Boom, bitch. Here's a hedge.
Specifically, Hyper! They're a deroboticized Metal Sonic, specifically Hyper Metal Sonic from the OVA! I don't see why people don't draw them more they were such a little skrunkly!!!!
It's somewhat canon that Classic Sonic (at least AOSTH) was around 8-12 when Metal Sonic was made so by proxy, Hyper is younger than him, and thus Sonic and Tails get a little sister!
Also, Hyper doesn't have legs/uses prosthetics because...well...
#hyper is transfem btw#I like the idea of a metal sonic identifying as a woman#also sonic gave her and tails some of his old clothes including his “favorite outfit” as handmedowns#sonic is fairly attached to hyper considering she's technically a clone of him#the main backstory for her is that sonic and tails find the ruined hyper metal bot in the bottom of eggmanland after eggman dies#and after finding that she has 1% of battery left and had just been clinging on just to see sonic again#long story short they deroboticize her and adopt her as their little sister#sonic the hedgehog#sonic ova#aosth#sonic oc#metal sonic#hyper metal sonic#hyper the hedgehog#sonic fanart#sonic fan character#sonic art#digital art#ms paint#banbuv's art

Have you ever searched up facts about the animals sonic characters are based on? If so, what was your favorite fact that you added to your headcannon
*rubs hands together* ALRIGHT HERE WE GO (I'm sticking with the hedgehog gang for this one because I kid you not this will go on forever xD)
I'm pretty sure this is a obvious one, and most can agree one of the cutest. HEDGEHOGS. CAN. PURR. And I love it sm. They are really social creatures so they need buddies, and lots of too, to explore of course! :D They also have poor eyesight, which can make it a bit tricky sometimes to navigate, but their keen sense of smell covers that for them. They can even swim very well, unlike ONE hedgehog. lmao.
I like to think the reason Amy confused Sonic for a lot of people, lmao. Is because she had poor eyesight, I imagine when she was younger, even before she met her friends, she had a bit of trouble seeing where she was going.. so she relied on her other senses. Sonic and the gang definitely got her some contacts lol. (Sonic has bad eyesight too, he gets it.)
Silver doesn't understand why he likes forging around for things, even in his future, he just loves to collect things. When he goes to the past I think is inner adventurer just explodes when he sees nature for the first time. He adores it. He picks up ANYTHING wrappers, sticks, plastic bags, flowers, you name it, he probably has it somewhere. Lmao I like to imagine whenever Blaze comes over to his garden he just decorates it with the most random shit and she's like. TF??? (they are sibling coded to me btw <3)
Sonic is the package deal, he's been doing hedgehog things since he was a kid. Running around at the speed of sound, exploring new places, ect. But, the one thing he grew up with was loneliness for some time. My BIGGEST headcanon for him, was that he washed up on Christmas Island, he was raised by Chao basically, and played a lot with human junk that washed up on the island. Since he was in the ocean for what seemed like FOREVER to the poor baby. He's TERRIFIED to even go near it. So he makes his home in an abandoned cargo plane. (similar to OVA) He can't stand running around the small island anymore so he finds a broken down Bi-plane. (future tornado ik im a genius lmao) follows some old ass instructions that he cant rlly read cuz hes like 5. And he takes off and crashes the plane near the closest continent shjshs. HES FREEEEE. well, until he runs into a lil fox and adopts him.
As for Shadow? Well.. he hears about all these "hedgehog" things, from Sonic or maybe from other hedgehogs he runs into or overhears. But, he just doesn't understand it. It doesn't click. And its not like he really cares that much but, it bothers him. So he does the unthinkable and asks Sonic directly. Who in turn laughs and tells him that, sure, he may be half alien or like lizard for whatever... but he's still a hedgehog. An even COOLER hedgehog! He doesn't have to do those silly hedgehog things to prove that. He explains its just kinda second nature anyway.
