Warnings: kissing, sad Lia :(.
Lia Wälti x Reader:
Moving on, together.
MasterList
The air inside Lia Wälti’s apartment was heavy with silence, the kind that lingered after too many nights spent alone and too many tears shed over someone who had already moved on. Lia sat curled up on the couch, a blanket wrapped around her as she stared blankly at the TV. The movie playing was one she’d seen a dozen times before, but she wasn’t paying attention.
Her thoughts kept drifting back to Caitlin. Specifically, Caitlin and Katie. It wasn’t just that Caitlin had moved on so quickly after their breakup; it was who she’d moved on with. Katie McCabe—bright, fiery, and impossible to ignore. Seeing them together was like a fresh wound every time.
A knock on the door interrupted her spiraling thoughts. Lia hesitated before getting up, dragging herself to the door.
When she opened it, there you were—Y/n Y/l/n her closest friend, holding a bottle of wine in one hand and a bag of snacks in the other.
“I come bearing gifts,” you announced with a grin, stepping inside without waiting for an invitation.
“Y/n,” Lia said softly, her voice heavy with exhaustion. “You didn’t have to come over.”
You shrugged, setting the wine and snacks on the coffee table. “I know. But I wanted to.”
Lia offered a small, grateful smile before sinking back onto the couch. You joined her, uncorking the wine and pouring two glasses.
“Alright,” you said, handing her a glass. “What are we watching?”
Lia gestured vaguely at the TV. “I don’t even know. Something mindless.”
You nodded, settling in beside her. “Mindless is good. But I’m here for more than just wine and movies, you know. If you need to talk, I’m all ears.”
Lia hesitated, staring down at her wine glass. “It’s just… hard,” she admitted finally. “Seeing them together. I thought I was over it, but every time I see them, it feels like I’m back at square one.”
You placed a comforting hand on her knee. “It’s okay to feel that way, Lia. You loved her. You don’t just turn that off overnight.”
Lia looked up at you, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. “Why does it feel like I’m the only one still hurting?”
“Because you’re human,” you said gently. “And because you cared deeply. But that doesn’t mean you’ll feel this way forever. It’ll get better. I promise.”
Weeks Turn Into Months
Over the next few months, you made it your mission to help Lia heal. You were there for her through everything—venting sessions, spontaneous movie nights, and even awkward encounters at team events where Caitlin and Katie were inevitably present. You never pushed her to move on before she was ready, but you gently encouraged her to take small steps toward rebuilding her happiness.
And slowly but surely, she began to heal.
What neither of you anticipated, however, was how the constant proximity and shared vulnerability would lead to something more. Lia found herself looking forward to your visits in a way that went beyond friendship. She’d catch herself staring at you when you weren’t looking, her heart skipping a beat every time you smiled at her.
It scared her. After everything she’d been through with Caitlin, the thought of opening her heart again felt impossible.
One evening, after a particularly long day of training, you and Lia found yourselves back on her couch, sharing a pizza and laughing over something silly. Lia was sprawled out on one end, her legs stretched across your lap.
“You’re terrible at this game,” she teased, watching as you struggled to beat her high score on a mobile app.
“I’m just warming up,” you retorted, your tongue poking out in concentration.
Lia laughed, the sound light and genuine. It was a sound you hadn’t heard from her in months, and it made your chest tighten with warmth.
“Thank you,” she said suddenly, her tone soft.
You looked up from your phone, surprised. “For what?”
“For… everything,” Lia said, her gaze meeting yours. “I don’t know what I would’ve done without you these past few months.”
You smiled, reaching out to take her hand. “You don’t have to thank me, Lia. I care about you. That’s what friends are for.”
Lia’s breath hitched at the word friends. She wanted to tell you how much you meant to her, how her feelings had shifted into something deeper. But the fear of ruining what you already had held her back.
Instead, she squeezed your hand and said, “You’re amazing, you know that?”
It happened on a quiet night, weeks later. You were in Lia’s kitchen, washing the dishes after making dinner together. Lia stood beside you, drying them with a towel.
“Do you ever think about… us?” Lia asked suddenly, her voice tentative.
You paused, glancing at her. “Us?”
Lia hesitated, her cheeks flushing. “I mean… how close we’ve gotten. How different things feel between us now.”
Your heart began to race. “Yeah,” you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper. “I’ve thought about it.”
Lia set the towel down, her hands trembling slightly. “I think I’m in love with you,” she blurted out, the words tumbling from her lips before she could stop them.
Silence filled the room as you stared at her, stunned. Lia’s face turned red, and she looked away, her chest rising and falling rapidly.
“I’m sorry,” she said quickly. “I shouldn’t have said that. I don’t want to ruin—”
You stepped closer, cutting her off by gently taking her face in your hands. “Lia,” you said softly, tilting her head to meet your gaze. “You didn’t ruin anything.”
Before she could respond, you leaned in, pressing your lips to hers. The kiss was tender and hesitant, filled with all the emotions that had been building between you for months. Lia froze for a moment, her breath catching, before melting into the kiss, her arms wrapping around your waist.
When you finally pulled back, Lia looked at you with wide eyes, her cheeks flushed. “Does this mean…?”
You smiled, brushing a strand of hair from her face. “It means I feel the same way.”
The weeks that followed were a whirlwind of stolen moments and cautious steps as you and Lia navigated the shift in your relationship. There were more kisses—on the couch during movie nights, in the kitchen while making dinner, and even after training sessions when no one was looking.
But there was also fear. Lia worried about opening her heart fully, about what might happen if things didn’t work out. One night, as you sat together on her balcony, watching the stars, she voiced her concerns.
“I’m scared,” she admitted, her fingers laced with yours.
“Of what?” you asked gently.
“Of losing you,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper. “You’ve become so important to me. I don’t want to mess this up.”
You turned to face her, your expression serious. “Lia, I’m not Caitlin. I’m not going anywhere. Whatever happens, we’ll figure it out together.”
Lia’s eyes filled with tears, and she leaned in, capturing your lips in a kiss that was both desperate and filled with hope.
For the first time in a long time, she allowed herself to believe in love again. And this time, it felt like home.

If you think that all Fiyero has in terms of characteristics in wicked, then I would encourage you to re-watch the musical because you've missed quite a lot! I'll give you that some of it's a bit subtle because he's not in very many scenes but we get quite a lot from him
- as you said he presents like he doesn't care when he does - I don't think that's that shallow a personality trait though? It leads to quite a lot of questions about why he is that way, what has made him, a boy who has come from even more privileged than Glinda, care so much more about the Animals and generally making the world a better place than her? Why has he felt the need to hide it? Is it some degree of childhood trauma (the San Francisco previews of the musical has him state that before Elphaba he didn't believe that love was real)? Is it an inability to make a difference? Does he have some learning difficulty like ADHD or dyslexia which has made him not very book smart so he felt better pretending not to care? It's also so wonderful to see how his interactions with Elphaba inspire him to make this change.
- he's incredibly smart, somewhat ironic given he becomes the scarecrow, but I think he's the most intelligent of the group! He basically runs act 2. If it was not for him, Elphaba would have been captured in the throne room (possibly Glinda too as she tried to help her escape), Elphaba would have been captured in the cornfield and Elphaba wouldn't have had the plan to fake her own death. Honestly, his girls would be lost without him! Elphaba inspires him to do good, but Fiyero is needed as her calm, to help her think before her actions and to keep her safe.
- he's the best politician of the group, he's the only one with any degree of impulse control, while both Elphaba and Glinda tend to react and think about consequences later, Fiyero takes a step back, works out what to do and what best to say to people to get what he wants, even if it means appearing on the wrong side. It's sort of sad that, after doubtless driving his parents mad by flunking school, he would have probably made an excellent king.
- morso in the movie than in the musical, but he's just incredibly kind! Unlike Glinda, he doesn't judge Elphaba by her skin colour, works out remarkably quickly that she's wearing a mask too and tries his best to get her out of it. He doesn't want her to change, or temper her feelings to fit with what is normal (like literally everyone else in her life) and loves her for exactly who she is. This is why he works so well with Elphaba, here's the only person, who will sit and tell her to be herself and mean it, he is the person who can tell her that she is valuable and is allowed to do stuff for herself, rather than just trying to help or please others. We also see in the musical, a concerted effort to make it up to Glinda after running away with Elphaba, he expresses straight after "as long as your mine" that he hopes someday they'll all make up and apologizes to her in the next scene.
I don't really think you get much less personality from Fiyero than Glinda really? I mean when you boil down Glinda's traits you get privileged and spoilt, somewhat spiteful but not overly unkind (though I would argue her initial befriending of Elphaba is almost as rushed as Fiyero's love for her), a very set plan of what she wants in life, a little impulsive, and cares a bit about doing good but not enough to uproot her own life.
You have to look slightly harder, but it's all there in the text, Fiyero is a nuanced character, with his own personality, ambitions and goals. They just tend to align with Elphaba's, as the two of them share such similar morals.
Also, I think it's a little unfair to say that Elphaba longing to be with Glinda as well, makes Fiyero any less important to her, considering she sung a whole song about how terrible her life was and that she was going to give up, when she thought Fiyero was dead!
Fiyerabas love to get on Twitter and tumblr and say stuff like “well fiyero would’ve went with Elphaba in a heartbeat” and act as if that’s a groundbreaking statement. We know what happens in act 2. We know he leaves everything behind for her. The reason why Glinda can’t do that is because she’s an actual nuanced character that has depth to her. She has something to lose. We see how she was brought up in the world. We know that she is a coward. Why WOULDN’T fiyero go with Elphaba? Nothing about his character is complex enough for that to be an option.
Fiyero’s whole character is built on a single characteristic (pretending not to care when he actually does) that is so underdeveloped it’s actually laughable. Why does he pretend not to care? There is not a single thing about him that actually tells us why he acts like that. It just comes out as him being an annoying jerk, even in the movie. His whole character arc is pretending not to care and then caring because of Elphaba. OF COURSE he’d go with her. That’s what his whole personality is based on.
Not to mention the fact that even with him being Elphaba’s ride or die, he’s still boring and his decision to be with her is incredibly unmoving. No one would expect anything else. And even with them ending up together, Elphaba still longs to be with Glinda. She still longs to tell her she’s alive. Fiyero is a boring annoying consolation prize that is a flat and undeveloped “what if” twist on Glinda if she wasn’t as much of a coward as she is. Idgaf

