Idea for isekai'd reader with yandere! Anaxagoras:

In his countless attempts to prove the theories of useless titans and the amount of unknown worlds behind Aquila’s shield, Anaxa accidentally made a poison - or some kind of artefact - that let him see another world. YOURS world.

Seems like for some reason his invitation - the window, not a portal - was invisible. And it sticks for one certain person. The drug of excitement blurred the scientist's mind and for a moment he made a false conjecture, thinking this person is probably a main lead of the current world, maybe some kind of politician or someone from another fraction but with the same amount of status. Hell, maybe this is a scientist too, and soon the connection would be mutual.

But critical points of view quickly get back, as most of the time all Anaxa sees was some.. basic, boring life. Friends, work, school.. As if he was looking not to another world but into the window, down on the streets with all these simpletons from Okhema. Maybe culture was different, but overall you were just.. well, a simple human.

Such a conclusion spoils the whole goal of his research, but Anaxa didn't give up, hoping to either expand the gap he made to this world, or find a receipt that will help him see other planets too. In a few first days he actually fulfills a few scrolls with all facts about your life, even the most intimate or basic one. But after he realizes the lack of power and need you possess in your world, he stops wasting paper and even gets irritated about the time he spends on such useless things.

He didn't drop this project though, sometimes checking on you. In some way, you become something like a pocket pet he didn't need to care for, only to watch and relax. And even though Anaxa cuts the time he spends watching you, it's become some kind of stress relief habit: peeking into your world just to see you're preparing for sleep, just as he does. Or dressing up to meet that stupid friend of yours - the sigh of your nude body didn't really bother this scholar that much.

Maybe he preferred to think that way.

Even for someone with as great brains as the Great Performer had, it was easy to overlook the trick his mind just did. Anaxa becomes attached. Eventually he couldn't fall asleep without watching how you brush your teeth and sprawl on your bed.

The gathered information now looked ridiculously scant. He knows when you lay down and when you actually drift to sleep after spending some time in your teleslate. But what about your breath, how it changes as your mind relaxes? How quickly your body becomes warm and soft in the embrace of dreams? Never a person laid in your bedroom, and for the first time Anaxa realized how pleased this thought always made him. But how would you act sharing a bed with someone? How would you act sharing a bed.. with him?

If before the amount of personal info he collected was useless, now it was his treasure he keeps expanding. Now Anaxa is not just observed, but peered into you and your body when you take a shower, undress, or even masturbate. He is thirsty to learn, to know every sliver of your life, especially things you show only to yourself.

Moreso, his questionable morality let him do more than just writing down things like that. With curiosity, arousal was also raised, and sometimes Anaxa let himself drift into intoxicating control of watching you like that. Masturbating to your naked body in the bath was good, but turning on his magic window and suddenly catching you pleasing yourself was more exciting than any successful poison or theory he made before. Not like he didn't turn his jerking off sessions into lessons too: learning your favourite rhythm, strength of thrusts.. Anaxa always adjusted to your speed to make it more realistic, as if he was just right here, with you, not only looking, but touching, feeling.

Titans and Chrysos Heirs can do anything they want atp: Anaxa is now absolutely devoted to finding a key to another problem. If it was possible to create a little window into your world, the door is also available and waits to be created and opened. As much as you’re just waiting for him, for the person who knows your habits better than anyone else and who would be an ideal boyfriend after analyzing the best way he should treat you.

You didn't know you were his subject, but now he will make sure to let you know how much of a lover you are to him.

Have you heard about the Polish Train company, Newag, and the bullshit it turns out they got up to?

So, the regional rail operator Koleje Dolnośląskie bought some Newag Impuls back in 2016 . In late 2021, some of them need to have major maintenance done, as they've been in service a while. So the company SPS (Serwis Pojazdów Szynowych) gets the contract to fix them. They basically take the train apart, replace a bunch of it, following all the rules in the documentation Newag gave them, and... it won't move. The train says everything is fine, the brakes are off, there's plenty of power, but you push the throttle up and it won't move.

SPS spends a while trying to figure out what the fuck is wrong, with no luck. So they hire some hackers from the Polish security group Dragon Sector. Dragon Sector figures out how to get into the code of the computer system that runs the train, and OH MY GOD.

So it turns out there's a secret train-lock system. If it's on, the train won't move. This will be triggered in some situations you might think are normal: the clocks are wrong, the serial numbers of the various parts have changed, and a firmware mismatch between the main computer and the power system. Now, the fact that it makes sense to not run the train in these situations until someone can check it? that doesn't extend to the fact the train uses a SECRET lock system, rather than just popping up an error message telling you what's wrong. There's also the problem that while these are all potential error problems, they can't be cleared by anyone with the technical manuals, which are supposed to cover everything about how to run these trains. Only Newag themselves can reset this system.

Which, you know, keeps SPS from properly fixing them. Only Newag can fix them now, but not because SPS lacks any technical ability, but because Newag sabotaged their own trains. But don't worry: it gets worse.

So now that Dragon Sector knows what's happening, they get to look at other trains. It turns out the trains aren't all running the same software, and there are other tricks in there.

One of them is a "how long has the train been stopped?" check. If the train hasn't hit 60 km/h in 10 days, the train locks itself and won't move until Newag can clear it. So, like, if a train is ever out of service, like it's going to a repair place... it'll break itself. Unless the repair place is owned by Newag.

But two of the trains go further: See, these trains have GPS built in, right? You may be able to guess where this is going...

THEY JUST MAKE THE TRAIN CHECK IF IT IS PARKED AT THEIR COMPETITORS' REPAIR YARD AND BREAK ITSELF IF IT WAS.

The sheer audacity of this move. This is frighteningly bullshit anti-competition self-sabotage.

This has, obviously, made some parts of the Polish government to start investigating this. Newag may be (and hopefully will be) in a lot of trouble.

Ars Technica also has an article on it, but it predates the presentation so it doesn't have some of the later details.

Anyway, the good news is that in the end the hackers at Dragon Sector were able to unlock most of the trains: A few had additional trickery that they didn't want to hack around, because it might break the train's certification. For the others, they discovered undocumented "cheat codes" in the software that they could use to bypass the secret lockouts... presumably the same ones that Newag would have used when they "repaired" trains.

i think that kui portrayed kabru's mental health issues in a very interesting way, but it's what makes it subtle to some readers. the fact that he seems so functional to the readers, especially in the first few appearances, not to mention that a lot of his problems and symptoms are not obvious and can only be seen in additional materials, seems like an intended choice from the character writing perspective.

the way kui constructs his character centers around the idea of duality. he switches between two "faces" in the story constantly, he uses two speaking styles (and two pronouns indicating them), he's a tallman who lived with elves for a long time and carries both cultures, he's caught in the conflict between long-lived and short-lived races, he's constantly stuck between two choices in his inner conflicts (what to think of laios? should he prioritize preventing another tragedy or taking away power from long-lived races?), he's bisexual. kui also made him a gemini, yknow, a zodiac sign associated with twins and duality.

there's a certain theme in this and it does affect the way we interpret his personality and choices and it goes beyond text, it's metatextual too. it's a sway between what's hidden and what's shown to the readers about him.

the thing is, i think his mental health issues are meant to be downplayed and hidden, because it's true to his character. what do we notice about him in the main story and what's hidden? well, one of the first things we see is that he's not great at fighting monsters, he suffers from ptsd that makes him basically freeze up just from thinking about them. images of dead people turning into monsters, tearing each other apart and eating each other haunt him, making him feel ill from monster food. he downplays this a lot, hides it from other characters, straight-up lies about it, but at least readers got to see it.

with a keen eye you might notice that he doesn't eat enough food, almost never eats anything on-screen. he mentions that he's never cooked food in his life: wait, kabru, don't you live alone? in that sense "don't you wanna eat?" moment reveals two details of kabru's character at once: we got to see his aversion from monster food related to ptsd, but also his inability to notice his own hunger in general. he's strong and he almost always wears armor, but we know that he often dies in the dungeon. the armor hides that he's pretty scrawny for someone who fights physically, again, something that we can only notice after he takes off his armor (symbolism!).