(Also, this is more of a shippy headcanon lmao. But Sonic and Shadow definitely, unknowingly, court eachother hedgehog style. Which includes lots of chasing, circling, and headbutting. LIKE COME ON ITS SO OBVIOUS--)
#ask#lmao this was fun!#sonic#sonadow#sonic the hedgehog#shadow the hedgehog#amy rose#silver the hedgehog#fav#sonic headcanons

Btw idk if I ever mentioned this on Tumblr but I'm watching all of detective Conan. All of it. I started out with a silly little spreadsheet just to remind myself which episodes were absolutely core canon if I ever needed to go back and watch a refresher, but it's now evolved into a 4-tab monstrosity that has notes about all the movies and OVAs and TV specials and when I should watch them. And I'm also keeping track of all sorts of inane things, from yearly events like Christmases and Valentines, to times Shinichi gets shot and times Heiji has a near-death experience (since I remember that happening a lot the first time I watched this, and I skipped so many episodes then)
Anyway for my like 3 followers who care about this show, what else should I keep track of while I slowly make my way through this colossus of a franchise (current list below cut)
---
What I'm currently keeping track of, and the counts (as of episode 208, including movies):
Valentine's Days: 1
Christmases: 1
Shinichi's Birthdays: 1
Hattori's Near-Death Experiences: 1 (falling off a boat)
Times Shinichi has been shot: 2 (I'm counting the time Heiji gave him the omamori and the bullet got deflected)
Times Ran has suspected Conan is actually Shinichi: 4 (it happened a lot in the really early episodes before everyone realized this show was going to go on forever)
Conan turns back to Shinichi: 2
Haibara turns back to Shiho: 1
People who know Conan is Shinichi: 6 (or 5 if you don't count people who died immediately after learning. Sorry Akemi)
Also if I missed something in any of my counts please lmk because I started most of these a little later on (and some of them literally while I was making this post)

Hi, I'm dumb so forgive me if this question has an easy answer; is there a viewing order for Revstar? I'm trying to get into it, but I have been putting it off because I couldn't tell where to start
I assume you just mean the anime, but since there are also a bunch of stage plays and spin-offs and a gacha game, here's an overview and my personal opinion on a good viewing order:
You should definitely watch the anime first. It's only 12 episodes but it spends so much time developing each and every character and making you truly feel for them, plus it's the most experimental piece of media in the franchise and where the Utena influences are the most visible, so it's a treat to watch. I don't know if it's an unpopular opinion or what, but the stage plays didn't do nearly as much to develop the characters or their relationships with each other due to the obvious time constraints, so if that's your first run-in with the franchise you'll probably be disappointed
3 OVAs which take place during the finale and which I didn't know existed for the longest time. They're short and sweet and have some good character interaction, though you don't really have to watch them
I know there's a manga prequel with nine chapters introducing each of the nine girls + a bonus chapter that takes place after the finale. I haven't read it though
Rondo Rondo Rondo: it's a movie recapping the series from a slightly different perspective and including new scenes. You don't have to watch it but I'd still check out the new scenes on Youtube at least, especially the one after the end credits which is a direct lead-in to Gekijouban
Gekijouban Revue Starlight: the sequel movie. Absolute masterpiece, required viewing, budget was off the charts, elevates the series to new levels etc. etc.
As for the stage plays, again, I recommend watching them after the anime if you're interested. Doesn't really matter if you watch them right after the anime or after Gekijouban because the stage plays have their own plot that is only tangentially related to the anime, but they do have to be watched in a specific order:
The LIVE #1
The LIVE #2 - Transition
The LIVE Online (prequel to #3, not really required but a fun time)
The LIVE #3 - Growth
The LIVE Seiran - Blue Glitter (spin-off about characters introduced in #2 and #3, though I believe because of COVID it ended up coming out before #3 - personally I haven't watched it 'cause I don't really care, but I've heard good things)
The LIVE Edel Delight (I'll be real I know this ties in to the gacha game somehow which I don't play, so I haven't seen this either and don't really know how this fits into the timeline)
The STAGE Junior High Regalia (prequel about characters introduced in Edel Delight)
The LIVE #4 - Climax (this only came out in Japan this year so I don't think there are subtitles yet, but I'll be watching when they come out)
As for the gacha game, I don't play it but there's a lot of content which cross-references either the anime or the stage plays so I'll just direct you to this post (meant to just share the original one but Tumblr won't let me click on the original post to get the link) which also includes a guide about the viewing/playing order. Overall I think you could start playing after watching like, the anime + Gekijouban + possibly the first two stage plays?
