Hi,

I make period drama style gifs. If you use gif packs, please like and reblog them. Most of my projects are already ready, but every day I post no more than 190 gifs. Because that was the reason why my previous account was blocked.

I tried to make gif packs in a format more familiar to you with a link to a separate page. However, unfortunately, I did not succeed because of the large format of high-quality gifs.

I want to explain about color processing. Usually, I improve the contrast, brightness and saturation, but leave the naturalness of the film. I don't make the contours too sharp because I like the aesthetic of it looking like a natural image.

if you could date only one character from all the anime shows you have watched (or otome games you have played), who would it be?

in case it's hard to chose only one character, i have a probably easier question: which world would you go to? it could be naruto, mha, death note or another one:)

Ohhhh, this is so hard!!! Okay, I'm going to break it into categories.

1. Date only one character from any anime I've watched

So, I'm going to go for realism. Who would realistically be paired well with me. I don't want children which pushes out a lot of characters.

By fandom, here are my first thoughts:

Naruto: Iruka, Kakashi, Kankuro

Saiki: none

Black butler: none

Yuri on ice: none

BNHA: Maybe Aizawa?

Death note: I love L actually, I'm going to put him here lol

OHSHC: hmm, none

Fullmetal alchemist: errrr, I always thought Kain Fuery was adorable, but I don't know if I know enough about him to count him on this list or not.

I don't know if I've seen any others...? I'm probably forgetting one though haha. I'd say from the list above, I couldn't handle the realities of dating L or Aizawa, I'll discount Kain for lack of info, I refuse to live in the dessert, so that's a no for Kankuro, and I don't know if I could support Kakashi properly.

It's going to have to be my boy, Iruka!

2. Who would I date from the otome/dating games I've played?

By game, first thoughts:

Obey me: none, actually dating millennia old beings would probably suck ngl.

WTNC: Ezra, I love him, he's so cute.

The arcana: Hmmm, none. I love Asra, but there's too much going on there, wayyy too stressful.

7kpp: Duke Lyon is by far my favourite... Would he want children though??? I feel like he wouldn't, but there is a whole sucession thing... I choose to believe he'd stand up to pressure and go for what he wanted!

TWC: None, I love Nate, but he's too tall for me and dating a vampire seems messy.

Ebon Light: None, I love Vadeyn, but I don't want to live in the country with military elves, not for me lol.

Err, I've definitely played so many more of these, but I have to pick Duke Lyon from Seven Kingdoms: The Princess Problem because I love him so much. All I hope for is that the full game gets released before I finish my master's degree in about 4 and a half years. Somehow I still feel like it's a long shot :(((((

But I seriously recommend 7kpp if anyone is interested (and the other games on the list!). I think the forum with the extended demo was down for a while, I don't know if it still is, but I have the files if anyone wants them.

And finally:

3. Which world would I go to?

This is tricky. Going by the anime worlds on my list for question one...

Naruto is out of the question.

Saiki would kinda be awesome. It'd just be the normal world but people heal fast, have cooler hair colours etc. Sounds good to me!

Black butler: Ehh, it would only be good if I were rich. From what I know, my family were rich during this time period, but they also all only spoke German, so I'd be a bit stuck :(

Yuri on ice: This is just modern day without homophobia I guess? I can't ice skate, but the world seems nice!

BNHA: Modern world but with quirks... hmmm. I don't think the chance of having a cool superpower overrides the chance of being murdered by someone else with a cooler superpower. I'll say no.

Death note: This is just the early- mid 2000s but with a deadly world serial killer. I already lived through the early-mid 2000s and I don't think adding a serial killer would make it better. Pass.

OHSHC: Well, I did go to a fairly fancy private school, and a lot of the richest people there were truly insufferable, and I don't want to repeat that. But then again, I guess the world in general is just also a 2000s world, but where there are somehow seven summers in two years.

And finally FMA: Listen, I would love to learn alchemy. But I also don't want to live in a military dictatorship :( Going to have to be no.

So, I guess I pick either Saiki K world or Yuri on Ice world which are both slightly better versions of reality haha. I think my final decision would depend on what other changes Saiki had made. He may have also stopped homophobia or something, so my final choice would depend on that info.

A series of stories inspired by Subl1m1nals own series Mimic Verse, wherein an evil version of Technoblade takes his counterparts place. Tommy is the only one who notices Techno’s change in personality, and tries to prove to the rest of their friends that this is not their Technoblade. (Set outside of the Dream SMP!) Lots of angst and hurt/comfort from Subl1m1nal, and a ton of angst and pain from my series.

Summary: When a duchess and her children are abandoned far from home, they must rely on the kindness of one stranger to guide them home.

"That's enough!" a voice rang out, crisp and clear through the tension of the garden. "What in Kevva's name is going on out here?!"

Edgar whipped around to face the newcomer into the group. He looked bewildered and a little horrified when the woman approached and he glanced towards Ezra, who was still on his knees at the mercy of the two guards holding him down. 

"M-milady," Edgar stammered, trying to shield her from Ezra with his body. "Is there something you need? More tea, perhaps?"

"I heard some commotion," she said softly as she tightened a shawl around her shoulders. "It sounded like the children!"

Edgar scowled and then smiled as he placed his hand on his chest. "Your highness, please know I have had my men searching diligently for them for months now. There's been no sign of them."

"Your highness," Ezra gasped, trying to crane his neck to look around Edgar. "Please, the children, they're---"

One of the guards holding Ezra slammed the back of his thrower into the side of his head. He grunted in pain and dropped to the ground. One guard let him go and the other twisted his arm around against his back and Ezra let out a sharp cry. He twisted his head around and stared up at her, his eyes brimming with involuntary tears.

"The children?" she whispered, one hand flying to the brooch at her neck. She stared at Ezra for a moment before she turned back to Edgar. "Who is this man?"

"A vagrant, your majesty," Edgar said dismissively with a wave of his hand. "We found him trying to break into the palace through the back gate."

