So yesterday, July 27th 2024, I had this random urge of downloading tumblr, rediscovering my account. Since I didn't even remember I had an account, I had to request a new password, leading me to my old hotmail outlook so I could change it. To my surprise I found not 1, but 2 emails from Tumblr; a recent one requesting the password change and one sent earlier at 15:27 stating: "PANDORA turns 12 years old today!".

At first glance I was confused since I knew "Pandora" was the name I gave to my alter ego when I was a teen, but I didn't remember anything about this old tumblr account of mine, at all.

Apparently, part of me (Pandora, perhaps?) did remember though, since I just happened to log back into my dead tumblr exactly on its 12th anniversary, unbeknownst to me, and stumbled upon my old posts, pictures, scattered thoughts, narrow interests of that time... and upon the "#2014 revival" hashtags and blogs, which has surprisingly awakened a spark of nostalgia to my 2014 days...

I never really used tumblr that much even back then (as you can see if you look through my blog) and I highly doubt anyone will read this, but I thought stumbling upon my old blog on its anniversary and revisiting the sh*tposting of my younger self seemed like such a fated thing that I've decided it was worth writing about it and the feelings and thoughts it has evoked in me so that when 12 years from now I remember tumblr again I get to see a glimpse of yet another version of myself through the years.

Although I am a completely different person now (or perhaps, just a different version of the same person) and everything has changed so much, inside and out, I think I'm finally able of doing what 2014 me couldn't do and reconcile all parts of me, both good and bad, dark, light and even grey, and leave this blog up just as it was, even though I don't relate to past me anymore, because I guess she's still part of me somehow and I'm not ashamed of her the way she used to be.

And maybe even... with this whole 2014 nostalgia, looking back at my own picture and remembering those times... I might as well try to relive the blog to further feed into the nostalgia. Oh, to be 16 again, listening to the Arctic Monkeys and taking soft grunge/tumblr aesthetic photos as I changed my hair color every other week... Such a time of my life I truly thought I would never really miss but I guess it's already been long enough by now that it is worth the nostalgia!

OFFICIAL PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

(for once this blog is being used for more than just sh*tposting)

It has come to our attention that there has been an increased number of what we call "Fallers" coming to our world. For those unaware, Fallers are people who went to a different universe by accident. Most experience some form of memory loss which can make the job of finding Fallers much more difficult.

Now this would not be an issue on its own as we here at the Aether Foundation had begun work on potential tech to send the fallers back to their homeworlds, and to bring back any who might've left from ours. But with an increase of Fallers also comes an increase of Ultra Beast, for your convinence and safety you can find a list of all currently discovered Ultra Beasts here.

For the safety of the general public, we are temporarily starting the "Aether without Borders" Project, or AWB. Because of the fact that these Fallers and Ultra Beasts have become less condensed to merely just the Alola Region, we are working with officials from other regions to temporarily set up bases of operations for this project.

In terms of what a normal citizen can do to stay safe here is a list of recommended courses of action:

Keep aware of where you are going at all times

Make sure at least one other person knows where you're headed at all times

Alert any sort of officials immediately if you suspect a friend or loved one has gone missing

Do not and I mean DO NOT try and fight any Ultra Beasts head on. Find the closest AWB station and alert them about the Ultra Beast, as they have been trained by our best to handle UBs with and without combat

Help out anyone who you may suspect to be a Faller, before rerouting them to a safe station, Fallers attract UBs due to the lingering Ultra Wormhole energy so these safe stations will be places where they can easily be protected from them.

With all of that said, stay safe until we can locate and stabilize the cause of increased Ultra activity.

I'll be honest it's hard to find because it's old and buried. A lot of it is incomplete, an Au, or left up to interpretation. Hahahaah... I'm going crazy.

But! Good places to look is obviously @radsee 's page first and foremost. You can go to their searchbar and search for Greaser or Vinny or even FreshGrease. You'll get a plethora of different stuff depending on what you search and how far you dive. A lot of asks and sh!tposts are as much content as you'll get with the guy.

There are two major Greaser AU's that are central to his character. Both go by the name of Vinny. One is by @loverofpiggies in Lucidia and the other is by @pixie-mage in the Spice Of Life.

CQ's Lucidia has yet to be started but there is some facts and art out there. Again you're going to have to go to the search bar and search him up. Same with SpiceOfLife by Pixie. I haven't seen a finished product. I'm not sure there will ever be finished products. It's been a long long time and people grow out of fandoms. I don't blame them but it does leave us to do the work.

Everything I've learned has been from hours of stalking these three creators and the greasersans or vinnylucidia tag which I now dominate💀.

