Idia

-You're on a somewhat big bolder, looking down at him "It's Over, Anakin, I Have the High Ground!" He is down on one knee with a ring, Or at least he would be were he not way to socially anxious he is so in love with you it is unbelievable

-Because it would most likely mean that you not only make references, but would also understand his! He won't have to switch to normie language nor constantly explain everything!!

-I feel like he'd be a lot more comfortable around you, because he feels more 'normal' with you; he knows you won't judge him for his word choice nor his interested, because you do the same!

-Of course his social anxiety won't disappear completely, he is still anxious around you, especially because your important to him, and there might be some days were it's worse and needs time to himself, that of course won't change that he loves you and tries to be as open as he can be with you (Speaking from experience here lol)

-If you two are dating/really close, he'll let you still chill in his room, even during some of his worser days, just don't expect much conversation. 

-Don't be afraid to look over and make a joke or reference based on what he's currently watching/playing, you'll make his day! He might not reply, but you can hear him laugh :)

-On his better days, chances are the two of you are having a date in his room, watching anime or playing video games in wich he definitely won't get competitive, noooo while eating snack and you're just almost exclusively talking in references, just going back and forth-

-In fact, not just during dates, during the few times he is outside it would be the same!.. much to your friends dismay, because most of the time, they can't understand a word you say. Cater might understand one or two from pop culture or if they're popular memes but that's about it

-Ortho also understands because he can just look it up! He very much approves of the two of you, because thanks to you, his brother is outside AND smiling for more than a few seconds, that's an absolute win in his book! :)

Malleus

-He doesn't understand a word you're saying, but he loves you anyway.

-Most of the time he just lets you say your references, happy you're comfortable enough around him to be yourself, even it confuses him!

-If the reference directly impacts the conversation though, or if one just happened to catch his interest. He'll listens very intensely to your explanation, almost scarily so! Not that you would ever find him truly scary <3

-You'd probably hold back from making to many references around him, not wanting to confuse him. When he finds out, he tells you not to. He wants you to be able to be your authentic self, and if he gets to ramble about gargoyles to you, then it's only fair that you get to make as many references as you want, no? He just needs some explanation some times

-That gives you an idea! You make a slideshow about the most common/popular, as well as your favorites, to show to him!.. Turns out he doesn't know what a slideshow is, but he is intrigued!

-So now you have a date teaching him how to make slideshows and help him make one about gargoyles! Now you have a slideshow date at least once a week, where you explain refrences and he talks about slideshows :)

-He is actually really happy about it, it shows your comfortable enough to be yourself around him and your slideshows lets him understand a bit of modern media, making it just a tad bit easier to get along with his classmates!  

Cater

-He either gets all of them or none of them; it really depends on the type of references tbh

-If it's pop culture, then he would get most of it, you'd be the type of couple who flirts through references and memes

-Half of his tweets would just be stuff like "[Insert popular hot character] ain't got nothing on my s/o" and his fans have a field trip every time. He'd also sends you like a bunch of memes and "Happy spouse, Happy life" videos

-So if you do the same? He'd love you even more than he already does! He really loves all your references that he does get, they never fail to make him laugh! You two would just be out and about, till you spot a dog that can jump very high, "Oh wow, that dog can jump higher than super Mario himself." You look to your side and see cater giggling to himself, a genuine smile on his face   

-And if you compliment him through references? Suddenly, he is very flustered!

-It might take him a while to accept the compliments though; You can't tell me he isn't actually insecure behind that influencer act. But once he does, he'll be a flustered mess every time, stuttering while trying to come up with an equally flirty comeback, BUT once he gets used to it, you two will absolutely go back and forth trying to out-reference-complement each other

-If it's anime or video game references, i feel like it'd be a bit different, since he would probably not get them unless they're really mainstream- I don't see him too invested in stuff like that 

-He'll still encourage you though, because he adores the how you'll excitedly compare something to your favorite scene, or how monotonly you'll compare someones stupidity to a character that's known for their stupidity 

-He loves it all, even those that he doesn't understand :)

Sebek and phones facts and headcanons *contains x Prefect

We got some lore bits in this new update, and I want to talk about it a little.

We already know that Diasomnia is new to phones. They don't use it in Briar Valley (as there is little to no electricity, and internet is available in only a handful of places - never mind phone coverage).

This makes it 10 times funnier when you think they've been using phones for only 1–3 years :)

Lilia is the most familiar with tech among Diasomnia thanks to his age, experience, and gaming hobby.

Malleus breaks his phones often or doesn't understand how they work (but Malleus has beef with technology in general lol).

Silver at least uses his phone camera often, and it's for some mundane things, as he mentions in his 3rd birthday vignette.

And as for Sebek's phone lore:

In the recent update, we got confirmation that Sebek at least has a Magicam account. However, he claims he only uses it for communication.

I am really, really curious what kind of communication that is, because:

Sebek finds it rude to text Malleus and Lilia directly (meanwhile, Silver doesn't see a problem contacting them at all).

In Book 7, we learned that Sebek doesn't really have friends, or he doesn't consider them as such. But in the vignettes, we learn that he spends time with the first years, at least - eating out in town, visiting karaoke, etc. I assume they have each other's numbers for communication. Maybe a group chat. He also likely has Riddle's contact information (and perhaps other members of the Equestrian Club?). Perhaps they even have a club group chat too. (For some reason I think I remember Riddle mentioning this but I can't find it)

While Sebek insists he isn't interested in the videos and pictures humans post, I suspect he does use the internet occasionally. For example, in the 2024 Halloween event prologue, he mentions learning about a book fair. While it's possible he saw an announcement at the bookshop or on a bulletin board, maybe he also uses the internet to keep up with updates about new books or events.

In the latest 4koma manga, there's an entire episode featuring Malleus and Cater, where Malleus discovers a gargoyle on Cater's Magicam (on Lilia's pc with him). If Malleus starts using Magicam to look at gargoyles, I can definitely see Sebek following his liege's example - or browsing for gargoyle content himself to share with Malleus later :D

Now some of my personal headcanons:

I think Sebek would also use his phone as an alarm to make sure he never oversleeps.

He uses a timer for studies or training.

Like Silver, he takes photos of important things, for reference, etc.

In the Diasomnia group chat, he's always the first (at 00:01) to say happy birthday lol

(Adding these headcanons I've mentioned a while ago - I still like them)

He has Malleus on his lock screen of course

and his Human's photo on his home screen, but he'll never admit it.

Also, it would be so funny if he acts all tsundere about his disinterest in the photos humans post, but then one night you get a notification that he liked your photo. It was accidental, of course, and he'll deny it to his last breath if you ask him about it (especially if it was a cute photo of yours) :D

Riddle Rosehearts

He heard Cater going on about this ‘totes cool’ (his words, not Riddle’s) escape room that Sam was hosting, and it piqued his interest… more so that you seemed interested.

“If you would like… we can go together?” He offered quietly, looking up from the notes he was rewriting for class, measuring your reaction.

You leaned forward into his personal space, “Wait, really?! I didn’t think you’d want to go.” Plus wasn’t there an Unbirthday party to plan for? 

Riddle swallowed the lump in his throat, but took in a breath, offering you a small smile. “Never know if you don’t try… plus you could use my help–”

You gently kicked him under the table, “Rude, but not unwarranted, Riddle. Who knows, there could be a word search involved.” You offered him a playful wink, enjoying that he was slowly turning red.

“Oh hush you,” he huffed. But he was looking forward to the escape room… and possibly being able to showboat his skills a bit if he were being honest with himself.

In the escape room

He is analyzing everything. He’s also taking everything seriously as if this were truly a live or death situation, and not just you two in one of the back rooms of Sam’s shop. “Of course, the key is on the top shelf,” he muttered, grabbing a chair.

You came over, and kept a hand on the chair; the last thing you wanted to happen is Riddle falling. As much as you liked teasing him, you didn’t want him to get hurt.