"Please," Ezra groaned, trying to break his hand free of the guard's grasp. "Please, the children are in danger!"

"What is he saying?" the woman asked, peering around Edgar even as he tried to gently nudge her away. She glared at her butler and moved to push his hands free from her. "About the children? Young man, the children! Speak up!"

"Fuck! They're in the shed!" Ezra cried out in pain as the guard twisted his arm around further. He felt his shoulder pop and protest as it was pushed to its limits. Another guard delivered a swift kick to his stomach.

"Shut up, dog!" one of them ordered.

The woman began to weep and she shook her head. "You are cruel. Please do not speak of such things! Do not torture an old woman like this!"

"Grandmother!" Muffled, frantic voices echoed throughout the garden.

The woman, now known to Ezra as the princess, the Duchess' mother, froze in place. Tears streamed down her face and she slowly turned to face Edgar.

"What is the meaning of this?" she asked, finally pushing herself away from him. He let her go without trying to stop her. She turned to one of the guards and pointed at the shed. "You! Open that shed at once!"

"Please!" one of the twins shouted. "Mama is hurt!"

One of the guards swiftly moved to the shed, despite the loud protests from Edgar. He busted the lock holding the children and the Duchess inside and yanked the door open.

The princess shouted with joy and dropped to her knees as the children came running towards her. She opened her arms wide and pulled them in for a warm embrace.

"Your highness!" the guard shouted, drawing the princess' attention from laving her grandchildren with kisses. He stepped out of the shed, holding the Duchess in his arms.

Her face was covered in blood as it dripped from a cut on her hairline. There were streaks of it on the cream colored fabric of her dress and on her hands from where she'd grabbed at the wound.

"Princess!" Ezra croaked, his voice coming out jagged and rough with effort.

The princess turned to him and followed his agonized gaze to her daughter. She stood and rushed to her daughter's side, ordering the guard to set her body down.

"Call for the doctor at once!" she ordered. As the guard rushed towards the house, she quickly added, "And the police!"

Ezra grunted in pain as the guard holding him pressed down on his back with his boot.

"Fuck," he croaked, "Let me up! The duchess--"

"Do not let him up until the police arrive!" Edgar ordered. "He stays right there!"

"Mr. Ezra!" Marie cried, rushing towards him. She knelt down beside him and patted his hair. "Mama called your name in the shed. Are you okay?"

"Get away from him, girl!" Edgar snarled, yanking her away by the arm.

She gave a shrill yell and tried to pull away from him. "No!! Grandmama, he's hurting me!"

The princess looked up from her daughter and drew herself up to her full height. Even though the guards towered over her, they shrunk back in fear.

"Edgar, you will unhand her at once!" she ordered. She pointed to the guard that was still detaining Ezra. "And you, you will apprehend him!"

The guard glanced at the others and then at Edgar. He let Ezra fall unceremoniously to the ground and sprung towards Edgar. Though the butler attempted to flee, he was easily captured and wrestled to the ground. 

Ezra wheezed and shook with the effort of holding himself upright on one hand. Marie, with all her little strength, tried to help lift him into a sitting position.

Aiden and Henry rushed over to hoist him up. They shouldered his weight as best they could and helped him crawl on his knees towards the Duchess.

"Grandmother," Henry said sheepishly as he glanced between the two adults. "This is Mr. Ezra. He rescued us."

Ezra bowed his head and winced in pain at the movement. "Your majesty. It's a pleasure to finally meet you."

"He saved us from the bad man," Marie said, climbing into his lap. She smiled and wrapped her little arms around his shoulders. "Tried to save us from Edgar too!"

Loud sirens wailed in the distance, growing closer by the minute as the authorities made their way to the palace.

"Grandmother," Aiden murmured, putting his hand on hers as she held the Duchess in her arms. "Is Mr. Ezra in trouble?"

She started to reply, but was cut off by a furious cry from Edgar as he thrashed in the arms of the guards. "This is an outrage! Completely ridiculous! Unhand me immediately!" He continued to resist them even as they dragged him into the house. 

The princess smiled and looked at her grandchildren. She put her hand on Marie's cheek and looked at all three of her grandchildren. "No, my loves. If he rescued you, he is not in trouble."

Marie giggled and held on tight to Ezra as the sirens grew closer. She reached down and held her mother's hand, not wanting anyone to tear them apart.

The Duchess finally, blessedly came to when Ezra called her name just as police and additional palace security entered the garden. She reached up with a shaky hand and held onto his arm. "Thank you," she whispered.

Ezra leaned down and kissed her forehead. He nudged his nose against hers and smiled. "Always, Princess. Always."

A few days after the events in the garden, you finally were released from the care of the palace physicians and allowed to go back to your room. The children were grateful for that and insisted on walking with you back to your bedroom, asking you a million questions simultaneously.

You answered each of their questions patiently, hoping they would understand what had happened. You decided it best to leave out the part where Edgar had essentially sold you all in an attempt to claim the throne for himself. 

Your mother and grandmother had come to your room in the physician's ward as soon as you were feeling better and explained everything that had happened once Edgar had been apprehended by authorities. 

It somehow had come to light that Edgar was to be dismissed following the death of the Queen, and a new staff would be brought in, as was customary. Apparently, he was not a fan of that tradition, and set about making it so he would never have to leave, by way of the murder and imprisonment the entire royal family.

However, he had not planned on the kindness of strangers when he dropped your pod over Muir's atmosphere. He never planned that you would even survive the drop.

He especially didn't plan on you falling in love. 

Quite honestly, you didn't plan on it either. Falling in love isn't something one ever plans, like a dinner party or a trip to the store. It is spontaneous and beautiful, like a summer rainstorm. 

Ezra had been to visit you every day while you were in the physician's ward. He would never have left your side had it not been for the palace doctor ordering you to bed at a reasonable hour.

