that nikki ask already got me in heat with the deranged nikki stans so i’ll beg of all of you to never send me any asks about nikki again, because i will hurt their feelings and remind them they’re stanning a rapist :) idgaf about nikki. i have feelings towards him about the whole mick thing, and with other things he’s done in the past but i genuinely don’t really hate him. unfortunately, you call the mf out and all of a sudden, you’ve got like a bunch of parasocial little girls who want to marry him coming for you if you even mention his name. so now…if you think i don’t like him, fine. if you think i do like him, fine. idgaf anymore. you literally can’t share a damn opinion anymore cause now everyone’s on your ass about “you’re not a true fan if you don’t like nikki.” oh…im sorry, i didn’t know you had to like every single damn member to be a fan. mind you, a lot of you bitches (not on this app at least) think mick is ugly, think vince can’t sing, talk about how tommy looks like he’s on drugs, and don’t even mention the other four members who have been in the band at certain points. you don’t have to like every single member to be a damn fan, and tbh i have problems with a lot of the members in this band. doesn’t mean i hate them all, just means that im at least willing to hold them accountable, something A LOT of you bitches refuse to do. so don’t cry wolf when i give you the hard facts about your favs, if you can’t handle it get right off my page.

i'm getting back into writing on this acc + i've had this blog for a few months but never made a meet the admin post so here it is!

how'd i get here: i needed something to watch bc i just finished the live action ATLA series and got bored. i saw DTS sitting there in my suggested cuz season 6 had just come out so i tuned in. then i tuned into the actual races and realized just how great they are, 2024 season was actually a great time to come in cuz wow the drama!

when did i start writing: i had a few kpop fic accs where i wrote wlw content for about 5 years but i lost interest from lack of engagement and a lot of my friends left. so i turned to ao3 and posted a few things there for ATLA and my old sideblog where i wrote for marvel characters. but once i got into f1 i just made this blog and started writing for a few drivers because i didn't see too many black fem reader fics so i write to help add more.

when do i post: whenever i can really. i don't like to pressure myself too much because then i get overwhelmed and it's not fun to write. so when i get the ideas or energy to write i do, but there's no set schedule as of right now

favorite drivers: lewis, lando, and charles are what i call my podium or top 3. however oscar has wiggled his way up in the mix and mick has my entire heart plus ollie and kimi are my sons...i also love our honey badger. i could go on really.

favorite team: honestly i'm just going to say mclaren but i'm not too picky about teams i just don't like redbull at all (not the drivers the TEAM)

any other motorsports: i did watch Born Racers and thought it was neat so i may tune into MotoGP at some point. i didn't watch F2 or F3 much last season but i'll be tuning in this year cuz i want my money's worth ($10.99 a month ain't cheap). i watched F1 Academy though and kept up with it closely.

are messages open: i love a good internet friend. as long as you're not a minor or a big effing weirdo then feel free to message me to be friends, i need more f1 friends but if we share any other interests that's fine as well!

any last thoughts: one thing i will note is that i don't keep up with the drivers personal lives like it's my own life. i don't stalk their IGs, locations, etc. i don't know when max's private jet took off and when it landed, i don't know all of the drivers friends and family names and who knows who and who's what to who. i don't keep up with the tea between WAGs. and most importantly i don't bash drivers for nonsensical reasons like their team building a better car or not liking the way someone said three words to someone else. it's really just not that serious to me so just a heads up that if you're that kinda fan i won't match your energy in conversation 😅

Hi, friends. I took three plane rides in the last week, and while I was up in the air, I had some unhinged thoughts. I decided to write down all of these thoughts and share them. Because what is this blog without its unhinged moments? Some of these are new headcanons I now have. Some are just the most random shit I've ever thought of. Please enjoy. Without further ado, I present:

Thoughts from planes with Zee (an unhinged and incomplete list)

-I hate the fic theme that Wille just cries at any inconvenience. Gives me the ick. Like yeah, some of the time he’d probably cry. But like, baby, he just dropped a pen. He’s fine. 

