#this is ALSO the ultimate wingman version of tron

Ok so SO the Grid, yeah? Is a system / digital world filled of video games, yeah? So hear me out here:

When Flint & Rinz have broken away from Clu and are on the run & still figuring things out, like WHATS GOING ON? or WHY IS CLU TRYING TO KILL US?? or WAIT, IS CLU ACTUALLY KEVIN FLYNN??? THEN WHO'S THAT KEVIN IN THE REAL WORLD?!???!!???

Well, at this point, Flint & Rinz have bonded a lot but are still on unsteady grounds. They know they're partners since Rinzker abandoned his commands to defend the user & are both now fighting the same enemy... but considering Rinzler cannot speak much or well at all when he can get a few words out, Rinz offers Flint his identity discs to see what this holy user can gleam from his files & programming...

Anyways, after abusing his admin privileges to dig under firewalls that Clu or Kevin or WHOMEVER put up, Flint eventually gets to Tron's insignia, hidden wayyyy wayyyyyyyyy down in Rinzler's data. Since Rinz can't seem to recall WHY one of his two discs originally belonged to Tron, Flint makes the assumption that Rinzler was the one who derezzed his beloved Tron, so naturally Rinzler wound up with Tron's disc as a trophy of war or... something...

Anyways ANYWAYS, after allowing Rinzler to re-dock his discs, Rinz's circuitry lines all go blue &, in Tron's unmistakable voice, he gasps and grapples onto Flint asking over and over again if it is really his user.

Flint & Tron-Rinzler embrace and Flint is about to cry & ask him a million questions, but Tron-Rinzler puts a steady finger to Flint's lips and warns him that he doesn't have long in this form & needs to maintain what little strength he has left.

Tron doesn't recall much from what happened before he was derezzed... he knows they cannot trust Clu or Flynn, but cannot make out any specifics. But, Tron promises to come through when times get tough and help out any way he can. When Flint begs Tron to try to stay, Tron insists that Flint needs to trust in Rinzler and show him the same loving care he showed to Tron & that, if they work together, Tron knows they two will be just fine.

After Flint presses a kiss to the cheek of Tron-Rinzler's helmet & they embrace again, Tron's blue light lines fade away, allowing Rinzler's warm orange to return. Flint is caught unaware, since he had closed his eyes tight & wanted to imagine himself still holding onto Tron, but... when he comes to, he find a still & purring Rinzler still clinging onto him.

With hasty apologies [having no idea Rinzler already has fallen for his foolish user self], Flint wipes off the kiss smudge on Rinzler's helmet & breaks their hold on one another.

So SO, at this point, over the next cycles in the Grid, Rinzler is fighting to find ways to tell Flint that he wants to be held the way Flint held Tron-him and MEANWHIKE, Tron keeps popping up at random intervals like that wise & helpful sidekick like character in a game who always seems to know how to move the plot ahead lmaoooo
