also did your editing program fuck up during exporting in that video or is it a stylistic choice to have the green text + solid black screen for two seconds mid-footage lol

i wouldnt be surprised if i fucked something up during editing (i am very new to video editing in general) but im not seeing anything?? ive actually had a couple people ask me about it but im not seeing anything. i asked my friends to check in case and some of them saw it but some of them didnt. its probably some kinda bug on youtubes end idk

anon who asked about dialogue a bit ago here! just saw that update video and. yeah i honestly dont know what i expected lol. its the most stereotypical thing ever. shes still kinda charming tho <3 cant wait to find her phase 3 dialogue and watch her go creepypasta mode.

..also completely unrelated to anything- who is the girl you're using as background footage? i literally just realized its the same girl. this whole time i thought you were just using stereotypical 'anime girl backgrounds' from the first page of google lol

yeah i knew from the start we were dealing with pretty bog standard 2021 friday night funkin mod-isms lol. most of what makes loreley interesting to me is the mystery surrounding the mod itself, not really its contents

also, the girl in the background of my videos is mafuyu asahina from project sekai!! i needed something to put in the background so the videos weren't just text on a black background, and i had a bunch of pictures of her saved so i can use them as pfps and such. after the first video i went and made a whole folder of her cards and screenshots from the short animations so i had more to work with. she's my boo boo bear and i would die for her

it's hard to tell (because i'm stupid and dont know how coding works), but i think her dialogue just pulls from her default spritesheet. the sheet it tries to pull from has the same name, so i think they're the same

hello loreleyheads :^) i have BIG NEWS

yesterday i was sent what appears to be the file for loreley's stage background, which looks like this

this would be good enough to have on its own, but i noticed something in the bottom left

a watermark for someone named "nintendoguy333". assuming this mod was a one person effort, we might finally have the name of the guy who made loreley

problem is, i looked around and couldnt find any socials with the name "nintendoguy333". no twitter, no newgrounds, no gamebanana, nothing. the most i could find was a tumblr, but it seems to just be hanging onto the url and isn't active

they have their dms open so i asked them if they're the mod's creator, or if they're just a friend or fan who grabbed the url. no reply yet but i'll tell you if i get one.

on the topic of updates, i'm gonna be making another video soon going over loreley's dialogue files. i gave up on trying to shove kade engine dialogue in a psych engine shaped hole, so i'm just gonna try and recreate what it would have probably looked like in filmora. at least we have the background for it

finally got an editing software and figured out obs, hoping to make an official overview of the loreley situation that isnt just me filming my laptop with my phone :^)

also, ive had a couple different people come to me with bits and pieces of the mod. one person has her phase 2 sprites, and another has her dialogue files. still havent found anybody with the full mod saved
