vietnam war movement that gave rise to hippies). They also tend to form in specific geographical locations, usually a city or county, and then spread further out (see the london 00s grime scene that spread through pirate radio stations before reaching mainstream success in the late 00s, 90s grunge forming in seattle and taking aesthetic cues from the clothes that were cheapest and most durable in seattle at the time). The other place alternative scenes tend to crop up is in music (see pretty much every subculture ive previously mentioned, plus goths, emos, mods, ravers, metalheads, northern soul, etc). This is not something I'll be covering about asgard because music history just isnt my area.

The only other thing i really need to mention here is the dilution of subcultures, aka the set aesthetics of a movement being co-opted by people outside that movement and diluting it's original message. While this is a real thing that eventually happens with all movements that have a set aesthetic, im not gonna touch on it here. Because quite honestly thats way too much worldbuilding for one post. You'd be asking me to invent like, all of asgard. In a tumblr post. Im not doing that.

Dominant Asgardian Culture

For asgard in specific, to figure out what the alternative scenes look like, you first have to figure out whats going on in the mainstream. Dominant asgardian culture (for me at least) brings to mind:

War and warrior culture, aka fight and die for asgard and be rewarded with eternal life in paradise, before fighting and dying again at the end of the world. Asgard doesnt have a huge military for nothing

Gold, and the wealth and political power it signifies. The fact that gold is concentrated in the palace at centre of the city is not an accident (gold actually has some really interesting chemical properties, including its inability to rust or degrade over time, it's many uses in scientific equipment, etc. Idk where else to put this, i just think it's really neat that gold doesnt rust, it's eternal, it makes total sense for asgardians to be obsessed with it)

A monarchy and rigid class system (see rigsthula/the high fantasy genre in general)

Extreme technological advancement, and a rise in scientific rationalism. In particular I feel that asgardians would look down upon the other realms, and consider themselves more sophisticated and rational, and less prone to superstition (of course this is merely a belief; how asgardians see themselves is not always reflected in reality).

A general sense of immortality and eternity. Lives stretching out unchanged for thousands of years. The preservation of youth from enchanted golden apples. It's all very reminiscent of an insect trapped in amber, or a city of immortal vampires

Aesthetically, this manifests as

sleek, shiny, very new looking tech, particularly in richer areas of the city. Think silicon valley or high concept supercars

art deco style architecture (whoever on the design team at marvel came up with that i am kissing you on the mouth it's fucking inspired)

gold armor/jewellery/ornamentation on buildings etc. primarily concentrated among the wealthiest citizens and districts

highly decorated buildings (specifically with very neat, clean lines and patterns, controlled curves, very mathematical and scientific designs, almost reminiscent of the art of the islamic golden age, also fucking inspired btw, seriously theres some great design choices in those early movies, like it was genius for the artists to pick architectural influences from great scientific ages throughout history and mix them with traditional viking age motifs and patterns, really great design work i feel like people dont talk about this enough)

The architecture of asgard itself also plays a role in the formation and maintenance of it's cultural norms. The palace is located in the centre of the city, centralising the wealth and power among those who live there, and leaving behind citizens who live further out from the centre.

The immediate areas around the palace would be home to asgards wealthiest families, as well as politicians/diplomats/ambassadors etc. Very wealthy landowners may have private lands here, which they use as gardens, vineyards, or for fancy rich people hobbies like foxhunting and horse riding. There would also be a high military presence in this area due to proximity to the palace.

The areas fairly near the centre would likely be relatively wealthy, and be home to a greater diversity of professions (engineers/doctors/etc). They're likely to contain big cities with big city amenities, such as music halls, universities, more niche and specialist shops, etc. These areas would be densely populated, with modern apartment complexes and a decent transit system.

Further out, more industrial areas would likely start appearing, with larger industrial cities forming particularly close to mountains and forests. More rural areas will start to crop up too, and will consist mostly of farmland and smaller towns.