“How’s the view up there?” Yes, it was a bad attempt at a joke, but you couldn’t help yourself.

Riddle’s eyes were locked on something, and he jumped down, practically running towards the lock. He started dialling the knob, and the next thing you knew, the timer stopped, and the door opened.

He turned to you, offering his hand and a smile, “The view? It proved most helpful… but thank you, this was fun.”

When you took his hand, he gave it a gentle squeeze, and you ignored how red his face was. Today was nice… even if he did most of the work, but you weren’t complaining since he had fun.

Overall; a good partner to have in an escape room, even if he does most of the work (trying to impress you)

Ace Trappola

“I bet I can beat ya at this escape room,” Ace yawned, stretching out on your sofa, looking all too comfortable.

You raised an eyebrow at him, “And what makes you think that, huh? Getting ahead of yourself, don’t cha think?”

Ace straightened himself out and gave you an impish grin. “What are you willing to bet on?” He placed his chin in his hand, thinking, but looking directly at you.

Damn him. “How about I don’t tell Professor Trein about the time you ‘borrowed’ a second year’s exam just so you didn’t have to study?” You mimicked his expression and pose, waiting for an answer.

Ace balked at that, scratching the back of his neck sheepishly. “Alright, alright, no need to be nasty… but is that a yes or a no?”

“Yeah sure,” you shrugged, “how would you be able to get out–” You couldn’t finish your sentence since he threw a pillow at your face. “Don’t you think that’s childi–” You got hit with another pillow.

In the escape room

He was actually taking this pretty seriously since he didn’t know if you were joking about ratting him out. Wait, what did I bet? He forgot what he wanted to bet on if he won, and he mentally groaned at himself.

“Are ya finding anything of use over there?” You looked away from the bookcase, apparently not finding anything.

Ace looked over his shoulder to you, “What? Are you out of your depth, Sherlock?”

You grumbled, “You didn’t answer my question, Watson.” But you walked over to where Ace was trying to pick a lock. “You think that’s actually going to work? And where did you learn that?”

“I did, find something of use,” Ace murmured, focused on picking the lock. “And yes, it was by the safe. And I learned it from my brother. He said it would ‘impress a sweetheart’.” Ace felt his ears heating up; if his brother was here, he would be looking between you two before giving him a thumbs up.

Finally, the safe opened, and in it, was the code to get out. “You were saying?” He gave you a cocky grin, before punching in the pin and waltzing out.

“Thanks, this was fun,” you offered. But your face turned to annoyance, “UGH! I LOST THE BET!”

Overall; he’s decent at them, a bit of a brag, but his quick thinking will get you out pretty fast.

Deuce Spade

You actually brought the idea up to him while you were both walking to your next class together. “Say,” you bumped into his shoulder, catching his attention, “do you want to do an escape room with me?”

Without thinking, he answered. “Sure!” But he was mentally shaking himself. An escape room? He hadn’t done one of those before… plus wasn’t it like some big puzzle? “But wouldn’t Riddle be a better-”

“Nah, I just want to have fun, plus I wanna spend more time with you,” you answered with a bright grin.

Deuce blinked at your answer but offered you his own bright smile. “Okay then! I’ll give it everything I got!”

You clapped him on the shoulder, laughing a bit at his enthusiasm. “Okay, okay, okay! Excited I see! Meet me at Sam’s after your club practice, m’kay?”

“ALRIGHT!” He shouted, before remembering you were both in the hallway, and lowering his voice, lest he be scolded by Professor Crewel.

In the escape room

Deuce was flipping through the books, trying to find something while you were busy with a puzzle of some kind. Finding nothing, he walked over and started helping you put together some of the pieces.

You looked up, and you saw him bite his lip in concentration; it was quite endearing. “You know,” you break the silence, looking back to the puzzle, “I don’t mind if we don’t get out in time, this is supposed to be for fun.”

Deuce turned his eyes to you, “But it’s an escape room. Isn’t the point of it to escape?”

You looked at him again, and placed your chin in your hand, thinking. “Sure, that may be the main point of it, but also… to bond closer with people. To spend time with those we hold dear or want to improve our relationships with… figure out how their minds work.”

Deuce felt his face warming up, and just hoped that it wasn’t showing. “And you?”

“Me?” You smiled at him, as you put the last piece of the puzzle into place; it had a letter code, the code to get out. “I just wanted an excuse to spend some time with my favourite guy.”

Your favourite guy… Deuce helped you type into the pad, and as you both walked out, he was smiling brightly.

Overall; unsure of what he’s doing, but he’ll try his best to help you.

Trey Clover

You were both at Sam’s shop getting some groceries when you bumped into each other. “Buying out the entire store of its flour, huh?” You jested, looking from all of the flour bags to Trey.

Trey eyed your basket, “And you have enough tuna there to feed Grim for a bit.” But he huffed out a laugh, ignoring the main purpose of his trip, since he didn’t always get a chance to spend time with you.

“Ugh, I wish,” you sighed, eyeing all of the tuna cans that would probably last less than a day, knowing your glutton of a furball. “Hmmm, hey, we should do the escape room,” you offered.

Trey raised a brow, “Right now? Seems a bit odd, doesn’t it?”

You elbowed him, “Eh, common! If you get out before the timer goes off, you apparently get 50% off your purchase! Common Treyyyy.”

He elbowed you back, albeit more gently. “Hm, you drive a hard bargain… are you sure you’re not just Sam in some getup?”

You blew a raspberry at him, “I’ll take that as a yes!”

In the escape room

Trey was carefully looking over the pamphlet that Sam had given him that should have contained clues; should being the key word. It didn’t make a lick of sense to him though.

He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, and put the pamphlet into his back pocket. “Please tell me you’re having better luck than me–” But he didn’t see you anywhere. “Uh, Prefect? Y/N?”

You popped out from under the table, squinting up at him. “While you were busy reading, I was looking for clues.” And you went back under the table.

“And are you finding anything?” He asked, ducking down and crawling in after you. It was a tight squeeze but he managed to get beside you, joining you in your search.

You bumped your head against him by accident and hissed, “Nothing but dust and gross bubblegum.”

Trey sighed and crawled back out, looking at the clock; ten minutes left and still no idea on how to get out. “You really wanted that 50% off, huh?”

“Well, yeah. Crowley doesn’t exactly give me a living wage, you know.” You grumbled. “But I don’t mind… you’re more fun than Ace gives you credit for.”

Trey raised a brow, but shook his head, giving you a smile and a huff of amusement.

Overall; a good partner who keeps cool in the face of a deadline.

Cater Diamond

He was scrolling through his phone, bored at yet another Unbirthday party (which yet again had nothing but sweets), trying to find something that would actually be fun. That’s when he came across Sam’s Magicam account for his shop.

Huh, an escape room? He looked up from his phone, only to see one of the freshmen arguing with Riddle. Yeahhh, I’ll just go now– And he slipped away during the chaos.

And while he was walking, he saw a familiar face, and his eyes lit up upon seeing you. “Hey, hey!”

You turned around and shot Cater a peace sign. “Hey, hey, Cay-kun!” You matched his energy, finding it sort of infectious. “Surprised to see you out and about.”

Cater chuckled, “Me too, but uhhh… you don’t mind if I tag along with ya?”

You looked at him curiously, and shrugged, “Knock your socks off, I guess.” Your eyes widened though; Ace and Deuce were stuck at Heartslabyul, so you were bummed that you couldn’t go to the escape room… but now that Cater was here?

“Feel like escaping to somewhere else?”

In the escape room

Cater was filming — with your permission of course — during the entire time in the escape room. “Did you find anything?” He asked, looking over your shoulder.

“Nothing really useful,” you grumbled, “did find this coupon for spicy ramen though.” You handed it to Cater and winked theatrically at his camera.

Cater took the coupon and gave you a small smile. “Thanks! Do ya need any help?” He kneeled beside you, looking at the clue you were trying to build; yes, build. Sam really makes you work to get out in time, huh?