PLEASE don't feel threatened by all of this btw. You can just watch the 12-episode anime and Gekijouban and be perfectly fine 'cause everything else is just extra. I've only watched the anime stuff and the first four stage plays I mentioned 'cause the gacha game and later stage plays add too many characters for me to keep up with

thoughts on the paralive ending (spoilers, very incoherent)
lots of mixed feelings but I'll start of with the one thing I really liked: rowdiez instrumental made it into the ending :') didn't get a 3d mv but good enough ig
something I realized (kinda embarrassing it took me 12 eps but) finally figured out why the lab coat guy sounded so familiar. I tried checking MAL and the wiki but he didn't have a page so I had to check the ending credits but he's voiced by fyodor (also funny that he literally has no name. he's just "white clothes guy")
ok so for the mixed feelings part: I'm generally pretty open to adaptations doing something different (trimax vs trigun vs stampede and I like all of them) and maybe paraani will grow on me but the CD dramas are still better. I don't like how they removed a lot of iori akyr in general the characterization outside of the groups (satsuki's crush on anne, tsubaki entirely, club candy is there in theory except nobody talks about it, iori and zen are just in some really office building, yohei and iori's past (unless shuffle ovas???? /overdosing on copium))
the whole metal corrosion thing came kinda out of left field, especially how it started affecting the audience? somehow?? Like the other phantometal users sure, but the audience?? moving on already bc too many questions to unpack (I haven't listened to s2 of the dramas, but I heard cozmez never got that match with buraikan? do we get an explanation for that btw? I know I didn't happen like this but I mean I guess the ending point won't affect s2 too much)
I was kinda right abt the BAE saves the day thing but at least it was also all of them saving kanata? but the idea if ppl rapping at you until you get over the angst of remembering your twin is dead (except he's actually not but wtv) is kinda silly. (I'll take all the akyr actually doing something crumbs I can take at this point) bonus points for shura to just start playing a beat from the speakers and then leaves
I don't think they explained how nayuta's alive? and they had the audacity to not include shiki in the ending rooftop scene? (I know they were doing unit montages but like. did shiki even get to see real nayuta. he just. never got closure???) at least we got alt hair for cozmez tho (black hair kanata and long hair nayuta)
sorry I've been thinking abt this episode for a day and I still can't articulate anything :/

biggest timeline lore post yay!
workin on the mediverse playlist and vibing with some story!
[currently playing - 'Graveyard Dancing' by Destroy, Rebuild Until God Shows]
@in-death-we-fall the Joesday stuff is clicking & Paul is here, and everyone is uhh. getting along happily? hard to tell.
-
tags from this post
lets break em down
so there are a few big chunks of story so far, fortunately one of my special interests is taxonomy and i have a fetish for project management [1].
-
basically two main eras:
- a youngish high school + summer camp setting [late teens/twenties]. most of the aesthetics here are from that part of the setting, which has a lot of ~magical stuff beyond the heart of camp.
and! an undead hospital drama, including Nurse Jim from the camp health centre.
most of the events concerning the aesthetics described in this paper [I'll lean into it, eh] take place at the summer camp through Nurse Jim's adventures leading camping trips with Mick.[5]
[5] tbh, that does kinda let me fold those two jobs into one - it seems pretty cromulent that the health centre would assign someone like Nurse Jim on long trips
-
#1. joey-Wednesday high school dirtbag era ft piggly wiggly [alternatively: joeypaul emo shit ft that annnoying-ass fucker in his little fag hats. [that's roughly where we'd be with this song]
#2. [few years later] summer camp that kicks off the core general events at the ~undead hospital
@custer-mp3 the sexy experimentation we all love! also i loved the idea of head(s) in jars thank you VERY much
@in-death-we-fall do not worry joey and weds are in the hospital too, I'm just lookin over their resumes rn haha. they have a umm spotty work history yknow? like they just ghosted, you know, yeah? Weird.
my pet project with @ims0vain that is watering my crops and healing everyone's bruises <3 fit Nurse Jim and kids and probably some sad stuff but also lots of fluff.
general Scrubs-inspired hospital drama theme, but jd's Dr. acula is like, a real guy probably
mick and Jim [Bubbles and Biscuit] leading camp trips out at 2. [the general summer camp AU].
-
And in a more magical direction,
we have the wild magic realm of black metal where Mick is compelled to do gay shit[4]:
[...]
ft a fey realm of eerie, black metal wasteland and a faggy dream pop valley ova dere ridge?