The outermost edges of the city would likely be mostly port cities, with docks and large fishing communities (asgard is an island after all). Some of these cities would likely see some trade from fishing and beach tourism, but many may also be struggling financially. There may be some small islands off the coast in some areas, with their own small communities largely cut off from the mainland. Whaling would likely be fairly common here, alongside other forms of fishing.

In addition, the bifrost is the only way in and out of asgard, and is only open to a select few, meaning the vast majority of people living in asgard will never step foot outside it. Even some rich asgardians may never leave the realm once in their entire lives. This means that most of asgardian culture would develop mostly in isolation from the other realms, with very little cultural exchange outside of traders and extremely wealthy citizens.

Countercultures: Formation and Aesthetics

Rejection of technology and scientific thinking in favour of the supernatural/wisdom of old/outright cults (see 19th century gothic literature as a reaction to the industrial revolution). Would be expressed as returning to old technology (anything from drop spindles to whatever the asgardian equivalent of cassette tapes is). Potentially this could also give rise to pseudoscientific thinking as a backlash to scientific reasoning. Things like contacting the norns to have them read your fortune, or having your consciousness travel through the branches of yggdrasil, would be fairly common. I can imagine there would be a fair few grifters claiming they can "realign your spirit with the branches of the world tree. For a small fee of course".

Whilst subcultures can form anywhere there's people, they most often tend to form in places with dissatisfaction with cultural and political norms. In asgard, these would be places with little influence over the crown, aka areas far away from the palace that may also be struggling financially. These countercultures could manifest from a variety of things, including:

Anti war and warrior culture. It's likely that, during its long and storied history of wars with the other realms, asgard would have had at least one anti war movement. I reckon it would spring up during a particularly long war that funnelled resources meant for poorer towns on the outskirts of the city, decimating the economy and potentially even creating food shortages. The main focus of the movement would be class related, but may have some more general hippy style anti violence sub-movements.

Rejection of the promise of eternal life in valhalla and by extension a permanent state of self, with a focus on natural processes of death and the cycles of life (i can see so many weird teenagers being told that they'll be feasting in valhalla forever with their high school bullies, and i doubt that would go down well with them, like "fuck that i would rather literally rot in hel than see any of you ever again"). Aesthetically it would include rotting fruit, the life cycles of animals (particularly insects, which violently change forms throughout almost every stage of life), animal and human skeletons, mushrooms growing from dead and rotted trees, scavenging animals that eat corpses, etc. More hardcore members of the scene may develop a fascination with transformation of the self, and use seiđr to alter their bodies (think extreme body mods but with magic).

The sea!! Asgard is an island!! Theres no way they havent tried exploring the oceans surrounding the entire realm. Fear of and fascination with the unknown, combined with proximity to the ocean, would very likely result in a deep love and appreciation of deep sea life, and much speculation of what creatures and monsters might be lurking just out of sight. Almost certainly a couple of small cults will spring up worshipping some ancient sea monster that definitely exists for sure i saw it with my own eyes it was thiiiis big.

Rust. Any asgardian subculture worth its salt is going to reject gold and everything it represents. Rusting discoloured metals with thick patinas and flaking paint will likely crop up alongside every other point in this list.

Anyway this is all a very long winded way of saying that, by asgardian standards, loki isnt actually a goth he's a poser. He's a rich kid that buys £150 'goth style' clothes from ye olde asgardian punk rave but hasnt heard of bauhaus. He doesnt even care about rust.

hi and welcome to the blog i made to document my search for this random series of friday night funkin mods i found one night!!! im looking for two (or possibly more) mods featuring a character named loreley. the first one is a reskin for girlfriend, and the second one is either a full week, or a reskin of smoke em out struggle (vs garcello). ive been posting about her on my twitter but i decided to make a sideblog dedicated to her so i dont spam the people who followed me for funny art with her. most of what i have is explained but ill put another explanation and description under the cut for people using screenreaders. please let me know if you have anything!!!

loreley is a green-skinned plant girl in one of those sweaters with a boob window, and she's got that thing that a lot of friday night funkin women have where her vagina bones (???) are showing through her clothes.

