I went for it and yeah, this is just the optimal way for me to play this game. I don't mind opting for freebuild and no death because it's still fun to roleplay like I'm an actual spaceship crash survivor. Just needed to take like half an hour to set up a bitching base camp first.

Why do I low key wanna start a fresh subnautica playthrough on whatever gamemode gets rid of dying. (I think it's just creative mode at that point.... Maybe?) Like I never finished the game on my full survival playthrough and i kinda miss the exploration and base building.

#aesa rambles #it's hilarous to me that there was an update to the game like #a few months after i'd last played #so there were a few new buildable objects that i majorly fuck with #i did not want to deal with living out of a bunch of connected hallways - gimme that large room with a glass ceiling #this is also the furthest i've gotten discovering what hapoened with the degasi survivors #the recording of the son on the top of the island made me ;n;#which is absolutely Not just bc he sounded kinda like joshua rosfield no no it was also very emotional