You poked him in the side, and Cater poked you back. “Expect nothing less, the man knows how to run a business.” You sighed, “But I guess we’re not getting out in time, sorry Cater.”

“You don’t have to be sorry,” he said quietly. “I had fun, that’s what matters most.”

“But not getting out isn’t very Magicama–”

He shut off his camera, “This? It’s just a reminder of a fun time then… just for us.”

Overall; a fun partner to have, who is relaxed and goes with the flow. And no, he doesn’t post the video… that’s just for you and him.

Anyways, hellooo this is my first time doing an ask so I'm sorry if this delivers weirdly.

I love your dark headcanons and was wondering if any of the Yandere! twisted wonderland boys (if they could) would hypnotize their partner? And how they would do it? Like Jamil unique magic or some magical object they bought from Sam (who probably wouldn't question) or even a potion? Maybe something to fry their brain until they submit? That kind of stuff, if you can't get to me, ignore this ask! Otherwise have a wonderful rest of your day and sorry to bother you!

Hi Anon! Sorry it took me this long to reply to your very first ask. Glad to have you here and happy you’re enjoying my hcs!

Quite an interesting ask, and now as I’m thinking about it, a lot of them would do it, wouldn’t they? Even if not in their normal state, I can picture a lot of them being doing something like this out of desperation. Not all of them though, so let’s go through the list and think about who would hypnotise their partner, and how they would do it!

Oh and yes since it’s a yandere scenario, I’ll try to only talk about them doing it to their loved ones.

Riddle – to him hypnosis probably defeats the purpose of making someone learn their lesson and admit that that he is right, but if a certain stubborn self-willed eel keeps being stubborn and self-willed, Riddle could get frustrated by him and try to hypnotise him. He could use either a potion or a magical object... but he would create one himself because this is too personal of a project.

Ace – he would want to do it at least once! Either out of jealousy or because he can’t ask for something he wants directly and would rather use a convoluted workaround. He also feels like someone who would get a magical object from Sam or find it somewhere randomly, and then unintentionally cause chaos because he starts misusing it, or the object works in the wrong way.

Deuce – hmmm, nope, I don’t think Deuce would do something like that, not necessarily because he is a good boy (that too!), but also because Deuce feels like someone who would use more of a direct approach. He probably wouldn’t even think about hypnosis.

Trey – he would use a potion. Trey has so much power over others with his cakes and tarts it’s insane. Whenever he adds wet ingredients to the dough or softens the crust with some milk, he thinks about how easy it would be to add a potion there and control someone like that. He is trustworthy enough, no one would suspect it, and there are a lot of potions that don’t have any taste, or have a taste that is easily coverable. Sometimes he looks at Riddle and wonders... Maybe it would be easier to just feed him a cupcake, hypnotise him, make him do unthinkable things with Trey and then forget about it? Wouldn’t that make his pining easier?

Cater – he could. He could have an entire thing in which he regularly hypnotises someone, has sex with them and then turns the hypnosis off, as if it never happened. I feel like multiple boys in this list are going to use hypnosis this way, but to Cater it’s good because he doesn’t have to hold back if the guy doesn’t remember it anyways. I think Cater would use some phone app with magical properties... Downloading it was creepy, it’s not on any official store and is banned! Kei-kun thought he’d have his entire phone hacked!

Leona – I’m 50/50 on this one. It doesn’t sound like his method, but Leona does reckless stuff sometimes. I think he used a magical object on Falena once just to see if it would work, and it did. Leona realised that he could make Falena give him the crown that way, but for some reason he didn’t and used it to have sex with him instead. Priorities..? Leona’s head is a troubling place.

Ruggie – his Unique Magic kiiind of has elements of not hypnosis but body manipulation, and I think this is his go-to, but if some magical object suddenly dropped in front of Ruggie, he would absolutely use it. The problem is, I don’t think he would mainly use it for love and sex, but it could be one of the first things he tries it on. He could go to Leona and hypnotise him into doing something he would never normally do... and then, after he learns that with this thing he could make Leona ride him, he will start controlling him for other stuff too. But I don’t think Ruggie’s joy will last long: Leona is probably going to notice that he is being hypnotised pretty quickly.

Jack – I don’t think he would. Similarly to Deuce, I don’t think Jack would even think of doing something like that, plus, it doesn’t sound fair to him. Even if he goes yandere, he would go a different route.

Azul – absolutely: he loves using Jade’s unique magic on others + probably thinks that Jamil’s unique magic is great. Unfortunately, the ones who he wishes to use this kind of magic on are those who are the least susceptible to it (i.e. Jamil himself). So Azul really wants to either create a potion or get a magical item that would be more powerful than Jamil’s Snake Whisper. I think Azul gets very horny thinking about it... But unlike the others, who use hypnosis to make someone do something and not remember it, Azul would make sure that Jamil remembers it both to manipulate/humiliate him and to use it as blackmail. Winning over Jamil this way sounds incredibly satisfying. Oh, Azul thinks too much about these things..!

Jade – Shock The Heart would be an easy answer, but it’s pretty limiting and could only be used once on a person + doesn’t necessarily make anyone do anything... So I think Jade would also go the potion (the mushroom one, of course) route. It’s not like he has to do it out of yandere reasons though, but he would be very interested to see just how much he could control someone with a mushroom-based potion.

Floyd – I think Floyd would only do it if he stumbled upon a magical item and started playing with it; his mind wouldn’t naturally go that route. If someone doesn’t want to do something, Floyd either loses interest or forces them, so hypnosis isn’t necessary. But to make someone act in a weird or unnaturally lewd way... He would really enjoy it as a toy. Especially after he sees Riddle obediently pushing his ass against him or trying to shove Floyd’s entire dick in his mouth. Floyd would abuse this power though, he would be pretty mean.

Kalim – in 99% of scenarios – absolutely not, not only he wouldn’t do it normally because he is a good guy, he also knows how bad it is to get treated this way. But in a yandere scenario, in an extremely rare and almost not possible 1%, I can picture Kalim, whose brain has been fried with jealousy for a while now, sadly going “well, there is no other way, is it?” and going to Sam to ask for advice. But the catch is, if he does that, he would instantly get disappointed because whatever Jamil does or says under the hypnosis isn’t real anyway, and this isn’t how Kalim wanted things to go between them. We’re back to 100% then...

Jamil – you said it: his Snake Whisper really is perfect for stuff like this. But I’m having a hard time picturing a yandere scenario for Jamil; he is way too preoccupied with how much he doesn’t want to have Kalim around to suddenly get obsessive over him. But I said it before and I’ll say it again: Jamil would at least consider using his UM to have sex with someone. It’s too easy and convenient for him not to...

Vil – oh, potions. Absolutely potions. Vil wouldn’t do it normally, but extreme jealousy (especially if we make him more of a yandere) could drive him this way; now this is someone who would really use “there is no other way” as an excuse. I think he would mostly use hypnosis to make his lover tell him the truth about something that’s been literally driving him insane, but unfortunately for Vil, if this is Rook we’re talking about, he wouldn’t hear anything new: the man doesn’t really lie, he just tells the truth in a weird way. This would make Vil even more frustrated and angry and the whole thing would turn sexual out of nowhere.

Rook – as wonderful as it is to play with a beautiful marionette, I think Rook finds his lover’s will and intention way too sexy to take them away like this. He takes them away other ways... Epel – this is going to take a long route for Epel to end up here, but he might. If he is desperately in love, but just can’t win the person over completely (Floyd again??), if he really wants to get treated like someone who could be a lover and not just a plaything, if he is seething with anger and jealousy, he absolutely could do it. Epel and Vil are surprisingly similar in this regard. He would probably fail one way or another though...

Idia – hmmm, nope, I think he would only use hypnosis on his loved one if they had an argument and he wanted to be a little shit about it, as in “serves you right, you prick”. Technically, Idia used to be able to access Ortho’s “brain” and program him the way he wants, and it sounds similar to hypnosis, but I think Idia wouldn’t do that even if he was super jealous. He could get an urge to erase someone from Ortho’s memories if Ortho starts to pay more attention to them or to build his life around them, but... I think Idia wouldn’t have the heart to do it.