her voice is remembered as sounding very crusty and digital, which my friend theorized is because her creator used utau for her voice instead of fl studio and traditional chromatics. our best guess is that she's voiced by defoko (uta utane).

she's most likely from 2021 due to following the trends of the time, such as the character becoming scarier or angrier as the week continues. the second mod featuring her also ran on kade engine instead of any modern engines.

her animation was very amatuerish and janky, most likely done by overlaying sprites over an existing spritesheet in order to replace the art. she wasn't even properly animated, being a single drawing for each pose that squashed and stretched vertically.

i often see it mentioned how for transfems estrogen increases happiness obviously, and also how it is easier to cry. these make sense, and i am definitely feeling those. however, something i dont see mentioned nearly as much is how it increases other emotions and feelings as well.

i feel more enjoyment in things. i have found multiple shows and games to be "one of the best i have watched/played in my life", which used to be a much more rare occurrence. along with this, i also laugh more. i find myself laughing out loud so much more than i used to, even if its something ive found funny before (i cant watch snapcube videos when my parents are asleep because i always laugh too loud lmao).

i feel more passionate about things. when a character i care about was revealed to be canonically queer, i literally cheered out loud, something i never actually did before. i also decided to make a source mod, and actually started by installing blender addons to allow for exporting those models, and started learning the source sdk and hammer, rather than just wanting to do something and not doing anything until i just forgot like i have done many times before.

i feel more pride. like queer pride obviously, but in this i mean being proud of myself. when i drew that little cat that i used for my little talking dude on streams, i was like "heh, thats a funny little guy (neutral)", but didnt really care about it because i felt it was bad, but when i drew what is now my pfp, which is basically the same drawing but its my fursona rather than my warriors oc, i felt so happy with it, even if it looks like it could be drawn by an 8 year old. it was something i made myself in a medium that i am very inexperienced in, and i feel more pride over that than really anything else i have made myself in my life. i am working on making a 3d version of the drawing, and it looks terrible and very simple, but its my first time ever trying 3d modeling, and i am very proud of my minimal progress.

i feel so much more confident in myself than i ever have. i have been posting pictures of my boobs online. i wore a crop top in public for the first time. im actually making progress on voice training rather than giving up like two days in because of thinking i sound like shit.

all of this is only three months into taking it. hrt is such a wonderful thing. i hope everyone who wants/needs it is able to get it, it has literally saved my life and i hope it can save more.

do you have any tips on how to live off as artist professionally?

First of all art isn't always a viable option depending where you live. The only reason ive been able to live off art is because the american dollar is worth 5x more than the brazilian real so even if i didn't get many comms i could still get by with the few i had. and if that wasn't the case I'd pretty much be eating breadcrumbs off the floor like a pigeon.

1. Whore yourself out and draw fanart of every popular or trending thing to gather attention to youe art

2. Learn your platforms: learn how each websites algorithm works, learn what are the best hours to post, etc

3. I cannot stress enough how important it is to find your niche

4. Everyone is fake no one wants to be your friend, other popular artists will start following you the moment your following becomes good enough. They'll start to interact with you too and want to become mutuals in order to share followings/traction. If you can play into that you can get them to share your stuff as well, but honestly don't fall for it bc most of them shittalk other artists on their privs or personal servers and the stress isnt worth it

5. Draw nsfw if possible/if you're comfortable with. People who commission porn pay well and they often have very few options when commissioning stuff bc most artists don't accept porn commissions.

6. Accept being an artist is a hard job that doesn't pay really well. If you're freelancing on comms life's always going to be a tightrope, so i suggest trying to do professional work once in a while so you can at least have the security of a salary. Draw backgrounds, gestures, scenes, studies, and the likes, bc those are what companies will want in your portfolio

7. Depending where you live it's extremely hard to live off as an artist, and being an artist is often means a very difficult struggle with finances. It's a job that requires passion, and more often than not turning art in a job causes creative burnout and complete loss of spark for it. Ask yourself: why do you want to be a professional artist? Isn't it better to keep it as a hobby? Maybe a side gig if you need money? You can still pursue art even if you don't do it to earn money, and it doesn't make you any less of an artist. It's a difficult job, and you need to understand its not going to be viable at all times and sometimes you'll have to throw in the towel and do something else to survive and there's 0 shame in that.