Febuwhump Collab Day 4 (& 22) — Obedience, “you weren’t meant to be there”
This one I wrote with two prompts in mind, and as I was going along I realized it also fits with the day 17 one as well (hostage situation) so three at once! I feel bad for Time, I’m always giving him a hard time in this au...
Warning for some injuries, some violence, and a gun that gets waved around in a threatening manner
Today’s lovely art
Ao3 link
————————————————————
Time drove down the street with the windows down in his car, enjoying the cool air that blew inside and ruffled his hair. It was a lovely afternoon, and he was glad to not be wasting it in an office.
Some kind of maintenance for the building he worked in had forced Time out of his office, and with nothing better to do, he’d been allowed to take the rest of the day off. He was looking forward to being home alone with Malon for a bit before his sons returned from school, and was already relishing the quiet they’d get to enjoy.
...Assuming, of course, that there wasn’t anything else that required his attention in the meantime.
Time sighed. Ever since supers had been (somewhat reluctantly) legalized again, it seemed like the crime rate had doubled to try and make up for it. Every other day he was stopping a bank robbery, or mugging, or any number of random misdeeds. He was endlessly relieved they were all no longer classified as illegal, and they’d fought hard for it, but... it was starting to get exhausting.
As if on cue, the music from the radio was cut off, and a news anchor began spouting off a report of an in-progress museum robbery.
Disappointment washed over him, and Time sighed and changed lanes, turning away from home and towards the direction of the museum. Malon would have been listening to the radio as well, and she would know he would go to help.
So much for our quiet afternoon.
Putting aside his disappointment, Time turned up the radio to hear the details better, mentally forming a plan for when he got the Hyrule Museum of History. The robbers had gone to the wing where the gems and older artifacts were housed, and had apparently blockaded themselves inside. He couldn’t believe they were brash enough to attempt a theft in broad daylight, at the largest museum in town at that...
But then again, perhaps they want some publicity, Time thought with a snort. There were always criminals around trying to make themselves out as bigger then they were.
The woman on the radio continued with the details, and Time suddenly jerked his head down to stare at it as she repeated the name of the building.
A robbery at the Hyrule Museum of History.
The same museum where several of his children had a field trip scheduled for today.
Time breathed in sharply and stepped on the gas, navigating towards the museum with an increased urgency. Not all of the grades were scheduled to be there at the same time, but there was at least one group that was supposed to still be at the museum now, and three of his sons had been there today.
No, calm down, he berated himself, getting honked at as he narrowly made it through a light, you know they can all handle a crisis, they’ve proved that. And they might not even be there anymore.
It was completely possible that all of their classes had finished and had already gone back to the school, or that the school groups were on the opposite side of the building from where the robbers were. Or maybe his sons had been evacuated with everyone else and would be waiting outside when Time got there, wanting to help out.
Maybe.
Time reached the museum in record time, though the trip seemed to take forever. He ducked into an alley and changed into his gear at lightning speed, then ran for the building, sirens in his ears.
There was a whole crowd of people outside, confused kids and frightened adults, police and security guards trying to maintain order through the clamor. Time left the police to their business of corralling civilians— though he made sure to scan the crowd for three familiar heads, heart sinking when he didn’t find a single one— and went through a side door, out of way of the crowd.
The officer guarding the inside jumped at the sight of him, but quickly realized who he was, directing him to where the robbers had gone with a relieved look.
“We got a report that there’s some kids missing from a school group, Mr. Deity,” he warned before Time went on his way. “It’s possible they’re in the wing the robbers sealed off, but we haven’t been able to get inside to check yet.“
Time’s stomach clenched, but he nodded, and headed for the section that housed ancient jewelry.
The halls were eerily quiet apart from Time’s rapid bootsteps, normally crowded halls foreboding and empty. He didn’t go to the main doorway of the wing, knowing that’s what the robbers would expect, and also where the police would be focusing their efforts, and instead went for one of the smaller doors.
Sure enough there were no police there, only an entrance blocked off by a huge fallen statue of some kind. Time had no trouble moving it aside enough that he could get through, and began running again, his heart in his throat.
Please, please let them be outside, please—
It was even quieter in this section, and Time didn’t pass a soul as he ran past paintings and bones, ancient armor and swords displayed proudly on the walls. Yet the thieves must have hidden a lookout somewhere, for when Time turned the corner into the room housing the most rare pieces, they were waiting for him.
There were at least six of them visible, wearing dark clothing and masks that covered most of their faces. All were armed with guns, most pointed in Time’s direction, but one was pointing towards the group of kids huddled in the center of the room.
Legend right in the line of fire.
Panic and anger roared to life in Time’s chest, but he shoved them away, forcing himself to remain collected in front of the group of criminals. Showing weakness would do nothing but give them an advantage, and despite the fact that he wanted to do nothing but charge forward and get Legend out of there, he remained where he was.
Legend locked eyes with Time, and the relief in his gaze made Time’s hands threaten to shake.
“Hm, Fierce Deity,” the man pointing the gun at the kids said, levelly meeting his gaze. His mask seemed more sinister than the rest. “The report indicated that you were not the most likely hero to show up here today.”
“Let them go,” Time demanded, the other kids watching him in frightened hope. He recognized them as ones from Legend’s class, thankfully no more of his sons among them. “These kids were just here for a field trip, don’t mix them up in this.”
The man crept closer to Legend. “They will be fine if you allow us to leave with what we came for.”
“They’re just kids,” Time said, voice darkened with anger. The man looked at him in an almost bored way, then back down at Legend. “What is it you even came here to steal?”
“That’s our business,” the leader said with a smile in his voice. “Now drop your weapon, and they will be fine.”
Time breathed out, scanning the room again before returning his gaze to Legend. His son was too far for him to reach before anything happened, the other kids as well, and even if there was a remote chance he could get Legend out of the way, it was unlikely he could protect all of the hostages.
You should have been more stealthy coming in—
“D— Fierce Deity,” Legend said in a soft, urgent voice, and Time looked at his son with increasing desperation. “Don’t listen to him, just get everyone else out of here, I’ll be—”
The gun was pressed to Legend’s head, the click of it being cocked near deafening to Time’s ears.
“Put your weapon down, or he gets a bullet through the head,” the man said softly. One of the other kids whimpered. “Swiftly followed by the rest of them.”
Time looked between the man and Legend, seconds ticking by loudly in his head. It was a nightmare knowing he had the power to stop every thief in the room, but being unable to do a thing. He had to stop them, but he couldn’t do anything, not without risking Legend, or any of the other kids, not unless he—
Legend’s lip trembled, almost imperceptibly, and Time exhaled as he bowed his head.
Then he dropped his weapon.
Legend gave him an agonized look as Time raised his hands in surrender, and though Time couldn’t see the man who was still holding the gun to his head’s face, he was sure he was smirking at them both.
Rage abruptly slammed into Time, more powerful then any of the emotions he’d been dealing with so far, and he gave the robber a look of pure hatred. How dare he mix these kids up in a stupid scheme that was doubtless just to make some money?
No lives were worth a couple of pretty rocks, no matter how rare.
“Get on your knees,” the man demanded next, a hint of glee in his voice, and Time grit his teeth and did as he said.
The other robbers jeered as he kneeled down, and closed their circle around him, one kicking at his legs to make him go down faster. A fist suddenly connected with his face, and Time flinched backwards, laughter ringing in his ears. Another blow hit him on the knee, pain bursting up his leg, and he forced himself not to react.
“You’re not going to fight back?” one of them mocked, making him gasp as he jabbed him in the stomach. “It’d be so easy, just one little punch!”
“Let them go and I’ll give you a fight,” Time growled, but the man with the gun shook his head.
“No, I’m enjoying myself too much. Leaving can wait, the Fierce Deity at our mercy is too good of an opportunity to pass up on,” he chuckled. “Rough him up boys, this could be our break into the big time if word gets out.”
Time barely had time to brace himself before the blows began to rain down, all of the robbers eager to swing a punch or two his way.
Now part of Time’s powers was increased durability, his body able to handle much more strain and abuse than any normal person. But he wasn’t invincible in any sense of the word, and the robbers all had extremely hard boots and gloves, and a few had weapons that slammed into and jabbed at sensitive points all over him.
And he didn’t dare fight back.
By the time they were finished knocking him around, Time had a split lip and bruised ribs, and he wasn’t confident his knee would hold his weight. But despite the pounding in his head and the sharp ache radiating up from his middle, Legend was still unharmed, and so were the other kids.
That was all that mattered.
Time breathed in and met Legend’s eyes for a second, his son’s blue gaze wide and equally angry and fearful as they looked at each other.
“You’ve had your fun,” Time said in a voice more hoarse then before. “Now do what you said, and let them go.”
The leader idly twirled his gun, the barrel no longer pressed to Legend’s head, but still much too close to it. “I don’t think so. I don’t want any funny business from you. They’ll come with us until we’re well on our way, and then they’ll be freed.”
The fire in Time’s stomach roared. “You said you’d let them go if I dropped my weapon.”
“Your own fault for trusting the word of a thief,” the leader shrugged, and Time nearly leapt at him then and there. “We’ll be on our way now. And if you decide to follow us before we’re gone, this little group here might just—”
Someone dropped from the ceiling and landed on top of the man.
He let out a shocked cry as he was thrown to the ground, and Time realized Wild had been the one to drop from above, fully in his costume, and Hyrule and Malon soon dropped down along with him.
Relief swept over Time at the sight of his wife and other two missing sons, both safe and sound. Despite the pain when he moved, he swung out at the nearest robber, who took his punch full on the chin and fell to the ground, immediately unconscious.
A gun went off somewhere, but the familiar sound of the bullet being stopped by Hyrule’s shield rang in Time’s ears. A shriek accompanied it, and Time saw his wife hustling the kids back and away from the fight.
“We got what we came for, let’s go!” the leader of the thieves shouted, having somehow wrestled himself away from Wild, and they all sprinted out into a hallway.
Wild’s face screwed up in anger and he bolted after them, Hyrule following close behind. Malon didn’t immediately follow though, pausing at Time’s side and putting a concerned hand on his face.
“Are you okay?” she breathed worriedly, running her thumb by his split lip. “I heard on the radio, I came as soon as I realized, but I had to find the boys first—”
“You need to get those kids out of here,” Time interrupted softly, clasping her hand for just a moment. Malon scanned over him, then nodded, her eyes worried behind her mask.
“You’re right. We can regroup in a bit,” she murmured, and Time pressed the briefest of kisses to her hand.
Malon quickly stood and went back to the group of kids, giving Legend only a short squeeze on the shoulder since she was in costume and wasn’t supposed to know him. She began ushering them out in a different direction than the bandits had gone, and Time watched them leave, relieved they were all fine.
Stumbling slowly to his feet as they trailed out of the room, Time winced as he put weight on his one leg. He’d certainly had worse, but unless Hyrule was willing to help him along, he’d probably need a doctor. Relaxing afternoon indeed.
Legend suddenly materialized at his side as he managed to stand, his face still pale from what had just happened, eyes wide as they looked him over.
Time didn’t hesitate to bundle him into a tight hug.
His ribs ached with the action but Time didn’t care, and he ignored the way his hand shook as he ran it through Legend’s hair. Legend hugged him back equally tight, and Time rested his head on top of his, relief threatening to send him to the ground again.
“Dad, I’m okay,” Legend said, his voice shaking a little.
“I know. I know you are,” Time breathed. He didn’t let go though, and neither did Legend, and Time ran another hand through his hair, still unable to get the image of Legend with a gun pressed to his temple out of his head.
If even one thing had gone differently...
Time silenced the thought before it could form, and gave Legend a squeeze.
“You shouldn’t have let them do that to you,” Legend said, his voice unusually quiet, and Time sighed, pulling back just a little.
“I couldn’t let them hurt you,” he replied, cupping a gentle hand around Legend’s chin. Legend swallowed and averted his gaze. “And I can handle a few punches. That’s nothing in comparison to what he would have done to you and the others.”
And I would endure it thousands of times if it ensured your safety.
“You still shouldn’t have,” Legend mumbled.
“But I did. And I’m okay,” Time reassured, ignoring every ache that protested the fact. “This wasn’t your fault, Legend.”
Legend only closed his eyes, and Time drew him near again, Legend’s hair brushing his chin.
“I’m okay,” Time reassured again, this time in a whisper. “We’re both okay.”
Legend gripped a little tighter at Time’s suit, Time’s hand running over his hair, and they stood there in silence for what felt like a long time before pulling back, and joining the fight with the others.

You knew your relationship with Clark would be complicated from the moment you learned about his special abilities. You always knew he was far from ordinary, you just thought his greatness had more mundane roots —his kindness, his empathy, the way he cared about everyone and how he always surprised you by remembering even the smallest details, all the normal things that made you fall in love with him. You'd be lying if you said you weren't surprised to learn the truth, but it also explained a lot —the way he sometimes seemed to be able to be on two sides at the same time, his incredible strength and great sense of hearing. It made you worry about the kinds of dangers he faced every day as Superman, but it also made you love him even more. So you decided that you would stay by his side knowing full well that your relationship would be far from normal.
Through it all, you managed to make things work. Clark was very good at keeping his identity secret to protect you. And you were great at pretending that his long absences didn't bother you, making him feel better when he was late for your anniversary dinner after a year of marriage. To be honest, it wasn't always that terrible. You did have plenty of moments of blissful intimacy, away from the outside world and the dangers it presented. And it was wonderful. You loved spending quality time with your husband, even if it was just sitting in silence working to meet some deadline for work. Just knowing he was there with you was enough to make you feel happy, loved.
The problem you had now was that he was spending less and less time at home. He came home late every night, exhausted after a long day at work —both as Clark at the Daily Planet and as Superman helping people in danger. And in the mornings you were lucky if you got to have breakfast together. He always tried to make time for you, to spend a romantic evening at a nice restaurant or curl up on the couch to watch a movie, but somehow work always got in the way. If it wasn't Perry calling him to cover an urgent story for the paper, it was a person in danger crying out for Superman.
It was frustrating because you felt you couldn't say no. Clark would always ask your opinion before doing anything, looking at you with those beautiful blue eyes while assuring you that if you said no, he would stay where he was. But how could you say no when a child in danger cried for their hero or a tragic accident required his presence? There was no way your conscience would let you live with that decision.
You knew his work was important. Both inside and outside the newspaper, he helped people. People in vulnerable situations, people in danger, people who needed to be heard. It was truly noble of him and you admired him for his determination to make the world a better place. That was the biggest reason why you didn't say anything, but the truth was that you missed him.
You missed coming home from work and finding him waiting for you, asking you how your day had been the moment you walked through the front door. You missed going to sleep next to him at night after spending hours sharing work stories over dinner. You missed the warmth of his body wrapping around you in the cold mornings and hearing his voice raspy with sleep wishing you good morning when he still had his eyes closed. In the last few weeks you were lucky if he made it to dinner. Going to sleep alone and waking up alone in the mornings had become your routine. And you hated it.
That morning was no exception. When you opened your eyes you found the left side of the bed empty. Your arms clung tighter to Clark's pillow, inhaling his scent to make you feel less lonely. It was supposed to be his day off, but you wouldn't be surprised if Perry had called him last minute or some catastrophe had gotten him out of bed early. You had barely seen him last night. Clark had arrived late when you were already asleep and you only managed to mumble his name in the dark and hug him when he lay down next to you, and now he wasn't next to you when you woke up either. The day had barely begun and you already wanted it to end.
Letting out a long sigh, you decided it would be best to get up and do something to distract your mind. Clark wasn't there and it wasn't going to do your mental health any good to stay in bed crying all morning. So you dragged your feet lazily to the bathroom, going about your morning routine before leaving the room to prepare breakfast.
Only the moment you opened the door you were assaulted by the smell of freshly brewed coffee. You frowned in confusion, wondering if perhaps you had mistakenly left the coffee maker running all night. However, when you entered the kitchen you discovered that it was no mistake. Standing in front of the stove was Clark, flipping pancakes and cutting up some fruit while humming to himself.
You couldn't help but smile as you watched him move. He still had his pajama pants on and his hair was a mess. You took advantage of the fact that his back was turned to you to admire him silently as a warm and fuzzy feeling spread through you. The sadness disappeared from your system as you watched him carefully stack the pancakes, taking his time to decorate them with little pieces of fruit just the way you liked. He looked adorable, bent over the counter as he arranged breakfast on a tray, ready to be taken to bed. You wanted to run over and hug him, but before you could move from the doorway Clark turned, finally sensing your presence.
"What are you doing there? You're supposed to be sleeping." he said and you could swear he sounded disappointed to see you there. "I wanted to surprise you with breakfast in bed."
You walked into the kitchen. Just a couple of steps and you were in front of him, wrapping your arms around his naked torso and resting your head on his chest as you hugged him. Clark reciprocated right away, planting a kiss on the top of your head as he breathed in the scent of your hair.
"I'm sorry," you pouted, lifting your head from his chest to look at him. "We can go back to bed if you want."
Clark answered you with a kiss, his lips caressing yours gently. It was a quick kiss, but it still managed to take your breath away.
"What's the occasion?" You asked as you broke away, stealing a strawberry from the pancakes and popping it into your mouth. It wasn't your anniversary or your birthday and it wasn't Valentine's Day, so you wondered what had prompted Clark to make such a gesture to you.
"I wanted to apologize... I know I haven't been around much and I know it's not easy for you, even though you are too nice to tell me."
"Clark..." You wanted to intervene, but he silenced you by resting his index finger on your lips.
"I need you to know that you're important to me, more important than anything else." Clark slid his hand up to your cheek, his fingers caressing your skin gently. He gave you a warm smile, losing himself for a moment in the bright light of your eyes. "Do you remember what I told you the day I asked you to marry me? I said with these powers I could see the beauty of the universe, the flowers blooming on the other side of the planet or dying stars exploding in brilliant light thousands of miles away, and yet, the day I meet you I knew I had to be with you because for the first time in my life the only thing in the universe worth looking at was right there in front of me. That is still true. It will always be true, angel."
"Damn it, smallville!" You let out a giggle, feeling the tears building up in your eyes as you remembered that day —one of the happiest days of your life. You hated the way he always knew exactly what to say to make you feel better, it made being mad at him really hard.
Clark smiled at you, his blue eyes shining with love in them as he gently wiped away a tear that had escaped and rolled down your cheek. "You're the most important thing in my life and I'm sorry I haven't been showing it these past months. I promise you I'll be better in the future. I'll try harder to make this work, to make us work."
"I know this is hard for you too, baby." You said, letting your hands fall from his shoulders to his chest. You knew Clark wasn't neglecting you on purpose. You knew it hurt him as much as it hurt you to be away or to miss a date you had been planning for a long time. Balancing his normal life and his superhero life had always been one of his biggest challenges.
"I know you love me and I know you care about me, you don't have to doubt that. I knew things were going to be difficult sometimes the day I said yes. I understand how important being Superman is to you, it is who you are and I love you for that too. I just... miss you sometimes, but I'm sure we're going to find a way to work this out. We always do."
"I swear if I could love you more I would explode." Clark smiled at you before taking your face in his hands again and pressing his lips together. You couldn't help but smile into the kiss, feeling that familiar warmth fill you inside. It was the comforting warmth of love, of the happiness it gave you to be in Clark's arms after so much loneliness.
That was the Clark you missed so much. The loving husband who wrapped his arms around you and kissed you until his lips were tired. The one who showered you with compliments until you were flustered. The one who didn't hesitate to show you how much he loved you with sweet words or cute details. It had been so long since you had the chance to be alone like that, sharing such an intimate moment, that you almost forgot how good it felt when Clark kissed you or how safe you felt when he put his arms around you. It was a beautiful feeling that you could only describe as the touch of true love. You never wanted to forget it, you were willing to do anything not to lose it.
"I love you too." You murmured against Clark's lips, giving him a quick peck before pulling away from him. "Now, about that breakfast..."
Clark let out a chuckle. "Go back to bed, I'll be there in a second."