Ortho – absolutely. If only it was that easy to manipulate people’s brain data... it’s like writing commands. I think “early” Ortho is more possible to do it than “later” Ortho, because the more Ortho develops, the more he gets excited about humans being hard to predict. But it doesn’t mean that he wouldn’t get frustrated that you can’t just cancel someone else’s wish to go somewhere, do something or see someone, or overwrite it into desire to stay with Ortho forever. The more yandere Ortho gets, the more of this desire he develops. I guess he has an inner conflict... Oh and yes, he would use repeating sounds and bright sparks to hypnotise someone: very crude and mechanical, but suits him a lot, I think!

Lilia – not his way to handle things. I think Lilia is also someone who would use force and direct command to affect his loved one. He is the one to lock someone in a room, to eliminate the enemy, to be quite drastic and obvious, even if he covers it up by being a cutie. So he is in a “wouldn’t do it, but would play with a magical tool as if it’s a toy if he stumbles upon it”. He would use it on so many people...

Silver – he is the least likely to do it out of the entire cast. Too pure. Wouldn’t even consider it. His first and only thought would be “can I hypnotise myself into not falling asleep?”. He is such an easy victim...

Sebek – if he gets super desperate, yes. In a way, he is similar to Epel, but he would be kind of upset that he had to do it, he might even think that his partner forced his hand. It’s not Sebek’s fault that Silver or Idia (not Malleus, god forbid) acts this way and doesn’t listen! He would use a tool, and he would go to Sam to get it. While being embarrassed, angry and painfully in love.

Malleus – I feel like he is powerful enough to be capable of some forms of light hypnosis. And he is super jealous, super petty and super impulsive when he gets emotional. And if this is a yandere scenario, he is emotional alright. Wait... what am I even talking about, we have the whole scene in Sleeping Beauty where Malificent hypnotises Aurora by ominously singing her name and seducing her to prick her finger (I’m not touching ch7 because we can’t talk about it yet). Yep. This man would do it. Easily.

Kat I have excellent news for you---I have just come up with a brand new AU that still revolves around Nico and Nyx and Bob but a little darker. I was just bawling over it last night. Idk if it counts as Nico Champion of Nyx but if it doesn't we'll just leave it for another day lmao. (I still have a collection of asks from Ponii--)

Anw. So.

This AU is just me indulging my obsession with angst and darkness (as always). Basically, for Nico to join Nyx, instead of Nico going to Tartarus, I simply send him directly to her. How, you ask? Well there's always one thing that connects them.

Darkness, that's what.

As in: Nico disappearing into the shadows due to transporting the Athena Pathernos, and his soul returning to the House of Nyx afterward.

This is not baseless btw bc like. I headcanon dying by shadow-traveling - which is supposedly literally dissolving into the shadows - would be different from regular deaths, hence the special resting place for Nico's soul.

I understand where Rick stands to have Nyx as she is in TSATS but yeah, I can take some not-dumb Nyx as well. In this AU, Nyx still finds Nico - a soul lost in her House. Nico, though, since I've alr established that he literally died. So here he is in the Mansion of Night, wandering through Nyx's garden, and humoring her with his existence.

He asks for his father and Nyx just gazes at him pitifully, "Little one, this darkness is where your lost soul belong" and Nico figures he has nowhere else to go.

He talks to her and tells her stories, about himself, about everything he knows, and asks her for everything she knows without barely any interest besides appeasing his bored consciousness.

I just want to make it clear that Nico is, by every means in the world, dead, so I imagine this Nico to be a little indifferent, disassociated, careless. You know, the type of attitude a mindless ghost might adopt?

Nico's still emotional enough to react colorfully to Nyx's prodding and games though. As a result, Nyx becomes interested in him the same way Anklys adores him and Cupid haunts him.

Think of Nico as Nyx's most beloved favorite pet - the one with which you take joy in playing, which you'd feed carefully, cater to its need, and be concerned with every change in its behavior.

She ends up going so far as crowning him as her Champion and giving his soul a vessel. A body made of shadows and darkness, with eyes made of supernovas and hair woven from the soul fragments in her dress. (I'm playing don't mind me. Just picture him as normal lmao)

For a long time, they stay like that.

What leads to the changes can be two things, 1/ Bob finding the Mansion of Night; or 2/ Jason's death. Hades plays a crucial role in both scenarios, however.

In the latter, I hope to draw a scenario in which Jason, upon dying, is summoned to Hades' request as the last resort to get his son's soul. In exchange for returning Nico to Hades, Jason would have another chance at life. (Though I suppose if Jason heard Nico's in Tartarus he'd go there unconditionally lmao he's too kind).

If I were to write this, I'd add Reyna and Hazel as well - since 1/ A quest is best done in three; 2/ Reyna is an immortal Hunter; 3/ Hazel is an Underworld child.

Who's the better fit for a trip to the deepest of Hell am i rite?

Anw. A ghost, an immortal and a former-ghost Underworld child go to Tartarus to find another Underworld ghost-child (jeez this is such a tongue-twister). This includes the potential for: Jason-Reyna reconciliation (bc they deserve it), Jason-Hazel reconnection (only bc I hc Hazel never forgives Jason for the jar debacle), and Hazel-Reyna friendship over praetorship and/or as Nico's sisters.

All the while, they're still mourning Nico and Jason.

It's a mess, I know. I find joy in it anyway.

I have few visions of Nyx in this, however. Jason Reyna Hazel trio took too much out of me lmao.

I suppose things would go along the way of them reaching out to Nico thanks to Hazel. And the stories progress through a series of dreams spent trying to communicate without Nyx catching wind, the trio trudging through Tartarus and Nico finding a way to liberate himself.

If I could, I'd add a plot twist that Nyx knew of this all along - Hades' trick could never pass her by, but she left Nico and Jason's gang to it because she wants to see his despair upon realizing he could never leave - for she believes in his soul belonging to her darkness, that this Mansion is, indeed, Nico's home.

I'd also like to see Nico successfully free his own soul of Nyx's shackles, and Nyx, despite the pity of losing her favorite pet, let them go because she now sees Nico's burning thrive for life - a child of both darkness and spring (She's a primordial goddess of ancient times. She can live with a little bit of boredom).

I've yet to decide on an ending, mainly because it was 2 AM and I needed to sleep LMAO. But at least it was fun.

As for the first one, I just assume Bob doesn't get captured - since Nyx already has Nico to entertain him. He might be wandering across Tartarus or staying in Damasen's tent, still calling out to Nico.

His call reaches Hades instead, and he takes advantage of that to send him for Nico. Maybe send a message through Hypnos or Thanatos, telling Bob to look out for the kid, while at the same time sending for Nico as well, telling him about what might be waiting for him thereover and that Hades wants him back. This leads to Bob coming to the Mansion of Night, alerting Nyx and awakening Nico in the process.

After that, I have yet to figure out a certain plotline, but if I were to write it, it'd run along the lines of:

Bob finally found Nico and now Nico sees the hopes of escaping, he suddenly has the desire to leave the Mansion, to which Nyx vehemently forbids. He fights back, ofc. But as a soul, there's nothing Nico can do to harm her. She's a freaking primordial what do you expect--- However, there's one thing he could do - if only to oppose her, as someone who has been holding Nyx's attention for so long. And that is why Nico rejects his own Patron.

Surely, Nyx doesn't like that. She'd have many horrible things to do with him in order to retain her champion, but ultimately Nico would be released and return to his father's side along with Bob.

Yeah obviously i haven't thought that far lmao i was too invested in what Nico and Nyx might be doing back when he's still her Champion. Tbh that's the thing I like most.

I gotta say none of the above ^^^ has any morals whatsoever - Nico's still dead, Nyx would never be defeated bla bla bla - but srsly I could care less. I'm indulging my Nyx and Nico agenda and I'm enjoying myself too much. Who cares.