8. Be professional and courteous with your clients. Don't be a doormat, but don't go around ghosting people or being passive aggressive or taking them for granted and never deliver any product. Doing art for money is a JOB. Treat it like such. Inform your clients about delays, or any issues that may come up.

9. Take care of yourself and by that i mean eat decent food, exercise your arms, get 8 hours of sleep and get some sun (or take vitamin D periodically if youre a basement dweller). This isn't some self care uwu shit, it's actual science that your body is a machine and not providing what it needs to function leads to issues, and some of those issues include affecting your mental health, and mental health issues include and are not limited to: anxiety, depression, burnout, loneliness, feeling like your art sucks, feeling unmotivated, feeling like you're a failure, etc. Same with physical: for the love of GOD you DON'T want wrist issues. You dont want carpal or ulnar nerve entrapment. Don't draw 24/7. Don't push yourself either. If youre feeling shitty its time to STOP. Just picture a shitty graphics card trying to run minecraft with 5 shaders and 10 mods at once on fullscreen with 60 fps. Thats you. Youre the graphics card

10. Don't be a bitch, don't get involved with drama. Can't be an internet artist if you get cancelled so don't try to start shit at any point in time. Don't be a shit person.

Not a vent’ asking a question. Out of genuine curiosity do you actually like Terraliens as a species? A majority of CS vent blogs seemingly want the species to die or fail as an end result.

Isn’t the whole point of vent blogs to give people a space to actively point out problems to make the community better as a whole. Reblog to make it die faster or run out of the community feels conflicting to what the blog is actually supposed to achieve. Do you want it to get better? It seems like you do. Or are you actually hoping it gets worse to increase engagement.

this is a loaded question for me at the moment haha

personally, ive been in terras since april 2023, so basically since the start. ive seen every controversy pretty much first hand, was an avid reader of the terra blogs previous to mine, and terras was the first species i put my whole heart in and tried to interact with the community in. initially i really wanted the species to get better, when they had the suggestion threads i was an avid poster

then over and over again mods just kept failing in the simplest of ways. this blog was made february of 2024, a few months after the first psa and ownership change. i still thought terras could be good but there were just too many blockers, esp from coy and civ after learning some behind the scenes info from the psa

then the Reckoning came and i hoped it really would go down, if only that meant making the species totally open

when tycho became owner i really was hopeful considering the facts that previous mods completely disavowed vent blogs like mine, but shortly before he became owner tycho reached out to ask my thoughts on stuff around the species (you can see that in my post about The Reckoning), when the species fell in his lap i honestly thought there was going to be big change. for a while there was, like new assets in the item channels, feedback forms, etc. but then there were also the nagging issues that never went away from before, like hiring friends for staff, weird unspoken rules, and a horrible approval process

for the past few days ive been thinking, man this really doesnt seem like its worth it. the same issues are starting to pop up again, and the mods currently just twist and turn making up their justifications for moving the goalpost. i dont like a lot of the new designs, dont really have any myos i want to make, and im not pulled in by the new events.

my end goal initially when making this blog was that i wanted terras to get better and make the easy changes everyone wanted, but now i think the better course of action would be for it to die. make it an open species and just let people run with it, because over the 2 and a half years of this species there has never once been such an attitude of unity and happiness among terra community than on that one night in april where the species WAS open.

honestly? im days away from voiding all my terras and fucking all the way off (ill still stay in the server though, i couldnt imagine anyone else running this blog and i think its become a necessary place for everyone. i imagine there would be at least some outcry if i were to shut it down, lol). once i finish my current obligations, im trading all my shit. its exhausting to have been doing this back and forth for improvement for over 2 years now, and its just so much more effort than its worth when i could be putting my whole heart into other up-and-coming projects. it hurts when a thing you really loved and found happiness in just has too many glaring issues to ignore

i think its a bad look when most of your oldest members who have been there since near day 1 decide this shit isnt worth it anymore and want to be done with it. its a bad look when someone who cared so much to make full essays about this species on an entire blog dedicated to it decides that its just not worth trying to "fix" anymore.

and i kind of hope a lot of other members come to that same conclusion and cause it to die.