[feets]
[2] will wiesenfeld aka geotic, post-foetus, and probably others. the valley of the fairies is another beam of magic in the world, along with the Nurse Jim fluff stuff, since i wanted something to balance and contrast with the [NECRO I SAID THERED BE NECRO].
BUT YEAH. i found will's music on tumblr years ago and it's been a longtime favourite and a bedrock of my post-rock landscape.
[bonus faggy atmospheric tiny desk from Will, i saw someone comment that Baths [2] was 'pretty boy black metal' and after seeing blackgaze [markus Lantlôs in particular w his dream-pop projects] [3], well. [3]
[will wiesenfeld/Geotic, Vice 2017]
i really wanna make this world a cozy home for you all too, haha. right now I'm just cradling everything really gently in my hands.
-
[3] idk if lantlôs is gay or anything but his pic there ...
the juxtaposition of the metal (post-metal) thing with the softboy glitter umbrella is certainly something though haha
[from Metallum]
[4] probably with Jim yknow. but the possibilities are open. even for a greasy metalhead. loser [affectionate].
[1] eh. im autistic what can you say. also btw im enjoying putting my posts together like little citation projects haha. hashtag enrichment
#original post#mediverse#camp maggot#man i need some gorp after writing all that! im having a fuckin blast though damn#timeline

I been on here for at least an entire month or so, I feel I should properly introduce myself or something
I'm genderfluid and prefer to go by they/them pronouns I'm autistic as well which is most likely the reason I get so passionate about my special interests. I made this blog to post and reblog about Saint Seiya because the entire franchise is one of my biggest special interests and I don't really get to share about it much since hardly anyone I know likes it !! I post alot of gay stuff because I'm very gay myself ya know.
I'm canadian BTW !!!
I enjoy watching anime and reading manga, fanfiction, listening to music, collecting dolls, figures, plushies ect. I also like drawing and even have fanart and some of my own ocs that I designed but I don't post them here mainly because I feel nobody would care to see them given that my skills are basic lol.
My favorite anime series are: OG Saint seiya including the hades ovas,Saint seiya lost canvas, saint seiya soul of gold, B't X, Shurato, ronin warriors, fuma no kojiro, yu yu hakusho, patalliro, berserk, devilman, blackjack, inuyasha, yugioh (season 0 and duel monsters), rurouni kenshin, princess princess, gravitation, brave dagwon, gundam wing, nightwalker the midnight detective, saint beast and the rose of versailles.
My favorite Saint seiya pairings: Hyoga/Shun, Shiryu /Seiya, Milo/Camus, Degel/Kardia, Mu/Shaka,Deathmask/Aphrodite, Minos/Albafica, Dohko/Shion . I like other ships but these are the ones I especially love to see fanart and fanfiction for Hyoshun is my main Ship ! Shirseiy and Camilo are close to being second.
Favorite bands: X japan, Seikima II, Malice mizer, Lareine, versailles, hizaki grace project, phantasmagoria, Syndrome, D, shazna, Kuroyume, missalina rei, madeth gray'll, baiser, Hanoi rocks and michael monroe, the sweet, Kiss, david bowie, the cure, dead or alive, gene loves jezebel, japan and david sylvian, cinderella, wasp, iron maiden, judas priest, motley crue, and many others mostly visual kei, and 80s music lol.
things I dislike: homophobia, transphobia, ableism, sexism and just bigotry in general, people who attack others for their ships its just juvenile imo, people who get mad if I dont instantly reply, that crappy netflix remake that made Shun into a girl..just no.

Too explain a bit about the fic if its alright. Of the Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and Blade of Light and Mystery of the Emblem cast, only Marth and Elice were good guys and regulars, as well as to a much lesser, extent Jagen.
Marth had a different personality, though to be fair this was based off long running Smash headcanons.
However Elice as nothing like Marth's older, motherly andkind sister, being a spunky and immature tomboy that is much younger than Marth. An early picture revealed Callistohime designed her after a picture of Sheeda (now localized as Caeda, the name is either Persian or Gaelic) from an anime picture. She found out Elice was older, Sheeda/Caeda was Marth's love interest & didn't like it, but lightly designed Elice to look different from Sheeda.
Whilst Callistohime didn't bash Caeda/Sheeda in the fic, same for Merric Marth's best friend & Elice's love interest, they weren't included & she made negative comments about them sometimes.