Oh..I think you’re holding the heart of mine..
Characters: Solivan Brugmansia/gn!reader
Cw: fluff, mentions of marriage, crushes, love at first sight (?), mentions of kidnapping, yandere themes…
A/n: This is based off day two of The kid at the back :] hope you guys enjoy!
Tumblr media
(E/c) eyes lingered across the room, trying to distract themselves from the crimson orbs that stared at their figure, drawing it with a smile. Portraits aren’t that difficult when you know how to draw, except, their skills were quite rough, unlike Sol who was nearly finishing it, looking back and forth between y/n and his paper. Blush covered part of his cheeks, placing his sketchbook down while locking eyes with them
“Is it done?” Y/n asked, sighing as the bell rung across the hallway
“Not yet, you’ll have to wait until tomorrow” He responded with a soft smile, one they’ve rarely seen the times they saw him.
Going their separate ways, y/n found their group in the hallway making small talk as they arrived. It wasn’t long until Sol and his friend appeared, chatting as Sol’s gaze landed on them. Feeling a bit curious, Y/n excuses themselves, parting away from their friends while approaching Sol.
“You must be Y/n! Sol’s told me about you..he’s right, you are kind of cute..” The guy before them spoke while chuckling as Sol sighed, blushing while glaring at his friend
“Anyways, I’m Hyugo! We were just about to eat lunch on the roof, would you like to join?” Y/n looked back briefly at their group. Perhaps something different wouldn’t be so bad today. Crowe however, noticed their sudden disappearance, his sad gaze lingered as they left with the two boys walking across the small corridor.
“I’d love to..!” Hyugo chuckled as the three of them headed towards the roof. Upon arrival, Sol handed Hyugo a bento box filled with his favorite food. It didn’t take long for them to dig in as Y/n looked around the roof, admiring the city and the view it provided.
“Have you eaten yet, y/n?” Sol inquired, staring at their hands that fidgeted around their shirt. ‘hm, cute’ he thought. The sudden question returned them back to reality while answering.
“I didn’t get to eat anything but it’s okay, I’ll grab something later-“ Before they could finish their sentence, Solivan had already taken out the other box he had saved for later.
“I made three boxes today, just in case Hyugo’s appetite was insatiable so..you can take it”
“Are you sure? I mean..” Without any hesitation, Sol had already opened up the lunch box, handing them the tasty food he prepared while smiling, reaching for some utensils.
“You made this all by yourself? It looks so good..!” Y/n praised, taking the utensils Sol provided for them as Hyugo chimed in, swallowing his food gently while speaking
“Sol’s cooking is the best! He’d make a good househusband, don’t you think?” Hearing this, Sol blushed after seeing them nod, maybe being a househusband for Y/n wouldn’t be such a terrible idea after all..
“I think so too, maybe even one day, we could get married as well” They half-joked, watching as Solivan’s smile widened, taking hold of Y/n’s hand and bringing it forth, kissing their knuckles gently
“I’d..love that, no one could ever keep us apart.” Y/n’s eyes drifted to Sol’s gaze, watching as he pressed his cheek against their hand lovingly. Hyugo was nowhere to be seen as the bell rang. After packing everything up, Sol’s hand remained intertwined with their own
“Me and Hyugo were thinking of ditching class, he wanted to see a movie..what do you think?” Upon reaching the corridor, Y/n turned, facing Sol’s body that nearly towered over theirs while leaning forward
“I..-” Looking back at the door of their next class and Crowe who had suddenly exited the room,y/n nodded “-Fuck it, let’s skip.” With that, Sol escorted them towards their secret escape place, not bothered by the glare Crowe had given him as they left.
Tumblr media
Due to Hyugo’s request to see the latest movie in theaters, the trio arrived at the cinema shortly after. The movie itself was great, though all y/n could think about was how close Sol was, his arm in their own while sharing popcorn and some small talk. Solivan was over the moon as he walked with them around the nearby park, Hyugo had retuned home afterwards, saying something along the lines of “I’ll leave you two lovebirds be, see you tomorrow” was spoken from his behalf.
The afternoon sun had already settled down, as colder it got, a shiver ran down Y/n’s spine. Sol noticed this, feeling a bit saddened by the fact he couldn’t lend them one of his jackets. Instead, he opted on holding their hand once again until the remainder of the walk to their apartment. Sol already dreaded the look of their place, if only he could take his beloved back to his home, maybe that way he wouldn’t have to worry for any creepy onlookers. As y/n took their keys from their bag, Sol quietly wished for their lips to mest in a kiss before they would lart ways. In that same moment, they leaned forward, kissing his cheek while entering their apartment
“Thank you for today, hopefully we’ll spend more outings like this soon..!”
“Like a date?” He chimed in, making them chuckle while tilting towards him. Their gaze flickered between his eyes and lips
“I wouldn’t oppose to such idea..goodnight Sol, text me when you arrive home” With a nod, Sol bid his goodbyes and left the apartment complex, his heart racing softly while replaying tge memory of their lips caressing his cheek
“Soon..soon enough you’ll be able to see just how much I adore you, my pumpkin”

vernon wasn't sure what he was doing wrong.
god, he was just so into you, but he didn't know what to do anymore.
you'd been dating for a bit over two months by now, and it had been perfect. you'd spent almost every day together, never spending a dull moment by each other's sides. and god, was be obsessed with you. he felt like a bit of a loser, with how horribly down bad he was for you, but he couldn't help himself, okay? you were the prettiest girl he had ever seen. it didn't help that you were also the smartest, funniest, sexiest- okay he'll stop now. he still wasn't sure what exactly he had done to bag you, but he wasn't about to question his good fortune.
that was where his problem laid, actually.
despite two months of perfect love (was it too soon for him to say that?), the two of you had yet to have sex - or do anything remotely sexual in general. he'd had the privilege of holding you in his arms as you slept a few times now, and even the pleasure of feeling your lips against his as you endlessly sighed against his mouth when you'd kiss (something that got him going immediately - the feeling of your pliant form against him and your soft lips chasing after his), but he was yet to hit any other base with you.
the sheer desperation he felt for you made him feel terrible. vernon was nothing if not a respectful man. he wanted nothing more than to make you feel as comfortable as possible, never expressing any type of complaint whenever you pulled away or stopped him if things were getting too far for your liking. like last week.
you'd both been on his couch watching a movie together. it was all fine and dandy until you decided to pull his head towards you, suddenly planting a kiss against his lips. you did this quite often, actually. you seemed to really enjoy kissing vernon, something he would never say no to. like any reasonable person, he met you with equal enthusiasm, swallowing your soft moans while he shared a few groans right back into your mouth.
this went on for about fifteen minutes, making him lightheaded at your proximity. his hands were on your waist while yours played with his hair. he had moved you to sit on his lap about ten minutes ago, now having your weight atop his lap while he willed his boner away. it didn't take long for him to begin to get fidgety, deciding to begin a trail of kisses down your neck. your reaction had his breath catching in his throat. he had never heard such pretty moans in his life. it seemed like you were enjoying it as much as he was, tilting your head to the side to give him more room to kiss and suck at. it all went well, until his hands began to wander a bit.
you immediately placed them back on your waist, not giving any other reaction or indication as to why. about ten minutes later when you had finally grown too tired of making out, you separated from one another. you whispered a shy 'sorry' to him before cuddling back into him as you had been thirty minutes ago. he chose not to question it, simply pulling you even closer to his side.
~
next time it happened it was a bit more embarrassing. you'd woken up together after he had stayed over at your place. you had immediately jumped him, kissing him with intensity he hadn't met before. he wasn't an idiot, so he kissed back, taking anything you were willing to give him. it was filthy, really. just a mess of tongues and even some heavy petting over your clothes.
he was so sure this time you'd want more. that you'd finally at least let him have the unimaginable pleasure of some over-the-clothes action. he would give even with some dry humping. he was incredibly hard, which was already embarrassing on it's own. what made it even more embarrassing, however, was your squeak and the way you backed away the moment you felt his hardness against your leg. there were no words exchanged, just widened eyes starting at one another. the silence was only broken when vernon quickly grumbled out an apology along with a short 'i'll, uh, go take care of it. my bad' before leaving the room and locking himself in your bathroom.
after a less than gratifying session with his fist in your tiny bathroom, he came back to you, ears still burning red and eyes meeting the floor.
"vernon, fuck. i'm sorry, i just wasnt-"
"its fine!", he interrupted (very stupidly, by the way), "you dont have to explain anything. did you, uh, wanna get breakfast or something?"
you smiled back at him, seemingly thankful that he had given you an out, "yeah, sure nonnie."
~
next time had been the last one. the last instance that truly broke vernon. it had also been an accident, but a fortunate one at that.
vernon already had a key to your apartment. sure, you'd only been dating for a short time, but in both of your defenses, you'd been friends for a while before that, so this just seemed like a logical course of action. vernon had the tendency to drop by your apartment unannounced. he hated texting and was usually too lazy to call, so he had grown accustomed to just popping by. thus far, it had never been an issue. sometimes you'd be caught off guard, but for the most part it didnt go past you playfully slapping his chest and telling him to make some type of noise in order to not give you a heart attack; advice he seemingly did not take. not even today.
he was too quiet, even to a fault. he walked in, not making any type of noise and immediately seeking you out. you weren't in the living room, which meant you could only be in your room. he wished he could've checked the kitchen or the restroom first. maybe then you could've had more time to prepare, but that's not what happened. what happened, however, was that vernon unsuspectedly walked into your room only to find you pantless, with your hand up your cunt, groaning in frustration at yourself - something that had him tilting his head in confusion despite the sheer shock.
he couldn't really see anything too compromising due to the oversized shirt you were wearing covering your crotch itself, but he wasn't an idiot, he knew what having your hand down there meant. you were touching yourself. and it wasn't going well. you hadn't noticed him yet. his eyes were still wide, gasp trapped in his throat before unwillingly releasing it the moment you looked up, probably having felt his presence.
you jumped back in place, grabbing a pillow to cover between your legs before you started yelling at him.
"v-vernon?! what the fuck?! what are you doing here?"
he stayed frozen for a few seconds before finally snapping out of his trance, eyes still glued to your nether area despite the pillow playing the role of a barrier between his eyes and your cunt.
"uh, i, fuck. im sorry, i-"
"stop staring at me!", you put your arms over your face, covering yourself while also making yourself as small as possible due to embarrassment. fuck, vernon felt so terrible at making you feel ashamed that he'd caught you in the act. he hadn't meant to, truly!
"wait, no! don't- it's okay! i'm so sorry," against his better judgment, he walked over to you, sitting next to you on your bed. you hadnt asked him to leave, and you seemed vulnerable, so he assessed that the best move right now would be to try and comfort you.
you slowly looked up at him, hair a mess and obvious tears on your face. your face was also slightly flushed, indicating that you had been crying out of embarrassment. fuck, that was so adorable.
"you don't have to be embarrassed, it- it's fine. i'm sorry i didnt knock, i shouldve called beforehand like you told me. i know im probably overstepping a boundary here, but we've been dating for a while, i know you dont want to go there with me yet, but theres no need to be embarra-"
'it's not- vernon. i do want to have sex with you.'
"h- huh? you do?"
you did?! had he been reading you wrong this whole time? were you just playing hard to get or something? no, that didn't really sound like you.
you turned to face him, making sure your shirt still hid your naked bottom as you did so, "yes, vernon, i just ... fuck, its so embarrassing. ive just never had sex before ..." you looked anywhere but into his eyes as you said this, clearly ashamed of the revelation.
"i- that's it? you're a virgin? babe, you know i don't care about that, right?"
"it's not just that, nonnie. i ... i've never ...." the second half of your statement was too mumbled for him to understand.
"what was that?"
"dont make me say it again!"
"babe, i didnt hear you, i swear. just tell me, baby, cmon. id never judge you, you know that."
you sighed, now deciding to sit up fully and look straight into his eyes, "ive never had an orgasm."
oh. oh.
"r-really?"
"see! you think its weird! that's why i was so frustrated before you came in. it just- it just doesnt work. i dont know what it is. there's something clearly wrong with me," you were growing more and more exasperated by the minute, "ive never gone past second base with any boyfriend because of this. theyve all thought i was weird or broken or something, i'm just-"
"hey, hey. don't think like that. you're not broken. there's nothing wrong with it. if you dont like sex, that's-"
"but i do, vernon. i want to have sex with you!", you gasped at your own statement as soon as it left your mouth, showing clear embarrassment in your face, but you continued after collecting yourself, "i want to have sex. i just .. i dont know what to do. ive tried everything. there's something wrong with me. im sorry, vernon. i want to be with you so bad, - ive been wanting to go further with you - but i just didnt want to disappoint you like everyone else."
vernon was a bit devastated by your dejected demeanor. had every single ex of yours just given up on you? did they not even try to pull an orgasm out of you? the thought made him sad. then came the thought of you touching yourself night after night only to come out empty handed, with no orgasm nor pleasure to show for your efforts. that thought made him shudder. he thought about how well he could've taken care of you. how well he currently wanted to take care of you.
"baby ... you could never disappoint me. fuck, this whole time i thought you just didnt want to be with me. i- i'm sorry if i ever made you feel pressured. ill do things at whatever pace you want. just ... you're not weird. you're not broken, okay? im sorry anyone ever made you feel that way. im sorry no one ever took their time with you," he was genuinely apologetic over it. he had been thinking with his dick this whole time, not once stopping to consider that you had your reasons; very valid ones at that.
"thank you, vernon. i really appreciate it, really," you replied before pausing, taking a shaky breath before continuing, "you ... do you ... uh .."
"yeah, baby? what is it?"
"do you want to have sex? fuck, im sorry. i know that's such an unsexy way to ask. im sorry ive made this whole situation so uncomfortable. i should've just told you, or maybe just-"
he hummed against your lips as he interrupted your nervous rambling with a kiss, "hmm. baby. don't even worry about it. you didnt ruin anything. and you're the sexiest person alive, i ... i think about you all the time. ill take whatever you give me. anything is more than enough, okay?"
that seemed to make you get a little shy once again, "y-yeah. okay, thank you vernon."
vernon could tell what you wanted. i mean, you had literally told him you wanted to have sex with him. you just seemed to need some help getting there. he decided to save you any further embarrassment (even though in reality, he only found your shy demeanor adorable) and close the gap of your lips again.
he kissed you as softly and sensually as he could, pulling all stops to get you keening against him. within only some moments he was already hovering over you on your bed, your shirt ridden up to show your bare lower half. he began to sneak his hands over your shirt, slow enough to allow you to push him off if you wanted to. which you did. except it was only temporary, taking off your shirt altogether before pulling his lips back to yours, making the kiss grow even more intense.
vernon couldnt help moaning against your mouth the moment you moved his hands to play with your bare breasts, wrapping your legs around his waist and doing your best to incite him into humping against you. he didnt need any convincing, immediately digging his clothed crotch into yours. he fell in love with your soft moans, ones he had never heard before.
"nonnie ..." god, you were going to kill him. he wasnt even in you and he already felt like he was going to explode. but his priority right now was showing you that you weren't broken; that you were perfectly deserving of a mind-blowing orgasm.
"can i show you, baby? can i show you how to touch yourself?" he was completely serious too. he wanted not only to give you pleasure but also show you how to seek it on your own. he pictured you thinking about him when you were alone at night, fingers deep in your cunt as you-
"show me? what do you mean?"
"wanna teach you how to get there. can i?", he sat up, doing messy work of pulling off his pants and taking off his shirt, leaving himself in just his boxers before pulling you to sit up with him. he then guided you to sit on top of him as he sat against the headboard. your back was against his chest, with his arms now wrapped around you.
"nonnie ..."
"yeah, baby? whats wrong?", he was now allowing his hands to feel you up, loving how you arched against him the moment his fingers landed on your nipples, lightly pinching at them while he kissed your neck.
"im nervous ... im sorry, i know its dumb."
"its not dumb. is this okay? want me to slow down?"
"no! its fine. youre- you're perfect. i promise."
"okay. im gonna start now, then, okay?", he allowed one of his hands to sneak down, landing right where your cunt began, "im just gonna rub it for now, okay, baby? we'll go step by step."
"o-okay."
he rubbed at you, stopping by your clit every so often just to hear you mewl his name. he allowed his other hand to stay on your tits in the meantime, figuring that it was a sensitive spot for you that would also help you get there. you were extremely wet too, which gave him the idea that he was doing well so far. he had full confidence that he could make you cum. the thought of giving you your first orgasm did things to him.
"gonna put a finger in, okay? gon-"
"two! i can take it, nonnie, i swear. i ... i can already feel it."
"yeah? two? okay, baby. anything you want."
he had meant to start slow and build up his rhythm, but he was met with your desperate cunt chasing after his fingers every time he'd slow down. he figured you were ready for something more intense, so he began to give it his all.
"n-nonnie! fuck!" you grew limp against him, unable to control your moans of pleasure for him. you were beginning to tighten around him, which let him know all he needed to know.
"i- nonnie, i feel ... i feel weird. its so ... fuck ... its so good, nonnie! dont stop. fu- fuck! please!" you were getting progressively more desperate, specially as vernon began to play with your clit once more.
"cum, baby. wanna feel you, fuck. want my pretty girl to feel good," he pistoned his fingers in and out of you, making sure to curl them perfectly in order to hit that spot.
"n-nonnie! fuck!"
he let out a sigh of relief at the feeling of your orgasm invade you, pulling his fingers out immediately to suck at them in a depraved manner he wasn't even aware he had in him. by the time he was done, your orgasm had worn down, leaving you panting against him.
"that ... shit, vernon."
"i told you. told you you weren't broken. fuck, can't believe none of those assholes never even fingered you properly."
"yeah .. i mean, i also never-"
"shh, baby. none of it was your fault. now you know, right? next time you need it, you know how to do it. or, you know, just call me," you bad turned around by now, still sitting on him but now facing him as he spoke.
"thank you, vernon. im sorry i made you feel like i didnt want you," you pouted at him, "god, i cant believe i missed out on that for so long."
"right? uh, anything else you want me to show you?"
you threw him a flirty smile, sensually running your hands up and down his torso, "i had a few ideas, actually."
his eyes widened, "shit, really?"
"yeah ... there's a few other things i need to learn. teach me?"
he had never been more ready (and horny) for anything else before.