funnily enough, here we have our first glance at this through additional materials: in the info page about the importance of calories and fat, kui mentions that kabru has lost a lot of weight since he started exploring the dungeon, because he died a lot. what it means is that he doesn't eat enough to cover the loss of weight. subtle, but clever detail.

speaking of him not knowing how to cook, this is another clever detail that hides bigger truth: kabru doesn't know how to do chores, he doesn't take proper care of himself. extra materials reveal to us that kabru lives in the basement, lacking light and clean air and he doesn't know how to clean his room or how to iron clothes and simply... never cared to learn? this is mostly omitted from the main story, even if it does have a place for it: for example, his journey with mithrun becomes infinitely more fascinating, when you know how little kabru cares about himself. but since those chapters are told through kabru's pov, he basically "hides" this from the reader, takes control of the narrative in the same way he tells a polished version of his tragic backstory.

he talks about mithrun's story like there's no connection, like he's not literally looking at the dark mirror of himself. and, ironically, he chooses to not be vulnerable in front of the readers just like young mithrun wouldn't. extra materials give us a glimpse again: when in the main story mithrun said "i can't fall asleep without spell or potion", in the extra comic (literally behind the scenes) kabru says "i use alcohol to help me fall asleep". there's a connection and kabru sees it, but he's not telling it to us. (and yes. there's evidence that kabru is an early-stage alcoholic. we can see bottles under his bed and what he says basically imply that he depends on alcohol: he's not using it for recreational purposes, he's using it as a substance to make himself sleepy and, probably, less anxious. when that dependence turns uncontrolled, it often leads to full-blown alcoholism).

bigger connection to mithrun is of course kabru's refusal to accept his own humanity, to see that he's alive, that he has his own needs and desires. he's suicidal in the same way: he can only see his goal, he doesn't care about his life, he only sees the value of his life in relation to that goal and he never think what's gonna happen to him after he reaches this goal (because he unconsciously believes that "the after" wouldn't happen to him). and he doesn't reflect on it, again, until he's met with a question "what do you want to do?". the way he doesn't see himself as alive is omitted again in the big portion of the story and only really comes up in the end, when he asks "what was the point of my survival?", in a basically joking moment.

but we can see it through the symbolism, through his connection to death in the story, through his eagerness to sacrifice his life for the idealistic goal in his mind. and of course, we can see it clearly through his mirror: there's a strong parallel between kabru almost committing double suicide while chasing his goals and mithrun literally getting himself killed while chasing his own.

what i'm trying to say, it's interesting that kabru uses his control of the narrative to hide his own vulnerability from the readers. maybe mithrun sees himself as leftovers and it's something cathartic for him to admit in the end, but kabru really doesn't want you to see that he feels the same way. that he's also "leftovers". but you see, they are standing together in that panel. as kabru continues to try shielding himself from your view, kui puts the mirror next to him, revealing what's hidden.

So here is how I think this would go. Also this is jiuyuan again because I'm just obsessed with him not sorry.

SO sy wakes up in his funky System Void. But before he can really get explained anything he just sees a bunch of flashing red ERROR screens. Then he wakes up, again, and is inside of your typical xianxia appropriate bedroom. Like all by himself.

After a bit of poking around he's in this big manor. Very nice but completely empty of other people. A bit later he realizes that the whole area outside of the manor's walls is just this flat expanse of water as far as the eye can see. The sky is faintly pink and the sun has been in the same spot, like it's setting, for hours now. He's basically trapped inside this manor with no way to get out since the water looks really deep and he knows he can't swim that well.

He ends up finding a small library after a while of searching. They're all about instruments, Cultivation techniques, or qiang mastery. So, he's probably transmigrated, right? But he has no idea where he is. The last thing he read was Proud Immortal Demons Way and that had been a shitshow but he doesn't recognize any of this.

SY stays there a few days and gets familiar with his new body. The sun never goes down and the breeze never blows. He finds out he actually has a qiang as a spiritual weapon! And his body has some foundational cultivation techniques, though notes written in the margins of his books tell him not to "finish his core" until he's older. He's retained a lot of his body's skills and he's kind of OP with his weapon! He's also a master of the pipa and dizi and a really good singer, which is pretty cool! Less cool is that he seems to be a child.

Just when sy has ran out of books to read he hears a chime in his head. The SYSTEM has just come back online and slams him with info.

His SYSTEM is thankful he is still in the house! Apprently he got stuck in the body of the main character of some story called "Venegeful Son's Immortal Destiny"! SY has no idea what that is. The System explains that, for some reason, it was booted into offline mode and it only just got restarted. It also can't connect to the main cloud and something seems to be corrupting the story!

Since normal functions are offline, the best it can do is try to guide SY forward and keep him alive until the system can get fixed. Without spoiling TOO much for it, it briefly recounts that the protagonist was left in a secret realm by his father to keep him safe. His father in this world was a powerful rogue cultivator with a lot of hidden techniques, so a bunch of other jealous sects rose up against him to attack and take his precious secrets. His dad, whom he traveled with, hid him here with all his books and also his spiritual weapon.

What was SUPPOSED to happen was that the dad, bloody and dying, was supposed to burst back into the secret realm and start the son on the oath of revenge. This was a very vicious dog blood novel with lots of twists and turns! The system had been excited to FINALLY guide someone through it!

But since the dad never showed up sy is kinda trapped here. He and the system end up devising sort of a plan to get out; since he has a protagonist halo and all, the system figures they can use that to their advantage. It's still very slow going, though, and sy ends up talking to the system a lot! They kind of become friends!

This system, since it's not connected to the main cloud and kinda lost, is a lot more relaxed than the one in canon. SY ends up getting from the system that the story he's in wasn't a GOOD story, narrative wise, but it was still one of the system's favorites! The author put a lot of heart into it and really treasured the characters, which as a whole helped him through a really hard time in his life. The system explains that the job of things like itself is to help "fix" stories like this, which is part of why the system was so excited! A transmigrator like sy is just the vehicle for that!

They end up talking about books they both know (the system has never heard of PIDW though, sadly) and get along pretty well! They both prefer "bad" stories over good ones, though where SY prefers to rag on what went wrong, the System prefers to focus on what went right and how small changes could have made the stories shine.

As they bond, they enact the plan to escape. Except, they're not the only things that notice this. On the other side of the hidden realm, at the entrance, activity has alerted some rogue cultivators that something is up. While Sy and system have been trying to get out, they've been trying to get in.

It comes to a head when, suddenly, the front door crashes open and the hidden realms entrance is forced to connect to the actual world. Rogue cultivators flood inside, hoping to steal secrets before the great sects find out and wipe the place clean. Demonic cultivators follow, hoping for similar- but also the chance to catch a few unsuspecting rogues out and kill them.

SY, with all his father's important information stored away in storage rings, ends up narrowly getting out and escaping from the realm. It's the middle of the night in the "real" world and he's deep in a thick forest. SY runs, with some help from the system, until he thinks he's not being followed any longer. Panting, he ends up going to a small stream to wash the sweat off himself and cool down.

Across the stream, frozen stiff, is a boy that looks about his age, maybe a little older, with dark hair and sharp, calculating eyes. SY thinks he would be pretty if not for the scowl marring his features. The boy had been washing his hands off in the stream, which SY can tell seem sort of hurt like burns.

The System suddenly activates and tells SY to talk to him! The system can't tell exactly what, but the boy has some sort of Halo, so he's important! And maybe if they can figure out what happened they can get rid of the corruption so the system can connect again!

SY is awkward, and the boy is like a sissy and angry cat, but SY eventually introduces himself and gets a name from the boy: Shen Jiu. SJ is there with his teacher though he seems a little dodgy talking about that. Using his body's OP luck and the system's help, SY finds some herbs nearby and gives them to SJ to help with his burns. The System manages to successfully "link" them together, too!

SJ convinces SY to leave before anyone "unsavory" might find him so he does. The System, when they're alone, explains that since they're "linked" that SY will be more likely to randomly find the boy and connect with him! And, since he has a Halo, he'll eventually be around other characters, too! They'll solve this mystery together!