Similarly Jagen went from Marth's fatherly and elderly vassal to a man not much older than Marth without a fatherly relationship.
Basically every other character with an FE name that wasn't evil was a nothing character, usually a red shirt.
And every other one of Marth's allies or friends was a villain and the only one that was important was Navarre, whom, is depicted as a pure villain.
Unlike Zelda, Fire Emblem is almost always a story about multiple characters & there's alot of important & sympathetic central characters from all sorts of kingdoms in Marth's games.
Similarly none of the Kingdoms in FE matched & outside of Altea/Aritea, were just background decor or just a place that the villains were from. Like Akaneia (Archanea in the localization) is the most important kingdom in the games, the sub-franchise is known as Akaneia & there's also a game with Akaneia in the title.
Altea is a small place even though its Marth's kingdom, you could compare it to Link coming from Kokiri forest, but Hyrule is central. Marth says at one point, Altea is nothing without the other kingdoms.
Similarly whilst the antagonist forces rule Akaneia in the second game, you could compare it to Ganon taking control of Hyrule & its military in games like "A Link to the Past". In Time Cannot Erase, only Altea was important & Akaneia only showed up in the first part as the enemy.
But people get very attached to fictional characters, which is why so many FE fans, especially of Marth's games got upset. I guess think of it like "Impa", "Malon", "Linebeck" and "Ruto" being the names of villains in a fanfiction labeled as a Zelda crossover, I suppose?
I feel besides some hearsay of the anime, I think most of the info on the fanfiction was based around Marth's trophy in Melee and to be fair there, Marth's trophies in Melee & Brawl are very badly translated. I do wonder where she got the character names or decided to use them though? And several of the characters did show up in the short lived OVA.
BTW, one of the videos critiquing the fic is still up on youtube if you want to read it? This one is focused on constructive criticism and not any attacks to be clear. Its called "Callistohime Rant"
Hey Nonnie,
I've really enjoyed the exchange we've had so far, but I have to be honest: rehashing the details of CallistoHime's fanfiction is actually a bit triggering ^^; In the literal sense--it brings me back to those times, and brings back symptoms of anxiety I haven't really experienced since then.
I do appreciate the opportunity you gave me to apologize, and to hear your apology and explanation! That was nice. And, even though it's a liiiiiiiittle close to triggering territory, I'm actually fine hearing about other FE titles and things like that--or anything else under the moon!
...Well, maybe not ANYTHING else under the moon. For full disclosure, unfortunately Zelda in general and Zelda fandom in particular does still trigger me, and it's hard for me to read fan-fiction because of my experiences with Callisto.
All this to say, whether on anonymous mode or not, I'd love to keep speaking to you! But not about Callisto's fanfiction.

Let’s summarize my thoughts on P5R. To be transparent, I played the OG version of P5 and was coming into P5R basically knowing about 3-5% of the new plot and mechanics if that. I am going to separate my thoughts by gameplay, Sumi, Akechi, Maruki, story, and other. Spoilers.
Gameplay: I have mentioned repeatedly that I fell in love with technicals, the updated baton pass, the showtimes, the disaster shadows, and most of the new boss phases. Sumi and Ann/Yusuke had my favorite showtimes.
For bosses, I didn't like the new Shiho shadow at all for Kamoshida’s fight. I thought the Okumura one was the best and Futaba’s the worst for bosses. Also, I kept forgetting I was playing this game on hard. So many great features, and I felt I wasn't challenged to use them.
I would love to see technicals return. I am not asking you Atlus. I am telling you. Bring them back. Please? Yaldaboth is still a joke. And the final boss is still Yaldaboth's concept plus a bit more when it comes to moves? Hit appendages with different attacks. Got it.
Also, I hated most of the designs for the third awakenings except Sumi's and Ann's. Also, some of them just had plain everyday names. It was weird. Sumi: So part of Sumi's story and knowing we might fight Maruki at some point, were the only thing I kind of knew going in.
Sumi is, fine? I don't hate her, but she isn't my favorite of the phantom thieves. I think her background story is interesting. I love her design. I really do not have much to say about her tbh. Maybe if I was blind to his part, I would have liked her more?
Maruki kind of stole the show. Similarly, how Zenkichi did for P5S. Such a great character. I definitely think he should be in jail for..something. But even before the 3rd semester, he easily became 1 of my favs. Despite the manipulation and not knowing when to call it quits.
