“Yeah you’re just gonna go on in there & ‘metaphorically’ take a chunk of their brains out so they won’t be evil anymore” yeah man, maybe that would be even SOMEWHAT believable if one of those four lunatics wasn’t canonically fucked up by a near death experience.

It isn’t spoken of, it isn’t directly shown, but GOD DAMN is it absolutely implied.

You see the ONE noticeable feature on this funny lil guy?

The ONE piece of evidence we have as to what happened right before he became a cyborg is THIS thing from his journal from when he still resided on Earth.

He CANONICALLY was physically fucked up after his escape, WHICH IS MAINLY HALF OF HIS FRICKEN FACE no less!

To what extent? We can’t tell, not with how simple the game’s art style is. Could be just half of his face, could be MOST of his entire body (the latter of which I believe in solely because I am terrible to any fictional character I wish to write for). & even so, I highly doubt the people behind this game are gonna come out & say anything about it due to their target audience & all that.

But I at least know one thing: this guy has fucking TRAUMA.

I mean, my guy’s been alone in space for god knows how long, having to replace bits of himself to keep himself ALIVE while going mad in the process.

Like I know being turned into a cyborg doesn’t sound too bad at FIRST, but you gotta realize that this guy probably had to do this TO HIMSELF. There’s no “I’ll just sleep for a lil while & then wake up with cool robotic attachments” NO!! He had to stay CONSCIOUS during this entire process! I don’t even wanna THINK about how much that would hurt & HOW LONG such a process would take…

Well, I do think about it anyway, but that’s besides the point.

Imagine the hatred that would’ve bubbled up during that time, towards the royalty that wanted him subdued & behind bars, towards the kingdom he helped drastically advance that tossed him to the side like dirt the first chance they could…

Whether any of it was actually reasonable or not, this guy is the most UNHINGED & mentally fucked up out of all the other super villains Dr. Jupiter captured.

There’s a REASON I rambled/ranted on Twitter as to why he’s like the game’s REAL main antagonist, cause out of all four of these baddies (& maybe even including all the other villains from the game up to this point), this seemingly quirky looking jester is probably the absolute LEAST capable of redemption, even if it was immorally forced upon him. You can’t fricken undo WHO KNOWS HOW MANY years of agony & gradual mental instability!

Hell, I could also go on about how “removing the evil” instead of, I dunno, getting them therapy or some shit is probably morally questionable if not downright inhumane in its own right.

… which would’ve been something more on-topic than the rant I just went on. My apologies. XDDD

This is the second time I did a passionate rant on Tumblr about my favorite character from a franchise & talking about how tragic & fucked up they are.

I can’t tell what exactly that says about me, but oh well.
