alternate history where the only difference is that europe has an indigenous potato species. Like they're still in the Americas there's just one also in Europe somehow. y'know because people keep assuming that shit's Medieval Peasant Food™ when it really, really isn't

Notes:

a) no corn no tomatoes no chilis fuck you. just potato.

b) i'm gonna be real I can't even guarantee that shit would've been domesticated. seems like a waste when u think about how well potatoes in South America n shit have gone but. what if no one like him 💔

c) obviously this would cause other changes in world history but they would all stem from potato distribution ok. either directly related or butterfly effect style

d) i'm not interested in developing this beyond a shitpost tbh. i'm not a big alternate history geek most of the time (nothing wrong with the concept just not usually my thing) and i imagine the more eurocentric shit (which this decidedly is. like i wouldn't focus only on europe if i made this a thing but that's where the major changes would start. like that's kinda the whole concept) tends to attract Those Types Of Guys™. i don't really wanna attract the bitches who jack off to white power imperialism fantasies they're scumbags and also we have enough white power imperialism in real life