My heart definitely broke for him and genuinely wished for his happiness. But it also felt good punching him in the face and reminding him to just let go (BTW violence is not the answer.) I hope Shibusawa can still be there for him. I'm glad he made it out. I was worried.
Akechi: But guess who didn't make it out, or did he? Akechi really grew on me. I think he shines when he doesn't care about others' perceptions of him. I love how he is straight to the point. That twist at the end got to me. I should have known. But the implications of the end?
That is what doesn't make sense. Does that mean we are still partially in Maruki's reality? Does it mean he was just daydreaming? Could he have actually survived? Who knows. I like how they kept it speculative. Also my AkeRyu crackship. Good times. Thank you.
Story: P5R is still very U shape, but now with the right side of the "U" much higher. I HATED the summer months and Hawaii trip of P5. It's easily the lowest part of the game for me. Hawaii could have easily been scrapped. I felt it was included to "fill in the calendar."
And then there is the calendar. Waiting and waiting and waiting for deadlines. Also a really weak part of P5 for me and Royal doesn't change this. But after the end of the Okumura dungeon, the game is amazing again. Some of the character writing could be better...
I am still not sure how I feel about the third semester. Someone described it as an OVA or a movie. And yeah, that's the perfect description. It still feels detached, despite Sumi and Maruki being in the main game. Yet, I think Maruki's story really carries it.
I still can't call the third semester the best plot in megaten for me, imo, but it is very high and I can't find too many faults with it. At the very least, it was nice seeing everyone's dreams come true. But I couldn't help but think about a certain paradox boy...
Other factors:
I think Atlus censorship to drag for Ryuji was weird.
Last Surprise and the OG P5 opening are better
The final OG ending is better than the P5R one.
I liked Mishima and Morgana much more this time around.
Overall, an amazing game with some flaws here and there.

@eemoo1o
oh BOY do i have a long winded explanation for you...
I don't really feel like Daniel Frederick really fits her?
Not just him being a cis (most likely straight) dude, there's just more factors that just don't feel right.
From what I understand (from watching the director's commentary in the first episode), they watched the episode subbed then built their performance off of that. I remember Brina Palencia (Ciel's VA) talking about how hard the Japanese VA goes with her lines. Which means, wouldn't Daniel at least... attempt to feminize his voice? Jun was obviously speaking in a much more fem tone but Daniel just was making her sound more of a caricature of a British person. His voice felt like it'd fit best in a parody and not a serious product. To ME at least.
Another thing is that I really do think he has the right energy but just not the right performance and carrying of his voice. I remember when another friend of mine was sitting through the anime, they told me how Grelle kind of has the same kind of voice as the Medic from TF2 (which is so funny btw) but honestly? After multiple rewatches, I can definitely hear what he was hearing and it just... does not fit her at all.
The last thing is that Daniel is just so underwhelming put next to other voice actors. Famously, this is his only role and it's something that, even in the 2010s, people weren't shutting up about. It sounds impressive until you get to Book of Atlantic and hear how seasoned Michael and Brina are compared to Daniel. PERSONALLY, I don't really think his performance really is all that great when put next to them. I know some people like it but ehhh, it's just not really for me.
And also, my personal conspiracy theory! I kind of believe that her lines were done in one or two takes and not several. This isn't really helped by the voice cracks and other things that would've been smoothed out with a second take. Something weird I've never heard anyone talk about is a moment in the Reaper OVA where Daniel repeats the line "Me? Mistaken?" in the exact same tone. It just doesn't seem like something that would be included or it would at least have a second take because of the nature of the line. But again, this is just my tin-foil hate conspiracy theory. I could be completely wrong.
Pretty much, I don't like his performance for a lot of reasons but I really wish I could. I feel it fits for when the show was more of a comedy but falls really flat when it's supposed to be taken seriously. No hate to anyone who likes his performance but it's just my personal take on his performance!

Super random but do you have a favorite adaptation of devilman 🤔
It'd have to be Crybaby I think. I do think the first two OVAs are a better adaptation of the first two chapers of the manga (and the English dub is wildly entertaining lol), and Crybaby has a lot of problems and things I wish I could change about it, but its highs are just so high. Anything that makes me cry for like an hour straight gets some serious kudos, especially since it's the only version of the story that got me emotionally invested. Plus gay Miki, which instantly puts it on top regardless of anything else lol.