With System as a guide, SY ends up meeting up and endearing himself to a group of traveling performers. Apparently something similar happened in the actual story but the system doesn't recognize any of these people as the same characters. Still, SY is charming with his protag halo and his skills with music get him pretty much adopted.

SY, free, now has some goals: find out what happened to his dad and help the system clear up the corruption! As a personal goal he'd also like to finish his cultivation, but he agreed with whoever wrote those notes in the manuals to wait till he's older to do certain things; he doesn't want to be stuck as a 12 year old forever.

SY ends up traving around with the performers. As promised, every few months he happens to run into SJ! It's always a fun surprise when it happens, too! Usually it's in a town when it happens. SY will be picking up some supplies or enjoying a festival before he has to perform and he'll happen to bump onto SJ. SJ is always hissy with him but SY can recognize the tsundere trope when he sees it! SJ is never around his teacher and SY eventually gets the feeling that maybe his teacher isn't nice to SJ. But SY is just a kid and can't do much, so he has SJ hang out with him or his new adopted family while he can! SY doesn't have very much but he'll share some treats or fun gossip he's picked up on his travels. Sometimes the System even helps him find neat things that SJ can look into! It's very slow and SJ seems to fight him every step of the way, but they do form something of a small friendship.

About three years after SY escaped from the realm, he is secretly a fine little cultivator. A big conference of some sort is coming up that the big sects are sponsoring. SY has been very careful to avoid any sects since he doesn't know which ones attacked his father... but his group is going to a nearby town to perform. All the cultivators makes the surrounding towns very busy so it's a good time to earn some cash! And they're lucky enough to get a performance spot!

As per usual, this is when SY hits a lucky shot and meets up with SJ. It's the day before everything and SY and SJ end up hanging out. SY thinks that SJ is competing and wishes him luck. He makes SJ promise to come back after it's over and SY says that he'll treat him to a nice dinner with his savings for doing a good job! SJ is more dodgy than usual. In the end, SJ never comes back like he promised and SY is forced to leave town a few days later. He wonders what happened to his friend.

It's not until about four months later that he sees SJ again, which is the longest he ever went without seeing him. SJ is in some new clothes that look nicer than his older ones. SY can't help himself and throws himself at SJ to give him a hug with a cry of "Jiu-ge!". He almost gets his block knocked off for this until SJ realizes WHO SY is. SY ends up squeezing him and admitting that he thought that SJ died when he didn't come back. SJ is sort of uncomfortable and eventually gets SY pried off himself and placated.

SY then notices a couple other people around their age who are giving SY weird looks. One is named Mu Feng and the other is Wei Li. SJ explains that he got "taken in" by a cultivation sect but he is as dodgy on answering questions as always. SY introduces himself to them and explains that SJ is his friend. It turns out the three of them are on this town because there were rumors of some strange happenings. SY has heard that! So he tells them all he knows and wishes SJ luck! SJ still owes joining him for a nice dinner and he WILL collect at some point!

The System pipes up when they're gone that the two people with SJ has some sort of plot significance! Weaker auras of it, but that meant the plan was working! Hooray!

Things go like this for a while, with SJ now occasionally meeting SY on missions with his sect. He ends up meeting quite a few people with lesser plot connection but none stronger than SJ's own Halo. People who know SJ are always kinda weirded out by SY being his friend which is really strange! Because SJ is kinda prickly but he's not a bad guy or anything! (Ha) SY even sort of makes friends with the Mu and Wei guys since he seems to see them the most.

I'll continue this later cause my phone is dying. But it's very funny to imagine SY somehow missing all the PIDW clues because he's so focused on other stuff. SY can be so obtuse and that's super fun to play with! I also think that, like, SY has NOT met specifically YQY, SQH, and LQG. But he has met like every other future Peak Lord and probably like 2 of the current ones (but not the Qing Jing one). Like no one other than SY realizes he is a cultivator, too, because he is doing his best to keep that shit on lockdown. So not even SJ knows even tho SY would 100% say that SJ is his best friend in this world lmao.

I think that since SY doesn't have to put on a poser act in this world he'd be slightly more of a sassy little gremlin. He'd also be sort of cocky since he knows he has a protag halo. SY would 100% put himself in situations thinking he can get out of them!

SOUL Collectors 101 - #1 : Anomaly SOULs

-What are Anomaly SOULs?

Put it simply; They’re SOULs affected by a timeline glitch that gives the concealed human SOULs shape and matter, virtually reviving them!

it usually happens after an “ending” has registered into the timeline Where the SOULs are supposed to just- disappear.

Every time the file save of that timeline is loaded or reset without properly handling the Anomaly SOULs, they’re reformed.

-Stages of reformation

Beginning with a simplified Vistage, they eventually develop to a more accurate shape of the departed human, even recovering their memories at a certain point- until uhm...I haven’t gotten enough data to know haha..!

Their memories may develop in different ways with each reset! Some might only remember their fall and some might recall everything to their last breath..oof...

Anomaly Souls cannot be absorbed nor shattered! They simply “refuse” to. Literally.

Only SOUL Collectors can properly contain Anomaly SOULs. Other methods have been used, but they usually yield less favorable results. We’re still discovering more about them, though!

If a SOUL Collector frees an Anomaly SOUL after containing them, it usually takes from a few hours to days or even weeks for their Vistage to reform depending on what phase they were collected in.

-How do you tell the difference?

You can’t- at least not your normal, everyday person. By themself, SOUL Anomalies look almost indistinguishable from a normal SOUL. You won’t know unless you try shattering or absorbing it-!

Some Monsters and humans from other universes have trained themselves to tell the difference! And some are just “born” to it- like SOUL Collectors-!

-Are they dangerous?

ehhh…Not really- I mean Yes!! *some* are! But for the first few phases that ARE harmless, down the line, they may pose a threat to the timeline and its inhabitants, especially if agitated…

-Monsters affected by Anomaly SOULs.

If an Anomaly SOUL attacks and kills a monster and the save file is loaded/reset, the Monster will return somewhat physically similar to an amalgamate.

Their SOUL reforms their body in the same way as a SOUL Anomaly’s “but it refused” mentality.

Except- unlike a human’s, the Monster’s SOUL isn’t capable of properly reforming itself…thus they come out...misshapen.

I haven’t seen many cases, thankfully. But, from the data I collected from SOUL collectors themselves; this is one of the main reasons they collect anomaly SOULs: to protect the inhabitants of timelines and the multiverse from collapsing into itself in chaos.

I like the idea of like an omegas nest isn't just relegated to the bedroom or alphas den, sure that's the center of their nest & the area they fuss over the most in the day to day but I think tht in a modern society not worried abt which cave or group of trees will provide the best shelter tht the nest extends into the majority of the living space; the color of the walls, seating, throw blankets, the art & photos on said colorful walls, & for some omegas this feeling can even encompass basically the entire kitchen set up. All of tht is considered a part of their nest & a way to showcase their ability to care for their pack. it's a very flexible & permeable line tho bc an alphas den is also considered to extend to the larger living space now too but for many alphas this mostly translates into ensuring the space remains livable i.e. making sure whatever breaks gets fixed

Stobin r out one weekend at a sort of new club (it's been open almost a yr) just letting loose, they pregame at home & have bought a single drink each bc damn alcohol is expensive. When the two go together to the bathroom (bc srsly the bathroom when ur drunk w ur best friend just hits different) suddenly on their way out some bug burly guys r blocking their path & ushering them rather roughly into an "office" overlooking the club.

Where they meet the owner of the club & newest mob boss trying to expand his territory; Alpha Eddie "The Freak"

Eddie is intent on ransoming Steve & Robin to get the upper hand in a deal w Steve's parents... but when he meets Steve's eyes it's like everything fades away & all at once both of them know tht the other is their soulmate

Well...