(especially him, who is very proud of her, who would like to be by her side even if she tells him to keep working on the set of obx, that she wouldn't want to disturb him. Like they both put up with each other so much they love each other)
that they haven't had time to talk to each other much, they want to meet up face to face again for once, so she decides to visit him as a little surprise to see him again in Charleston

Being in a relationship where you both act and are continuously busy filming is difficult, but there is always time and space to see one other when you take a break from filming.
Drew and you began dating in 2021, after he completed season two of his show, Outer Banks. You met through mutual friends at a gathering and hit it off right away.
Outer Banks season four is presently in production, which means Drew is in Charleston filming. It's been about two months since you last saw each other, and you miss each other a lot.
You were on the red carpet on the premiere of your new movie. As you went through the crowd, cameras flashed and captured every moment. In the back of your head, you couldn't stop thinking about Drew and how much you miss him.
A young woman called your name where interviews stood infront of cameras waiting for you and your cast mates to interact. You smile with a kind wave, walking over.
“Miss, Y/N, "I must say you look absolutely stunning tonight in this dress you're wearing," she says, praising you from top to bottom.
"Thank you so much; it means a lot to me, and I'm glad I chose to wear this dress tonight," you giggle, smoothing your hands over your sides.
The interviewer asks you a few questions on both the film and your character. You were grateful to be asked these questions because you had worked so hard on set.
"Before we part ways, noticed your boyfriend, Drew Starkey, is filming season four for Outer Banks. How is that going, do you know?" She asks politely.
"We haven't seen each other in a while, but we text every day," you place the front strands behind your ear, "he said everything is going well on set and he can't wait for fans to see," you explain, smiling before saying goodbye.
Tumblr media
You just hopped on a plane to Charleston to surprise Drew. You secretly organized this trip because you miss Drew and want to spend time with him. You can't wait to be in his arms again.
With all of your free time, you decided to pay Drew a visit and meet the rest of the cast, whom you consider friends as well.
When the plane landed, you walked down the stairs to find Maddie, Madison, and Carlacia waiting for you beside the car, holding two posters designed specifically for you. You took out your phone and started recording them as you came closer.
"Finally back with my hot bitches," you exclaim, extending your arms for a group hug.
"How long has it been since we saw you last?" Madison asks, "I don't know, but it's been too long," and then grabs your suitcase and places it in the trunk with your other belongings.
Everyone knows about you coming except for Drew. The look on his face will be priceless and unforgettable. Knowing you, you might cry.
A few hours go by, you left early with the girls to set since they are filming their scenes first. You were able to hid in Drew's trailer on the couch in the corner where he won't see you when he enters.
Drew's reaction was clearly visible on your phone. Hearing his voice get closer filled your tummy with butterflies. Taking a deep breath as you heard the doorknob turn.
"What time do you want me to get back on set again?" You hear him say this while the door is still open and you have no view of him.
"Okay, that sounds good; I'm going to take a quick nap," he says before entering his trailer.
His figure enters the trailer and turns right, with his back to you. When he turns around, all he sees is the love of his life in the corner, wearing the most beautiful smile that makes him fall harder each time. He can't believe you're standing in front of him now.
"Please tell me I'm dreaming right now and you're a vision," Drew blurts out, placing both hands over his head to digest what's going on in his mind.
"Don't think I'm a vision baby," you giggle, getting off the couch, "so are you gonna give me a kiss or stand there handsome?" You make amusing gestures.
"Oh I'ma kiss you alright," he quickly responds, taking you in his arms, lifting you up with his arms; you wrap your legs around his waist.
You two remain like this for a full minute, taking up the sensation of being together. You place kisses all over Drew's face, making him giggle.
"I've missed you so much; seeing you now and seeing your beautiful face in person makes me so happy. Drew expresses himself meaningfully: "I fucking love you so much baby."
The tears come down your face, Drew's quickly to wipe them.
"I can't explain the emotions I'm feeling right now, but to sum it up, being in your arms again, hearing your voice, touching you, makes me want to not leave you."
Drew helped you get to your feet and led you to the couch. You inform him you have a surprise trip planned; he assumed you wouldn't see each other until next month. Drew gave you an update on how filming has gone, etc.
Tumblr media
The past four days has been wonderful. You went onto set, met up with the crew and cast, beach, shopping, drinking, went out to dinner, etc.
Talked about the movie premiere and how your movie turned out after you watched it.
It's a lovely night in Charleston. The sun had just set, which was breathtaking from the view at dinner. Drew and you were strolling out of a restaurant holding hands, laughing at each other's jokes.
"Oh my gosh is that Y/N and Drew?" A faint voice from across the street causes you both to turn your heads at the same time, filled with curiosity.
"I suppose I am dreaming right now. I love you two so much and you've helped me so much, I can't thank you enough," the young girl confesses, struggling to fight back tears, "my name is Skylar."
Your heart warmed at Skylar's sweet comments. You and Drew instantly drew her into a group hug. Skylar wept with happiness.
"Thank you for your love and support. We're both glad we could support you through your difficult periods in life, and we hope you'll keep fighting. Would you want a picture? Drew speaks with genuine sincerity, holding her hand and maintaining her composure.
After talking for a time, you took a few photos with Skyalr before going your separate ways. More fans have approached you two since your arrival. It's always good to meet supporters.
"How about we grab ourselves snacks from the gas station for a movie night and cuddle all night then possibly have a little fun" Drew implies with a hint a flirtatious about the having fun part.
You let a yelp when he squeezed your sides, leaning back against his body.
"Doesn't sound like a bad idea to me" you shrug, smiling.
Drew sighs and wraps his arms around your neck, "I'm glad you took the time to come here. I missed you so much and am finally able to be with you. I'm extremely proud of all of your hard work and your new movie. "I love you, baby."
"I love you more my sweet boy, best thing that's ever happen to me."

˚⟡˖ RIIZE when they find you crying but you (try to) runaway
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ᡣ𐭩 masterlist genre angst, fluff pairing riize x reader
Tumblr media
ᯓ★ SHOTARO
Shotaro would follow you if he found you crying. Even if you tried to run away because you didn’t want him to see you like that, feeling a bit embarrassed, he would still follow you, stopping you to give you a hug. As you felt his arms around you and he gently stroked your head, you couldn’t help but cry even more into his chest.
ᯓ★ EUNSEOK
Eunseok would definitely be the type to grab your wrist to stop you from running away. He would look into your eyes as he asked you what was wrong. You were crying so much that the words wouldn’t come out, so he’d just hold you in silence, waiting for you to calm down. Once you relaxed, he would listen to you for hours.
ᯓ★ SUNGCHAN
Sungchan would be really worried about you, but he wouldn’t chase after you right away. He knew you too well and knew exactly where you were hiding—at your favorite spot. After giving you a few minutes alone, he would come to find you with your favorite snacks. He would sit next to you in silence, then put his arm around your shoulders, letting you rest your head on him.
ᯓ★ WONBIN
Wonbin would get incredibly nervous not knowing why you were crying, so he would run after you until he caught up. Once he did, even though you didn’t want to look at him, he’d just hug you tightly in silence for a few seconds. Then, he’d grab your shoulders, look at you intently, and ask what was wrong. It broke his heart to see you like that.
ᯓ★ SEUNGHAN
Seunghan knew that following you wouldn’t help much, so after seeing you run away in tears, he decided to just give you space. However, he would send you tons of messages to make sure you were okay. By the end of the day, he’d show up at your place with your favorite dinner. Now that you were calmer, you’d be able to tell him what was wrong while he gently stroked your arm as you talked. You’d end the day watching your favorite movie together to help clear your mind a little.
ᯓ★ SOHEE
At first, Sohee wouldn’t know how to react. He wasn’t sure whether to follow you or just give you space. After a few seconds, he decided he couldn’t leave you alone, so he followed you quietly, giving you space but staying by your side at the same time. It wouldn’t take long before you stopped, turning around to hug Sohee, crying on his shoulder because you couldn’t hold it in anymore and needed his embrace. He would just hold you back, silently showing you his support.
ᯓ★ ANTON
Anton would be so worried about you that he wouldn’t let you run away. He’d step in your way, and even if you tried to avoid him, he’d finally pull you into a hug. You couldn’t help but hug him back, crying into his chest. Anton would simply tell you that he was there for you and that he’d always be by your side whenever you needed him. In the end, he wouldn’t be able to stop a few tears himself, feeling terrible about seeing you in so much pain.