When you finally reached your bedroom, the children opened the doors for you, insisting they wanted to help as much as they could. Marie was bouncing on her feet as her brothers pulled open the doors. You glanced down at her and raised a brow. The children had been more secretive this morning and you'd not seen Ezra at all.

Everything clicked into place when you stepped into your bedroom. Sunlight streamed through the large open windows that overlooked the garden. A gentle breeze lifted the gossamer curtains so they brushed the legs of the furniture. On almost every surface were vases brimming with flowers and hundreds of cards from well-wishers, their hopes for your speedy recovery scribbled inside. In the middle of it all, and perhaps the most beautiful sight, was Ezra.

He offered you that same boyish grin he flashed you the first day you met. His hair, normally shaggy and unruly, had been smoothed down, though it had definitely put up a fight. He wore a new deep green sweater, the sleeve of his missing arm neatly pinned up.

"Princess," he hummed, holding his arm out to you. "Welcome home. I suspect I am not the first to properly say so, but I am---"

You raced towards him and threw yourself into his waiting arm to kiss him deeply. Behind you, the children giggled and Marie clapped her hands.

"Mama, mama!" she cried, "Mama, guess what?!"

"Shut up, Marie!" Aiden shushed, putting a finger to his lips. 

You pulled away from the kiss and scolded your eldest. "Apologize to your sister."

"Aw, Princess, they're just kids," Ezra hummed, cupping your cheek and pulling you back in for a kiss. "They're just excited, that's all."

"What are you all excited for?" you asked as you turned to your children. They glanced over your shoulder briefly before shaking their heads innocently.

"Nothing," Marie said, averting her gaze.

"Just excited you're back with us," Mama," Henry said with a toothy grin.

"Yes, we missed you!" Aiden chimed in.

"I'm so glad you're all terrible liars," you said with a chuckle. "I know you won't get into mischief when you're older. Now what are you planning?"

Ezra chuckled and wrapped his arm around your waist and rested it against your lower back. "Princess, will you take a walk in the garden with me?"

You raised a brow and then nodded slowly, a bit hesitant. Whatever they were planning, obviously all four of them were involved. 

You wondered what could be such a big secret that they were keeping it from you - especially the children. They could never keep a secret from you for very long. "Of course."

Ezra grinned and offered his arm for you to loop yours through. The sunlight lit up his face, and for a moment, the blonde tuft of hair appeared white. 

You smiled and gave his arm a squeeze. "Lead the way, sir."

The children trailed behind you at a distance, giggling excitedly and shushing one another. Every time you glanced back at them, they quieted themselves and straightened their backs, trying too hard to appear completely innocent.

The back garden had been meticulously cleaned and maintained in the few days since you'd arrived back at the palace. There was no evidence that something horrific had almost occurred there. Everything had been put back in order, per Ezra's careful dictation to the staff, though he had sheepishly admitted to lending a hand now and then.

He gave you a personal, private tour, pointing out the changes he'd made, and what was still to come. 

"All of it," he said, kissing the back of your hand. "For you, Princess. I know how much you love this garden and all its vibrant splendor, so I hope I have not overstepped nor made any critical mistakes."

"Oh, Ez," you breathed, looking at the new plants he had helped the palace staff plant and place, "It's so beautiful! I love it! Is this what you had been keeping so secret, children?"

The three of them giggled and shook their heads. "No, mama," they answered in the type of perfect, rehearsed unison that usually came with ulterior motives.

"Alright, you three," Ezra said with a firm, but mischievous look. "I think it's high time you go find your grandmother. Or see if Mara needs help in the kitchen. Now."

The children giggled again and took off running back towards the house, whispering excitedly the whole way. Something was definitely up. 

"What in the stars name is going on?" you asked, turning to look at Ezra.

He looked at you, his mouth set in a firm line, his eyes locked with yours. He gave your hand a squeeze and took a deep breath to steady himself.

"All of this," he said softly, gesturing with a nod of his head around at the garden, "All of this, is my gift to you, Princess. I couldn't simply just leave this place filled with those memories of what transpired here the other day. It would not have been right."

Your heart sank into your stomach and you felt your breath catch in your throat. Tears welled up in your eyes, stinging and threatening to spill down your face. "Ezra, why does this sound like you're going away? Like I'm never going to see you again? Why does this sound like our goodbye?" 

Ezra reached up to brush the tears away before they even had a chance to fall. He gently pulled you in for a kiss and smiled against your mouth. When you let out a sob, he shook his head. "Hey, now. There isn't gonna be any of that, okay? No crying, no goodbyes. I'm going to stay here with you."

You hiccupped and looked at him in disbelief. Was he being serious? Did he mean it? He wanted to stay here. With you. With the children. 

"You mean it?" you breathed, unable to find the words to properly speak. It felt as if the very air had been pulled from your lungs --- but in the absolute best way possible.

"With my whole heart, I do," he said with a soft smile. "When I saw you get pulled out of that shed a few days ago, I realized that if I lost you then, I would be a broken man. Nothing would feel complete in my life if I never saw you, never saw those kids again. So, if you will have me, I would like it very much if I were able to stay here with you. Forever, if you will have me."

"Ezra," you breathed, tears sliding down your cheeks before you could even stop them. "Ez, are you asking what---"

He cleared his throat and clenched his jaw so hard, you saw the muscle tense in his cheek. "I am asking you something that a few years ago, I would have deemed completely out of character for myself. But it would bring me the greatest joy in my life if you would do me the honor of becoming my wife? A-and not just a wife, Kevva no, a partner. For life."

You nodded quickly and threw your arms around his neck, breathing in the spice of his soap. "Yes!" you gasped breathlessly. "A thousand times, yes!"

Ezra let out a bark of excited laughter and threw his arm around your waist. He pulled back and kissed you deeply, only to part with another breathless peal of laughter when the children came sprinting back into the garden.

"Did she say yes?!" Marie demanded immediately. "Mama, did you say yes?"

"Of course she did!" Henry replied with a grin. "I told you she would!"