-(This one really came from Mona @youngroyalsrewatch) The idea that Micke isn’t homophobic because he was quick to change his sentence when Simon reminded him he was gay is problematic. Because Micke forgetting his son is gay is in and of itself homophobic. 

-The Society’s theme song can be pretty much any song by Panic! At the Disco and it would be right. “let’s kill tonight” “crazy=genius” “victorious” “roaring 20s” the list goes on.

-Golf on TV by Lennon Stella gives MAJOR happy Wilmon vibes 

-Madison is 100% a Hozier stan and I support that. 

-Simon and Wille probably both think they’re unlovable. 

-ENTIRELY OFF TOPIC but I just saw a cloud that looked like Master Oogway from Kung Fu Panda

-Rosh, Ayub, and Simon walk around the streets of Bjärstad in the middle of the night. They sneak out to do it. I don’t make the rules, I just enforce them, and this is a thing now. 

-Unrelated, but Omar songs+watching the sunrise from a plane = a whole vibe 

-Fredrika doesn’t do casual crushes. She just doesn’t. They consume her. Devastation occurs after she stops liking them. 

-Wille likes sunrise. Simon likes sunset. 

-Wilmon is definitely the couple who call each other 5 times a day when one is traveling. 

-Henry has only ever gotten into one fight, but he won 

-Sometime in the future, Wille gets into a car accident and Simon has his first panic attack ever because this isn’t the first time a crown prince has been in a car wreck. 

-I feel like Wille and Felice jokingly call each other “Romeo” and “Juliet” as a nod to how bad of a couple they’d be. Because Romeo and Juliet died, you know? 

-Screwed related: Ebba is the biggest Taylor Swift fan and has an unhealthy relationship with the song tolerate it. I’ve decided. It's a thing now. 

-Walter likes Chase Atlantic. 

-I just sent the most unhinged pirate au plot to Dani (@the-navistar-carol). I hope she’s entertained. 

-Omg season two is coming out soon, and I am absolutely not prepared for that.

So I'm a bit frustrated with people's drivers ratings right now. I know it's personal and people can have different opinions, but I honestly look at most of them and can't help but go "Kevin will never be good enough for you, will he?!" I mean, I can admit that he has made mistakes and he definitely haven't been perfect, but the way people talk about him is just making me frustrated and angry.

I don't understand, Kevin has basically beaten all of his teammates (except Jenson) but every time the season ends, the narrative is: "his teammate wasn't very good anyway". Or like this year, where people say he should have beaten Mick with more, because he is "basically a rookie", which I find to be completely nonsense, but anyway.

Now I dread Nico coming in and Kevin beating him, so people will just say that it's because Nico is too old and past it. It seems like he can never win. Maybe he should let Nico get a few wins against him to prove that he still got it 😭🤷‍♀️

but no, i totally get your frustration. it's the same frustration that i've dealt with at the end of almost all formula 1 seasons since 2014. for example, watching tommos video on qualifiers and him rating zhou, albon and sainz as faster qualifiers than k-mag. like are you actually kidding me? the man just got a fucking pole in a haas, beating 8 out of the 10 drivers in q3, all in much faster cars and he beat his teammate like 4 to 1 in qualifying - and he is being put in the bottom lower half of the grid in terms of qualifying 🤡

unfortunately, this has kind of always been the case with kevin. when he does something extraordinary, people praise him that day and then they forget entirely. even when his stats show that he is beating his teammate in so many different ways, people completely disregard it, yes, and it's so annoying. for example, with jenson then they basically went 50/50 on qualifying, but kevin was on average 0.2 faster than jenson in qualifying for the whole season. and he was a 21-year-old rookie against a former world champion who had been in f1 for 14 years. kevin had not even driven a f2 car before being put into a f1 car. and he did that - and people still treat his 2014 season as some kind of huge disappointment. they also completely disregard that mclaren wanted to continue with kevin, but because of infighting then jenson was retained instead.