Broadway :3c
And I hear ya. (Insert spooky joke here) There is a sprawling WEB of central hubs, for The Arts. For trade. For getting drunk and having a good time. The Zone is large and it is endless. You'll NEVER reach the far end. It can never reach you.
All things, in gentle sweeping waves, across eternity.
So when folks want to have "a market" or "a movie theater" or "the waterpark"? You gotta PICK a point on the endless map. Figure if you are close or far enough away for others like it, to make it worth the effort to build.
You might even be the first to do it for GALAXIES in any direction! People might fly for WEEKS to come to your place! Move their Lairs to be closer too it. Like dust gathered by gravity, slowly creating planets and stars. A mega Lair. A CITY.
They rise, they fall, the Zone shifts all the while.
But!
Does the dead starlet stop singing? Does getting gunned down, stop the show?? I think NOT! Where is her STAGE? What musicals? What dramas? What operas and tragedies and forms unknown to human kind??! Ballet dancers who CAN defy gravity! Singers who have no NEED for air! The haunting blend of instruments, that could never in life have met! From empires long turned to ASH!
The greatest show in DEATH!
Ember was a world wide hit. Yes, her voice was hypnotic. But that could be FOUGHT. It was SKILL that carried the game. And she was hardly "I was Literally The Greatest My Planet Ever Produced" skilled. She was good, great even. Not "I was Born For Greatness" Excellence.
And like?
.....eventually? Danny's gonna ask after "cultural-y" Culture stuff. Clothes and food. Music and the arts. To help his parents get used to the whole "our son is half-dead" thing. To show he's not some mindless monster now.
And? Ghostwriter? Probably an absolute legend. Does he know where you can find some CULTURE? Oh THANK ZONE! He thought you'd NEVER ask! You unsophisticated-! *fist fight in a library* Still a dick, though. Always and forever.
And just? Imagine Broadway stretched out into a floating city. That never sleeps. Never stops. Shows ever changing. Some on a cycle, some only once. Dream-like. Beautiful. Eye catching.
And yeah, Danny didn't think he LIKED musicals. It was more of a Jazz thing. But? This was important! Gotta get the whole family in the Speeder. We're going to see a play, guys! We'll pick when we get there! Family road trip! Educational! We can make notes!
His parents are trying to be supportive. Big, fixed, strained grins. Trying to pretend to be excited. But they... DO seem reluctantly intrigued? And Jazz is all but vibrating in her seat. It's basically her "before you go away to college" present. And she is THRILLED.
The longer she excitedly speculates? The more into it she gets their folks. This IS gonna be new! Exciting! Never before seen Ghost Culture! Music! As a FAMILY! Think we could find souvenirs? Ooooh, wonder if they sell CDs??!
Then? They GET there. And it's... it's like seeing the Las Vegas strip for the first time, except multiplied into a city. Made of even MORE styles and eras. At angles gravity would never allow.
The air filled with laughter and excitement, people rushing to shows or humming bits of tunes. Street stalls. Fountains. Flowers growing everywhere.
They could stay for months and not even reach a fraction of these buildings. His parents are taking countless photos. His sister squeeling with joy as she races for an information kiosk like they just arrived at Disneyland. He, at least, remembers to lock up the Speeder. Grab their day bags.
When did HE become the responsible one?
The argue over shows. Obviously. Wouldn't be Fenton's otherwise. HE wants to see the alien one. It's from mars! But it's his sister's trip, as his dad points out, so she gets to choose. She picks a musical set during the Fall of Krpton. He's... reluctantly kinda interested. I mean, EVERYBODY likes Superman, right?
It's... it's amazing. Terrible, but amazing. I mean? A coming of age story cut tragically short? Oof. Hello, massively projecting then getting FEELS about it! Yeah, sure, rip my heart out why don't you? He's fine. No, really! Just drowning in his own emotions over here. The refrain of "A Life Well Lived"? *gargling dying whale noises* he's FINE. Not grappling with anything! Go on without him!
Thankfully?
They DO sell CDs.
He... he may end up, kinda, getting a bit of a collection. Going on the weekends, hoping show to show. Wandering to whichever catches his eye in the moment. Buying the CDs for one's he likes. Which? Honestly is a lot of them. Even though there's all sorts of genres and languages. Cause it... it RESONATES you know?
The grief. The anger. The "I have died but I wasn't FINISHED. It isn't FAIR.". And? Something about ghost speak flows so BEAUTIFULLY in song? It's hard to explain. But he... he needs them.
A pair of headphones, a CD, and a clear night sky? Nothing touches it. It's like a trance made of light. Like he can just drift.
The problem? Is the CDs are kinda... Zone made? They're radioactive, for one. Nothing a Fenton CD player can't handle. But... they? Also? Kinda fuckin GLOW? Like... very, very noticeably. And not in a "ha ha, cool glow in the dark paint!" Sorta way.
.........but like FUCK is he leaving his music behind when he goes to college. Gotham will have to deal. It's already a burning shit-nado, it can handle this. Probably. He'll put um in a lead lined box. Actually, speaking OF.... he needs to get a few more of those... *goes back to packing*
Which? Is how? The Bats are treated to some of the most HAUNTING music they've ever heard, belted and crooned from Some Guy's speakers, out an open window, on the "stop for a mid-patrol drink of water and a snack" building. It's one of the intersections of their patrol routes. And THAT? That is some dude listening to a Romani ballad about death and the circus. Now it's a musical about the trenches of an obscure war.
Okay, that was DEFINITELY Kryptonian. Like... coherent Krypto- *Bruce gets a call from Clark on his "work" number DEMANDING to know where that is coming from. Who is that voice Bruce?!* huh.... Well Then.

Logan and Rapunzel reader perchance? I would imagine him being absolutely enamored by her long hair when they first meet. <333
not my best work but this idea was so cute so i had to write a little something
-
your hair has always grown faster than normal. it’s the colour of gold, shining when the light hits it. as a child, you were your parents' favourite - they adored the compliments you would receive every time they brought you out of the house for errands or a playdate at the park with your friends.
and then at ten years old you found out that you had the power to heal. your best friend was in the hospital and you were by her side, refusing to leave no matter what. she was asleep, passed out from the pain drugs they’d given her, so you sang her a lullaby, hoping that she might be able to hear you even subconsciously, that it would bring her comfort.
your hair began to glow. stray stands of your hair had fallen onto her arm, and the contact of your glowing hair with her skin began to heal her.
your parents had very different reactions when they found out. your father was disgusted that his child was a mutant, but your mother wanted to use your powers. so she pulled you out of school to homeschool you, saying that you weren’t safe around others, that they would try to hurt you if they found out.
and for years you lived like that, trapped in a not-quite-life. you hardly left the house, your only role was to keep your mother young and beautiful.
until one day, a group of mutants came knocking at your door. a man named charles xavier who told your parents all about his school. your mother didn’t want you to go, but charles managed to speak to you alone and you begged him to help you escape, to help you leave this wretched place.
your first few weeks at the mansion you were terribly shy. it had been years since you’d had much contact with others, since you’d met anyone new. so you would hide out in a secluded section of the garden.
that’s where you meet logan.
he leans against the wall, smoking a cigar, and when you ask him what he’s doing here, he replies that it’s probably the same thing you’re doing out here - avoiding the others. he doesn’t speak to you much the first few times, but you find a comfort in his presence. he has no expectations of you.
day after day you hang out with logan, and you grow closer. you tell him about your childhood, and in return he tells you stories about his long life. some are quite brutal, and they make you wince, to which he just laughs dryly.
and then you start to spend time with him outside of the garden. you find him on the couch, drinking and watching a movie, and you settle by his side. he plays with your long hair, twisting it between his fingers, and while normally you hate when people touch your hair, logan isn’t doing it to take advantage of your abilities.
it becomes a habit of his, he always has a hand playing with your hair. and when you finally kiss, against the door of his bedroom, he tugs at your hair to make you gasp, opening your mouth for him.
logan adores your hair, and eventually you learn to love it too, to no longer associate it with the pain of your childhood but with the smiles he sends you from across the room and the feeling of his large hands running through the strands, reverent. he treats you like a goddess, though he argues it's just what you deserve.

❛ he so likes her! ❜ wiru quinn and jack noticing luke is crushing
PROM NIGHT, l. hughes
part two <3
word count | 832 words
pairings | luke hughes x best friend!reader, platonic!jack & quinn hughes x reader
summary | luke’s brothers notice his crush on his best friend
prompt | ❛ he so likes her! ❜
warnings | not proofread. no use of “y/n”. mutual pining. reader and luke are oblivious. lowercase intended. this is a work of fiction, i am by no means saying this is how they act in real life.
a/n | i’ve been trying to write but i have very little motivation, but here's this! might make a part two if the people want it :)
being in love with your best friend was horrible. knowing he didn’t feel the same was down right torturous. at least, you assumed he didn’t feel the same.
luke hughes had been your best friend since sixth grade, when one of his buddies cruelly pushed into a locker as you had walked past. luke, angered by his friend’s actions, proceeded to shove him into a locker before going to check on you. the rest was history.
you were the golden retriever to his black cat, the sun to his moon, his ride or die. you two had been through thick and thin together, somehow managing to stay friends when no one else thought you would.
unbeknownst to you both, jack and quinn had a bet going on how long it would take for one of you to admit your feelings for the other. a bet that had been placed after your senior prom, a night you could never forget.
it was chilly as you sat outside the gymnasium, no longer caring about dirtying up your dress, the night already ruined. you had found your date with his lips locked with another girl, but that wasn’t what hurt the most: it was seeing your best friend slow dancing with girl; a girl that wasn’t you.
you wiped at the angry and jealous tears as they streamed down your rosy cheeks, angry at yourself for being jealous, angry at yourself for falling for the one boy you could never have.
“hey, there you are! we’ve been look– are you okay?” luke poked his head out the door, concern growing when he noticed the tears that stained your rosy cheeks. you were quick to wipe the remaining tears as luke walked out, letting the door shut behind him. he joined you on the curb as you tried to get rid of the evidence that you had been crying, but it was too late.
“i’m fine, lu. go back in there, have a good time. i’m gonna head home, i’m not feeling the greatest.” you felt guilty about lying to your best friend, not only about not feeling well, but about your feelings.
“you are a terrible liar, you know that?” you couldn’t even look him in the eyes. “fine, don’t tell me, but at least let me drive you home.” you attempted to argue, but luke was stubborn. you both were.
“i don’t want you to miss out on the fun.” you said as luke guided you to his car.
“eh, i wont be missing any fun when the life of the party is in my passenger seat.” luke attempted to entice a smile out of you but it just sent a pang to your heart. “plus, i’d rather hang out with you.” he shrugged.
“what about your date?”
“oh, she snuck off to make out with ex.” you shot him a look of pity, luke shrugging it off as he backed out. “i knew she was using me to make him jealous, but honestly i don't care.” you knew though that luke was hurt by it, at least more than he was letting on. the rest of the ride was silent, your eyes trained out the window until luke drove right past your house.
“luke, you just passed my house.” you looked to your best friend, eyebrows furrowed.
“i know. i figured we could watch a movie.” you internally groaned. he was not helping you get over this crush, that was for sure. still, you went along, following him into the house when you arrived.
it was late, his parents still out wherever they had gone, and quinn and jack were somewhere around the house. you accepted the sweats and shirt luke offered you, going to change out of your dress. when you entered the living room, luke had already picked out your favorite movie and was microwaving popcorn. you sat on the couch, cuddling into a blanket he had laid out.
luke joined you moments later, handing you the bowl of popcorn and taking a seat next to you. he started the movie, but you couldn’t focus, not with him as close as he was to you.
soon, the tiredness began to take over, your eyes drooping. it wasn’t long before luke heard soft snores coming from you, your head resting on his shoulder. it brought a smile to his face as he too began to fall asleep. that was how quinn and jack found the both of you; luke’s head rested against yours which was on his shoulder. quinn placed a blanket over you both, before taking a picture of you, a smile on both your faces.
“he so likes her.” jack snickered, quinn nodding along.
“i bet you fifty bucks he tells her first.” quinn whispered as he sent the picture to his parents who were rooting for you two to get together.
“make it a hundred but it’ll be her.” they shook on it before you leaving you to rest.