Eddie still tries to ransom them (while also treating them both like honored guests as they stay at a safe house or something) but quickly learns tht the Harrington's & Robin's mom suck major ass & so he's just like... "Steve, Robin, do either of u care abt ur parents & their underlings?" Then proceeds to wipe out the entire Harrington family minus A!Carol Perkins who'd been covertly feeding Steve & Robin any info they needed to stay out of the Harrington parents grasp (I rlly like good friend Carol Perkins ok)

Shenanigans ensue bc I think it'd b kinda funny if this was a sweet fluffy kinda of story w like organized crime & murder happening in the background lol

then steddie court (eddie must get robin & carols seal of approval, he doesnt need it but he knows steve cares abt what the 2 alpha women think) then get married & mated & Steve is given free reign of like basically every home Eddie owns (which he immediately includes Steve on the deeds of plus buys a few places w only Steve on the deed) & Steve gets to nest like never before

He starts w the main residence they use most frequently: works w Eddie to change paint colors, buys the best quality nesting blankets/sheets/pillows & Eddie scents all of it with a single mindedness Steve just has to kiss him for, he gets to rearrange decor/art & include his meager knickknacks & buy new things to decorate with, he gets to repurpose an entire room into an art space at every residence. Slowly Steve works his way thru the homes in the US then moves on to the vacation home in Austria (idk I think Austria is beautiful)

When Steve becomes pregnant after a year of not trying followed by a yr of actively trying (2 yrs) the nesting goes into overdrive as he gets everything prepared for their baby, Eddie is not immune to this & his den instinct also goes into overdrive making him invest in all new security systems & testing said systems & he also rearranges the den in every residence while Steve directs him on where the furniture should move.

Then after 9 months of baby nesting & den making Steve has a home birth. On June 28th their little bundle comes into the world healthy & they name her Jolene Riot Munson

And they all lived happily ever after 🥰

I come here late to give my opinion on what Nicole Maines said in her book about the Supercorp fandom (go to Twitter for more info, but she basically gave her point of view of things as a queer actor on the show having expected things from the queer fans, confirmed we were being queerbaited while also blaming us for some actors getting fired). I appreciate her side of things and feel for her. But reading that I felt that A LOT was overlooked, especially the context of it all. So sit back if you care enough to read this and come with me as I go on a rant and we go down memory lane to give some context into what it was like to watch Supergirl live as a Supercorp fan.

The first season of Supergirl had its fair share of ships. People liked Kara/Cat, Kara/James, Kara/Win maybe anyone? I don't remember that one but I'm sure there were people out there who liked them. Some people even liked Alex/Kara (a conversation for another time). Kara/Cat shippers could also like Kara/James, because both ships had some strong foundations in the narrative, they were undeniably good ships, regardless of how you feel about age-difference relationships or straight relationships lol. There wasn't mostly an issue, except with the ones that liked Kara/Alex.

In between the first and second season of Supergirl it was announced that a main character would be gay. They didn't say who, though. Speculation began, of course. They did say that Maggie Sawyer was coming to the show but it was not confirmed that she was going to be a lesbian and even less whose love interest. 

Then the second season premiered. And in the very first episode Kara Danvers meets Lena Luthor. Their scenes together were filled with sexual tension from the very beginning, look at their meeting scene without context and a bit of an open mind and most people will see their chemistry and think that maybe Kara was meeting her soulmate. And the first scene of Supergirl meeting Lena Luthor? It was already drawing a parallel between them and Lois/Clark, one of most iconic, recognizable and undeniable canon ships of all time. Drawing parallels between these two ships was the creators of the show's favorite pastime and it started from day one, before the ship had any fans because we hadn't met Lena just yet.

But in that episode we did meet her. And we fell in love fast. Because their interactions and the interest concept of Lena's character were good. Could it really be that Kara was the main gay character? Could it really be that they were going to give us an epic love story with Supergirl and a family member of her family's historically known enemy? Could they dare to make the famous superhero anything other than straight?

It wasn't just a delusion on our part at that time. It was a real possibility based on real facts. Kara had suddenly dropped the guy she spent the entire previous season chasing after. She got him and dumped him for no good reason (the writers didn't bother to give it a good excuse) and in the same episode she meets this woman, at the start of the season we were going to discover a main gay character.

These are all facts.

A few episodes later Maggie Sawyer makes her debut and it's clear that she's Alex's love interest from the first moment. Cool. It's not Kara but at least it's Alex (because, at the time, we know, WE KNOW, that they don't have two lesbian/queer women characters in the same show unless they're dating each other. How could we think that gay people will surround themselves with other gay people? silly us), that was the reaction: We still LOVED that it was Alex, because it still made sense. And it was difficult to find Sanvers fanfic without it having Supercorp in it because we were all the same people, of course most of us liked both ships. 

Now, I obviously don't know her, but I seriously don't think that Chyler can say she felt overlooked by the fans that season. Alex's coming out scenes were some of the best we had seen in our entire lives up until that point, and we made that known. Not all of us might have been on board with Sanvers (some storyline choices could've been questionable) but with Alex? No one loved her more than the queer Supergirl fans. And in the meantime Supercorp kept getting screen time, their friendship progressing in a Clois kind of way that was beautiful to witness. While Maggie and Alex's relationship advanced pretty quickly from an "I'm not gay" to a rejection to a proper first kiss, Supercorp was building a bit more organically as Supergirl kept saving Lena's life, as Lena opened up only to Kara, trusting her all the while Kara was keeping this huge secret from her. We ate that shit up, of course we did.

After season two was over we got the news that Floriana Lima (Maggie) was going to leave the show. I remember Chyler saying that she wanted to do right by us and whoever came next was gonna stay. And I'm not faulting Chyler for what came next, at all. Chyler was and always will be one of the best things on Supergirl and she has always treated the fandom with the utmost respect and love. And I hope she only received the same treatment back (and I hate to know she got those letters from people threatening to kill themselves, but let's have a little compassion for those people and their mental health, I hope they're doing well).

So Maggie left. And while some fans were not coping well with that, most fans understood it was the actress' decision. That was fine. What wasn't fine was the decision the writers made by making the breakup about not wanting babies when they were about to get married. How on Earth (any Earth) a couple don't talk about that particular issue BEFORE deciding to get married? It was an easy way out. But okay, it's just a TV show, I don't write it, we can move on from that... In the same season, at the same time this whole discussion and breakup occurs, the very same person who wanted to have kids has a meet-cute with a SINGLE MOTHER, Sam. The story was full of promise, she had a kid already with whom Alex got along amazingly, there was great chemistry between all three of them, Sam also had a dark secret being basically her sister's most powerful enemy, their relationship was mostly well built throughout the entire season. But guess what? She wasn't her new love interest, and left at the end of it. 

A lot of Supercorp fans LOVED AgentReign (Sam/Alex), by the way. A lot of Supercorp fans also loved ReignCorp (Sam/Lena) and a few even loved AgentCorp (Lena/Alex) and SuperReign (lol what was the name of this ship? I don't remember but Kara/Sam). And guess what? There wasn't a war between us. We were mostly the same people multishipping because it's fun and because these were interesting characters with interesting relationships created by the writers. We were inventing and wishing for stuff, but the foundations were laid for us, some (most) things were there and most of us were just screaming that we liked what we were being given and wanted more of that.

And that's why come season 4, some people were having a hard time accepting Dansen. Because we were mourning the loss of Sam and her relationship with Alex, the what ifs are always the worst, no matter the situation.  But most Supercorp fans embraced Kelly (and Azie, we love Azie and what we got to see of her relationship with Chyler, and Katie and Nicole), the vast majority of us ended up loving Dansen despite the writers not always doing a great job at writing their arcs. And it's awful that some fans treated her and other members of the cast horribly, but that was by far a small portion of the Supergirl fandom in general, and especially the Supercorp fandom. And, by the way, as a side note because racism was part of the problem for a minority of the fandom, A LOT of us in the Supercorp side of it are not white people from the US, A LOT of us are from other countries/races/cultures (that can be racist too of course, but the point is we don't know the races and motives of everyone behind a keyboard).

And that season most of us also embraced Nia because she was the first trans superhero, because of her queerness, because she was an awesome fun character, because she was relatable and geeky like most of us. We embraced her, her relationship with Kara and her relationship with Brainy. And we showed that by trending Nia related things, by adding Nia to our fanfics and fanarts. Nia was a Supercorp ally for most of us and we didn't exclude her from the art because we loved her as much as we love some of the other characters in the show.

