i love seeing pathetic yearning vox as much as the next guy, but i think the radiostatic collective should also more often acknowledge how that’s not really… in the show. like. at all really.

yes, he keeps the photo. yes, he still mimics alastor’s mannerisms and habits. yes, he’s clearly obsessed.

but that's not some sort of romantic pining. he doesn't see alastor as his ex or his crush, he sees alastor as his biggest threat. and, like any good businessman, he wants that threat fucking eliminated asap.

remember what his reaction to alastor’s return was? not “alastor’s back and he didn’t tell me”, it was “alastor’s back, and he’s staying with lucifer’s daughter, and that wasn’t the first fucking thing you told me?”

and what was his first concern after stayed gone? it wasn’t that senpai didn’t notice him, it’s that they needed to stop alastor from making a deal and becoming even more dangerous. and then alastor made a deal. alastor, who was already strong enough to kill dozens of powerful overlords and single-handedly protect against an army of angels while handicapped, alastor, who clearly garnered either royal or celestial attention with the goal of clipping his wings, alastor, who almost beat him that time, is owed a favour from the princess of hell. that's a pretty fucking reasonable concern!

like. as much as we clown on vox for this moment, i’m certain some part of their little history is going to explain exactly why he froze like a tv in headlights, and i don’t think it’ll be his business proposal.
