A small timeline of Chou loops
#rat rambles#stars posting#new game+#this is just to visualize how damn long chou was stuck in the timeloop tumbler before they made their final wish#I don’t have an exact number but it was well over a decade#probably several#I’ll be charitable and assume if they so desired they could have sped the average complete loop up to like half a year instead of a full one#but even then that wouldn’t apply to their early days when they’d likely have to spend over a year per full loop counting deaths#and it took them like 4 or 5 full loops before they started reaching their uh oh phase#well fully I mean#if this was either siffrin they’d have fully lost their shit after the first victory but chou is alas a tough cookie#and by that I mean chou started off their loops as a far more stable and healthy person than either sif#not stable and healthy enough to yknow. tell anyone. but yknow.#to be fair they probably wanted to tell someone at first but they had been told that this was their burden to bare alone basically#like genuinely if they had been dropped in the loops with no exposition they probably would have fared so much better#because they Would have just told someone immediately and they probably would have found their way out eventually#but by being given a reason? a purpose? it lead to so much initial denial amd completely hid the lead of the actual problem#but yeah let it be known they were having a bad time since the start. especially since they started off with very few qol features#but this is actually smth I think the sifs would have been better equipt to handle initially since they would have been a much higher level#a big part of the reason the shopkeeper tagged along to begin with was that chou and the leader were. comically underqualified for this.#I imagine mira and isa were starting out at around level 10-15 and these two would have been like 1-8#the leader might have been like level 10 but chou was definitely like. level 3 or smth.#this is why chou starts out as almost a purely supportive unit because they sure as hell can’t do damage#well yknow. until they can. but hey that’s the joys of a new game plus feature
