canon aerith basically just throws pies in the turks’ faces and they’re like ‘wow what a lovable scamp. we’ll never catch her alive!’ like the turks are just clowns in canon, aerith is a clown, sector 5 is a fuckin circus and nobodys trauma or war crimes are taken seriously

meanwhile in reality if the game took their relationship and the turks’ powersets seriously they would pose a real threat to aerith’s life and autonomy and she would be so scared of them and even tho she would be friendly and silly around them---she would have to be genuinely clever and LUCKY AS HELL to get away from them. and yeah, she’d still be quippy. but only as a means of distraction and bc she Cannot Stop Talking to herself when she’s anxious or cornered. and she probably knows she’s doomed anyway because she’s under constant survellaince and they’ll take her down One Of These Days, literally any day they want to when they start taking their particular mission to catch her seriously. but that just makes her more scared and makes her want to act out and act like a clown even more lol