Now, if Kara would have had, after the first season, one male love interest that was decent enough, we would have still love and wanted Supercorp, that's true (especially when it had been years of build-up) but most of us probably would have liked the pairing anyway, because we loved Kara Danvers and wanted her to be happy and to have the love she wanted at the beginning of the show (which she didn't get, by the way).

But the writers decided to give her, instead, another man who didn't treat her well. And I couldn't honestly tell you half of William's storyline because I couldn't care less. The creators of the show didn't make me care. Hell, I didn't even see Kara cared enough about that character. The writers should know their audience and should know that the audience needs moments to make them care about the characters, the writers have the power to make that happen. Many times I've seen a fandom hate a character one episode and love them by the next one, because sometimes all it takes is one good scene, or one good arc. William never had that. And now we have confirmation of what we knew all along, that maybe they were writing half-assed storylines for their love interests because they were too busy trying to figure out new ways to queerbait us. If they would have put a quarter of that effort into creating good love interests for Kara and/or Lena (but especially Kara), most of this conversation wouldn't still be happening 3 years later.

We embraced Andrea Rojas, we embraced her so much that we shipped her with Lena. Most of us weren't the blind Supercorp-or-nothing crazy fans a lot of people to this day make us out to be. When things were good, we mostly liked them. But please, please, let's be honest here, a lot of the time Supergirl was not a great-written show. And I get that those are Nicole's friends but a little objectivity, especially after all these years, would have come a long way.

These past few days I've read a couple of people saying Supercorp was the only good thing about the show. Those kinds of people were and still are a very very minority. A lot of us started the show before Supercorp existed and LOVED (still love) the Danvers sisters with all of our hearts. And the writers, at times, didn't know how to keep up with that relationship, the one that at first was the very center of the show, all that well either.

Most Supercorp fans didn't actually like that the 100th episode revolved all around Supercorp. 1) Because it was queerbaiting at its finest. 2) because it should've been about the Danvers sisters. Or at least about all Supergirl's most important relationships in equal measure. Yes, Lena was a big part of her, but ALEX EVEN MORE SO. The fandom didn't make that happen, we didn't fire any actor either. These were decisions made by the people who had the power to make anything in the show happen. If we would have had our way we all know what we would have done, and no, it definitely was not p**n (the most used AO3 tags for our ship speak for themselves).

I didn't see Nicole's last paragraph on the subject shared much. A lot of people didn't see that she acknowledged a small portion of the good the Supercorp fandom did.

But by the time you get to it, you already have a bad taste in your mouth. Because it still reads as if she's talking about us all without a care that "the toxic fans" were just a loud minority. Not to say that the good guys weren't louder, because Supercorp is still what it is to this day because we're still loud. So why is there very little mention of that? The way we supported Nia's episode? The way we supported Kelly's?

And because we were having fun and we were loud about our love for two fictional characters, WE WERE ALSO RECEIVING THREATS from some toxic fans, hell, the day before yesterday some fans were receiving death threats like it's 2017. Everything she says the cast and crew were dealing with, the Supercorp fans were dealing with it as well, and more so because the toxic people felt validated by the choices the creators made. Validated by some writers on Twitter making it worse. Validated by some of the actors who were also mocking us. We were all called delusional, and that was the most chill thing you could be called.

I understand her point of view, and I imagine that was not a great first experience in that kind of set, and I would love to have the opportunity to talk to actors about this topic that fascinates me (relationship between fandoms and cast/crew). But context is important, to see other people's point of views is important when having these conversations. She felt her own community wasn't supporting her when most of us were and that didn't come across at all. Not even with her final words. 

The fact is, they were hurt by a small part of their own fandom (which, by the way, they have no idea how old those toxic fans were. Not to say that adults are not toxic. But we, as the non-toxic adults, should also think of the demographic and react accordingly). And most of us, the queer Supercorp shippers, were also hurt by the toxic part of the fandom and by some of the people she's trying to defend. Let's be clear, there's not "mayyyybe," they were 100% wrong in queerbaiting the hell out of us from day one and mocking us for believing the bait. Make no mistake, most of this is a consequence of THAT.

Hi, please ignore this question if it's something you don't want to talk about for whatever reason, but it's my understanding that you were the developer of the unreleased game "Item Haver." It seems like a lot of the information online about this game is now dead links, and I'm really curious about what happened to it (you could probably guess what led me to learn of it's existence in the first place ^ ^'). I assume it is no longer in development, I'm just wondering if information on it being elusive was a deliberate choice or if that's just the nature of things documented entirely on abandoned social media accounts. hi! i guess i'll answer this since i occasionally get questions about it and this one is particularly polite. (thank you!) "item haver" was a project i was working on like 10 or more years ago. the reason you can't find any information about it is because... [drumroll]... there really isn't any! even calling it a "game" or saying that it was "in development" at any point honestly feels like an overstatement. it was just a lil hobby project i was using to learn how to use Construct 2. i eventually lost interest in working on it due to various and thats all she wrote. whatevers up on the old itemhaver twitter is all there is, i made no effort to remove any information. theres no cool hidden stuff i wasnt showing either - i think basically if i worked on something, it got posted. bad habit!! anyway. the only reason people keep bringing this old thing up is because there seems to be an idea within certain parts of the undertale fandom that it's connected to that game or to toby somehow...? it's literally not. item haver was all me and it was barely anything. the only miniscule shred of a string of a scrap of connection between the two things are the songs "mystery", "havercity", and "ballchime", composed by toby. and you REALLY have to stretch for these to count as a connection. to my memory, it goes like this: toby shared a wip song ("mystery") and i responded "ah, item haver city theme..." or something implying it'd suit an area in my project. then toby responded with a different more snes-y rendition of the same song ("havercity"), saying that this version would suit it better or something like that. finally, he eventually ended up using a snippet of "mystery" as an easter egg in undertale ("ballchime"), because it's a song he made and didn't end up using for anything else, so why not i guess?

anyway, the main takeaway here is that toby didn't make anything for item haver, he just posted a wip song that i liked and we had a little back and forth about it. i honestly don't even remember if this exchange was public on twitter or if people only have these songs due to being nosy little directory-crawling creeps. unknown.

having an old abandoned learning project of mine pinned anywhere on the "undertale iceberg" by certain fans desperate for "lore" is equal parts funny and annoying tbh. like, on some level i get it, i love trawling tcrf.net for scraps of development info regarding games i grew up with, but that feels just a little bit different from this!!

one last thing to close this up: ive had a few well-meaning folks ask if i ever plan to return to the project. the answer is no, probably not - like i said, it was 10+ years ago and the "game" was barely anything to begin with. yall got fooled by my twitter gamedev gifs!!! gotcha!!!! ok bye

Wolf Pack Headcanons

My personal head canons on the shifters and what they get up to 🫶 I’ve been missing seeing wolf pack content. Plus there isn’t much info or anything on the Wolfpack outside of Jacob. Most of these come from the fact I know what it’s like to live on a rez. Debating if I should do nsfw head canons next 🤭

There’s hardly any down time for the shifters. Since the Cullens came into town there had been almost constant activity in the area. After the birth of Renesmee everyone thought it’d calm down. But instead activity got more frequent. Patrols and executions were part of their routine after a few years

When Vampire activity is low they still protect the rez in their own way. Most of the guys took first aid and security classes. Since chief and council know about the secret of the shifters they pay all of them (except the younger ones aka minors) through their security program. So when there are hardly any vampires they work in the security program

Everyone helps Emily with the household such as cleaning and cooking when they can. But most just help pay for the groceries since she feeds all of them

The rez has a mixed view of the shifters. To everyone they’re all secretive and intimidating. But because of how many people they’ve helped over the years they’ve also earned a lot of respect. Some believe they are arrogant and entitled to the rez. Others believe them to be protectors of the rez in a way. Sometimes people have issues with them to the point of harassing them. Sam, Paul, and Jared are usually the main targets. Like Bella thinking they are a gang ☠️