"Does this mean we need to call Mr. Ezra "papa" now?" Aiden asked, tugging on your dress. 

You chuckled and looked down at Aiden. You put a gentle hand on the top of his head. "My sweet, you can call him whatever you wish. Though I'm sure great-grandmother will have some say as to---" You paused and looked back at Ezra.

"What's the matter?" Ezra asked, pressing a kiss to your cheek as he held you close.

"Did you ask for my grandmother's approval?" you asked quietly. When Ezra looked confused, you shook your head and continued. "She is the only one who can approve marriages within our family."

"And you have no say in this?" Ezra chuckled in disbelief. He shook his head and then looked down at Marie who had started to cry.

"I don't," you murmured. "She's the only one. It's a barbaric practice, and one that can clearly be omitted, but my grandmother is nothing if not traditional."

"Mama," Marie cried, "She's going to say no!"

You gently shushed her and bent low to pick her up. "You don't know that, little bug."

"Well, let's go ask her," Ezra insisted with a small, reassuring smile. He rubbed his thumb over your back reassuringly. "I am willing to do whatever it takes," he promised you.

You choked out a sob before you smiled through your tears. "I can only hope she will be in good spirits when you approach her."

Ezra gave a half shrug. "I've worked with far less hospitable and agreeable people, Princess. Don't you worry."

You felt like your grandmother was taking an exceptionally long time to give Ezra her answer. Though she was incredibly old, she was still as sharp as a tack. It was definitely something she used to her advantage - not many people anticipate her being a formidable adversary in regards to disputes. Perhaps both she and Ezra had met their match in terms of wit. 

You sat out in the dark hallway on one of the plush benches outside of her drawing room. You were no stranger to sitting here. 

This was where you'd sat while you waited for a lecture on how a proper duchess should act when you were caught climbing the tree in the garden as a child. Where you had sat when you got in trouble for sneaking off with the cook's son as a teenager. And where you had sat for hours while your first husband asked for your grandmother's blessing of his proposal.

Now, you were back. It was agony. The fear of her disapproval hung over you like a dark cloud. If she said no, it would absolutely crush you. And not to mention what it would do to the children. They were so excited at the idea that they might soon have a father. You didn't know what you would tell them if her answer was no.

Maybe you could run away with him and the children? Could that be even in the realm of possibilities? Or would they send someone after you? After what happened with Edgar, it didn't seem too unlikely.

You were finally about to give up hope of Ezra ever actually coming out of your grandmother's drawing room again when the handle jostled slightly as if someone had out their hand on it. 

There was a boisterous laugh from Ezra that echoed in the room behind the door and you shot out of your seat like it had burned you. You were nearly vibrating with anticipation, waiting for Ezra to open the door and give you whatever news he had, good or bad.

He came out into the hallway and shut the door quietly before turning to you, a serious and grim expression on his face.

"Well?" you asked, nearly breathless. You clasped your hands to your chest and held your breath.

"She gave us her full approval," he said, grinning from ear to ear. "She commended me for my part in your rescue and how I helped you and the children on Muir. I suppose she wanted to hear my side of the story as well."

You threw yourself into his embrace and laughed with him joy. "Ez!" you squealed as he peppered your face with kisses. "Oh, this is wonderful! We must tell the children immediately!"

Ezra grinned and pulled back to press an open mouth kiss to your jaw. "They are playing outside, Princess. I figured we have a few minutes to ourselves. Now that you're not in the physician's ward anymore."

Ezra kissed you again and pressed his forehead to yours. "Now who would I be to deny such a simple request?"

The fall solstice is only days from breaking over the Crimson City. Heat is a rare commodity to the residents of Chicago, so they part with it bitterly every year at the annual End-of-Summer Festival. The season goes out with a bang and the rumble of food trucks every summer as patrons waltz their way down the Chicago art walk, indulge in all things saucy and boozy at the Chicago Bourbon and BBQ Festival, get in touch with nature at the Chicago craft beer tasting at the zoo, and shop at the Chicago flea market littered with street merchants from all over the country. Of course, the real selling point every year is the annual Chicago bar crawl, which sweeps guests through Cook County’s best bars, like The Pint, Rousseau’s, Cataleya, Wolves and Skyfall Bar. To attract more customers, each bar, restaurant, and club—even what goes on behind—will be steeply discounted for the ultimate occasion. 

And if you’re a little territorial, don’t sweat it—no metal detectors will be necessary at the End-of-Summer Festival. Who would want to ruin all this fun, anyway ?!

Part I of the End-of-Summer Festival begins at 7:15 P.M. CST and will conclude on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 15 at 7 P.M. CST. You may continue your non-event  threads through the event, however we ask you don’t post any starters unless they pertain to the event

We’re going to allow each person to choose two plot slots for two characters max .If there are any leftovers, we’ll let members know when they can sign up for thirds. Please try to pick one pertaining to your character and plot with those that take the other spots.

You’ll notice that some of these plots are public, so feel free to have your character react to them/ notice them even if they aren’t happening directly to your character. However, if something feels like it happened privately to another character, please check in with their Mun to see if it’s okay for your character to know.

To be clear: these are not the only things that happen to your character during this plot drop and you are more than welcome to cook up your own trouble.

1. IRA EVANS talks BIRDIE MENDOZA into taking five shots in under ten minutes. Now, it’s up to IRA EVANS to lug BIRDIE MENDOZA to each location on the bar crawl. Good luck—we hear they’re sloppy.

2. [LINCOLN ROSSI ] is having trouble finding their way out of the parking garage when they find [ CHARACTER D ] drunkenly screaming at an intoxicated [ CHARACTER E ]. [ LINCOLN ROSSI ] decides to guide them back to the party before they get lost.

3. [ EDIE JAMES ] accidentally drops a ten instead of a one into the tip jar while watching a street act. They awkwardly remove the tip but later get mugged by [ CHARACTER G ] and [ CHARACTER H ] who had watched the whole thing.

