Infant Resize Preset

Are you sick of using demon toddlers? Do you want newborns that actually LOOK like newborns? Well you came to the right place cause one night I had a midnight thought that I turned into a reality and it was to make those toddler resize presets but for INFANTS!

The proportions look so much more newborn-like, eh? I tried my best to use real newborn references for an accurate scale!

DISCLAIMER: THIS PRESET IS FOR POSE USE ONLY. It kind of works with gameplay, but it doesn't give you any new gameplay features for newborns. They will act like infants

HOW TO USE?

STEP 1: Equip preset in CAS

The preview looks like this! And is located under body presets!

-Note that you CANNOT go back to a regular size infant without defaulting their genetic body type. So I recommend making a CAS backup just for the infant!

STEP 2: Get you some poses that work with this preset! (I have a launch day list at the bottom of this post!!)

-Resized toddler poses WILL NOT work with this preset.

-Regular sized Infant poses will work with the preset, but it may require T.O.O.L to fix the positioning.

STEP 3: Pose as normal!! If you're having trouble with positioning, see the known issues section of this post!

POSEMAKER'S GUIDE

To make poses using this preset, you must use the special rig provided in the download section of this post! It's exactly like posing with resized toddlers.

-You must NEVER use the reset rig button. That defaults the rig to regular infant size. To undo changes please use alt + R and alt + G

KNOWN ISSUES

Infants are notoriously glitchy and for some reason when they're small sized, they act just a little bit crazier.

I HIGHLY RECCOMEND YOU DOWNLOAD T.O.O.L TO HELP SOLVE THESE ISSUES.

-If your teleporter is throwing last exceptions, your small infants may become misaligned with their caregiver's. This is easily fixable with T.O.O.L.

-When posing on an incline, the infants WILL MOVE OUT OF PLACE. These kinds of misalignments can't be fixed with T.O.O.L. I recommend only posing on flat terrain.

-This is not an issue, but more of a suggestion. If you're posing with some kind of bed, these babes are tiny and hard to click on. I recommend downloading a camera mod such as this one to get down low under the beds.

hey! I'm a beginner fan, how can I dive deeper into the community? And get to know more stuff and more skaters?

Hi there, welcome to figure skating fandom! :) The best way to get into skating is to watch more skating! If you follow our blog you're already partway there, because we post info on how to watch skating competitions throughout the season.

Our website also has several guides on the competitions that make up a skating season, how the scoring system works, etc. If you're interested in diving deeper into that, check out our website!

Fandom spaces: There are a lot of figure skating fan communities, including r/FigureSkating on Reddit, and the forums Goldenskate and FSUniverse, which have been around for a long time. (Goldenskate is bigger and has more active users.) You will be able to find many other fans there who discuss skaters and competitions. There are also skating fans right here on Tumblr, though it's a smaller community than it used to be.

Getting more familiar with skaters: Besides watching upcoming competitions, you can also watch some older competitions on Youtube. Unfortunately, due to copyright restrictions, skating videos are harder to find nowadays, but Youtube still has a fair amount. You can try searching up specific skaters' names. If you have access to the Skating ISU Youtube channel (or use a VPN to unblock it), you can find a lot of competitions from recent seasons there. For example, watching some of the World Championships from the last few seasons will familiarize you with the current field.

News and other resources: AnythingGOEs posts almost all relevant skating news you want to know about. SkatingScores has an amazing database of scores from years of competitions! It's an extremely helpful resource to look up competition results and stats.

If you are able to, we encourage you to go to a live skating event someday! We recommend it to all fans if possible, because watching skating live is a really great experience and you can notice different things that you don't see on video.

Feel free to drop more recs for newbie fans! Podcasts, Youtube channels, your favorite programs, etc...

A couple days ago I saw this theory on Reddit about the Village being some sort of the Purgatory (I know, I know, most of us would hate that plot twist 🥲)

BUT! I remembered I have some screenshots from my most recent replay that seem to add support to the idea that there's a certain cycle happening in the village. So I posted them on reddit myself and decided to share here as well

Three different characters mention that there's a cycle (or a wheel, a circle which is also an icon of the Ties stat and the Three Sisters' birthmarks) where everything repeats itself and it's hinted it's impossible to escape from it (the Koschei tells Lada that she's not the first and not the last: there were and there will be others like her)

I've already posted some theories here that this cycle could be happening every 18 years when a human sacrifice is needed to banish the attacking koscheis back to the Haze and save the village. But what if the real reason they're performing those sacrifices is their hope that a right sacrifice of the Chosen One will break them from this cycle of possible rebirths?