I don't think the text indicates that they are secret lovers, but their intimacy and affection reads as romantic to me, and I think had circumstances been more kind that is the relationship both would prefer whether or not either of them has consciously considered it. I think they're also both very happy with their friendship as it is, so perhaps longing but not necessarily pining. They see each other constantly, after all. And I will leave a link to this again to illustrate why I believe they're a strong partnership who could have rebuilt their relationship had NHS not intervened.

There's no evidence in the text that their initial relationship is anything other than a friendship between two young clan leaders(/leader and heir), and by the time the war is properly underway they're already drifting apart in terms of how their respective worldviews are being tested by their circumstances. You yourself did the ultimate breakdown of their relationship, and while there's certainly affection it's hardly a meeting of the minds.

I will just also add a tart observation that for all fandom's supposed plethora of ace representation, NMJ the canonical ace is almost never depicted as such.

I am doubling up here quite a bit as I've already covered LXC's friendship with NMJ and his relationship with LWJ, so as a third option I'll say I find his relationship with his mother interesting. Going to hold off on more details as some absolute monster sent me an ask about her and it would be better served there. Suffice to say I have thoughts.

a headcanon that is popular in the fandom but that i disagree with

Himbo LXC has been slated enough by finer minds than mine, but OK, I'll sharpen my axe for his equally frustrating cousin, service top LXC. I would genuinely be interested if someone could point me to anything in the text that indicates LXC has any desire to 'serve' JGY and dote on him either in the bedroom or outside it, because I don't see a shred of evidence that he's harbouring any secret yearnings of that nature.

Consistently throughout the entirety of MDZS, JGY is the one catering to LXC's needs and we never see either of them express the remotest dissatisfaction with this arrangement. Yes the narrative isn't focused directly on them and all sorts of things might be happening in the gaps, but that puts 'service top' LXC in the category of speculative at best.

Actually I think I'm bending over backwards to categorise it as speculative. At minimum there are far more plausible ways for him to express his romantic and sexual affections if given further opportunity. We actually see a fair bit of LXC and how he interacts with JGY, and we know how they behave when relaxed together. There's nothing in any of their scenes that betrays any kind of anxiety about wanting to protect JGY, to wait on him, to dote on him. We can speculate that LXC at times yearns to relinquish the persona of clan leader, because he is a human being and no human being wants to always live inside their role, and I'm sure there are times when he would like to express his emotions more freely. But it doesn't follow that doing so would open the floodgates on some suppressed desire to serve and 'spoil' JGY.

I've written about this before, but LXC is already meeting JGY's needs. He likes JGY and he respects and supports him. There's also no indication that JGY secretly wants to be taken care of and doted on. Just, no indication at all that either of them is dissatisfied with their existing dynamic, which does not consist of spoilt JGY and protective servile LXC.

As always, if this is what people enjoy then that's great. Fandom is fun and we are all here for different reasons but ultimately to enjoy ourselves. My frustration is that it's like trawling the Atlantic with a tea strainer trying to find content that's more in line with the novel.

My ATLA AU is still my fave, shameless shameless, but to vary things a little I do like the idea of an AU influenced by HDM. The problem is that I've read a couple before back in the mists of time and the dæmon choices were baffling. JGY with a fox and LXC with a deer I'm on board with though, and it would be an interesting challenge to synthesise something out of the canon dynamics while incorporating all the Dust and Magisterium stuff.

I'm a basic bitch who does love the robe he wears in the CQL Xiyao doing their thing right in front of NMJ's salad scene. Just generally approve of the choice they made to introduce colour to LXC's wardrobe to differentiate him. It's something I pinch for my fic (pls cancel me now for being hypocritical about purism). Oh but I also love him with hair loopies in fanart, this is noncanonical but I see what you did there with all the official art, LWJ is the lead so he has to have the sexy bits of hair outside the ribbon even though the more austere style given to LXC would be a better match for his character. Hm, in theme with other people asking about ships, what's your favorite poly ship of each game? I really like Makoto x Kyouko x Sayaka x Mukuro for DR1 (sometimes with Celestia and Chihiro added also into the mix, though with Celestia only liking the girls since I headcanon her as a lesbian), Chiaki x Mikan x Nagito x Hajime for SDR2, Syo × Komaru x Touko for another episode (because of course), and spoilers for DR0 from this point but, Makoto x Yasuke x Junko/Ryouko for DR0 (Makoto shows up in DR0 so this TOTALLY COUNTS; I have such a soft spot for anything that explores the Makoto x Yasuke side—whether romantic or platonic—because I feel like their dynamic could be super interesting), and hmmm. Actually I don't know whats my favorite for V3. I kind of like Kaede x all of the girls, Shuichi x Maki x Kaito, and Kaede x Shuichi x Kokichi, sooo... I guess if pressed I'd pick the training trio? Honorable mention goes to Yasuke x Junko/Ryouko x Mikan; since Mikan doesn't show up in DR0 I was hesitant to count it, but I totally love that ship too.

Makoto/Kyoko/Mukuro is one of my favorite polyships as well!! I don't usually go for ships that are one guy and a ton of girls, because most of its content inevitably ends up being harem-style erotica, which is...fine, but not my thing. Probably the only exception to that for me is Hajime. It's SO funny that every single person on the island is sort of dtf with Hajime except the One person he's interested in (Peko) and the token lesbian (Ibuki).

To go back to the question: I've already brought up my V3 OT5, so I won't harp on that again for the sake of brevity!

Makoto/Kyoko/Mukuro is definitely the fave for THH, but honestly, that's mostly in IF-scenario - I think the dynamics that evolve from that particular situation are so good and interesting. In THH proper, it's actually probably Makoto/Taka/Mondo. Oh to be just a lil guy with two extremely loud boyfriends.

SDR2 is probably a tie between Hajime/Fuyuhiko/Kazuichi (I love my survivor boys) and the Twilight Syndrome Girls. I LOVE the Twilight Syndrome Murder Mystery stuff. It would be my favorite case in all of the games if it weren't for the fucking rocks in the swimsuit. Everything about it caters directly to what I love in games and in relationships. Fucked up girls who commit crimes for each other and dark sibling relationships and moral ambiguity that can be twisted by a skilled manipulator (Junko) to become a rabbit hole of horror...one of my biggest complaints with DR3 was the glossing over of Twilight Syndrome. I genuinely believe that, in a better written world, it was the catalyst for the whole class' fall to despair.

It's harder to pick polyships for the anime and books just because they don't have as much to work with. Obviously Killer Killer has Fujigawa/Hijirihara/Asano, and DR3 has Chisa/Munakata/Juzo, but, like...I've just never really liked when a love triangle is magically resolved by polyamory unless it's done Really well. It gets too easy to use it as a magic wand without addressing the actual characters' dynamics and personalities.

I had to block neil's tumblr because I was very fed up with people asking him all sorts of questions that didn't need to be asked. Things that could be left up in the air or simply things that the show does not need to address for you to make up your own canon and have fun with it, such as crowley and aziraphale's gender identity and presentation throughout the years, their sexuality, people they may have known/been friends with, how they should interpret this very specific thing, etc. Especially when it's people wanting to know the /correct/ answer like they need to follow it and condemn the rest of the fandom who doesn't. There is a difference between asking him what he thinks a character's favorite song is and whether or not they identify as a very specific thing that you want them to identify as, which can be canon to YOU without having to ask the author directly for answers. Fandom has done all sorts of things to Crowley and Aziraphale for years, no one needs to go to the author for validation of their queer headcanons, especially not to someone like neil, who is not queer at all.

In my opinion, too many people latch onto the creators for answers because in recent years they NEED something to be canon. I don't understand it, never have. I enjoy when certain things are canon, I like when queer relationships are canon, but I often find that when the authors try too hard to cater to fandom, especially shipping sides of fandom, the quality of the media degrades, and then when the fandom gets too involved with what the creator is saying, the fandom quality degrades. I enjoy fandom being known, being acknowledged, but the creators do not need to be deeply involved with fandom or influenced by it as much as some people want it to, and as deeply as, to me, it seems good omens has.