4. The Pint is running a promotion that promises six months of free drinks if you can outdrink two other people. [ LAVRENTI VASILE ], [ ANTON VOLKOV ], and [ ATTICUS MERCER ] compete to win, but the competition turns into drunken chaos very quickly.

5. [ VIOLET MADDEN ]is selected to go onstage and perform a duet with [ CHARACTER M ]. They end up sharing a heated moment over the microphone and head to the nearest restroom to talk. 

6. [ AUTUMN DAWSON ] accompanies [ MARCEL WALSH] to the craft beer tasting at the zoo. [ MARCEL WALSH ] feeds the goats in the petting area before getting mowed over by it. [ AUTUMN DAWSON ] tries to ward the goat off from the sidelines while [ MARCEL WALSH ] returns to their feet to make their escape.

7. [ OAKLEY BUTLER ] is showing off their artwork at the art walk. [ LEONID 'LEO' VASILE ] buys a piece and tries to scam it a few booths down. [ OAKLEY BUTLER ] busts them after a civilian buys the piece of artwork for triple the price. The confrontation is no bueno.

9. TYSON KANE uses a random dating app and schedules a blind date with [CHARACTER V]. 

10. [ CHARACTER W ] ‘accidentally’ sets a booth on fire, and now owes [CHARACTER X] the money for their artwork.

11. [ NADIA JAMES ] crashes into [ MARISSA ATKINSON’s ] car when trying to park. They have an altercation in the parking garage.

12. [ JUNO SONG ] is seen drunkenly trying to serenade the penguin exhibit to Gangsta’s Paradise. [ ADELAIDE HASSAN ] records the whole entire thing for ‘information purposes’ later.

13. [ CHARACTER C1 ] accepts a small baggy containing a questionable substance from [ CHARACTER D1 ]. Later, [ CHARACTER C1] runs into [ CHARACTER D1] completely convinced they are being chased by a murderous peacock. Bougie Thankskilling, anyone?

14. [ ARMANDE IVASHKOV ] & [ CHARACTER F1 ] stand in line to get into Cataleya, while [CHARACTER G1] tries to convince them to smuggle in [ SMALL ANIMAL OF CHARACTER G1’S CHOOSING ].

15. [ EMMA BARTLETT] finds a trashbag full of cash with a note that seems to be in a binary code. [ CHARACTER I1] catches [ EMMA BARTLETT’s] silhouette & comes over to inspect.

16. ROSALIA LEON trying to escape from their date, runs right through the doors of Gentile Fille. They collide with [ CHARACTER K1] that was there for the same reason. 

17. [ CHARACTER L1 ] finds themself in a pickle when they end up with the primates. Their panicked whispers gain the attention of [ CHARACTER M1] & [ CHARACTER N1] to help them get out of the exhibit. While the primates descend upon [ CHARACTER L1], Helen Branch Primate House will never be the same. [ CHARACTER N1] stops helping because they’re too busy laughing.

18. [ CHARACTER O1] misses their date’s ass, and smacks [CHARACTER P1’s] ass instead. It causes [ CHARACTER P1] to swing a fist, but they hit [ CHARACTER Q1’s] throat instead causing them to start choking. 

19. [ KATERINA VASILE ] is mistaken for [ EMMA WATSON ] by [ CHARACTER S1] that won’t stop bugging them for an autograph.

20. [ RAFAEL GONZALEZ ] hides their weapon(s) before they go into The Pint. [ BARNABY EATON] trips over the weapons and keeps them. 

21. [ CHARACTER V1] tries to convince [ CHARACTER W1] that they saw strange lights in the sky. They start arguing if it was helicopter lights or UFO’s.

22. [ SILAS HALE ] mistakes ANAIS "ANNIE" WASHINGTON for someone else, and pulls them into a kiss in front of the crowd at Eden.

23. [ DARREN MURPHY ] grows impatient waiting for their BBQ food order, but doesn’t realize [ ASLI DEMIR ] hijacked the food truck. 

24. [CHARACTER B2] drunkenly loses a fight with a street performer. [ CALLUM JAMES ], who witnessed the scrap, helps [CHARACTER B2] to the nearest first aid kit.

25.[ JOSIE LEON] drunkenly confesses their love for One Direction, however [ EZRA WASHINGTON ] misinterprets it as a confession of love for them.  

26. [ FOREST DUNCAN ] decides the End-of-Summer Festival is missing some pyrotechnics. They shoot off fireworks in the center of a small crowd and start a fire. [ CAIOLAINN 'CALLIE' WALSH ] is the only one who stays to help them stamp it out.

27. [ ROSALIE "ROSIE" HALLIDAY ] is sitting at a booth being drawn, and [ JESSE VALENCIA ] pays the artist to mess up the self portrait. However, the artist ends up drawing them BOTH together in a romantic position. 

28. [ GWENDOLYN "GWEN" ARNOLDS ] is probably the only poor sober soul, and they use this to charge [ JACKSON MARSTON ] to be their DD. However, they both witness when [ GWENDOLYN "GWEN" ARNOLDS’s] car is towed away for parking in the wrong spot.  

29. A discounted tattoo shop sits along the art walk and is charging only $20 for a small tattoo. [ ANDREA 'ANDY'PEREZ ] says they’ll pay for it—and dinner—if [ DARCY FAUST ] lets them choose the tattoo. [ DARCY FAUST ] agrees but is horrified to find [ UP TO PLAYER DISCRETION ] permanently engraved on their skin.

30. [ OLIVIA MADDEN ] notices an odd tattoo that glows on someone’s forearm. Several straight lines? Before they can inquire about it, [ CHARACTER O2 ] tackle them mistaking them for being a thief. 

31. [ DANICA SINCLAIR ] wins a dancing contest against [ UDORN “YURI” SASIPARN ], but twists their ankle in the process. [ UDORN “YURI” SASIPARN ] agrees to help them along only if they declare them the winner.  