This is like, out of the OVAs, the chibi go nagai OVA, Cyborg 009 vs Devilman lol (shoutout to Miki in that one btw, she was pretty fun in it iirc), and I'm also including the manga side stories and stuff created by other mangakas. Also I haven't seen the original anime, but I doubt it'd be my choice if I had lol considering there's no Ryo.
#ask#ty for asking! how about you?#honestly kind of surprised by how much devilman related stuff i've consumed since i'm not like super invested in it in a fannish way lol#text post#marley on devilman

non-passing trans women and men are included lol i literally pointed to muscular and masc amab women.
you can be hyperfeminine, have boobs and a vagina yet still be male. because male is a social perception, a construct. it is not a body type, it is a masculine identity and many bodies with vaginas can be perceived as of sperm producing origin. same vice versa.
when i say cultural meaning of woman, i mean like being seen as a feminine ova producer. (btw femininity is not pink and dresses, its an essence)
Your entire definition, if I actually managed to get it because your definitions are so confusing and circular that I’m really struggling to follow, is that being a woman means being perceived as being an adult human female. You’re free to correct me about that but, again, I’m not expecting anything because all your definitions are so convoluted and purposefully confusing because you can’t admit that it’s basically just stereotypes because you don’t want to admit that it’s stereotypes.
Anyway, this means that non-passing trans women aren’t women because they are not perceived to be women/female by the vast majority of society. That’s the problem with relying on other people’s perceptions as part of your definitions: you’re basically saying that other people must perceive trans women as being female (or an ‘ova producer’ as you say) and that’s blatantly untrue and the only way you can deny that would be to deny that misgendering exists.
I then asked you what you meant by cultural meaning without including stereotypes and you then provided me with a definition which literally has stereotypes in it (‘feminine’). You literally said being seen as a feminine ova producer which is just fucking stereotypes, despite how much you deny it!
All in all: you definition relies on stereotypes, despite how much you want to deny it because it’s all about cultural and social perception which is just stereotypes. And non-passing trans people are inherently excluded from your definitions of man and women because society will perceive them as their biological sex, not the way they identify. You can’t just say that words mean exactly what you want them to mean and expect people to just go along with them, especially when you refuse to provide coherent definitions for them.
So I ask you to provide a coherent definition of the word woman once again. Here are the restrictions I’ve put in place (these are mostly set out in my pinned post):
-You cannot use vague phrases like ‘it’s a feeling’ or ‘having an essence’. If you use these phrases, you must then describe exactly what that feeling/essence is
-You cannot use circular reasoning (eg: a woman is a woman)
-If you define woman as being female or experience womanhood, you must then coherently define what those terms mean. Otherwise, I’m going to assume it’s circular reasoning and therefore incoherent.
-You cannot use stereotypes. That’s misogyny. This includes anything about femininity or being feminine (unless you want to specifically describe what a feminine essence is without using stereotypes)
-If you use anything like social or cultural expectations/perception, then I’m going to write this off as stereotypes and say non-passing trans people are excluded. (Again, unless you can specifically describe what you mean by these terms without circular reasoning or stereotypes.)
-You haven’t included this anywhere, but anything like ‘brain sex/gender’ is also off the table as this has been debunked
It shouldn’t be hard for you to write one post with just your definition(s) lined up, right? I think it’ll provide a lot of clarity rather than me trying to pull out definitions from the multiple posts that you have provided. I’ll even get it started for you:
Woman: [insert definition]
Female: [insert definition]
Social Perception: [insert definition]
Cultural Meaning (of woman): [insert definition]
Feminine Essence: [insert definition]

“Mineta is a scumbag”
“Mineta is a scumbag”
In my MHA notes, that tagline in variation is repeated at least....20+ times.
Mineta is a trip man, and he made me chuckle maybe...3 times over the course of the entire series excluding S6 and onward, including OVA’s movies etc.
THREE times in 100+ episodes was this little shit funny, and unintentionally btw, he wasn’t trying to be funny in context the actor just said the dialogue in a way that was funny
Kid shoulda been suspended a few times ongod, and tbfh that could’ve been a funny gag in itself.
Closest to consequence for we got was Aizawa checking him in S3, finally.