This is quite a sore spot for me right now because I just experienced this with another fandom I was deeply invested in until the tail end when the writing was very influenced by what the "fandom wanted" and it just…sucked. Fandom can be fandom and canon can be canon. Fandom is there to do what you want, so you can find likeminded people with interesting ideas you enjoy to explore topics or just have fun with the characters and the world you enjoy. Not to stick to a strict regimen of everything the creator says and believes to be true, or so the creator can try to please the loudest portion of said fandom for profit or reputation. Like you said, instead of being separate entities, there are cases where they're blurring, but I've noticed they can also make fandom become much more strict and not only are people less likely to go against this so called "canon" of a creator making a post or a comment about one thing or another, but there is more hostility toward people who don't want to follow it, as if following canon is what fandom was invented for.

Overall, I think it's good that people care. I think it's good that queer media is more popular, even if it's us being used. It's always going to be about using someone, after all. But the mindset of fandom changing in this way is not only baffling to me, but a total downer. I wish people treated their fandoms more like how they used to. To create what they want to create and believe what they want to believe because in the end, it does not matter, it's people having fun and making things they want to make.

Yes, that's basically what I was talking about! People want their headcanons to be the True Confirmed Canon but it's not what they're meant to be! And then when someone's headcanons go against with what author said on the matter, it's often treated as if they're going against Canon (which they aren't, because word of god ≠ canon, nothing is canon exept things that are in the actual text) at best, or as something Wrong and Bad and Immoral at worst. Like, there's nothing wrong with wanting to know what author has to say, or with implementing author's thoughts into your own perception of canon, but it shouldn't be obligatory, and also we all should remember that doing whatever we want even if it's not in the canon or the author doesn't like it, is what fandoms are about. Even if authors are friendly.

1. read. all the time. whenever you can. i’ve always been pretty decent at writing, but i also spent most of my childhood desperately devouring any words i could. i read a million different genres, for a billion different topics. non fiction textbooks, graphic novels, field journals, novels, anything! even films work, especially if you’re looking at dialogue.

2. just write stuff down. the best way to learn is by doing, and this goes especially for writing. your first drafts are going to have a lot of issues, and even the first things you post are going to be meh compared to what you will do in the future. but that’s okay! i’m sure if you directly compare some of the dialogue and paragraph spacing in my old stuff compared to now you’ll se a world of difference, and that just came from months and months of daily practice.

3. read more, but this time analytically. when you read something now, look critically at how it’s written. how are they dividing up their paragraphs? are they longer or shorter? is it for every new idea, or is it more than that? do their paragraphs flow well enough that i barely notice? why? and what about their dialogue? can i speak it out loud and make it sound natural? does this sound like real things people would say? how are they using punctuation to mimic nonverbal speaking cues? how can i imitate that? how is the character reflected in the way they speak? and finally, what about their pacing? does this story make sense from a time standpoint? do i feel like things are happening too slowly or too quickly, or does the timing feel real? why? how could i slow things down?

4. keep an eye out for writers giving some advice. i follow the ‘writing advice’ tag on here, as well as some published writers like @neil-gaiman . they often have a plethora of excellent advice. i read once on here (i can’t remember where) that the best way to show pauses in dialogue is to cater your stories so it takes your reader longer to read — like, for example, showing what your character is doing between pauses or stretches of dialogue, or describing what they’re thinking, or even just using spacing effectively. it was very helpful!

5. edit, edit, edit! go over your work with a kind and critical eye. if you were reading this, what parts would you enjoy best? why are these parts so good? in contrast, what parts might not be as interesting? can you make these more interesting, or are they part of the story the way they are? if you read your story out loud, does it make sense? can you picture other characters doing this? why is your character doing the thing that they are doing — does it make sense?

6. lastly — have fun! write for yourself. i have chosen several dumb and silly headcanons that i don’t see enough in the fandom, so i write them so i can read them. i love all my silly headcanons. whenever i think to myself “oh, i wish i could read more of [specific thing],” i remember that hey, wait i second, i could write that right now if i wanted to! and then i do.

Riddle Rosehearts

He's losing his mind over it, panicking in every manner known to mankind. 'Are they gonna like this? Is it too extravagant, or too simple?' He's running around, asking everyone on their opinions of his idea. He wants to make sure it's perfect, and even though everyone from Ace to Trey gives him the green light, he somehow still doubts himself. I mean, it's not every day you get to propose to the love of your life.

In the end, he settles for something simple, proposing to you in private, preferably with his friends and yours surrounding him. He keeps his little speech short and sweet, but not directly to the point — he'd be damned if he messes up his own proposal due to how shy he is about it. He starts tearing up in the middle of it because he realises that in the middle of it, he really was willing to throw all his doubts about love out the window for his beloved; he was finally ready to make a commitment that he was sure he wouldn't regret, and one that would definitely be rewarding

Don't be surprised if he stutters or tries to beat around the bush; he promises he's prepared mentally but the words might just seem to fail to fall out of his mouth, let alone even form coherently in his head. It's just a mixture of nerves and excitement, because he knows that he'll never forgive himself if even the slightest thing goes wrong.

"I'd throw away all my issues just for you!"

Trey Clover

He too, is one to keep it simple! In terms of the overall proposal and privacy, that is. To him, proposing to you is something intimate and emotional, and he rather not have the public swooning over something he'd much prefer to share with you, and you only in private!

He keeps the preparations on the down low, mostly consulting Cater and Riddle for their opinions on his ideas. However, he does let Ace and Deuce chip in if they happen to hear of it, under the condition that they keep their mouths wired shut; because otherwise, he might just have to do it himself!

He tries to remain suave and smooth when it comes to proposing, but you can see the way he wears his heart on his sleeve, and how his extended hand is trembling ever so slightly. You can hear him sigh while he smiles to himself mid-sentence, blush creeping up his cheeks as he struggles to form a coherent sentence.

He does the classic 'propose on one knee' thing because really what else do you expect from this man. After he slips on the ring, you can feel the way his arms linger around your waist for just a little longer, giving the slightest of squeezes, before placing a chaste kiss on your nose.

"... this is kinda embarrassing, but would you?"

Cater Diamond

Initially, he'd wanted to propose in public — in a restaurant, cafe. However, he didn't want to put you on the spot and make you feel pressured to say yes. So that's why he decided on a private proposal in a room full of your friends and his, recording your reaction from corners of the room.

The way he goes about it is rather interesting — he brings about the idea of marriage mid-conversation, testing the water of sorts. Until suddenly, he pulls out a rose gold ring, the reflection of the diamond stud catching your attention from your peripheral vision.

He doesn't ramble, but reassures you of how much you mean to him, and how he's willing to throw anything out of the way for you while maintaining eye-contact. You've never seen him this serious and you can tell from the rush of words coming out that he's desperate for you to stay by his side; his fear of losing you.

So he's surprised when you say yes to him. You seriously are confident that you want to spend the rest of your life with him? He's never felt such a sense of self-worth before, that being himself is actually enough for someone. And he's even more excited that it's you.

He's quick to throw himself over you, burying his face in your neck while he smothers you in kisses, and you swear that you could feel a few tears trickle down your neck.

"Ahhh— I can't believe you really said yes.."

Ace Trappola

He'd prepared really hard prior to the actual proposal, even going to the extent of practising with Deuce to get his honest feedback. He'd memorised every word of what he was to say, but obviously with them, even when you put two and two together you'd still end up with a negative... anyway

All his preparations were thrown out the window the moment he realised what he was actually about to do, he says that 'keeping it casual would make it easier for him to get his feelings across' but really it's the nerves. Even you could tell from the way his voice trembled as he spoke.

You two would be relaxing on the couch until Ace decided that that moment would be the prime time to propose, even if you were busy doing work. You would think he was joking at first, but what first seemed like an immature prank soon became a full-fledged proclamation of his love for you and how much you meant to him.