32. [ ANTON VOLKOV ] lost a bet with [ KONSTATIN VASILE ] and now wanders the street with a bright pink wig, fishnet stockings, & a clown mask. 

33. [ VICTOR 'VIC' VOLKOV ] strikes a conversation with [ IGOR VASILE ] over a piece of artwork.  [ VICTOR 'VIC' VOLKOV ] buys the artwork only to find out it was counterfeit from the Art Museum. [ IGOR VASILE ] ends up purchasing the real one. They start to argue which one is the real one. 

34. [ CHARLOTTE "CHARLIE" ARDEN] is running a booth at the flea market and notices [ CHARACTER W2 ] pocket something from an adjacent vendor. [ CHARLOTTE "CHARLIE" ARDEN ] promises not to squeal if [ CHARACTER W2 ] works with them at the booth for an hour.

35.  [ JESSIKA DELMONICO] & [ KELLEN WASHINGTON ] break out into a paint fight at an abandoned art booth. [ JESSIKA DELMONICO ] is splashed with a neon green paint in the face.  [ KELLEN WASHINGTON ] tries to run away, but not before [ CHARACTER X2 ] splashes their back with a brown paint. Did they shit themselves??

36. [ CHARACTER Z2 ] ducks out of the way from a flying object that crashes the window of a closed shop. The alarms start to blare, and before [ CHARACTER Z2 ] can leave the scene they see [ CHARACTER A3 ] about to launch something else. 

37. [ TALIA ARSLAN ] eats a bad hot dog from a food truck, and [ DANICA SINCLAIR ] helps them to the nearest bar for a bathroom and a cool drink. [ TALIA ARSLAN ] talks [ DANICA SINCLAIR ] into doing shots when they’re feeling better.

38. [ LEV VASILE ] takes a few healthy tokes of the joint they’ve been saving for an occasion, and [ GENEVIEVE BISSET ] asks if they’re willing to share. They both light up and head on a self-guided tour to the food trucks.

39. [ CHARACTER F3 ] and [ CHARACTER G3 ] get into an argument with [ MATHIAS ATTANO ] after they lose at a drinking game for the third time in a row. [ MATHIAS ATTANO ] has been cheating the whole time and now has to lose [ CHARACTER F3 ] and [ CHARACTER G3 ] in the crowd.

☀️ : What makes your OC genuinely happy? A person, an item, their hobby? Where is the place they're happiest, or most at home? What is the happiest they've ever been?

Rose: Hanging out with her best friends, Liv and Ezra; successfully repairing a death scythe or tinkering with damaged cars with Grelle; spending time with her family (when they're not driving her crazy) or going on dates with her husband, Michael. She's happiest on the move, riding her motorcycle with her hellhound Eustacia at her side. One of Rose's happiest moments was when her coworkers at the Death Scythe Maintenance and Repair Division officially recognized her for being their most valued employee. It was an indication that she'd earned their trust and respect in spite of being a demon/reaper hybrid.

Xander/Rhea: Painting backdrops or helping people with their makeup; adding new stones to his pet rock collection; cuddling; playing with the family cats; enjoying a relaxing day in with the family. For Xander, home is where the heart is! One of the happiest days of Xander's life was when @deadly-safety-scissors OC Astre Phantomhive asked for his hand in marriage. :3

Viola: Playing the flute or cello; running a successful experiment; holding hands (and doing various and sundry other things) with her girlfriend Nina. She's happiest in the lab or in the privacy of her room (to which Rose sarcastically refers as her "inner sanctum"). Her happiest moment was when Sebastian taught her how to jump between different universes and introduced her to his favorite ones. It opened her mind up to a whole new world of possibilities and left a lasting impression on her. ☕: Give us one (or more, if you feel like it) of your OCs deepest darkest secrets. Rose is very straightforward and honest to a fault. She's a no-nonsense girl, and what you see is generally what you get. The closest she has to a dark secret is the fear that she might be unable to protect the people she cares for, which is rooted in the attack on her and Xander's lives (when a pair of bigoted reapers broke into the house and nearly murdered them and Ronnie while Grelle and Sebas were at work).

When they first learned that Grelle was Jack the Ripper, Xander tried to act like it didn't matter to him in order to spare her feelings. In truth, though, he had a hard time coming to terms with what she'd done (Xander has a soft spot for mortals), though he eventually managed to reconcile with Grelle.

Viola loves soul-eating. Absorbing the person's knowledge and emotions is a fascinating, exhilarating process for her. However, she feels ashamed of this and tries to hide it because it's such a strong demonic trait.

(Rose first met Michael Kennsington, a reaper and former MI6 agent, when he came to her department for minor repairs to his scythe. Michael investigated conspiracy theories as a hobby and became firmly convinced that Sebastian Michaelis was a supernatural being, which accounts for his excitement here.)

Rose had never met this man before, but she knew right away that he wasn't your average reaper. The way he carried himself reminded her of Dad: Self-assured, yet ready to spring into action at a moment's notice. His quiet confidence was more subdued than Dad's smug arrogance (thank the gods), but there was that same subtle sense of power, like a tiger keeping its claws carefully sheathed...for now. His appraising gaze cut far beneath the surface. In the seconds that he looked at her, Rose could sense the flurry of calculations in his mind as he sized her up. Huh. This guy might be an interesting one.