Creeptober: Day One
Slenderman’s Forest
Slenderman x AFAB Reader (no gender specified)
CW: slight horror themes, stalking, dubcon/noncon, pain, manipulation, public, etc
You grew up on Creepypastas and horror chainmail texts. As a kid, you would find and devour all the CreepyPastas and scary stories you could before shakily watching cartoon theories on YouTube or getting on iFunny. As you got older, that evolved into an obsession with horror movies and stories.
That’s why you’re so mad at yourself when you play straight into a horror movie stereotype.
You decide to go for a walk in a nearby walk around dusk with your dog. You’ve been working so much lately that you feel like you haven’t been paying as much attention to him, which makes you feel terrible. So, you lace up your sneakers and get your dog’s leash.
The park near your house has a small patch of woods separating the playgrounds from the basketball courts, but you’ve never thought too much about it. There’s a well lit path, and even at night, there’s usually a few people wandering around the place. Why would you worry in a situation like that?
To your surprise, there seems to be no one there when you get there. You don’t know if you’ve ever seen that happen. Still though, the lights are on, and your dog is excited. Nothing is setting off alarm bells.
As you walk, your dog starts pulling and whining. You roll your eyes, thinking he just wants to run, so you indulge him. You pick up your speed, walking a bit faster than normally you would want to, then breaking out into a jog. Your dog can sense the strange presence now following you, but you brush off the goosebumps springing up along your spine. The hairs raising on the back of your neck.
The more steps you take, the more interested the creature lurking in the woods becomes. Eventually your dog yanks so hard on the leash that it rips out of your hand. Stumbling to a stop, you blink rapidly, surprised at the sudden outburst of your companion. However, it only takes a moment for you to recover, shouting his name and rushing after him.
When you break through the tree line, you realize you’re at the playground. Looking around, you start calling out your dog’s name again. Every time you shout his, you hear someone… whispering. It makes you pause. You shout his name. Someone whispers in your ear. It’s like the wind has gained its own voice.
A shiver creeps down your spine, dragging those goosebumps back up. There seems to be a chill in the air. Fumbling for your phone, you struggle to unlock it, your hands shaking so hard that it’s hard to type in your password.
Before you can still your fingers enough to type, a long black tendril snakes along the ground, curling around your ankle. Panic sets in. Your heart starts racing. Your stomach drops. Your chest tightens. Your lungs feel like they’re giving out. You can’t even part your lips to scream or cry.
Out of the darkness, a towering figure emerges. Your mouth goes dry at the sight. It’s like all feeling has left your limbs. The tendril trails up your leg, curling around your waist. As the figure approaches, flashes of nightmares you’ve had flicker through your mind. It makes it difficult for you to focus on whatever is in front of you.
It takes several moments through the haze of fear to see, but you realize what it is. Slenderman. A laugh almost escapes your dry mouth. You’ve seen the pictures. Read the stories. He’s just a creature created by some random dude in a photo contest. You were already double digits when this thing started making its way around online. You remember your friends, in hushed whispers, talking about how to summon him and how to protect yourselves if you had to be in the woods alone, even during the day.
Yet, over a decade later, here you are. Standing in front of him. As if he’s always been real. Is this what a tulpa is? Through the haze, you try to remember everything you can about tulpas. They’re like imaginary friends brought to life in Buddhism, right? You can’t remember. Pop culture references flooding your mind and fear clouding it makes proper thought difficult.
As you struggle to think, another tendril darts out, curling around your other leg. Then your arm, then your throat. That snaps you back to attention. Staring at the thing in front of you. He is featureless, as long renditions say. You wonder if hidden behind that is a large mouth full of teeth, ready to snap you in half. What was that from? A video game? Again, you can’t remember.
Eventually the thing has you so wrapped up in his long tendrils that you’re little more than a head sticking out of a mass of them. They feel strange. Almost like cold air being blown all over your body from a hair dryer. The creature is nearly face to face with you now. He reaches out, curling his fingers over the tendril that is wrapped around your neck.
It feels like your heart is skipping beats. Your blood is pounding in your ears. Your fingertips feel numb. Your lips are cold. You can hardly breathe.
He strokes your cheek, sending another onslaught of shivers down your spine. That voice like air is whispering your name again in your ears. That’s when, through the flashes of nightmares, you realize that he is what had been calling to you. How long has he been following you?
Despite your best efforts, you can’t speak a word. He seems to be regarding you struggling, but takes no mercy. Withdrawing his tendrils so he can seemingly gaze down at your clothed body, you feel a rush of heat to your face. His large hand cups one of your breast. You start struggling again, but it’s no use. He has your arms pinned behind your back, and in seconds, he has you on your knees.
When he starts shoving his fingers in your mouth, you bite down on them, expecting to taste blood. All you taste is… chlorophyl? It gives you pause, your jaw going slack. It tastes like grass and leaves. Sure, you know you’ve bitten him enough to break his skin, but not only does he seem not to care, it doesn’t even seem like he has blood. That thought only scares you more.
When you’re forced to swallow the chlorophyll like blood as he continues to pump his long fingers in and out of your mouth, the nightmares stop. You can even move your fingers, not that given the way he’s holding you it does you much good.
After what feels like hours but is likely only a few minutes, he draws back his fingers, a string of spit and green blood-like substance connects your lips and his fingers. You cringe at the sight of your teeth marks in his pearly white skin. Bringing his fingers up to his face, he seems to be looking at them. Looking at what you did.
You squeeze your eyes shut, expecting the worse. However, his tendrils throw you back on your back, adjusting and swarming around you until your arms are stretched high over your head, and your legs are spread apart. Struggling still does you no good. He’s still standing over you. Towering over you. All you can do is gulp, fear making your blood turn to ice.
He finally bends down, using one tendril to yank off your pants and underwear. A scream finally rips through your throat, but it’s silenced as he forces his fingers back into your mouth. Now you’re laid out on the ground, cunt exposed, with his fingers pumping in and out of your mouth in a public park. You know that there was no one here when you came, but someone could come at any minute. Someone could see this.
Slenderman, or whatever this thing really is, doesn’t seem to care about the possibility. With his free hand, he undoes his slacks, a huge cock springing from them. You try to scream again. Try to kick. Try to fight back from the thing you don’t want to be pushed inside of you, but it’s no use.
The whispering voice is trying to soothe you, but the cloud of fear is still smothering you. As you struggle, you feel the thick length being pushed into your cunt. Your eyes roll back in your head as you’re stretched almost impossibly wide on the staff of the creature. The whispers turn to airy grunts and moans, even though less than half the length is being pumped in and out of you.
The fingers in your mouth have stilled, just being shoved deep enough that you can’t scream. Despite the circumstances, your juices are leaking onto the large cock, slickening him. Letting him more easily push in and out of you. Letting him slide deeper into you.
The airy grunts quicken until you can feel a cool liquid being dumped inside of you. Slowly, he withdraws his cock, the cool liquid dripping down your cunt until you’re laying in a puddle of it.
And just like that, everything else is gone. The tendrils holding you down. The faceless monster with his fingers down your throat. All that’s left is the cum still dripping out of your cunt. Stumbling to your feet, you make your way back through the forest to your car. Your dog is asleep beside it, to your annoyance and appreciation. Unlocking the door, you get your gym bag out so you can put shorts on and wet wipes to clean up somewhat.
You wonder if he’s still watching you. An airy chuckle makes you think that he is.

Could you perhaps write how the gang first reacted when they first saw the reader??? Maybe make the reader fem too?
Your work is awesome! have a good day 💞
Tumblr media
Summary: The gang's first time seeing you. Warnings: none Author's note: short today, sorry. PONYBOY CURTIS Pony's first time seeing you was at school. It was the first day and he was walking into class when the door closed on him. Turns out, you were holding the door open, got distracted and closed it on his face. You immedietly apologized and he accepted it graciously, knowing you didn't mean it. He thought you were pretty cute so he sat next to you in class. He admired your intelligence and his friends made fun of him for staring at you the whole class. JOHNNY CADE Johnny's first time meeting you was at the drive-in. He sat down in a seat you were saving for your friend. He apologized immedietly but you told him it was fine and that there was more seats on your other side so he could sit there. The whole movie he kept side-glancing at you and your friend, mostly at you because he kept getting distracted by your angelic laugh and voice. He didn't see you around after that for a long time but your face never left his mind. SODAPOP CURTIS Sodapop met you because you were a customer at the DX. You just needed to stop by and get gas but you accidentally spilled the contents of your bag when getting your money. He rushed to help you pick up your things and he tried to make small talk until he looked up at you and nearly fell back at how beautiful you were. You laughed at his speechlessness and compared it to a movie scene, to which he responded, "every good romance movie needs a pretty actress," STEVE RANDLE You met him at a bar, he was getting wasted with his best friend and you were there just to party. He complimented your jewlery, saying that his friend Dallas would kill to have that tuff of a necklace. You joked around with him a little bit and he ended up buying you and your friends some drinks and inviting his friend, your friend and you back to his place for a place to crash. He woke up with a terrible hangover and with no reccollection of what happened. Then he saw you sleeping on his couch and was so happy that you actually went home with him and didn't leave. TWO-BIT MATHEWS Two-Bit met you playing poker at his friends house. You were mutuals with said friend and was just there wasting time and getting wasted. He placed a bet on who'd get to take you home that night because he thought you were so pretty. Each guy who tried made pretty good impressions but Two-Bit was so drunk when it finally came to him that he ended up making you laugh at his state more than anything. You ended up going home with him anyways because you thought he'd run into trouble walking home alone this late and in that state. Safe to say, Two earned a lot of money that night. DARRY CURTIS Darry met you grocery shopping because he needed the last gallon of milk but so did you. You both just kind of stood there awkwardly looking back between the milk and each other. You held out your hand to signal for him to take it and he did reluctantly. But he couldn't let an oppurtunity to woo a generous and pretty lady go to waste. He invited you over for some chocolate cake made with the same milk later on. DALLAS WINSTON Dallas met you at Bucks party. He was bartending for a few extra bucks of cash and you were there with a group of girls and a few unwanted men. He immedietly started flirting since you were the prettiest out of the group and that's just who he was but your annoyance made him want to pester you more. He ended up giving you a free drink with soothed your nerves and got you talking, he offered a date later on in the week and you accepted.

Here are my black clothes
I think now it is better to love no one than to love you. Here are my black clothes, the tired nightgowns and robes fraying in many places. Why should they hand useless as though I were going naked? You liked me well enough in black; I make you a gift of these objects. You will want to touch them with your mouth, run your fingers through the thin tender underthings and I will not need them in my new life.