He tries to brush it off as no big deal at the though of you rejecting him, but he also wasn't exactly caught off guard when you said yes; definitely surprised though. You could see the way his brain forgot to function properly, still busy processing whether or not you truly said yes.

He'd simply slip the ring onto your finger with jittery hands, nearly dropping the ring. To you, it may seem like he's just blanked out, but inside he's just letting your futures play out in his head like a tape.

"Hehe, the ring really fits your hand huh?"

Deuce Spade

He is literally tearing his hair out. bending over backwards to think of the perfect things to tell you. Was he sure that you'd want to spend your life with this clammy man? A jittery boy with a cringe bully backstory? Regardless, he does it anyway.

When it comes to the proposal, it's everything you'd expect; a run-of-the-mill, cheesy one, similar to Trey's! He proposes wherever you shared your first date, which is probably NRC tbh. He's soft, squishy and everything inbetween, and might even end up crying before you do.

When you say yes, he begins cheering himself, nearly forgetting to pass the ring to you. It's quite the adorable sight, but only for a man who'd just propose to his partner — otherwise it would be cringe. He becomes extra jittery, so excited that the slightest touch would set him exploding into oblivion. Bouncing up and down, hyping himself up and congratulating himself for doing well.

He throws himself onto you, smiling into your shoulder, imagining how the wedding reception would go. He's so glad you said yes because he was going to treat you like absolute fucking royalty brah.

"Are you sure you don't want to rethink it? I mean, it's me we're talking about.."

20. who holds a grudge the longest

light for sure. i think L is disconcertingly quick to forgive even things that are very clearly extremely serious and which almost everyone on the planet would be furious about forever. you can say the most scathing and vile things about him and he’ll just be like, “ok well. i didn’t like that. but never go to bed angry.” he’s not even repressing it. he’s just actually for real done with the emotion.

[EDIT: tumblr deleted this when i posted because they don't appreciate my emo headcanons] it actually freaks light out a lot. since L is never mad at him, he has to actually deal with his guilt about whatever he’s done. (also he’s mildly concerned that this is indicative of some kind of mental problem on L’s part. like why is he okay with this? does he just expect people to do bad things to him? the answer is ‘sort of maybe a little bit.’)

light, on the other hand, will hold the most inane grudges for literally years. counterintuitively he’s less vindictive about things that are actually serious because he hasn’t gone through the whole process of justifying to himself why some minor inconvenience is bothering him more than it should.

21. who is quick to speak and who is quick to listen?

they’re both a lot quieter than they seem, but light talks a LOT to L specifically. he has a lot to say! he knows L will be interested in it. (light generally assumes that everyone will be interested in everything he has to say forever, but he is extra sure with L & also actually cares about what L will say in response) L talks a lot when he gets going but he pretty much never interrupts people or adds anything until the other party is 100% done whatever they’d planned to say, which with light can sometimes take quite a while.

in general, L doesn’t necessarily come off as a good listener because never makes affirmative noises so people often assume he isn’t paying attention, but this doesn’t bother light because a) light knows him well and b) light simply cannot conceive of the possibility that anyone would not find his words fascinating, illuminating, and possibly life-changing.

25. who is the most stubborn

(this is somewhat dependent on my personal hc that L was just one of many children/candidates in the wammy house, which is directly contradicted by some material outside of the manga. but so it goes.)

this is also light. L really seems stubborn to a lot of people, including light in the early stages of their relationship, but he actually folds pretty quickly on most things. as with his quickness to forgive, light is slightly worried about this, and it is maybe somewhat related to having grown up in an environment where insisting on the things he wanted was completely useless — quillsh and roger weren’t malicious, but it just wasn’t structurally possible to cater to him when there were so many other kids around. the way it manifests in him isn’t necessarily unhealthy, though. he just doesn’t see the point in arguing for things he doesn’t care deeply about. he finds it viscerally upsetting and also a waste of time. (bickering is different, bickering is recreational.) if he truly cares about something, he’ll insist on it.

light does eventually get good at making sure L’s actually doing what he wants rather than just going along. this is pretty easy to do since L is pretty vocal about what his opinions and desires are, he just doesn’t demand that they’re followed, so basically all light has to do is go along and/or compromise once in a while.

Celebrating valentine’s day with the chaotic trio (Itadori, Gojo and Megumi)

Author note : today is very special day. I don’t know if you’re currently dating someone, or if you’re single (welcome please have a sit) I want you to do all the things you love. Don’t be sad because today you’re not dating someone, be proud because you are you, you’re alive and I’m so proud of you. My words won’t probably be enough I’m sending you all the love you might need because you deserve this. 

I hope you’ll enjoy this, I realize that in my previous headcanon about JJK I haven’t include any women which is a shame. I’m not confident enough to write about a lot of character : but I’m trying, I’ve started to read the manga in addition with watching the anime. Let me know if you enjoy it.

I love him, I really do he is a sweetheart, an angel whatever but he is a mess. 

Seriously it’s canon that he never dates anyone is in his live. How the hell did he manage to have you by side is a mystery. 

He is not complete idiot though. He knows what Valentine’s day is, but he never celebrates it, and has never met someone who celebrates it. So he is kinda confused about what he is supposed to do : a date ? Yes but it has to be special right ? Do you expect him to be super creative or just being himself ? Do you expect an expansive gift or something meanful ? 

He was confused and let’s be honest he was a bit anxious about it. Cause he loves you and he wants you to feel love and honored. 

Let’s be real Sukuna gives him the worst idea (because he just enjoys seeing him struggling what a meanie) 

He tried to ask his sensei because Gojo is his sensei so he had to know everything … right ? 

He gave up because he was talking about spicy things which makes no sense in his mind 

He wanted to talk with Megumi but then he remembers that he is not good with people so he is probably not dating someone 

So he went to see Nobura. 

Go to see Nobura when you needs idea seriously 

She gave him so many idea he had to take notes, she gave him so many advice too like about gift he needs to try something meanful instead of expensive gift. A lovely day would be nice too. As long as he spent the day with you, you’ll be fine 

So he planned something simple and yet cute, he finds some cute little restaurant close to a parc where he wanted to walk after that. Then, he took you to his house for some chill time (just an excuse to cuddle because he wanted to hold you so much during your walk together) 

Even in his room he thought about everything he even went as far as to buy some fluffy blanket and a lot of chocolates (and borrow some movies to watch thanks Gojo-sensei). 

During the whole day until he gave you his gift he couldn’t help but feel a bit anxious. And it didn’t help that Sukuna was trying his best to stress him even more. He never had a relationship before and he was started to fall in love with you deeply, he wanted to let you know how much he loves you but he didn’t how to do it the good way. 

Of course you’ll notice it, especially because he wasn’t as happy and joyful as usual. So seeing he wouldn’t say anything about it, you decided to confront it about it and he just bluntly explained to you that he was afraid that you might not appreciate his gift. 

So he just went for it and gave you his gift. 

It was actually a hair grip he saw you were looking after. Seeing him not daring to look at your eyes you decide to just jump into his harm to kiss him. 

« Thank you so much Yuji ! I love it so much I love you »

Okay let’s say Sukuna was not only disgust by the whole love love scene in front of him but also disappoint him because he could hear Yuiji being all cocky in front of him

Gojo Satoru 

another one that never celebrate Valentine’s Day before

Not because he never dates someone but because his relationship never last enough to celebrate with someone before. 

So you were an expection

You might feel lucky but everyone around you would say no (I mean the man is a disaster) 

Being in relationship with him would mean to expect surprise every morning because the man can’t stay still even for his own good. Sometimes you woke up with him surrounding by a lot of crisps just because he feels like it. 

So you were expecting something like eating a lot with him and probably have some good quality time (hear sex and movie cause he is pretty horny like 90% of the time) 

But when you woke up, no one was here even his bed was cold meaning he left a long time ago (or didn’t even come to bed). You just started your day like any usual day checking every second your phone. 