If this village isn't entirely real or at least their reality is different from ours, that could explain some historic inaccuracies or straight-up scientific mistakes. Like, paper, glass windows, kerosene lamps in (supposedly) early Medieval Eastern Europe. Or the fact that they all somehow not dying from vitamin D deficiency in a village that gets little to no sunlight. Or the fact that people in this tiny village that's been cut off from the rest of the world for centuries aren't all closely related. What if those things aren't the writer breaking all possible rules of world building but actually they're pointing to the idea that things aren't what they seem in that village and their reality might not be fully real?

Also does anybody else think that the story of Tata suddenly appearing in that old woman's house as a baby with no parents sounds a lot like... a game character spawning in a game? Like, she just appeared there... And I don't really believe that a local woman could get away with concealing her pregnancy for 9 months, going into labor, then discreetly planting her newborn in someone's house and successfully escaping. So either Tata's mother is someone supernatural or she's a gift from the gods or she's like a "glitch in the Matrix" 👀

So basically I think our Lada is the Chosen One who on High Ties will "break the wheel" (yep, I'm making a reference to Daenerys — which is fitting since koscheis are obviously inspired by White Walkers from GOT 😅) and free the people of the village from this cycle

Why in the world are you sorry you interact with me at any volume? THE MORE THE BETTER. I wouldn't be posting gigantic essays on Tumblr if I wasn't trying to send up a beacon for someone to please, please interact with me.

Since you're Mingi oriented and I'm just getting started on Mingi, here are some blurted thoughts.

Mingi's sound: Mingi's general rap style is what's described as 호통, which yelling at a high volume with the intention of telling someone off. I don't generally enjoy this sound. However, I've realized that though he sounds initially like he's hollering, his voice is actually much more expressive and plaintive than that. Part of this comes from me just not knowing how to 'hear' rap. Music may be innate to the human soul, but I know from experience that in order to get the most out of a specific art form, you actually need to learn what to pay attention to. The more I listen for what Mingi may be trying to do within the 'worlds' created by Eden-ary's songs, the more I think he might be the sonic and rap equivalent of Seonghwa when he does his narration-through-mime creations in his silent dance sequences.

The "role" that Mingi plays in a lot of the songs is to be like, the subconscious to HongJoong's id, to express the emotional, heart-centered reaction to HongJoong's analytical, in-his-head perceptions and conclusions, and be the private no-holds-barred self that bursts through when enough is enough. And the other thing I'm thinking now, after more open minded and detailed observation, is that he's not actually shouting much of the time. He's just really big, and his voice is big. When he's actually shouting, you can tell that he's really shouting, but he isn't always shouting, you know? He just uhhh has a lot of testosterone, is all.

Mingi's dance: Ateez members have talked about how when Wooyoung first joined (and he joined last) Mingi found him very threatening, as a dancer. They had 'similar' styles, allegedly, that observers at the time all agreed on. I found this very strange because since I only found them in the Ice On My Teeth era, I just hadn't seen any similarity at all between Mingi and Wooyoung. I actually had wondered at how little the members seemed to have in common. At first glance, Mingi should not be in the same group, sonically nor visually, as Jongho, and what Yunho does just doesn't seem to go with how Wooyoung runs his on stage persona and they also don't look like they should be standing next to each other, and so on. If I had to find similiarity between Wooyoung and Mingi's way of moving, it would've been that they're both very macho, very masculine, and are not doing the balletic and modern dance coloring that Seonghwa and especially San put on everything.

BUT THEN the whole, uh, Mingi in tight suit pants happened and I had an awakening like, HOLY SHIT HE DANCES REALLY SENSUALLY WHEN HE WANTS TO. And he's fast, like Wooyoung. And he is light and allegro and a jumper, like Wooyoung. He moves in boxes and lines, like Wooyoung, rather than in circles and curves like San and Yunho. (I hope I don't sound insane). And Mingi being this way as a dancer is arresting because he's physically very big, and generally big dancers are not light nor allegro.

... And now I've done it again. I did not mean to write this essay but here we are.