The tailor was posh but undoubtedly talented. Then again, it was a tailor, posh was to be expected.
It was the old type of tailor, the one you saw in movies, the type that hid a secret passage to the secret service. Wooden walls covered with wooden shelves and clothes, wooden tiles on the floor, large corduroy armchairs. You walked in feeling like you didn’t belong there, like you should never have come in the first place.
Frank spotted you instantly when you walked in. You hadn’t seen each other in a few weeks, there were times when you missed him. There were times when you didn’t think of him at all… what a strange feeling… he was always in your thoughts for years…
You wished Andrew was there with you. You wondered if his classes were going well this morning, you wanted to make him a coffee and chat instead of working…
“Y/N!” Frank beamed at you, crossing the room to give you a hug. “I’ve missed you! We’ve spent too long apart!”
“Missed you too. You look well! Are you ready to choose your suit?”
“I’m so nervous,” he admitted with an uncomfortable laugh.
“It’ll be just fine.”
You said hello to Frank’s friends and family members gathered in the shop. Only a few people, including the three best men.
The tailor came in a few minutes later, started taking care of his clients. You remained quiet while the group was splitting its attention between Frank’s suit and his best men’ clothes.
The plan was simple. You had to give him terrible advice. You had to ruin the suit, make him look ridiculous. Something that Sam would hate.
That was the only way to weaken the wedding with today’s activity.
You waited patiently, watched Frank try suits on. Every piece of garment shattered your heart.
You should have been the one discovering the suit on your wedding day. You should have been the one he talked about now, asking if you would like that colour on him, hoping you would find him handsome.
He was. He was handsome. So fucking much. You wanted to shout, to claw your eyes out of their sockets with the pain of it. He was so handsome, and you should have never been here. Instead of seeing him try on all these suits, you should have been the bride hiding her dress from him. But you weren’t. You were just the friend he was turning his attention to now, asking for an advice.
And you couldn’t do it. Couldn’t ruin this for him. You were too kind-hearted for that, or perhaps, you were simply too much in pain.
You struggled to put a smile on your face.
“I think navy blue is better than green on you.”
“You think?” he asked, looking at the two shades.
“It matches your eyes better. Makes them pop.”
He smiled, bright and excited.
Had he ever smiled like this thinking of your wedding? Of marrying you?
“Thank you, Y/N. You’re always right with those things.”
“Because I pay attention.”
Your answer held more meaning than it seemed, but he didn’t notice. He never did. Not when it was you.
And you wanted revenge now. You wanted him to regret you. You wanted him to see that you were enough, that you were always enough, that Sam wasn’t better than you… even if you didn’t really believe it. Frank had chosen Sam. Andrew had been in love with her, and now that he was starting to move on, it was to be with a woman who wasn’t you.
You excused yourself, looked for the bathroom. The moment you turned the lock on your door, the tears were let free.
Tumblr media
You looked so sad when you came back.
It was almost noon when you stepped in the office, Andrew had been waiting for you to eat his lunch. He didn’t have classes for the rest of the day, and neither did you. He was relieved about it, you clearly needed some help.
“How did it go?” he asked as you closed the door behind you.
You didn’t answer at first, instead you took the time to take off your coat, let yourself fall in your office chair and throw your head back towards the ceiling. You let out a dramatic moan, Andrew chuckled at the sound.
“That bad, huh? Did you make him choose something terrible to wear?”
You didn’t answer.
“Let me guess… you saw him in there, it broke your heart, but you didn’t lie and helped him look stunning for his wedding day.”
“How do you know? That’s exactly what happened.”
“I know you. You’re too kind to do something so mean and selfish. Hiding a few bottles of champagne is one thing, making your ex look like a fool on the most important day of his life is another.”
“I’m so pathetic. I feel so… pathetic…”
“You’re not. You’re just heartbroken.”
“Same bloody thing.”
“What can I do?”
You looked at him then, tears in your eyes and looking so sad… so damn sad…
But then you looked angry instead, wrath burning through your gaze and Andrew shuddered at the sight.
You looked gorgeous like this, despite your eyes reddened with tears. Fierce was a good look on you, it had always been…
“I’m going to make him regret me so fucking much he’ll beg to get me back.”
He raised an eyebrow, surprised by your determination.
“And how do we do that?”
“By making me look so fucking good he’ll have nightmares about leaving me.”
Andrew’s heart skipped a beat. His words came out in a whisper you didn’t hear.
“You’re always gorgeous, Y/N…”
“We’re going to this party they’re throwing two weeks before the wedding. So… in…”
“Two weeks.”
“Yeah… in two weeks. God, I can’t believe it’s the end of April already. Exams will be back in no time.”
“Don’t mention that…” Andrew winced. “Besides, we’ll have to go through the conference first…”
“Did you have an answer for that by the way?”
Andrew smiled.
“Main speaker on the second day. Forty-minutes presentation.”
“That’s awesome, Andy! Congrats!”
“I’m going to hate every second of it.”
“You’ll be brilliant.”
“We’ll need to rehearse your presentation too.”
“Yes, thank you for helping me.”
“Don’t mention it. We’re a team.”
You exchanged a tender smile, one that reached gratefulness for more than professional support.
“Anyway, I’m going to go shopping after work,” you declared. “I’ll buy the most gorgeous dress for that party. And Frank will be at my fucking feet.”
Andrew chuckled at that.
“Alright, good plan.”
“Actually… can I be insufferable and ask for your help?”
“Pardon me? My help? I don’t know anything about dresses…”
“You’re a man. You know what men like. Actually, you know what? We could go now. Be back before two and work this afternoon.”
“Now?”
“Now.”
“Okay…”
Andrew gathered his things in a hurry, let you babble away while you exited the office. He didn’t mention the way your voice was shaking from time to time, how your eyes still glistened with withheld tears.
He didn’t mention any of it. He merely drove you to the shop you liked.
Andrew didn’t know what to do while you browsed through expensive dresses, selected a few, asked for his opinion. He didn’t really have any. He had no idea what he was supposed to do to make you smile again, to make you happy, to make you feel as beautiful as you truly were…
You walked in a fitting room with five different dresses to try on. There weren’t many people in the shop at this hour, only an old woman with her grand-daughter were looking for a dress for the young woman. The elder lady started chatting casually with Andrew while they both waited in front of the cabins.
“Your girlfriend is looking for a dress for a special occasion?” she asked, and Andrew fiercely blushed.
“Oh… no, she’s not… we’re not… She’s not my girlfriend.”
She gave him a look, one that annoyed him a lot.
“Right… I see…”
Andrew ignored her, her grand-daughter showing her a dress the perfect excuse not to answer.
And then he heard you calling his name in a quiet voice…
His heart didn’t just skip a few beats, it stopped altogether. Butterflies didn’t cut it, these were fireworks in his stomach.
You were standing there in an emerald dress that fell across your calves, a low cut on your cleavage that made his wildest fantasies about you seem mild.
“What do you think? I like this one.”
You turned around to show him the back, or rather, the absence of clothing on the backless dress.
Andrew couldn’t breathe. Couldn’t think…
You were so… so…
“How do I look?”
You were so… so…
“…Breathtaking.”
You blinked up at him. And he tried to hide his reaction, but he couldn’t. He must have looked stunned, a deer in headlights, and he couldn’t help it. You were so…
“…Perfect.”
You raised a surprised eyebrow, a shy smile forming on your lips.
He wanted to kiss you so badly. He wanted to touch the skin of your back the dress revealed. He wanted to run his fingers along your cleavage. He wanted to tear that gorgeous dress off you…
He cleared his throat, averted his eyes so he would stop staring at you.
“Yeah… that’s… a good one.”
“I have another I like, hang on.”
He nodded, unable to look at you. He could feel warmth spreading through his body, but he would never survive the humiliation of getting a boner in the middle of a shop because you were trying dresses on…
“Not your girlfriend, huh?”
Andrew turned to the stranger, the old woman giving him a knowing smile.
“You’d better make her your girlfriend, before it’s too late.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“No, of course not.”
She heaved a sigh, looking at the closed curtain of the fitting room where her grand-daughter had disappeared.
“My husband looked at me like that, you know? The way you look at her. And I can only hope my grand-child will find someone who will look at her like that, too.”
“Like what?”
“Like she is the most beautiful thing on this earth.”
She stared right into his eyes.
“The way you must be looked at when you are loved.”
Andrew struggled to swallow, looked away, fiercely blushing.
Christ, he was a desperate case. And if a stranger could notice his feelings for you, surely everyone had… what would you say if you noticed? Would you push him away? Would you break his heart?
You walked out of your cabin again, wearing a black dress this time. And Andrew tried to hide it better this time, but you looked divine. It fitted your curves perfectly, it made your body look like sin…
“What about this one?” you asked, turning around, and Andrew hated himself for being unable to stop himself from staring at your arse.
“Yeah… that’s a good one too,” he nodded, clearing his throat.
“Which one do you prefer?”
“I… I don’t know…”
“Come on! I like both. I don’t know which one to pick. What’s your favourite?”
He struggled to control his breathing, to slow down his heart.
“I… erm… I really liked the green one.”
“The green one?”
“Yeah, it… you’re gorgeous in this dress too though.”
He heard you clearing your throat too.
“Right… the green dress it is, then.”
“Yeah… okay… grand… erm, like… good…”
“Thanks, Andy.”
“Don’t mention it.”
Christ, please, don’t mention it…
“I’ll get changed real quick.”
He hummed as he nodded, still unable to look at you.
By his side, the elderly lady chuckled, and Andrew wanted to dissolve into nothing, a puddle on the ground, to simply be atomised into thin air…
You bought the dress, Andrew drove you back to Trinity in relative silence. He was too busy picturing you in these dresses again, too busy trying not to picture you in these dresses again.
When you walked back to your office though, it was obvious that you were still sad. That search for a semblance of power over a situation you couldn’t control was gone again. He let out a long exhale through his nose as he looked at you sitting behind your desk. He crossed the room, avoiding the lamp hanging from the ceiling, and gave you a soft smile.
“You’re alright, Y/N?”
You shook your head.
“I’m sorry… I just… I can’t get over it.”
“It’s okay. You’re upset, that’s all.”
“Seeing him like this… wearing these suits… he should have been wearing them for me…”
“I know. I know, Y/N.”
“I want my life back.”
“But you have one. You have one now. You don’t need him in it.”
“I feel like I need him. I feel like I… like I just messed everything up.”
“You didn’t. You didn’t mess anything up. None of this is your fault.”
“If he chose her, then I must be lacking something…”
“You’re not. Trust me, you’re not lacking anything. It’s his loss if he can’t see what’s right in front of him.”
You looked up at him, surprised by the sudden harshness of his tone.
“You don’t need him, Y/N… you… you could have better than him. You… he’s not… He’s not even paying attention to you.”
“What do you mean?”
“He doesn’t really care. I think he’s a little too selfish for that.”
He shook his head.
“I see you with him, you know? You’re not yourself. You’re not… babbling away about cinema, or literature, or art or this recipe you’ve just tried or… it’s like you just shut down. And you listen, and then you make a tiny summary of all the things you wanted to say… but you’re so fucking smart. You’re so fucking interesting. You’re… you shouldn’t be with someone who doesn’t care about what you have to say. And he fucking broke your heart! Why do you still want him? Why…?”
Why do you still want him, instead of me?
But he didn’t say it. He stopped, and closed his fists tightly.
Andrew was growing annoyed, angry even. And of course you noticed, he reckoned he was doing a pretty bad job at hiding his true feelings.
“Y/N… Frank… I’m not saying he’s a bad person, but…”
“But?”
“But he doesn’t deserve you.”
You raised an eyebrow, visibly unimpressed.
“Really? Why not? It’s not like I’m anything special, anyway.”
Andrew frowned hard.
“Are you listening to yourself?!” he asked with something aghast in his voice, a genuine incomprehension that surprised you. “You’re… you’re amazing. You deserve so much better than him! You deserve to be treated with respect, to have someone who actually pays attention to you, who cares about you, who listens to you when you’re talking about your passions, who’s not going to disregard what you’re saying simply because they disagree…”
But you interrupted him with a scoff.
“Perfection doesn’t exist, Andy. I’ve learned as much in life. I don’t have a choice but to settle for less than that.”
“There’s a difference between accepting someone’s faults and flaws and setting the bar so low it’s actually buried underground…”
“You’re one to talk! You’re still in love with Samantha despite how she hurt you, despite the fact that she doesn’t give two shites about your poetry or your work, about the fact that she won’t make a single fucking effort for you…”
“Who says I’m still in love with her?”
You raised a surprised eyebrow, and you were genuinely taken aback this time, Andrew could tell.
“You’re not?” you asked, your tone quieter, Andrew guessed that it was a side-effect of your surprise.
“No, I’m not. I’ve learnt my lesson. I want to move on. I… I’m moving on.”
“Wow… that’s… good… That’s really grand, Andy. Is it… because of that woman you mentioned?”
Andrew’s heart sped up, he could feel himself panicking, he closed and opened his fists multiple times in an attempt to slow down his breathing.
“I… I mean… kind of…”
“Kind of?”
“I…”
He took a deep breath, gathering his courage.
“I want to be with her. I… I just… I haven’t told her yet.”
“Why not? You should ask her on a date.”
But he shook his head.
“She won’t say yes. I know her, she won’t go on a date with me, not for now. Besides… It’s too soon… for me too, I mean. I need to put Sam behind me for good, before I can try to be with her.”
You stared at him with a blank expression… or rather, not blank. The opposite. Like you felt something but tried to show the opposite reaction. The result was unreadable to him.
“I’m glad you’re moving on.”
But your tone was flat, and you didn’t seem happy at all.
“Thanks,” Andrew answered anyway.
You heaved a tired sigh.
“Please, don’t judge me with Frank. I… you don’t understand.”
Andrew sighed too, let the air out through gritted teeth.
“No, you’re right. I don’t understand. I mean… I do. I do understand the process of grieving for a life that wasn’t fully yours to begin with, but you thought would belong to you. But that’s the thing, Y/N. You need to start grieving now. You can’t remain stuck there forever. You… You deserve to be happy. You deserve better than that. Don’t do that to yourself. Especially not for someone like him. We deserve better than this, Y/N.”
You stared at him now, tears in your eyes, a sight he wished he could banish forever. He would take all of your pain away if he could, he would suffer it in your stead.
“It’s not that easy, Andy,” you shook your head, taking a step back.
“It could be. It could be, Y/N…”
“I’ve loved him for so long…”
Andrew slowly nodded.
“You could love again, with a little bit of time. He… he doesn’t care about you, Y/N. He doesn’t… listen when you talk. He acts like he does, but he doesn’t. He’s not interested in what makes you happy…”
“Neither is Sam with you.”
“I know. I know, and I don’t want that anymore.”
“But I want Frank.”
Your voice was shaking, it didn’t sound either earnest nor convincing. Still, hearing the words broke Andrew’s heart.
After everything… how could you still want Frank… why couldn’t you want him instead?
Could you… could you ever want him?
Andrew closed his fists tightly, until he could feel the sharp pain of his nails digging crescent marks into his palm. Perhaps you would never want him. Maybe it wasn’t just about Frank, maybe it was about him… maybe he was simply… not your type, not attractive to you, not good enough.
He let out a long, painful exhale through his nose.
“Would that make you happy?” he genuinely asked, voice quiet, deeper than usual, but softer than before as well. “Is that what will make you happy?”
You stared at him for a moment, then clenched your jaw. When you answered, he couldn’t read in your eyes whether or not you were telling the truth. Maybe you were lying… against all odds, he hoped you were lying.
“Yes.”
One word, breathed out, it was enough to break his heart.
Slowly, Andrew nodded.
“Alright, we’ll do it then. We’ll go to that stupid party. We’ll make him jealous. We’ll make him see what he’s losing by choosing Sam over you. If it’s what it takes for you to be happy… As long as it makes you happy.”
“Thank you.”
He stared at you as you walked back to your desk, sat before your computer, looked at the screen.
He turned around, blinking tears away, stood in front of the window behind his desk.
As long as it would make you happy…

