#song of the day#I love this dumbass song so much#spent a good chunk of the day warbling it to myself while gardening#'I know you think I'm lonely / but you got it wrong clementine#hey I don't miss you too much / but still I think about you all of the time'#there's so many syllables in that 'clementine'. at least four in the i alone#this is I would say the less dignified corollary to George Strait's 'Round About Way' which I also love to warble to myself#very much of a 'I am definitely 100% absolutely yep sure over you' type#but where Round About Way is more wry this one has lines like 'she drives a convertible. she likes to laugh a lot. totally flirt-able'#very very very fun to sing to the impatiens
