True avoids confrontation and combat whenever possible, she doesn't like blood, danger, or the death of others. She fights with two crossbows from a distance, with tipped arrows on the piercing one, and rockets on the one with multi shot, reserved for emergencies. She keeps a shield with her, but prefers not to wear heavy armor unless visiting a war zone, where she prefers to role as a medic. Rather than that, she prefers espionage, where it's comparatively safe, in all its aspects except assassination, unless she can maintain a distance from the target where she can be safe and not see the gore, as well as the target is someone that won't set her counterpart over the edge into finally hunting her down. Over any of these, her preferred form of warfare is artillery and traps, anything dealing with redstone. She isn't a very good builder, but she's excellent at redstone. She's an inventor who prefers to stay In one place in contrast with her counter part's adventurous spirit. The two of them have a unique relationship among doubles. It's almost a rule that doubles with hate each other. Some, like Zed and Wormman will actually befriend each other. But False and True maintain a relationship of distant acquaintances who only ever interact if one needs something from the other. There is some mutual resentment that keeps them separated like this.

True envies False. Her bravery, her confidence, her social abilities. False made freind so easily, in comparison to True, who never could. She didn't befriend the Hermits before either of their meeting False, and she isn't very amicable with the Helsmits either. They're more like business partners, if anything. When her and False first met, following that telleportating experiment gone wrong that ripped False from the Hels dimension, True had been infatuated with this alternate her, a bladeswan who raged war against nearly an entire dimension with few allies and fewer friends by her side, who in a world of blood and violence had gained a reputation as THE Queen of Heads, Hearts, and Body Parts. Now she sells supplies, weapons, and information to the enemies her counterpart so desperately struggled against. True's experience with the Helsmits has shown her the rule that Helsmits are evil holds true nearly universally. Ex is destructive, Badtimes is sadistic, Hels is megalomaniacal. From what she knows of the Helsmits that changed sides, they may be mostly kind to their friends, but they have some trait lingering that makes them clearly evil aligned. Zed commits inhuman experiments without blinking, Cleo is a serial killer, Tango tends towards traitorous, and while Ren isn't outright a hels, he is a clone of the Renporer, and that was seen best when one of the other Rens became the Red King. But False is bloodthirsty at worst. She's so kind to people in general, unlike her selectively kind Helsmit kin. True asks herself daily why the main difference between herself and herself and her hels counterpart is that False is so courageous, while she herself is such a coward.

False sees it different. To her, True got to maintain her innocence, since everyday wasn't a struggle of survival. She never developed a tolerance for death because it wasn't neccessary to see another day. Her will hadn't been tested over and over just to not fall. She didn't see every connection made as a most vital resource, simply a commodity, since she didn't see her allies fall, defect, or dissapear one by one daily. Most importantly, she lacks that fatal pride that would have had her fight to her final breath against her entire world on that final battlefield, where only she remained. If it were anyone else who betrayed her to the helsmits, she would have ended them. But if it weren't for True breaking space and time, she would have died alone on that battlefield. She owes True her life, and it was False causing True's envy that led to the death of that innocence False found so admirable.

I am so, so sorry that I didn't notice this ask until now. This started amazing and only got better. There is so much here that I want to know more about...I would read a full fic of this in a heartbeat!