jamie tartt | if somebody hurts you, i wanna fight
MASTERLIST | TAGLIST
words: 2.2k
warnings: 18+
domestic abuse, violence, trauma, the aftermath of an abusive relationship in which jamie finds out your boyfriend, his teammate, is abusing you. takes place when he's playing for manchester city.
prompt: Hey there! I would love to send a prompt request in for Jamie tartt:) number 29, I don’t know why but to me it fits him well! Nothing specific, thank you! 🥰
Tumblr media
Jamie sees the bruises and knows. He’s never had a good feeling about your relationship with Tom, his teammate, but you’ve ignored his warnings despite being friends since childhood.
And now you’re hiding bruises. Anger flares in him, and it’s an effort not to reach out as you get up from the couch to grab popcorn, the staple of any movie night. He thought it strange you turned up on his doorstep after months of barely seeing you, but now he thinks he understands. Your T-shirt rode up for only a moment at your hip before you tugged it down, but he saw the purple welt. His jaw ticks as he listens to you shuffle about, but he can only wait so long. Fingers flexing at his side, he heads in to hear popcorn popping in the microwave.
“Do you want a beer?” you ask, oblivious. When he doesn’t reply, your brows furrow and you look up from the kitchen counter. “What? Why are you looking at me like that?”
“Has he been hurting you?” he questions steadily.
“What?” You’re a terrible actor, but you try nonetheless, eyes widening in feigned confusion.
Jamie takes a deep breath. “Don’t lie to me. I saw the bruises just now. There’s only reason why you wouldn’t tell me about them.”
It makes him sick as he realises the truth of those words; you’d hide it because you know Jamie would react badly, perhaps even sacrificing his spot on the team. Tom’s more popular with the fans, Man City’s star player. If Jamie confronted him… He knew it would be game over. That’s why you’d kept your distance.
And yet he still wanted to. He was already imagining it, shoving Tom against the lockers and beating him the way he’d beaten you. He’d teach him a lesson; nobody would ever hurt you again.
He wouldn’t let them.
You pale, tugging at the hem of your shirt again self-consciously. “I fell.”
Jamie shakes his head, barely even listening now. Lost to his fury. “I’ll teach that wanker a lesson. I’ll fucking kill ‘im. I knew he was trouble. I knew he was no fucking good for you—”
“Jamie, please.” You grab his arm, eyes flooding with tears as you look at him. It’s enough for him to halt, still glaring. “Don’t. Please. I’m handling it.”
“Are you still with ‘im?”
You hesitate at that, a look of shame darkening your features.
“Then you’re not fucking handling it,” he snaps.
“He won’t let me leave,” you whisper, chin wobbling. “I tried. That’s why he… I tried.”
His shoulders heaved with a sigh, but he softened, sympathy swirling in his eyes. “I can help you, love. You should have told me. You used to tell me everythin’.”
Tears slip down your cheeks as he cups your jaw, catching them.
“Hey,” he breathes gently. “It’s okay. You’re safe ‘ere. You know that, don’t you?”
A nod. He pulls you into his chest, and you wrap your arms around him, shuddering as it all comes spilling out. “I’m sorry. I thought he loved me. The first time… He was drunk. I thought he was just drunk. But then he kept… I’m just sorry.”
“No need to apologise, babe.” He plants a kiss in your hair. The microwave dings, the last remaining kernels popping behind the glass, but neither of you move to get it. “It’s not your fault. It’s never your fault.” He closes his eyes, pain searing through him. He can’t bare to think of you hurting like this. He should have realised sooner. Should have known. “How long’s it been going on?”
“A couple of months.”
Too long, then. It’s always going to be too long. “Stay ‘ere with me, yeah?” he asks. “He won’t get to you ‘ere.”
“I don’t want you involved in this—”
“You’re my best fucking friend, and I’m not letting him do this to you again. Never.” He pulls away and forces you to meet his gaze. “He won’t fuckin’ touch you again.”
“I’m begging you. Don’t confront him. Don’t do anything to risk your career. Please. Please promise me.”
His nostrils flare, but he nods. It isn’t quite a promise, though — not one he’s willing to keep, at least.
***
He does his best. He survives practices with the fucker all week while you hide away in his house, rarely getting out of your pyjamas. He has to force you to eat most nights, though you always have a home-cooked meal on the table. He can’t enjoy them, too busy wondering if it’s a forced habit — if maybe you were punished if you didn’t have dinner waiting for Tom.
And then Tom struts into the locker room before a Sunday match in Man City’s home stadium, his gaze already narrowed on Jamie. Wordlessly, he nudges past the other players, and the hair on the back of Jamie’s back prickles as he stops lacing his boot to look up at him.
“I bet you think you’re a right hero, eh?” Tom sneers. “Hiding her away from me. What’d she tell you?”
Jamie’s knuckles whiten, entire body tensing, but then he thinks of his promise to you. “You dunno what you’re talking about, mate,” he replies stiffly, drawing his lace tight.
Tom scoffs. “I know you’re the first person she’d run to.”
This time, Jamie bites, standing up to match his eye level and squaring his shoulders. “And you hate that, don’t you? It must make your fuckin' blood boil. Does it make you feel good, being an abusive twat, or are you that far gone that you don’t care either way?”
Tom slams Jamie’s locker shut, the picture of aggression. Jamie thinks of you facing him, alone in his big old house where no one is there to step in. He thinks of the way you must have flinched at that scorn, and resolves not to on your behalf. He might be breaking one promise, but he’ll keep another: Tom’ll never touch you again.
“You gonna beat me up as well?” he asks, and that anger he’d been suppressing so well is bubbling now; he’s a volcano ready to erupt.
“Oi!” The team manager steps in, drawing everyone’s attention. “We’ve got a job to do today. Whatever the issue is, you save it ‘til later. Am I clear?”
Jamie doesn’t back down, his eyes flaring with dangerous defiance. Tom is the first to nod,  but not before offering a smarmy smirk — as though he’s won. “Yes, boss.”
“Jamie?”
“Yeah,” Jamie mutters finally — for you, he thinks. Anything for you.
*
It doesn’t stop there, though. Tom carries his bitterness onto the pitch, ignoring Jamie through the game so that he’s never passed the ball, never able to score. He’s tackled him more than a few times as though they’re on different teams, and Jamie knows then that he can’t play this game anymore. He won’t. He’ll quit on Monday, find another club to sign him. Maybe even grovel to Ted and go back to Richmond. Anything to get you both out of this.
He tries to be the bigger man, but he’s never been any good at it, so when Tom trips him in another fight for the ball, Jamie can’t do it anymore. His vision blurs into angry red lines as he stands, shins throbbing from the fall, and fists Tom’s sweaty shirt in his hands.
“Someone needs to put you in your fucking place,” he spits, and when Tom only grins again, he launches. His fist meets Tom’s hard jaw, and pain flashes through Jamie’s knuckles. Tom sniffs, spits, and the crowd in the stadium falls quiet enough to hear a pin drop. And then Tom lunges back, and Jamie feels the blow through every bone in his body.
It doesn’t stop him from punching him again. “See how you fuckin’ like it!” he’s screaming, again and again and again, all scrambling limbs and fierce hits between them. His knuckles and mouth turn bloody, and so do Tom's. Finally, they’re yanked away from one another.
Even as Jamie is pulled off the pitch, he’s bellowing across the field: “You’re nothing, you! A piece of fucking shit!”
“And who are you?” Tom calls. “Her knight in shining armour? You’re useless. You’re nobody!”
Jamie’s heard that more than a few times now. He no longer sees Tom’s face, but his own father’s. That’s why he couldn’t let this go, he realises. He could never stand up to his own bully, so he’s stood up to yours instead.
Spitting blood from his mouth, he leaves the pitch — knowing it might be for the last time. Knowing that if it is, it was worth it.
*
You saw it all on TV, and you’ve been waiting for the door to swing open ever since. Finally, it does — and you don’t even know what to say. Jamie’s mouth is swollen and his nose bloody, and you want to shout at him for being so stupid, for doing the one thing you asked him not to — in front of everyone. But in the end, you can only sigh, wiping the tears from your eyes.
“I know I fucked it up,” he rasps. “Maybe I should be sorry, but'm not. He fuckin’ deserved it.”
“And what about your job?” you ask, crossing your arms over your chest. You still wear your pyjamas, too afraid to go home and get fresh clothes. Too depressed to even try.
Jamie shrugs, throwing down his bag. “Don’t know yet. Doesn’t matter. I’m not playing on the same team as a dickhead like that.”
“But where will you play now?” Panic rises in you as you think about this means. You’ve never known Jamie without football, and to imagine him losing it now, because of you… It’s almost worse than what Tom did to you, maybe because you care more about your best friend than you ever could yourself. It’s wrong, but it’s true.
“I dunno. It doesn’t matter.” He sniffs, and you sigh, softening as you move towards him to examine his injuries.
Without a word, you head into the kitchen to wrap some ice in a towel. He follows slowly, sluggishly, as though he has no fight left in him. He used it all on the pitch. A stadium of fucking people. God, you’re angry. With Tom, with Jamie, with everyone. You shove the ice pack into his chest, blood pumping in your ears.
“It fucking matters,” you snap. “This is your life. I asked you not to ruin it because of me—”
“My life was ruined the minute you started dating that fucking prick!” he shouts.
You frown, confused. “What?” Your voice trembles.
Jamie purses his lip, shaking his head as he presses the ice to his bruised jaw. “Forget it. I did what I needed to. It wasn’t just for you, either. You’re not the only one who’s been bullied before. I’m sick of pushing it aside. Sick of 'em getting away with it. I can’t fight back for myself, but I can at least do it for you.”
You understand then. His dad. Tears sting your eyes.  “Jamie…” You make to reach out, but he draws back as though your touch is venom. It hurts. You stumble back, feeling heavy and wrong. This is your fault. All of it.
“I shouldn’t have come to you. I shouldn’t have put you in this position," you say.
“Stop it. I told you it isn’t your fault.”
“It is.” You close your eyes, cheeks growing damp.
“Babe…” He’s there in a heartbeat, cupping your face with bloody hands. “Don’t. Please, don’t. Just look at me a minute.”
You do.
“I don’t give a shit about what this means for me. I don’t care if I’m never signed again. I only care that you’re safe. The dick was taunting me, and everyone will see that, but either way… you’re what matters. Nothin’ else.”
You can’t speak, your throat thick with emotion.
“I know you didn’t tell me because you knew this would happen, but I need you to understand that it’s happened because I love you. Because I always have and I always will. And if somebody hurts you, I’m not letting them get away with it.
“I shouldn’t have lost my temper like that. I know that. I don’t wanna be like ‘im, I don’t want you to see me like that. But I wasn’t going to let him keep doing it. Not to me or to you.”
You hate it. Of course you do. But you love him, and you know that if the roles were reversed, you’d choose him over anything. You know that this wasn’t an act of violence, but of love and pent-up anger.
“You’re not like him,” you say gently. “You could never be like him.”
He kisses your forehead, and your eyes flutter shut again as you lean into him.
“You’re worth it,” he whispers. “You’re worth all of it. I just wish I could’ve been there for you sooner.”
You tuck yourself into his chest as he squeezes you tightly, smelling of grass and sweat and dirt. You haven’t felt safe in a long time. You haven’t felt loved in a long time, either. “You’re here now,” you say.
He nods, chin brushing the crown of your head. “‘S gonna be okay now. I’ve got you.”
You finally believe him.

By Any Means
Oooh this took so long, but I wanted it to be a bit darker. I hope reader beats the shit out of this asshole (affectionate). Next chapter, the inevitable confrontation.
tw: Logan is a bit delusional (He's a man in love y'all); brief dark!logan, implied manipulative!Logan (this preening slut needs to be taught that actions have consequences), implied harm to a child, female reader, murder.
Tumblr media
Logan has turned visiting his former universe into an habit; he makes sure to be extra careful, though, because Wade, as stupid and childish as he is, has proven to be way smarter than he pretends to be. The last thing he needed was the Merc with a Mouth doing what he did best and fucking everything up.
Also, he didn't want to put into jeopardy the universe they had fought so hardly to save. His new home needed an anchor and he had to make sure he didn't leave for too long before it started collapsing again.
During his visits, Logan makes sure to always wear the suit. He doesn't want his daughter's first memory of him to be 'the creepy guy who's staring at us across the street'.
He'll admit that his interest borders on obsession and stalking. He knows by heart your schedules, knows which places you frequent, where do you usually like to eat and who do you regularly interact with.
There are times when he comes at night, just to watch you sleep and keep guard over you. Just watching you sleep peacefully is enough for him to put him into a better mood after a long and tiring day of dealing with Wade and his 'jobs'.
As much as he repeats it to himself, Logan finds it hard to believe that he has had a daughter with you, because he knows that's his daughter. He could smell her all the way back from where he was posted. She was his. You were his.
He knows you know he's there. He tried to be discreet to not stress you more than necessary, but it seemed that just seeing him the other day was enough to put you on edge.
He refused to ignore how much that burned him.
Logan knew it was a terrible idea to keep holding on to that thought, that faint hope that he could just walk back into your life and become a happy big family again. He had hurt you pretty badly and he was sure that given the chance, he would hurt his little one, Ava, too.
But he couldn't walk away. He just couldn't.
He craved those moments with you. He desired them more than he had ever desired anything in his 200 hundred years of life. It was an addiction. If there was something he wanted more than watch those sweet moments from afar was to be a part of them.
He wanted to take his daughter to school and take you to work before going to his own place. He wanted to prepare and then eat meals with you two, clean the dishes together, watch a movie together as a family. He wanted to put his kid to bed, read her a bedtime story and give her a goodnight kiss.
He wanted to make love to you so desperately he wouldn't stop until he was sure you were nice and full with cub number two. Mark up your body over and over again, with his tongue, teeth and scent, memorizing each one of your newfound curves. He wanted to pamper you, kiss you, tell you how much he loved you and how much you meant to him.
A memory crossed his brain like a sharp knife. Your tears, your accusations, your fearful expression when you felt his claws against your neck and when you saw him again after his ten year long absence.
What kind of husband did that?
What kind of man tortured his wife like that, completely ignoring how the situation was affecting her too?
What kind of husband and father abandoned his family for ten years to get drunk and kill without control?
How could he face you again. No matter how good he had done in Wade's universe, he still had hurt you in this one. And no amount of multiverse savings would ever erase that.
A laughter pulled him out from those dark thoughts. You were making cupakes together, well, what you were actually making was a mess, parts of the dough had gotten stuck to you hairs and your faces and clothes were stained with flour. Yet, it was the happiest he had seen you in a long time. Once again, he was overcome with a deep feeling of longing.
Ten years.
Ten fucking years drowning in shame and self hate.
The horror at his own actions and he disgust he felt towards himself had prevented him from checking on you all those years back. At that time he had thought that it was probably the best for you. He was too broken and fucked up. A dangerous man who only brought death and misery to everyone around him.
Now he saw what a big mistake that decision bad been.
But, what if.-
An even more dangerous idea than the one that had led him there in the first place started to take form in his mind.
He couldn't bring back all those memories he had missed. But he could make new ones. He could make up for the lost time, there could be a small chance he could make up for all the grief he had brought you.
The more he thought about it, the less hare-brained it seemed for him and the bigger his determination grew.
It was settled then.
You two would go back with him
-----------------------------------------------------------
He didn't have the fucking slightest idea about what he was doing. The only thing he knows is that he's going to get inside that house and take you with him back to his new universe whetever you wanted it or not. He knows it's risky, dangerous even; but sometimes the biggest rewards come at the expense of taking the biggest risks.
He spends the next few days walking around your neighbourhood during daytime, letting anybody who's interested know that public enemy number one was prowling around those streets.
Soon, his actions started to come to fruition. The mistrusting and very anti mutant locals started coming out less from the safety of their homes and there seemed to be more police patrols than usual
The seed had been planted. Now he just needed to water it.
The next step of his plan was the hardest and most difficult for him, but it was a necessary evil to achieve his goals. It started as a small rumor, but soon it became a well known fact that the wife of The Wolverine and his supposed spawn were currently residing in that building.
What was once small whispers soon became a roaring clamor of rage and vengeance. He knew he was deliberately putting you and your child in danger, but no harm would come to you. Not as long as he was there. He wouldn't allow it.
Right now. Logan needed to be patient. All the parts of his plan had been completed flawlessly, the only thing left to do was sit and wait. Wait for the inevitable moment when shit would hit the fan.
He didn't need to wait long.
As always, cowards striked in the dark of the night.
He smelled them before he even saw them. He could hear the rage in their heartbeats, the resentment. Their desire for vengeance. Logan felt that molotov cocktail before it was even thrown through your window. That was his clue to take action.
He barged his way in through the crowd and into the building. Screams of terror mixed with those of anger. He rammed into them like a raging bull, but always being careful to not unsheathe his claws. As much as he desired to, he promised himself he wouldn't let his protective rage blind him from his goal.
But promises were meant to be broken after all.
Specially if there was some idiot at your door with a broken bottle trying to forcefully let himself in while there was an alarmingly amount of smoke coming out your apartment.
He found some pride in saying that at least it was quick and painless, or he hoped so. The guy didn't saw his claws coming through his neck and jaw, and in a blink, he dropped to the ground like a ragdoll. Logan didn't bother with formalities after that, with a kick he bursted the door opened and frantically searched for you and the child.
The fire had spread so quickly, from just one molotov, the thick smoke was clouding his enhanced sense of smell and made his eyes water through the mask. He squinted through the room until his sensitive ears caught the rythmic beating of two hearts.
Scared. They sounded scared.
He needed to act fast.
He found you in a semi crouching position in the bathroom, unconscious, but alive. Using your own body as a shield to protect your child. You two looked so defenseless, so helpless without someone who would take care of you properly.
His heart filled with a mixture of love, grief and guilt.
This would be the last time you suffered because of him. He swore on that. He was here now and he would protect you from any harm.
You three were going to be a family.
You were going home.