Personally I feel it's a bit underhanded to decide to conquest halfway through a profit push when another flight is conquesting. This goes for Earth & Water.

Plague's Dom and discord mod team were very insistent on reminding members to keep salt out of the fourms. And that was successful for the most part! I am not proud of the very very few did not listen, and literally the only reason screenshots were submitted was to stir up drama. Like. They were keeping it civil while airing their grievances lmao?? Is that not allowed?? Are people not allowed to have negative emotions??

Most everyone in the screenshots are annoyed not "butthurt crybabies" or whatever the fuck the original post said. They expressed their annoyance and moved on. There is more salt about Water deciding to Conquest rather than Earth, because Water decided to do so after there was already an impromptu battle and many felt that this was completely undermining the point of even having a Dom Watch thread in the first place. If the order had been flipped there would be an appropriate amount of salt direct towards Earth

Not only this but rather than have a discussion like people capable of rubbing two fucking braincells together I am seeing nothing but people thinking only one side is in the right?? I am well aware my stance is biased but each side seems to be attempting to vilify the other here and frankly I'm more upset at most people on this fucking blog than I ever could be at Water or Earth. Like. Get a grip!! Talk like adults or don't talk at all!! Literally every complaint in the discord was turned around to positive thinking towards Plague's own Dom efforts in like 5 minutes. Given how fast that channel goes in general the salt is taking up an extremely small amount, the topic just gets repeated as people in different time zones wake up and, like everyone else, air out their grievances. pffft yeah okay. but i warn, it's not as fun as it sounds. so. tw for an abusive marriage/relationship.

story time.

so those who follow me currently probably know me primarlily for being one of three people crazy over wishshipping or joey wheeler in general in the yugioh fandom. particularly writing a good 80+ chapter long fic.

however. this was not my first fic. my first fic... was for in space with markiplier.

for those who dont know, markiplier (yes, the youtuber) actually has his own series of (mostly) choose your own adventure videos. and theyre all connected. his last series of videos was split into two massive parts, and he did this q&a after it was all said and done and someone asked if he'd ever do a part 3.

he said, "no, that's up to one of you guys to write."

well after 3 days of obsessively checking ao3 no one had taken up that challenge and even though i had never written a piece of fiction in my life the hyperfixation was so strong i sat down and started writing.

and dear god something came over me. i had 8 chapters written in the span of a day.

for a while, id post two chapters a day. which is...insane. like why the fuck did i do that? but eventually i managed to narrow it down to one chapter a day (which i know is still insane and for some fucking reason is what i currently do when in my writing fits.)

being this manic long fic writer that came out of no where i started to get some attention. memes were made in support of my story. people were talking about it. hell, i started to make friends, really a first for me in fandom space. someone made a joke about making a discord server. i asked if that was a legitimate interest to anyone and i got an overwhelming yes from several people so, i made one.

my husband at the time, found out i was doing something different in my off time. i'd put the baby to bed and go to my computer and start writing. i was laughing a lot more and checking my phone a lot (for fic comments, a habit i still have while in my posting fits). finally he confronted me.

"What is it you're doing on your phone all the time?"

"I.... wrote a fanfic. I get a lot of comments."

"Is it a smut?"

annoyed, I confessed that yes, there were a few smut chapters. He asked if he could read it. I gave him the link.

he was deeply disturbed by the smut. (He didn't even read the rest of it. like....the actual story I was writing.) the smut? I mean dude you could go look at it but I mean it's pretty vanilla sex between two consenting fictional adults, but whatever. I knew he wouldn't like it. at this point in our marriage he had already stated everything I liked was annoying.

anyway. when he found out I had made friends... he got really upset. he didn't want me to have other "influences tainting my mind." i shot him back with the fact he has friends online, so why couldn't i? he didn't like it, but he warned me to be careful.

then i met sitch.