I wish there was a fic or something. It would give definite canon lore. But it is what it is and it's kinda fun just to imagine. That's what the Utmv fandoms for I suppose 🤷

So, I'm pretty sure I said I'd get around to Penglai at some point or another, and today is the day!

This place was mentioned in New Gods: Yang Jian near the start of the movie and is portrayed as the city of the gods, similar to Asgard or Olympus in Norse and Greek mythology. It even seems to be in the sky, which would align more with the Court of Heaven than Penglai.

Penglai was actually one of 5 magic islands that roamed around the eastern ocean on the backs of giant turtles. These islands were paradises and home to immortals. Legend has it that one of those immortals was out fishing one day and somehow managed to hook an island turtle and tangle up another. How he accidentally snared two massive, ISLAND-SIZED TURTLES I'll never know, but it was bad news for the people LIVING on that island. However, in some legends one of the turtles (named Ao) was killed by Nuwa when she repaired the sky. I like to think that the fishing line killed one and Nuwa killed the other

Either way, two of the turtles end up dead and the populations of immortals on them get displaced. They all move to the remaining three islands: Fanglu, Yingzhou, and Penglai. Of the three, Penglai is the most famous.

Honestly I think that lion turtles from Avatar: The Last Airbender are more similar to the mythological Penglai than the city of the same name in Yang Jian. I would be genuinely surprised to hear that the creative team took no inspiration from this myth when creating lion turtles.

That being said, I'm in no way disparaging Light Chaser Studios and the team behind New Gods: Yang Jian for how they portrayed this location in their film. It looks gorgeous. (Though it would have been awesome if it were on a massive flying turtle)

Might not be super active this week because I’m working overtime at my job and it’s taking everything out of me atm.

Despite that, I just want to stop and thank you all again. This blog has received a surprising amount of attention these past few days. I’m glad y’all enjoy my brainrot because there is a lot more on the way. I also want to start reblogging posts since I was too nervous to do that before. P.S. The sketch animatic has been started. As of yet I have no idea how long it’ll take me, but I’m slowly making progress when I can.

The demo breakdown for Black Adam is wild. It's sixty-seven million opening is middling in the face of expectations but how it even got that much, is hilarious. Nearly sixty percent of that audience was black and brown people. a whole third of that audience was just black folks, alone. I mean, of course it would be. Mans got "Black" in his name and is played by The Rock. Nah, what's surprising is the fact that, like, twenty-something percent of the audience was white. I say that because it's white boys always complaining about "wokeness" and "forced diversity". Well, by their own admission, none of that was even IN Black Adam and they STILL didn't show up! In order for a movie to be a proper blockbuster, to do MCU numbers, the white audience should be the top demo of any film. Jut based on population numbers, in order for a film like this to be healthy, white people need to make up forty percent of that audience. They showed up to Black Adam at a twenty-five percent rate. All that sh*t they talk about identity politics or whatever and they didn’t even support a film that was, by their own admission, devoid of that stuff. So what's that tell you? It was never about wokeness.

It was never about identity politics. It was never about agendas, race bending, or gender bending. It's always been about white boys seeing less of themselves in media, and getting caught up in their feelings about it. There’s been a pivot in Hollywood to b more inclusive as to what they present in their films. They ant to reflect the world at large, not just what is seen in, like, rural Idaho. Superman isn’t just for America, bud. Dude is a worldwide icon and there are people other than Caucasians in the world. Marvel has a decent understanding of that and you see them trying to adapt to that new social perspective and they’re getting trounced for it. Nothing in Phase Four is terrible, maybe Eternals, but everything has a lot of different “color” to it. Lots of female energy. Lots of diversity. Lots of realistic takes on the greater world of the MCU. There are more than just three black people in the world. There’s a prominent Muslim character now. Shang-Chi is a much better take on a martial arts hero rather than Iron Fist. Everything about Moon Knight was incredible. Nothing was as pedestrian or superficial as Black Adam. there was opportunity, sure, but that was slighted in favor of the “safe” take and these assholes who decry a far more realistic snapshot of the world as a whole in their cinema, still didn’t support the sh*t. But we did.

