I think it's pathetic how some Mobius's stans view Loki, I saw a old discussion on Twitter (ofc it was on Twitter) about the "I can't be the problem anymore" deleted scene and this person was saying they were relieved the scene was deleted bc they didn't like how Loki was rubbing on Mobius's face the fact the he once saw him as a problem

???

People seriously are tone deaf these days, a scene that was CLEARLY meant to be lighthearted and jokey about two characters that are ALWAYS bickering with each other is interpreted by some as Loki being resentful of Mobius somehow?

And ofc no one bats an eye at all the cruel things Mobius said and did to Loki in s1 bc "he didn't know the truth about the tva"

And how does that erase the pain he caused to Loki and never apologized for it???

And Loki making a joke about how Mobius saw him as a problem is a huge sin somehow???

Mobius is always ready to make jokes with Loki, he should be ready to receive the same treatment too, and reminding him that he treated Loki in a fucking shit-awful way in the begining of their relationship in a *lighthearted way* Is. Not. A. Fucking. Crime.

Mobius himself didn't seem bothered by that but ofc his insufferable annoying fans decided to feel personally attacked bc god forbid Loki jokes with Mr. Perfect Character Who Should Never Be Hold Accountable For All The Awful Shit He Did/Said To Loki

Honestly I feel like the "Loki" twitter fandom feels less and less friendly for Loki fans, it's infested with shippers who put their new fave above Loki at all times and starts fights with Loki stans bc they don't like to see how poorly he was treated by said faves, I wish both ships die eventually and the Loki fandom once again becomes about LOKI like it should always have been.

i have some very mixed feelings about this series so far, ofc i enjoy it and obviously i’m always happy to see my 118 blorbos

BUT

it just feels so… weird, slightly off? like something feels weird about it. some of them seem a little out of character, everything is too quick and plot points are brushed aside (side effect of the short season i guess), and most of all… it’s way too jokey

idk if it’s just me, but i find that even the more serious topics are just joked about or are more lighthearted than it feels like they should be?

- no aftermath of bathena on the cruise

- nothing more about chris’ worries re: shannon (what does he think about marisol moving in? seems like it would be a big deal after 7x01)

- eddie seemingly not caring about leaving buck out until he’s injured and talks about it with tommy?

- no apology after buck injuring eddie

- buck/tommy set up in about 10 mins of screentime with just the 2 of them

- like 5 minutes of screentime of eddie/marisol (that’s good though lol) but she was moving in

- eddie suddenly being so happy and carefree (which is nice but it seems like a switch was suddenly flipped which isn’t realistic)

- i’m sure other stuff i can’t think of right now…

i DID like that buck’s coming out scenes were a bit more lighthearted though, i think that was good for him to have maddie and eddie so chill about it

the writers have also just added in a bunch of character stuff, like eddie’s interests, with literally no previous canon mention? obviously information can be new, but maybe 1 or 2 things, not the entire list of activities that tommy and eddie did together even though none of it was ever suggested as part of eddie’s character?

i’m always gonna like the show but s7’s forced lightheartedness and rushed storylines and random one liners of information just make everyone feel, in MY opinion, not quite in character. we’ll see what happens in 7b, i’m hoping this doesn’t continue with how they handle chimney and maddie’s storyline :/

yeah, i agree with almost everything here (except for i don't think eddie ever really excluded buck and i do think pretty much everything he and tommy did together has been supported by past canon. but i just hate 7x04 with a passion lmao). the buddie coming out scene was absolutely flawless imo, the maddie/buck coming out scene would have been flawless if i hadn't been sitting there like. you're this upset that you lied to him when you just acted like THAT the episode prior?

but like, yeah, originally i sort of liked the lighthearted tone, but as the season continues, i'm upset that things aren't being approached with the care they deserve. the entire cruise arc was so good, but the last couple of episodes have just been. like. so disappointing. i get that they're working with a shortened season and probably things getting switched but i don't think that's an excuse

Day 16 - Motives

Zet - Since Zet was taken in by the Guild at a very young age, becoming a hunter was more of an inevitability than a choice. When the Guild noticed her tenacity and proficiency with weapons, they made sure to train her to become an asset to them. Though, back then she was more a tool than a hunter, with no personal stakes attached to the title. Nowadays, in the New World, Zet finally defined for herself what it meant to be a hunter, which is someone that faces monsters and calamities to ensure the safety of their home.

Mei - Mei’s not a hunter but a rider. Motive would probably be just legacy? She did grow up in a rider village so ofc she’d become a rider one day. And with her grandfather being a legendary rider, it was destined for her to become one too.