These guys all have trucks and drive everywhere+anywhere. Kim is the only one to own a car. They have many different chill spots around the rez (not just them but everyone in La push goes to these places) usually to drink and have bonfires

When they aren’t driving on the Rez they’re heading into town for some fun. Shopping sprees, eating out, and gambling is usually what’s on the agenda for these guys. Although they drive a lot locally it’s because they can’t travel too far

Everyone especially Paul dreams of the day they no longer have to shift. Once they stop they have all the freedom to travel and explore

The guys love to go mudding in their trucks and have contests

Emily has a projector and hosts movie nights in the backyard when it’s nice out

Emily and Kim craft and bead together. Emily does more sewing than beading, she’s made all the guys ribbon shirts, from youngest to eldest. Also enjoys making ribbon skirts occasionally especially Appliqué ribbon skirts. Kim loves to make beaded earrings and necklaces. These two give away more than they sell

Kim is always wearing big ndn girl™️ earrings. Beaded, quilled, dentillium, shells, you name it. (Once she wanted to make some out of Jared’s wolf fur but he refused. She found a way)

All of them are hella competitive with each other. And since they’re basically non human their strength and abilities are crazy. They all enjoyed testing their strength, think Bella and Emmett arm wrestling, same energy with these guys. Both in human and wolf form they strived to show off. The imprintees of them all had to take some time to get used to seeing such things. Like two mega beasts fighting on the front lawn, switching back to human, and playing it off like nothing

Paul, Leah, and Embry are the ones who struggle the most with being a shifter. In the beginning their rage and frustration was almost uncontrollable. Even as the years passed they still had moments where they burst out of control. (Once they imprinted the out bursts stopped completely) So these three became close since they were similar especially in their struggles

High energy for all of them. They have to find ways to burn off energy or else they legit couldn’t sleep. Which the solution is always intense exercise. Most times you’ll find Paul and Jared are competing to see who can do more push ups. Or the younger wolves doing relay races on their usual trails. Embry, Quil, and Jacob liked to box and spar with each other only. Leah and Paul get way too aggressive when sparring with everyone. It’s usually just Leah vs Paul if they really need to get rid of their aggression. Sam and Jared spar together since they actually follow the rules lol

Emily and Leah are still close and Leah never dated Sam lol

It wasn’t Sam that scarred Emily it was a rogue vampire. Sam punishes his self since he wasn’t fast enough to protect her. But he was quick enough along with Paul to stop the vampire before he could change her. It’s why Leah distrusts Sam. She believes he can’t protect her sister/cousin well enough and punishes him daily in their hive mind. Also constantly questions him as a leader

Quil and Kim are cousins lol I imagine them being close like brother and sister growing up. So it works well for them to be in the wolf pack together

For the shifters it’s hard for them to drink any alcohol. Not that they don’t it’s just that their body burns the alcohol quicker than normal humans. Smoking 🍃 actually has an effect on them like normal

Majority of them rarely drink, it started from Sam believing he needed to be in a clear mind, in order to be a leader. Not only that but being a shifter meant being very spiritually connected. And in most native cultures it’s believed that alcohol dulls the spirit. (Doesn’t stop some of them lol)

Quil, Embry, and Jacob were the first to start smoking 🍃 and out of the whole pack Quil is the biggest stoner. Claims it’s what “keeps him chill” since he doesn’t have a hard time shifting

They hunt game while they’re in wolf form. Natives love wild meat, deer, elk, moose, you name it. So them being able to shift makes it way easier to catch game. The guys gut and skin whatever they catch. Emily and Kim are usually the two who process the game. (Tbh it’s mostly Paul, Leah, and Sam bringing back game home because they raged out)

Everybody is in someway jealous of Jared and Kim. Since Jared had an easy time with shifting even in the beginning. And when he imprinted on Kim their relationship had always been easy and full of love even now

Jacob and Quil are the mechanics of the group. All the guys know some basic skills but these two are the best at it. Anytime anyone has issues it’s them who take care of it

It was actually Seth who took on his mom’s role and was training to become an emergency service provider. Eventually he wants a job in medicine. Leah knows basic cpr and first aid like the rest of the guys

All their minds are linked, when they shift they get a download, of what everyone was doing while not in wolf form. Nothing is secret or sacred lol they all know everything about each other. In their human form they’re still connected of course. But they have to get consent to connect telepathically in human form. In wolf form they have no control and everything is shared in the mind in an instant

Tbh around others especially in crowded places they gained their rep of being stoic and silent bc of this. Even in human form they talk more with each other in their heads than with their voice. Usually if they’re in a group but silent they’re talking in their heads to each other. They all have their own ways of blocking out certain things the others go through

The pack tolerates renesmee but pretty much just Emily and Kim visit her, out of pity and empathy, Jacob understood this well. Instead of making his brothers uncomfortable he’s usually with the Cullens. Occasionally he’ll come by his self but not for long. Sometimes he brings her but it’s usually short visits

Quil Atera III (quil’s grandfather) Billy Black, Harry Clearwater, and Sue Clearwater are one of very few people who know history of the shifters. Majority of what everyone knows about shifters is because of the knowledge they possess. The pack rely on these 3 the most

Hiii I'm a newer fan and I have a few questions about how the SEKAIs work

1. When you leave the SEKAI, does it spit you back out the same place that you entered it? Or can you use it to teleport?

2. On that note, in the Wonderlands x Showtime main story, Emu and Nene hold on to Rui while Tsukasa transports them all. This means you do not need one phone per person to travel. Can he do this because they also have the Untitled songs on their phones? Or can this be done to ANYONE? Could it work on those from a different unit?

3. Do we know if there's a limit to the number of outside things someone can bring into the SEKAI? For example, if the Empty SEKAI is essentially limitless, could it be used essentially like a bag of holding from DnD? Could it store the Mediterranean Sea? Could you steal something and put it in the SEKAI to erase the evidence?

4. Do things brought into the SEKAI ever disappear? If they do, do they return to where the objects were in the real world, or do they simply vanish?

5. If you give something to someone inside the SEKAI, can they take that thing with them outside of the SEKAI? Can it be used to teleport objects? Or will the object return to the person who originally brought it? Or will it stay in the SEKAI until the original person takes it out?

6. Why do they have to hide the Vocaloids on their phones? What do they think will happen if people see a hologram of Kagamine Len? Wouldn't it just be assumed that they're looking at a vocaloid video or some kind of sophisticated VTube program? Why would someone automatically assume magic?

Thank you for your time! I have no idea if these questions have even been thought of; it seems more like the SEKAI are supposed to be metaphorical than treated as proper aspects of science fiction. So if you have/find any answers, I would greatly appreciate it!

1. It sends you back to where you were when you went in. This is shown most notably in the wxs main story where kigurumi-san says he saw Tsukasa and Emu disappear and reappear.

2. Sekai only allow certain people into them (the people with the specific untitled file on their device). This might change later this year.

3. This is something that they've never really gone into detail about, but you can probably put as much in as you want. They're pretty much endless or at least very very large.

4. No, they just stay there until you take them back out

5. The way the game seems to work is that whatever you are holding goes in/out the sekai with you (things like chairs you are sitting on seem exempt from this). So yes this technically means you can teleport objects, but only ones that came from the real world. Stuff that was created by the Sekai can't be taken out.

6. Probably just basic sci-fi rules of not trying to freak out the general public. Emu mentions that normal phones are able to display holograms in-universe, so in theory it shouldn't weird people out. But then again if anyone found out any level of detail about you having an mp3 file that warps you to an alternate dimensional plane where Hatsune Miku is legit real and based on your emotions would probably make you subject of government research. Like WxS use the vsinger holograms in the Wonder Magical Showtime event because they can use the excuse of "it's a show we just have the technology" and they never get sued by crypton and you could probably just say "cool app" if anyone saw it briefly but if people find out any actual info it's a problem.

Feel free to say it's too personal, but what was your bipolar diagnosis process like? How long did it take to figure out what worked?