I'm no fan of what KK is doing to Star Wars but you're an idiot if you don't understand that the force has always been female. Ahsoka Tano. Mara Jade Skywalker. F*cking Leia Organa. Hell, Leia is the archetype of how to write a strong female character without losing that femininity in the process. Kennedy is definitely injecting her bitterness into these new female characters, for sure, and hate them for that, but to be upset that there are so many women in a franchise that has, historically, championed women, is dumb. She-Hulk isn't misandrist slander, it's playful satire of those very vocal, very neckbeard-y, “fans” who refuse to see reason about their comic book and space wizard movies. Seriously, after that show ended, the head writer came out and said the entire series was an exercise in trolling the trolls, which re-contextualized the entire viewing experience for me. That show went from mid and fun to top tier sh*tposting, bait in a matter of seconds. And these assholes took that bait with fervor, only to “reee” something fierce, after Gao exposed her intent after the fact. These are the people who championed Black Adam. These are the same people who jacked that Audience score “to the moon” on RT. The failure of this, very specific, very vocal, crowd showing up to support what they tout as "the best capeflick of the year", proves that it was never about wokeness. Motherf*ckers out here complaining about forced diversity and sh*t but the fact we forced our diversity into them theater seats and made this movie a mild hit, effectively saving DC on film, is irony at its finest.

Planning to Raid Area 51? A Look Into Why Our Generation is Willing to Storm a Military Base for a Meme

The Facebook event page “Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of Us” has, within the last five days since its creation, has gained over 2 million people publicly claiming that they will be partaking in a raid of Area 51 on Friday, Sept. 20, 2019 at 3 a.m. – 6 a.m.PDT,  with another million marking themselves as interested in the event.  

The personal goals of these 2 million vary, but the page states the event’s goal: “We will all meet up at the Area 51 Alien Center tourist attraction and coordinate our entry. If we *naruto run, we can move faster than their bullets. Lets see them aliens.”

The event has three official hosts. “Sh*tposting cause im in shambles” a page ironically listed as a religious organization; “SmyleeKun,” a gaming video creator and “The Hidden Sound,” an event planner from Little Rock, Arkansas. I reached out to all three for comment, none have responded.

One might assume that this is a joke, that no one would do this.  Well, the military isn’t taking that chance, an Air Force spokesperson told NPR in a July 15, 2019 statement, “Any attempt to illegally access the area is highly discouraged.” 

Why wouldn’t they take it as a joke? It is, in my honest opinion, that people will show up, not the whole 2 million, but a sizeable amount.  They will show up to be there and witness history, to witness how far we’re willing to go, but most importantly, for the clout. 

The easiest way to define clout is fame and power concerning social media. Simply being at Area 51 and posting photos of yourself there could launch you and help you gain 1,000 of followers. This is why our generation won’t stay away. This is why we’ll be out there.

An EMD music festival called “Alienstock” has been scheduled in the little town of Rachel, NV as a safe way for the Area 51 Raiders to enjoy the weekend. It is free to the public but camping and parking will run you $80 – $130. No glass, fire or weapons may be brought onto the festival grounds. Food vendors, water and porta potties are present.

The interview highlights the recent violence in Manipur, which was triggered by the demand to grant Scheduled Tribe (ST) status to the Meiteis. However, there are deeper reasons behind the unrest.

What is the current case scenario of Manipur?

[05/06, 4:11 pm] 54,000 displaced people, more than 100 kilings, 5k incidents of arson, 17 missing and over 6k FIRs and he (PM) never spoke a word. It's been a month and they are still banning internet. They said they might unban from tomorrow. People keep dying and houses keep burning, just our area is a bit safe because we are near to the airport.

As a member of the Meitei Tribe what is your take on the current situation?

[29/07, 2:24 pm] The kukis ran to mizoram from where they sh*tpost about our tribe and when if upload the videos of what they did then what? They told everyone it's meiteis against tribes, It's all of us, meiteis kabuis tangkhuls against them. The mother whose son got murdered and whose body couldn't be located and she's gonna perform his last rites with a substitute object. The 75 year old farmer they kicked around and we have the video btw, he's no more, and no cared about him. The front lines are every community that suffered because of them and they have the audacity to tell lies about everything. If I had their confidence I would be a different person by now. I mean I know nothing much I guess and at this point people will believe what they want to believe. It's frustrating to tell our story. It's frustrating fighting and trying to prove we are right too. And it's annoying watching people believe them and their stories and pay no heed to ours. We can only talk among ourselves and be upset and feel like this world is ending. No one. No one cares how much we went through the 3 months. We tried to reach out and no one cared. Then their [kukis] video got viral. Every story has both sides. Theirs is wide open and ours isn't. I don't want to have to ask anyone to believe us. The only truth i can be confident is this, Manipur is our ancestral land and will remain so.

Can you explain the "indigenous tribals of Manipur " rallly by the kukis and what was the outcome of it?

My Kabui (tribe) friend told me about the rally the kukis organised calling themselves "indigenous tribals" of Manipur. She's saying how it didn't involve the other actual indigenous tribes and how the Zeliangrong and Tangkhul community and the others had to put out notices saying they weren't a part of the rally and they weren't informed about it either.

