unexpected experience from todays qna video was Amanda describing (from my perspective) an egg tart (chinese dessert i am familiar with) in the most fascinating way + no one else in the room going 'you mean an egg tart?' but instead going 'oh like a flan?' while im sitting here like. egg tart? egg tart? ah the diversity of human experience.

(i mean there are slight differences but i googled just to verify my instinct and YEP. the chinese one is derived from the portuguese one. so it IS basically the same! the comparison against a flan basically makes sense it just caught me off guard haaa)

(they're really fucking good btw amanda is so real for that)