Trying to be precise to help but it's a bit long

Went to a psychiatrist like "Hey I might have ADHD, anyway I'm not ok AT ALL I need to know if I have something with a name on it and how to adapt cause like, I'm at the end of my rope here"

Psychiatrist was a super cool woman, super lucky. We had a few sessions and she told me there was soooo much anxiety that she had no idea wtf was under, we had to lower that first. I know she wasn't a fraud because she offered a lot of alternative stuff like plants etc (here in France, doctors will throw meds at you like it's candy, without thinking, istg) but i was like yeah no, I'm not doing ok, and things like valeriane or milpertuis won't cut it, tried already. I did not want to take antidepressants because they're fucking awful to me, and I'm not depressive, I have depressive episodes. Like, all in all, I'm pretty happy, though anxious. It's rare that life is shit enough to put me down for long, but when I spiral down it's fast and intense. So she gave me the basic dose of a med that stabilizes mood, it's used for bipolar and epilepsy. It helped a lot.

At the same time I saw a therapist pretty often, she evaluated me for adhd but I'm not really there. Not enough. The attention problems come from anxiety and HIP. So mental hyperactivity. Did you know HIP and HEP people tend to feel stupid? Hilarious.

Anyway, my psychiatrist left my town, and before she did, she gave the bipolar type 2 diagnosis, because technically it is, so my next therapist can work with that angle. But she told me not to get too hung up on the label, since really my main problem is generalized anxiety and I desperately need to approach life in a softer way.

Anyway, it took me a month to have an appointment there, I saw a nurse for a quick evaluation, then two months until the psy could see me (they're busy and not enough docs here) , we had like 5 sessions in like three months? After the meds I had to go see her pretty regularly with bloodwork to check if it was good for me etc. I'd say after 6-8 months she only saw me every 4-6 months just for a check up, because I was stabilized by the treatment and I was seeing the therapist regularly. I think the whole thing lasted two years. I still go see a therapist there, they're great.

I'm very lucky I had her as a psychiatrist, she's super cool. Before that i had shit therapists one-shots as a kid, and when I was 20 I started with alternative types of therapy that worked great and got me a lot of breakthrough, like hypnosis of kinesiotherapy. But I really wanted that medical approach cause I wanted to know what kind of label would be put on my brain, and I was really really low in life and felt I needed some kind of meds to help at this point. I'm hopeful I can get slowly off of them eventually, when my anxiety lowers enough that I can try.

from what i’ve gathered, they were together as kids and were forced to be child gladiators. and escaped. then got lost in the deepspace tunnel and separated onto different areas of the universe i guess. mc ended up on earth and sylus ended up somewhere else.

that’s why mc is an orphan who’s age is undetermined. they found her out of nowhere. she was just thrown into linkon, found by ever. and they did experiments on her.

there, mc met caleb. and caleb and mc were experimented on further. and mc was killed over and over to the point where she lost all her memories

then sylus happened to arrive during the chronorift catastrophe. and where sylus and mc were the same age on their planet/nebula/wherever they were born together, here it seems he’s aged a little more than she has. or that they killed her so many times and stunted her growth. either way. now he’s i’m guessing a teen and she’s still a kid. and ofc, sylus isn’t going to stay with a kid, so he saves her life and leaves. and i guess he ventures out again, saves a few civilisations from tyrants like the ones who tortured him and mc, then he ends up on earth again and sets up the n109 zone, and becomes the boss of onichynus. probably because his intel led him to more evil shit ever is cooking with regards to mc. and how they’re low-key raising her to become a secret weapon (there’s a theory that UNICORNS is a unit made FOR mc because she’s the unicorns who’s rare powers they will one day harness)

and then i guess after this mc is adopted by josephine along with caleb. while sylus just sort of stays away because time has ripped apart his soulmate from him. and he just waits and sees if they’ll ever be reunited when they’re older or he’ll just have to be alone forever.

then at some point she DOES go into the n109 zone and now treats him as her enemy because she doesn’t remember who he is.

so basically, sylus and mc were dragons who became soulmates, he gave up his life to protect her, she cursed him to stay bound to her. then since they share parts of each other’s soul, they’re reincarnated together in a nebula or some other celestial body. and are immediately taken in as child gladiators who kill for entertainment (like the hunger games). and then i guess because of the deepspace tunnel the timeline gets stretched and they end up here on linkon with slightly different ages.

so basically. it’s both mc’s past, and current life. because it IS her. but she’s been killed and revived so many times that it altered her somehow. and the reason both of them have aether cores is because they’re not of earth, they’re from somewhere else, and they’re the same species. that’s why sylus always says her and him and one and the same. i reckon they’re the only ones of their species they know of.

and caleb and sylus weren’t together. sylus is current mc’s og childhood friend from when she was born before she ended up in linkon. and then she met caleb, and remembers caleb because josephine took them away and ever stopped killing and reviving her every few days.

there’s a lot of info missing in between but this is what i understood so far.

Thank you!! I looked at others analysis and got the same idea. I was mainly confused on the timeline of sylus helping her escape. Maybe I was thinking too much on the parallels between this new main story and caleb's myth. Where calebmc are literally born for eachother. Cause now it begs the question, what was caleb's origin in this timeline if mc landed on earth? Caleb is 002, he would be after her no? Unless his "ranking" changed after their discovery of mc and the extent of her powers.

TF2 Ver of my Sona, Ghoul. His full name is Gareth Sterling, he’s about the same age as Scout. His class is The Tazer, a class my friend helped me come up with, and basically his task is to stun the other team, he usually helps out Sniper or Scout.

His personal lore (it’s still a w.i.p, might be updated or changed,) is that he was originally on BLU Team, however due to a respawn machine malfunction, he was unable to respawn and announced dead. For whatever reason however, the company kept his body on ice for a few years, eventually handing his body off to RED Team’s Medic, leaving him, Engineer, and Chemist (friends OC), to experiment on, stitching him back together and bringing him back to life. He now works with the RED team as their Tazer, however he has memory issues and can’t remember much from before his death.

Daily Bite, Part 2: By Daylight

Part One

Summary: Part 2 of my vampire!Moon Boys au. In which you learn the basic rules of the house and get a tour. Though you notice a few weird things in an already weird mansion.

Warnings: Not much other than the implication of someone dying and leaving a mess, but no blood or death is actually seen or mentioned in the story. Gender-neutral reader. There is mention of gendered clothing but the scene is left open so that you can choose if you want fem of masc/neutral clothing.

The next day, the head maid was waiting for you to finish breakfast to give you the mansion tour. She formally introduced herself now, though she was still very uptight with you. My name is Calpurnia, "But I will be Ms. Henderson to you—and Ms. Henderson only," she told you. You just nodded and she goes off with the tour, leaving it up to you to keep up with her, both in walking and knowledge.

It was all rapid-fire, but you managed to get the gist.

All the windows are to remain with their curtains shut during the day because the wallpaper is allegedly authentic and the same that the mansion was originally built with, and the sun will bleach them of their color. The only exception is during overcast and rainy days if they have to be drawn for whatever reason.

Not many rooms are in use, like the grand dining hall, social room, guest rooms, and other such rooms. But they still have to be maintained and cleaned to avoid the chance of mold or major dust build-up.

The main kitchen, the one designated to the owners and residents, is, however, in operation, but housekeeping staff is not allowed in there.

"The staff in charge of there can clean up for themselves, but they might ask for your supplies if they're short on their own." Ms. Henderson explains.

You are allowed to clean and tend rooms with the owners in them, but you can't bother them. They do occasionally have conversations and socialize with the staff, but it's best to let them approach you first rather than approaching them.

Ms. Henderson was kind enough to give you a brief summary of who was likely to socialize, saying, "Mr. Lockley likes having company and socializes with staff the most if you're set to take care of the den room for one of your tasks. Mr. Grant's a bit of an awkward and timid man when you first meet him, but he gets chatty once he's familiar with you. Both he and Mr. Lockley like to walk about the mansion, but he's mostly holed up in the library. And then there's Mr. Spector, who sticks to his office most of the time, and he's not one for talking.". It seemed a bit more like an info dump than a 'brief summary' like she framed it to be, but with what you're here to do, it was vital.

After that, it was more rules and touring around.