those of you who know me are nodding their head. ah, yes sitch. those who have stumbled upon this rambling probably can tell this is where the story takes a turn because i know how to set things up. by god ive written like 160 chapters of fanfiction at this point.

anywho. this guy comments on my fic and asks permission to make fanart for it. this was so fucking wild to me. fanart? for MY fic? like who would have thought. i reply enthusiastically with a yes and tell him im on tumblr so please tag me so i can see it. a few days pass and i get a dm. it's the same guy. he's made the fanart. i love it. we chat a little about the fic. about in space. about music. slowly it starts creeping into talking about life. about anything, everything. it was kinda wild how i had met someone and felt like ive known him forever. this of course, is sitch. when the discord thing came up, i decided to ask him for help, because i literally didnt even have a discord at the time.

sitch helps me with the discord. we find some mods. we open the floodgates. swear to god about 40-50 people come in. some are more chatty than others. we all chat like good friends. i update the fic daily. we all find out we relate to each other a lot. we have movie nights and game nights. i continue writing the fic, even getting help from sitch at this point. he's become sort of my beta reader. (and now he's my editor thank god the yujou means friendship people have no idea how blessed they are)

i realize. fuck. these people...really relate to me. like me even. and i like them.

and sitch....sitch in particular...i really like.

i am in deep shit.

at this point, my husband is making it well known how much he disapproves how im spending my time. not that... he wanted to spend time with me though? he locked himself in his office and would play his own games. what he didnt like is i had found people that i relate to. that i could talk to. meanwhile i was reaching the point i was afraid to say literally anything around him.

at this point, he started teasing me about "having a crush on markiplier" and he would "joke" about me leaving him for markiplier or some shit. He started arguing with me about sexuality and gender out of no where, knowing what my stance was on it.

I don't really want to get into what my breaking point was.

A few weeks went by. I started to confide in my friends, and I started to confide in Sitch. One night, my brain came up with some logic that if I told him about the feelings I was developing (because they were only growing) he would reject me and we'd laugh it off.

Unfortunately it wasn't so simple.

For a week we were in this odd stalemate. Living in different countries but talking constantly. Having essentially an emotional affair, but knowing there was nothing really to do. I had no belief that I could make it on my own, and I knew I would get a lot of backlash from my family if I were to leave my husband. The weekend came and my husband got it out of me. I had feelings for one of my online friends. And I had confessed it to him.

My husband took my laptop and went through the messages. All of them. i fled to my parents house and tried to warn sitch that he had my laptop.

The next day, my husband convinced me I needed to delete everything. The discord server. My Tumblr. Even the fic. He essentially convinced me I was at an all time low of horribleness, and I believed him.

A week later I couldn't take it anymore. I missed my friends. Id sadly felt more loved by them than anyone around me. Which yeah, is pretty damn pathetic. I left my husband, and found my friends had already made a new discord, waiting for me. They had downloaded the fic, which I slowly re-uploaded and eventually finished. And sitch and I slowly built our relationship, have now met in person, and we're hoping he's able to move down here soon.

So yeah. I wrote a Markiplier fanfic and it led to me getting a divorce. Which honestly, thank god. I don't want to think about what would have happened to me if I hadn't.

welcome to the monkietale blog! this is an undertale mod project that i'm (@98chao) working on.

this is a reskin and rewrite of the original undertale game by toby fox but with lego monkie kid characters instead!

here i'll post updates on progress, like showing sprites/animations and video demos and such. when it's 100% finished, i'm going to release a full gameplay video of the mod.

i'll probably post misc doodles as well and answer questions. i accept ideas too, but just know certain things, like character roles i've already posted about, i don't plan on changing unless i think of something else. if you wanna ask a question about (or to) a character then feel free to :)

just a disclaimer: i'm not actively working on this project 24/7, there's gonna be times where there arent updates for a while. i have a lot on my plate in real life plus other projects i want to work on. so please excuse any inactivity ^^;

also, i started this all the way back in february! there are older posts ive made on my main that are pretty outdated, so just keep that in mind if you've already seen some of my posts before.