"Red eyes..." Rose braced herself for the usual confusion and disgust with which new reapers typically reacted to her, their divine instincts alerting them to her demonic nature. Instead, the man broke out in a boyish grin, looking as delighted as a little kid who'd just caught sight of his Christmas presents under the tree."You must be one of the Sutcliff-Michaelises!" he gushed, grabbing her hand and pumping it enthusiastically. "It's Rose, isn't it? Oldest daughter of the Phantomhive butler?""Uh...yes..." Rose laughed, cocking an eyebrow. Definitely not the reaction she'd been expecting. Dad had become something of a legend in the years since his "disappearance" and the young earl's death, but this man said "Phantomhive butler" the way teenagers fangirled over their favorite actors. Oh gods, the last thing Dad needed was a groupie--his ego was already inflated enough."So it's true, it's really true! All my friends at the agency used to laugh at me, say I was batshit crazy, but I knew that Sebastian Michaelis couldn't be human!"He paused, blushing as he glanced down and realized that he'd been holding Rose's hand for much longer than necessary. Letting go, he looked sheepishly at Rose, who was thoroughly amused by this point. "Damn, you must think I'm a ruddy great idiot. And I haven't even introduced myself. It's Michael, Michael Kennsington."

(Due his traumatic childhood experience of almost being killed by reapers, Xander experiences intense anxiety whenever unfamiliar reapers come to call at the Sutcliff-Michaelis residence. For clarification, Astre Phantomhive is my girlfriend’s OC, not our earl)

No matter how hard he tried to fight it, fear clawed its way up Xander's throat when he realized that a strange reaper had come to visit. The rational part of his mind knew that they weren't in danger, that there would be no flash of death scythes and hateful cries ('Die, demon filth! Die, you scum, DIE!'). Still, he shook with trepidation, breaking out in a cold sweat with his back pressed against the wall as he listened to Mum chatting away with this unfamiliar death god in the kitchen. But then there was Rose, kindly yet firmly grabbing him by the hand. "It's all right, Xander, I'm here, and so is Mum. Besides, he's a Phantomhive! You know how we loved Dad's stories about the Earl when we were kids."Astre V.C. Phantomhive. The moment he saw him, Xander's fear dissipated like smoke scattered in the wind. Tall, slender, and fine-boned, with a true nobleman's grace, messy cobalt hair, and eyes that shimmered with wit and good humor. There was a quiet melancholy hiding behind those eyes, however, and that struck a sympathetic chord within the softhearted child of heaven and hell. It would be a few months before the desire took hold with a silent passion that ate at Xander's marrow, and longer still before Astre would begin the intricate rituals of their courtship, but this first meeting was when providence tossed out her red string to tie their destinies together.(Nina Montmarcy is one of my reaper OCs. She’s autistic, hence the stimming and reluctance to look Viola in the eye)

Uncle Othello grinned. "This is Nina Montmarcy. Fresh out of the reaper academy, sharp as a tack, and knows the science. I thought I'd let ya show her the ropes--she might as well learn from the best researcher our department's ever had."Viola groaned. "I'm not as great as all that." Her nerdy "uncle" could be worse about bragging on her abilities than Mum and Dad, and that was saying something. "But welcome to Forensics!" She gave the other woman a warm smile, heart beating a little faster than it ought to. Nina's left hand drifted up to her hair, and she twirled a piece around her fingers over and again in a gesture that seemed almost instinctual. "Th-thank you," she replied in a shaky whisper, not making eye contact. Awkward and shy, but endearing...Oh shit, Viola thought as a warm glow spread in the pit of her stomach. Why was she so illogical when it came to pretty girls?

My Thoughts On Neo Yokio — I Might Just Surprise You!

Since I have a little time before I power through a 4-5 hour drive to Maryland. I wanted to try reviewing something that has taken over my eyes and mind for the past few days (and no, it is not Madoka). A tangent before we start, I tend to be one of those “Main-Subculture Hating Hipsters”, that will wait until every high up, every gossip, every hipster and every anime fan has shut up about something they deem as good before I check it out. Hence why I hit Madoka much later — when no one was talking about it. I wanna go in as blind or unbiased as I can. Call it being an “Asocial Hipster”, but when the internet finally shuts up about something, I’ll experience it and then come back to see what happened on the net and explore my own experiences solitarily. But the thing I’m reviewing today is quite different from that usual attitude of mine. Today, we are reviewing Neo Yokio!

Netflix’s, Ezra of Vampire Weekend’s and Jaden Smith’s anime... And... *sweats* Why I think it is a good show. In fact, I liked it a lot! Let me add a point of bias: in most shows, I don’t watch it sober on my first viewing. When I tried Neo Yokio sober, I was disgusted by the art style — but when inebriated, I could take in little moments and the bigger picture. Before watching it again whilst sober, taking in more detail and falling in love with it. It may have a role in why Madoka Rebellion was PERFECT THE WAY IT WAS AND DON’T CHANGE IT, HOMURA WAS IN FUCKING CHARACTER, FIGHT ME!! ... Ahem... Anyway, Go ahead boo now. I’ll wait... ... Now, LET’S BREAK IT DOWN!! Firstly, Neo Yokio tells the story of Neo Riche “Magistocrat” Kaz Khan, played by Jaden Smith. And honestly, the series is just a short slice of life. Simple and very clear that it’s just not anything special. But that’s the brilliance — in my opinion — of the series. With a kind of similar attitude as The Boondocks but less focused on Black Culture (Excluding Kaz and his posse Lexy and GollieB), and more on parodying both anime of the 90’s and early 00’s and the 1%. I want to focus on this 1% idea, and why it was very interesting and successful angle to attack with comedic parody.