it is the same we see with mick now where people are like "oh, mick has been faster than him". like look at the graph below. when mick has beaten him, most of the time, they have not even been near top 10. and it doesn't even include sprints where kevin has scored points every single time, which means he has been in top 8 three times more from what you can see below.

it's the single stat where mick has done better than him (and yet some people only focus on this irrelevant fact), but it also completely disregards the races where kevin has been forced to take another pitstop, spending close to 40 seconds in pit to get his front wing fixed, or when he has had car issues or when haas has fucked up his strategy like putting the wrong tyres on his car (oh no, not even making the wrong call, but actually putting the wrong tyres on him). also by the way, no one is talking about how the fia has basically admitted to them being wrong about the use of the meatball flag and them having admitted that to haas. imagine if the fia had ruined charles' race three times in a season. it would be the greatest scandal of the season, but no motorsports media sites give a shit because it's just k-mag and haas🙄

people did not even care when he could keep up with, and even beat in some cases, a former world champion with 14 years of experience as very young rookie, so i suppose they will never care about who he beats. but of course, if nico beats him then i'm sure they will all care and make fun of him despite the fact that nico is a good and respected driver. but yeah, it's the curse of being a kevin fan. i think most people agree that he is deserving of a f1 seat, but they sort of just shrug their shoulders and then throw their love at the usual drivers.

i do not know what more kevin should do to be considered for teams higher up the grid. i know that ferrari had their eyes on him in 2018 when they had doubts about charles, and that red bull offered him a toro rosso seat, but i just wish people would respect him more. and he is still improving. whenever he has a season where he has a flaw, he usually corrects it by the next season. once, he was not considered a super good qualifier, then he fixed that. he was criticised for killing his tyres too quickly when at renault, he fixed that for next year in haas and became known for it. he was criticised for crashing too much and doing too much damage to the car, this season he is the third "cheapest" driver on the grid when it comes to the cost of car damage.

and i'm confident that if kevin had been french, alpine would have given him the seat instead of pierre 🤷🏻‍♀️ i think being danish is one of the things that kinda counts against him since we have no ties with motorsport and formula 1. and that shit matters as proven by the fact that everyone is already saying mick to audi just because he is german. but yeah, my best advice is just to roll your eyes at it and ignore the "experts" who spend 80% of the time only watching the top teams without doing proper research on everybody else.

1. why did you choose your url

well bc before i was an f1 blog, i was a taylor swift blog and my username was taylordidthat and then i turned into a shawn mendes blog (i cringe) and it was shawndidthat, and now we are here with mickdidthat

yess follow my f1 thirst blog @pitlanebaby we have so much fun over there

3. how long have you been on tumblr?

since i was in grade 7 so a very long fucking time considering i am 21 now

no and i honestly don't understand the need for them asdfghjk

5. why did you start your blog in the first place?

bc my older sister had a tumblr and was semi-tumblr famous and i thought it looked cool

well its a pic of lewis biting his lip so whats not to love

its two of my faves: mick and daniel!!! they are besties so any scrap of content on them i just love

that stupid gentle kiss on the forehead for fic writers one it has almost 10k and it stresses me out

a few i think!! i wish i was better at making connections on here bc i feel like i think i have mutuals but in reality they probably have no idea who they are

only 30 away from 3k!!!!

well over 1,000 but thats bc i have had my page for so long and literally 90% are inactive

oh you mean my entire page??

very often, i pretty much always have a tab open except for when im at work

not that i can recall, except for the occasional m*x stans that come into my inbox uninvited

yess!!! i am bad at keeping up with them tho

yes!!!! i rarely find people to participate in them but when they do, i get so happy!!

@stuckonspidey is literally a pulitzer prize winning author in my mind and we always talk about mick!! love her!!!

not really but that doesn't mean that my mutuals aren't all ridiculously sexy