The housekeeping staff works in assigned tasks around a general area, i.e., when there are tasks to be done in a certain location of the mansion, members of the staff are randomly assigned to that area, and those tasks. Depending on how big that task is, you might be put into a little group who were also assigned to the same task, and you all work together. But more commonly, you'd work a task along with others nearby in case you need anything. You can also trade tasks with other people designated to that area if you wish, but you have to run it by her first.

No going into the attic without permission. If you need something from the attic, then you ask for the key, get whatever it is that's needed, leave, and re-lock the attic door.

You asked why the attic was so off-limits, and all Ms. Henderson said was, "Too many snoopers and slack-offs going up there." and carried on.

There were a lot of other rules, but those were the main ones, it seemed. The only minor rule that you remembered was when you stumbled upon a cat walking around the halls at some point during the tour. It was a pretty-looking black cat that stopped as it trotted past the two of you to give you a sniff.

"There's a cat here?" you ask as you extend your hand to give them more to check out. Ms. Henderson sighed, "We've always kept a cat here." she explained. "They're meant to be mousers, but we hardly get any, so all they do is sit around, get their fur everywhere, and scratch up the carpet and sofa legs." Ms. Henderson sneers slightly before shrugging, claiming, "But Mr. Lockley and Mr. Grant are fond of them. So she's here.".

"This one's name is Lucy," she says. "You can pet her if you like but she's on a strict feeding schedule. 'To save room for mice'." Henderson informs before moving along. You manage to give Lucy a few pets before she also carries on down the hall.

After a bit more walking, your tour was interrupted by a young woman dressed in a similar uniform to Ms. Henderson, finding you two and calling out to her.

"Jules, what are you doing running around for me? You're assigned to the laundry room." Ms. Henderson scolds her in a firm tone.

"We're out of bleach." the girl, now known as Jules, informs her.

"Then go get a bottle from the utility closet-" Ms. Henderson orders her before Jules cuts her off by saying, "We've used all of it. There is no more bleach in the utility closet." before apologizing for her rudeness. Ms. Henderson looks puzzled and shocked at the information. "Used it all? My god, it couldn't have been that bad to use it all up," she responds.

"You didn't see it, Ms. Henderson. We've been at it for days with the stains! They left so much b-!" Jules exclaims before stopping herself mid-sentence and redirecting into a new one, "I wanted to ask if there might be any more somewhere else?" she asked.

Ms. Henderson took a moment to think before looking at you briefly and then turning back to Jules. "I believe there might be some with the kitchen staff. I'll get it and see if I can get the stains out. You can call the supplier for more." she instructs her before adding, "But catch go outside and catch your breath first. If you had to use that much bleach then you should get some fresh air before you pass out.".

As Jules nods and walks away with a "Yes, ma'am.", she turns to you, "I'm sure you can figure out the rest of the mansion. You can go back to your room and find something to do while you wait for us to get your uniform ready." she says.

You nod but ask, "Shouldn't I be fitted?".

Ms. Henderson looks back at you, confused like she was with Jules. "I don't know if you can tell, but we aren't in the old fashion black dresses with white aprons and suits here. We have general sizes. You find what fits right enough, and you keep it." she remarks.

"Then shouldn't I just be given the array and choose?" you question.

She rolls her eyes and says, "You just got the tour, we're a bit short in your size range, and we're still waiting on the other new arrival. Don't be so eager to dust and vacuum." before walking off.

You stand there for a moment, watching her walk off, before muttering to yourself "It was just a question." and walking back to the house staff hall.

Even though you can sense that your cover is going to be a pain in the ass with how snarky your technical boss is, you just remind yourself of the cash out you're going to get once you're out of here. Speaking of sensing things, even though it's clear daylight out, and some of the light just manages to get through the curtains, this place is still just as spooky looking as when you got here. It's still dead quiet and holds an eerie atmosphere, making you feel unsettled.

You do your best to shrug it off as you walk, looking around the place more closely now that you don't need to focus on listening to rules and whatnot. This place isn't as empty as you thought it would be. There's the occasional piece of furniture along the halls, like tables and decor, along with the occasional frame on the wall of either a painting or photo.

However, as you look along the wall, you find that they are a bit scattered, not really following any type of spacing pattern. You'd find that one photo on the wall was farther from the one before it and the picture before that. Almost like there's supposed to be another between them that just isn't there anymore. Even finding the occasional little hole in the wall where a nail might have once belonged and hadn't been covered yet. The photos are also all the same.

At first, you thought that they were all the same man, but as you looked more closely, you found little metal plaques on the frames saying different names. Well, it's more like different generations.

These were apparently all the past Spectors over the years. But it was impossible to believe that these were all different people with how much they looked alike despite the clear advances in the photos, like clearer images, changes in fashion, and the turn to color. You knew that Marc, Steven, and Jake Sr. were identical triplets, but for their genes to be so strong that all of their future sons looked exactly like them and thus each other? Impossible. And why is it only pictures of them as adults? What about their younger photos or pictures of their wives and other children?

You must have been staring at and thinking about these photos for a long time because the sound of someone clearing their throat behind you nearly scared the color out of you.

When you turn around, you find the exact same face that you've been looking at in the photos staring back at you. Except this time, it's got a mustache and a flat cap accessorizing it.

"Sorry," he says, laughing at your spooked reaction, "I didn't mean to sneak up and startle you like that," he says before extending his hand for a handshake.

"I assume you're the new hire for housekeeping since I've never seen you before," he comments.

"Yes," you answer as you take the hand shake and tell him your name.

"Jake Lockley," he introduces himself. "Nice to finally meet one of the owners, Mr. Lockley," you reply.

Jake cringes a bit at the title, "Only Señorita Henderson calls me that. You and the rest can just call me Jake." he explains.

"Speaking of her," Jake says, "Where is she? 'She leave you all by yourself?" he questions. You shake your head.

"She gave me a tour already, but she had to attend to something last minute. Something about stains and running low on bleach. She figured that I could find my way back to my room." you explain. "I was just taking everything in again so that I could learn the layout better. I hope that's okay," you tell him. "That's perfectly fine by me," Jake responds. "I was just worried that you got yourself lost in this big old place." he smiles, like he's trying to joke with you.

You smile back and assure him that you're not.

"Good, because if you started calling for help, it would take a while for someone to come find you." Jake joked again. You take a second to understand that he's joking again, which he seems to pick up instantly. "I'm joking again. Someone will definitely hear you. This place has a natural echo most of the time." he assures you, patting your hand just before walking away.

"See you around." he waves goodbye, leaving you alone again.

You move on and actually get back to your room. Leaving the rest of your looking for the next day when you actually start working.

Later on in the day, someone comes by and drops off a range of different styles of the housekeeping uniform. There's not much to pick from. They're all the same color, black, and there were only two style options. A plain below-the-knee-length dress with short sleeves that was a bit boxy on its own if you didn't use the optional belt loops that were around the waist, and the other was a similarly styled collared button-up with matching plain pants. You picked one and gave the rest back to your future co-worker, who informed you that you're free to add more, like an under-shirt or thermal and other such things, as long as you don't alter the uniform itself.

You then take out your journal and write down what you've observed.

"Got a tour of the place and learned some base rules. The weirdest ones were about the curtains staying closed during the day and staying out of the main kitchen. Unsure what that's about. I'll have to ask around once I meet other employees. Also, do they use a lot of bleach? I heard mention of a 'supplier' for the bleach? Unsure what that's about.

The pictures are weird here. They're all the Jr.s of the senior triplets, and no pictures of them when they're older or their partners or children. Didn't really get to ask about it, but I did meet Jake Lockley. Seems friendly and has good humor, but it's a little weird. I also couldn't help but feel like I've heard his voice somewhere, though. Like I've met him before? I don't know. Maybe he just has a generic voice? I'm sure it's nothing.

I got my uniform now, and we're just waiting on the other new person before I'm set to start learning the ropes and working. One of my uniforms smells weird, though. Like bleach and dye? Maybe they recycle uniforms, and they just cleaned it and had to retouch it before they gave it to me. They were talking about bleach earlier, so maybe that's it.

That's all I have for now. I guess I'll just wait."