You shared some texts with Gojo but nothing that might betray a plan or anything. He even told you that he was pretty busy today and might no be able to go home today. 

It made you sad 

Not because he wasn’t here today (you understood that he was a busy man) but it’s been a long time since you haven’t seen him and you started to miss him. 

You know that Valentine’s Day was commercialized and everything but you couldn’t help but want some quality time with your boyfriend. Honestly just cuddle him while watching a movie would be perfect 

But since your boyfriend would be busy today, you decided to spent the whole day  going around for some shopping.

During the afternoon after buying way too many clothes, you felt your phone moving in your pocket someone was calling you. 

It was Gojo wondering why you weren’t at home ? You didn’t answer at first like How could he possibly know that ? 

Feeling that you might be surprised by his comment he just told you that he went home early to spend the afternoon with you. 

You didn’t even bother to answer you just run like your life depend on it. He was here he wanted to surprise you. 

When you finally managed to be in your house you left everything and just go for a hug. 

« Hehe look at you all pouty for me did you miss me that much ? »

« You have no idea how much I missed you »

« Guess I’m just so incredible you couldn’t get enough of me »

« I guess so »

He teases you during 10 whole minutes until someone knocked at your door. 

During your run, Gojo called a caterer and a florist to apologize for not being here lately and also because he wanted to celebrate Valentine’s Day with you (he won’t tel you that he show off during his whole day at work) 

He wanted to take you at a restaurant to enjoy some good quality foods but he discovered from Nanami that you seemed a bit off lately, it didn’t take him a long time before realizing that you were missing him. 

So he planned to spend the whole night love you and remind you how much he was into you. 

You shared good food together, watched some movies. You were actually very into one action movie until you felt some lips on your neck. 

Not need to say you never saw the end of the movies but that’s okay since you were busy being taken care of by your lovely boyfriends 

When it came to your gift, he bought you a gorgeous ring. He joked about being a test for when he would finally ask you the very specific question. 

This day you never managed to know if he was joking or not 

Megumi fushiguro

he is also a disaster but not because he doesn’t know what to do (he has some ideas thanks to social media) but because he doesn’t know how to behave with people I mean he can talk to them. But 99% of the time you’re starting a conversation and he follows

But today is a special day it’s Valentine’s Day and for once he wants to be in charge about your date (even tough sometimes he suggest some place to go you’re just too excited he can’t stop you he doesn’t want to it).

Like Itadori he started to ask Gojo-sensei (since he seemed very comfortable with those kind of things) but didn’t find anything interesting so he just left without letting his sensei showing off about how many people he seduced blabla

So he went directly into Maki which wasn’t a good idea. Not that she didn’t have any idea but she was like « why would you celebrate Valentine’s Day ? Aren’t you supposed to cherish Y/N on every single day ? » which wasn’t true anyway

So he left without any idea and couldn’t manage to ask kugisaki about it he knows he wouldn’t stop hearing about it. So he just looked through social media, Pinterest anything that might interest both of you 

He choosed to take you in some place where you can both relax and have some sweets. It was a very romantic place full of books with couch everywhere it was very comfy. He loves it especially because he could enjoy some quality time without being surrounding by people. 

Then you insisted on going into your place so you could cuddle since he is not comfortable with PDA in public other than holding hand.

When you were home, you guys just cuddle in his bed enjoying some music together. No words needed to be said, just feeling his hand stroking your hair was enough for you and when it came to him, having you by his side was enough to melt his heart. 

As a gift he decided to buy you a book where all of his pages where white. He wanted you to decorate it as you wanted, and you decided to put all of your pictures you take with him like your own made album. 

He never told you that actually in the end of the books he writes something for you. It was actually pretty simple but it means everything for you.

• Let's say that even in a world like Twisted Wonderland Malleus is not exactly used to seeing people taller than he is. Of course, he knows perfectly well that it's possible, but finding someone so tall at school ... surprised him a little, that's all.

• His surprise obviously does not upset him. It can only be said from his eyes, slightly more open, while looking at the face higher than his: "Interesting." He murmurs to himself with a slight smile.

• Malleus is like a wild animal, he must be spotted at school, it is difficult to meet him. But certainly the curiosity for that student will perhaps make him linger a little longer.

• Despite the height he finds s/o cute, and fun. He has a very different personality from his, but he doesn't mind that. Indeed, it attracts much more.

• It is extremely rare for him to find a person who is so open and natural with him, so when he sees that s/o begins to have the tendency to look for him a little, he cannot help feeling a little smug -and less alone-

• When he thinks he's a little used to s/o, they surprise him again. Being with their arms around his chest briefly turned off his brain. What had happened? He had only lent them a book.

• The apology of s/o that followed brought him back to reality. Evidently his perplexed gaze had scared them.

• Malleus chuckled that day, and simply said it was fine.

• Yes, s/o that day officially obtained permission to embrace the dark prince.

• Now they have no problem hugging him where and when they want. They often hug him from behind, snuggling their face to Mal's soft hair.

• It is fun for both Malleus and s/o to see Sebek's severe reaction, but the prince simply places a hand on s/o's arm, to make them stay.

• Malleus says nothing, as if it were the most normal thing in the world. Sometimes he simply reminds them "be careful with horns" before they can accidentally injure themselves in their loving gestures, but otherwise Malleus simply continues to do what he did with a slight smile.

Vil Schoenheit

• Oh well, height certainly has a certain charm, and who knows charm better if not dear Vil? S/o undoubtedly attracts his attention.

• He does not approach directly, after all he must maintain his star-like attitude, after all, but he will often keep an eye on s/o and will wait patiently for them to approach him.

• When he finally hears the shy voice of s/o asking him for a simple advice you can certainly see the satisfaction in his eyes, while he raises his head to look at them.

• He has advice as long as s/o wants, you know. He had been preparing them for some time, even if s/o is not from his dorm he will certainly take care of them anyway.

• But hugs with him are more difficult. The first time he found himself in the enthusiastic arms of s/o he immediately stiffened from the shock. He slipped away like a cat, slightly cursing the gesture.

• It is while he is adjusting his hair - already perfect, but make him understand - that he notices the face of s/o discouraged and injured, while making weak apologies. He freezes for a moment, before sighing surrendered.

• "Okay, well. A hug. Light and delicate, be careful." He murmurs, as he opens his arms to be welcomed again among those of s/o.

• God, he will never forget the enthusiasm on s/o face when they hug him again, hiding in his shoulder.

• Whenever s/o look at him with their puppy eyes, Vil then opens his arms with a sigh, waiting to be embraced. It is now a gesture of habit.

• So that day when s/o will run away happy without silently asking for his hug he will not be happy.

• "Hey! Where's my hug ??"

Idia Shroud

• Idia, poor Idia. Already he is scared of people, being in front of someone so tall certainly makes him uncomfortable. Why did he come across s / o, first of all?

• The gentle expression of s/o reassures him, but he still can't look them in the eye while talking to them.

• He willingly helps them though, if he can. In the end they are a loving person, he is not like Kalim or someone like that. He feels much more comfortable around s/o.

• Yeah well, this until it's in their arms. it was so sudden that Idia finds herself squealing with fear and surprise, while his body turns to ice, and immediately on fire .

• S/o immediately moves away from him, looking at him with big eyes of surprise. Then they laugh gently at his red face.

• "Sorry" they murmur as they leave, leaving Idia in his embarrassment.

• For a while Idia will certainly disappear from society more than he did before.

• But one day he discovers that the hugs of s/o are perhaps better than the others. This is when thanks to them he manages to avoid a Cater that is a little too happy for his tastes. S/o embraces him, keeping him hidden, away from the eyes of passersby. Oh yes, it's a reassuring refuge at the time.

• "Are you OK?" they ask with a kind smile.

"Umh ... yes, I suppose ..."

• He still squeals when s/o embraces him without warning, but instead of running away he huddles against them, still red in the face but hey, no one sees him there.