Chidori - Chidori actually didn’t want to be a hunter at first. She really enjoyed growing up in Kamura and just, well, being there, and as a kid she really didn’t have any aspirations of becoming a hunter. But watching young Utsushi train and get better, and just generally being very inspired by him, she decided she wanted to walk down that path as well, only if to fight alongside him as the protectors of Kamura.

Day 17 - Temperament

Zet - Zet would honestly not notice or care if someone had a problem with her. She’s the kinda blunt but socially unaware person that could say something very offending without even noticing. She isn’t really someone that would actively start a fight or diffuse one, but she’s also very firm in her beliefs and won’t budge even if someone opposes her.

Mei - Mei cannot handle confrontation at all. She keeps a lighthearted and jokey attitude throughout, just to keep the mood uplifted. If she faces genuine anger or anything similar, she’s prone to just deflecting and running off. She’d rather leave than face negative emotions.

Chidori - Depending on who it is, Chidori would either apologize profusely or hide away. Either way, she panics just a bit (read: a lot). While she’s not opposed to making her ire known, she can mostly only handle it in a non-serious way. She often whines and complains to Hinoa and Minoto about stuff, but when she’s faced with someone actively bothering her, she shuts up and tries to defuse the situation by giving in or hiding.

Day 18 - Happiness

Zet - Again, her new home is the one thing Zet truly has close to her heart. It’s the first thing she actively knows fills her with happiness and what she fights for. So, just seeing her family safe and sound puts her mind at ease.

Mei - Anything, really. Mei is the kind of person that instantly lights up when you gift her anything. A new weapon? Awesome! An expensive item? You shouldn’t have but thanks so much! A shiny rock? AMAZING!

Chidori - Any kind of sincere praise. I know I’ve been joking that Chidori is an awful hunter while everyone thinks she’s amazing and sings her praises, but if she knows she did a good job and that gets validated, she gets incredibly happy.

Day 19 - Aversion

Zet - Unnecessary complications and indecisiveness. If Zet is anything, it’s efficient. If there’s a mission to accomplish, she’ll do anything necessary for that to happen. And if that mission is just deciding on what to eat, even that gets resolved quickly. So, if she finds herself waiting or hindered because someone or something caused a hold back, she does notice herself growing impatient.

Mei - Conflict. Mei cannot understand why people always have to fight each other, so it greatly upsets her when ppl have an argument. She also does not like diceitful people.

Chidori - As much as she loves her Master, the one thing Chidori will never like is his surprise training sessions. To make sure Chidori is always alert and ready, Utsushi, during their intensive training years, would randomly call out “the hunt is on!” at any point, and Chidori would have to be ready for him to jump out the shadows and attack her with a bamboo stick. Even at 3am in the morning. She still gets shivers remembering that time

Day 20 - Trauma

Imma just do this in one go, cos really, in this trio, Zet is the only one with legit trauma. Yeah, Mei and Chidori had some instances in their past that did shape who they are, but I wouldn’t call them scarred because of those moments. Zet, on the other hand, went through hell and back on numerous occasions, and she has visible scars to show for it. This poor gal was on death’s door more often than not, and had to face numerous Elder Dragons and Fatalis to boot. And she doesn’t even know what’s gonna happen to her after the events of Iceborne. Hooh boy, let’s just say, she took the idiom “sth costs an arm and a leg” a bit too literally.

Day 21 - Fear

Zet - She may not be aware of it, but Zet is afraid of reverting back to the way she was before the New World. She now has dreams and desires, goals she wants to achieve and connections she wants to cherish. She’s scared that leaving that life behind would mean she’d lose her new self as well and all the emotions with it.

Mei - Mei is afraid of expectations. The people of Mahana are her family and she loves them dearly, but there were always these underlying expectations since she was the granddaughter of a legendary rider. And through her journey, everyone was always talking about him and how she has to be like Red. It’s such a high order, but she loves Ratha so she’d do anything to reach that goal, but still, she sometimes felt like noone saw her as her own person which made her scared that all the love she felt for others wasn’t reciprocated.

Chidori - What isn’t she afraid of? She’s jumpy as all heck! Joking aside, if there’s anything Chidori is legitimately afraid of, it’s probably change. Things moved fast when she was just a little kid, so being taken in by Kamura and establishing a life there made her feel secure, but also made her scared for things to change. She did face that fear when she went off to the Guild for basic hunter training, and she would face that fear again when she decided to help out Elgado, but these decisions were backed with the thought that she can protect Kamura like this and eventually return home safely.

Day 22 - Spirituality

Zet - Zet doesn’t believe in any higher beings, she’s too logical thinking for that, but she does believe that nature and its monster have their own system and hierarchy and that everything balances itself out in some way.