We are in 2017. The political climate worldwide is ABSOLUTELY unbearable — hence why I live my life as a 23 year old loser artist as apolitically as I can. Even if it’s practically impossible... — And this is why Neo Yokio genuinely made me chortle the entire way through. So, let’s start with the main character: Kaz. Kaz is dubbed by the masses as “Neo Riche”, the highest class of Neo Yokio, and while he does his damnedest to deny it, he proves quickly that he IS Neo Riche in the first 3 minutes of the series — and it works. This aspect added a lot on my second sober viewing — where the jokes and satire made a bit more sense after I had my time with the laughs and visual insanity that Neo Yokio is. That’s when I found something charming and actually worth my time. Kaz — is the perfect MC for this ridiculous world. I like fashion. My boyfriend really likes fashion. And the idea of being the 1% is insanely charming and a way we love to playfully act together. And Neo Yokio plays into that — Kaz being just as flamboyant and unconnected in one way as his rival Arcangelo is flamboyant and unconnected in another, both stereotypical yet enjoyable plays of the 1% that many people despise so much in the political spectrum. Kaz doesn’t care about politics, and this is a perspective I rarely see about the 1% until Kaz and his friends start observing it, serving to — while confused in tone ending — comment on what often goes unseen by the 1% that is not focused in politics but in their day to day life. And it’s petty, stupid and hilariously over-the-top, as many people see the idealized lives of the 1%. Let’s talk about Kaz. I feel like Jaden Smith’s monotone mannerism and voice fit ABSOLUTELY perfectly for the kind of character Kaz is. He’s overly dramatic in a drab, pretentious way. He’s from an almost alien lifestyle and he is presented as such. Jaden fits personally with this and adds charm to it. Look at one of the BEST bits from Episode 1, where Kaz — depressed over being dumped AND failing an exorcism goes to a graveyard with his OWN grave just to lay there and wallow in his despair. This moment shows how we should see throughout the show Kaz — as weird, inconsequently rich, ignorant and yet funny and lovable. This makes him a great character to experience the world inside of Neo Yokio’s other classes. He is ignorant and therefore he is called out for it in many funny ways that can add some depth to him. Charles works in that manner, being a robot butler, who snidely chastises his master’s lack of consequence. But has a similar charm and enjoyment at Kaz, almost playing the role of audience proxy. And the more characters that come, play off of Kaz very well comedically. And from Kaz as well the references to Toblerones, high fashion like Louis Vuitton and Chanel, and the absolute joke they make out of Kaz’ bachelor status make him very personable. Next, I want to talk about the animation. When I first saw it, my gut reaction was “TRASH, BURN IT!!”

But after really seeing what the show tries, I started to understand it was —consciously and unconsciously — parodying: Shitty anime from the 2000’s, lazy techniques in anime as a whole and it made for a charming exterior. Seriously guys, Sailor Pellegrino’s name written in Sailor Moon���s title font, that’s hilarous! And whether or not, Ezra or the community says “it’s a serious story”, I’m basing this review after my experience and things I saw. In that, I want to talk about some of the social commentary. It all doesn’t work. They have an interesting episode showing Kaz’ ignorance in his inherent misogyny — but also, I feel like it doesn’t know whether it wants to comment on it or make fun of it. I saw it as really a mix of both. Some successful, some not successful, nobody’s perfect and yet I enjoyed it. There are some bits that I liked — being gay and all, Arcangelo’s VERY FLAMBOYANT portrayal was absolutely hilarious, I loved it! I love when they play up flamboyancy comedically, it often makes me fall love with a character. I loved Lexy chasing after the hottest lesbian in the town, knowing he wouldn’t make much out of it — even if he got Ranma’d to being Kaz’ date. I liked him calling out Kaz’ bull misogyny as both a good moment for Kaz and an interesting commentary, and using Ranma 1/2 as inspiration. I think that’s why I like gender benders as a whole. They tend to be wacky, campy and bring up new perspectives. But that’s just me, whether you take offense or not, is up to you. I can’t dictate that and I don’t judge people for their reactions to things. I just personally find most campy portrayals too ridiculous to be taken seriously, even if it is meant to be derogatory. Sure, they’re not great for LGBT or Women’s civil rights, but for the sake of a show that makes me laugh, I don’t take it seriously. If I wanted a serious commentary about more real life issues, I’ll go outside of anime and comedy films. As for other comments and the one’s it tends to get right: The ignorance of the Neo Riche. Kaz doesn’t even think of himself as Neo Riche, yet he is. And the character, Helena plays with that — while also making an army of fangirls, who follow everything she does in a completely hysterical manner. They are a nice poke at the masses that follow someone famous to the ends of the earth. Charles also plays with that around the penultimate episode — not spoiling. ;3 On to sound, while I didn’t pay much attention, classical style music is everywhere. No tracks stood out to me because classical is not my forte, but I think it fit with the Neo Riche-style. The acting is hokey, plays the gamut from Jaden Smith monotone to Lexy’s VERY black mannerisms — it made me feel remarkably at home. My family is absolutely like that in voice styles and ranges. It made me laugh even more. I personally liked the acting, seeing it as intentionally “bad” for the sake of comedy. The story itself plays between slice of life and a serialized story, which kinda mucks up the sudden tone shift in the end. Unlike Cowboy Bebop, we don’t have as much time with the cast as a whole to feel much for them in the end. But I’d hope for a Season 2 to really explore more of the side characters. I want to know more about Lexy and GollieB’s hole-in-the-wall bar, I want to see more of Helena’s followers — especially after the ridiculous things they do to be just like Helena, and the ending kinda shook me in a way I didn’t expect that was very cute going forward. I could go on, but I think it is time for me to sum up my thoughts on Neo Yokio: “It’s very good at what it does, but it’s not for everyone. It’s audience is like the Neo Riche, small and niche.” That is the best way to put my thoughts on it.

Some people will get it and enjoy it. Most others, will write it off as trite. And I understand that point while also saying: “Try watching it inebriated. Take in the campy ridiculousness of it all.” No matter what the creators and critics say, everyone’s personal experience will be different based on where they come from. I read it as a parodic farce and enjoyed it very much as such. As a serious story or social commentary — it fell a lot more than it rose. And that’s OK. The best parts of the show are when Kaz is with Helena, the Helenists, and his boys, Lexy and GollieB. Laughing when he’s dealing with his aunt (voiced by Susan Sarandon, so yes!) or wallowing in the “misery” of being privileged bachelor. I recommend it for those who want something that you can make fun of — as I found it making fun of itself. To people who love the fabulous rich lifestyle of fashion, fame and camp! And I recommend trying it alone or with friends, but most importantly — drunk and/or baked as hell! Always bloom proudly guys, —Tuchi OUT!