Mei - I don’t think Mahana worships any specific deity, but I’d say their folk believes in the spirit of nature. Similar to how Zet thinks, but more on a soul-level, as in, if riders and humans can connect their spirits, then so can everyone.

Chidori - Chidori is spiritual by proxy, I’d say, since she spends a lot of time with Hinoa and Minoto, and next to quest handlers, they’re shrine maidens. I can see Kamura in general having a guardian deity or sth similar. So like, Chidori isn’t super religious, but she does participate in religious events and festivals and goes to make offerings at their shrines sometimes.

Day 23 - First Impressions

Zet - I wouldn’t say the first impression is bad, but it ain’t peachy either. Zet is stern and quiet and comes off really cold and unfriendly at first. Since she replies bluntly she could be seen as a bit offensive as well. It’s not totally accurate since she does not intend to insult anyone or be disrespectful, but she IS kinda muted and not very playful.

Mei - Mei is a “you get what you see” kinda deal, which, in her case, is amazing. She’s bubbly, she’s smiley and being around her just puts you in a good mood. You will feel liked and you can bet that you are.

Chidori - Oh boy, with Chidori the first impression could not be further from the truth. For some reason, Chidori gives off a very professional and competent kinda vibe because her stature is firm and gaze intent when you first talk to her. In truth though, she’s super nervous and high strung cos her instinct is to run and hide.

HoF: human warrior who is a Cousland (she is adopted, so she was concerned for her brothers survival) . Ofc the events of her origin traumatize her. She’s out for revenge but eventually pulled away from a totally vengeful path by her new ‘family’. Romanced Alistair and they rule together. So personality wise she tries to be jokey and lighthearted but if someone is wronged, she freaks out and her temper is hard to control. Usually very kind, canonically gives her money easily to help people.

This HoF is like mine!! I love how kind they are! Mine doesn’t have a bad temper but she can be upset

Getting more in depth with the relationships between Avery and Nicki and Evelyn! Thanks @duck-n-clover​

Nicki and Avery are good friends, though kind of on the casual side. They definitely enjoy each other’s company and they have for a while. (I still haven’t decided how I want them to meet, but it would’ve been a while ago,, might even say as far back as high school? But.. Not Official yet.) They’re both pretty peppy and upbeat most of the time. Nicki’s definitely more so, but they work well together. A lot of their talk together tends to be casual,, just lighter, fun topics, but they definitely have their deeper moments!

Avery and Evelyn are both Andre’s friends,, not as much friend’s with each other. They definitely get along, they care about each other because the people they care about also care about them,,, and I don’t picture them having major negative feelings for each other! They do have a few things,, though. The most prominent is, Avery is a little worried that Evelyn might get Andre back into bad situations? Bc Ev was his friend at the time when he was very into drug and alcohol use and she still uses casually and drinks with him,,, but I won’t get into that one Too Much. (I mean that seems like a big negative thing when I say it like that,, but honestly it’s just a minor worry for Avery. They know it wouldn’t be Evelyn’s fault, she obviously cares for him too, and Andre’s a grown adult that can make his own decisions. Over time it’s even less of a worry, so. Eh.)

But besides that, I see them as having, a sort of, minor rivalry?? Like! It’s lighthearted and jokey,, but I still haven’t worked out how far that really goes. Since a lot of their ties together are either because of Andre or Nicki,, it’s usually something abt receiving attention from one of them. Like,, Andre and Avery interact a lot just because they live in the same apartment building and Evelyn Doesn’t,, so they’ll sometimes be like, Andre loves me more bc he’s always at my apartment and we gossip an have a gr8 time! uwu While Evelyn’s like nu-uh he loves me more bc we go out together, ur just more Convenient,, clearly i’m the Best Friend. uwu

AGain it’s just not all that serious no one’s tryin to hurt A Feeling, neither one cares but like,,, they don’t have much else besides that, honestly. Their personalities clash a bit when they get too serious; Avery finds Ev to be kinda Too Negative sometimes, while Evelyn kinda sees Avery as being a lil Fake with the positivity. They’re both willing to put up with it for a while, ofc,, even if it's just for the sake of the others. (And I mean,, Evelyn likes Nicki’s peppiness and Avery definitely puts up with Andre’s negativity so it’s not like, that’s the only reason they don’t really get along or it couldn’t work some how.. But in general they just, weren’t ever really proper Friend Material despite it all. They’re okay with that.) Overall,, they can definitely get along and don’t mind the occasional hang out, but if it wasn’t for Andre and/or Nicki, they probably wouldn’t care for each other all that much.