It's easy for them to tell everyone it's Meitei against tribes because we are considered the majority and it's us they are actually against. The other tribes kept quiet because they are vulnerable in the hills too. That is why they joined the rally yesterday. Would we have forced them? They joined us, even the meitei muslims because we lived together in this state since years ago. But the ones we are fighting, they are refugees who suddenly demanded a separate administration. When the nagas started a war against them and they were running for their life, we gave them refuge in our state, it's all in history, then they turn against us.

What role did Mizoram play in this?

[30/07, 4:56 pm] Mizoram wants to expand their land, it's their people, they have only to gain from it. Even their CM asked the Parliament to open the Indo Myanmar border. We would all have died if that happened considering the Myanmar militants who are constantly at war with their own forces too. All he does is work against us for his personal gain.

When this war started and many ran away to Mizoram, Manipur had to be internet shut down for peace whilst Mizoram was freely spreading whatever they wanted.

what is your opinion about the current tenants of Manipur and the Assam border situation?

[30/07, 4:56 pm] The people of our state are fighting others, only trying to protect our land, is this so wrong? They (Kukis) could have lived in harmony but now we only see we gave them safety and they took it as a chance to take our land for themselves and make a new state. They (Kukis) never deserved to be in Manipur in the first place. Since they have no insults to come up they make fun of our food. Any tribe who grew up in Manipur grew up eating the same food as us. If they sneer at it isn't it easily known they aren't indigenous people. Why wouldn't we know better? We live here, we know and we see, so why are our words taken lightly. The rally of all communities here asking for removal of narco terrorists spoke volumes already. The people of this nation needs to learn history if they want to take sides. Talking without knowledge is hurting us here. Their people (Kukis) and our people (Meiteis) are in refugee camps. It's not just them going through it. Even yesterday there was a bomb attack, it was numbered and suspicioned as only used by this country's forces giving us further reason to ask Assam rifles to leave. How can we live in peace when armed militants keep coming in and fighting the civilians here who never learnt how to use a weapon. Isn't it normal we try our best to survive too? They may cry and complain and show their suffering but the militants are their people. They just can't come and ask we give away our land.

Do you think that in the current scenario about the r*pe case committed by the Meitei tribe, the side of Meiteis are being subdued?

It takes women getting molested to wake the nation up, the case is not true by the way. We are against what happened too but this nation is suddenly trending us when it particularly revolves around r*pe. We didn't see all that in r*pe cases that happened to our people in the mainlands. It happens here (Manipur) and suddenly they are shocked and shaken.

Safety is another thing. We feel like the whole world is against us now. It's so stressful. We know what the celebrities are sharing to their mass followers and it's affecting our mental health here. People might think it's nothing to worry about, but it's everything to worry about.

We know the men from this community commited a grave crime. But the nation knows because of the video. How many videos and how many incidents are there that aren't recorded. No one cares. They are busy calling us names. In their protests they called our community r*pists. It's so hard to watch the news and everything. We stopped talking about it among our friends too. I have wifi but I'm scared to go online

We too have things we can't share anymore because we are warned and not allowed to post. We are forced to look like the bad guys.

[27/07/2023 9:55pm] Our news stay local while theirs (Kukis) go international. So they are having fun victim playing while eyeing our land . Also do the media know we have people missing, a 17 year old girl is missing too, a bomb blasted yesterday and the boy is in special care because 1/4th his skull got exploded i don't know if he'll live.

They rewrote our history and made it theirs, and this country chose to focus on the crime against the women and ignored the deaths. They are both crimes against humanity why is one worse than the other? Some of our friends staying outside got shamed for being meitei. They'll win this war after we all die only, so they can go on and on.

We'll never get internet back until they stop burning houses and killing people.

How has this ongoing war affected your private life?

I lost my pup a week ago. I got so upset my temperature dropped and i got sick with fever and threw up right after i got better too. I have nothing to cope and I don't wanna draw anymore but i did finish some novels. We never get any good updates too.

Been how many years since I’ve check my tumblr. I deleted my previous reblogs and posts just to save my face from my shameless posting. If I can remember it clearly, last thing I blogged was about someone who I’ve met and dated for four months that never bloomed into a full relationship. My friend saw it and I’m in total shame for doing that embarrassing confession which I thought at first was love, but I never got hints it was just a f*cking infatuation. Oh well, that’s my first try doing a heart check and it was a total failure.

Nothing really interests me in going back here. Words, i mean, structured and concrete words is not my thing. But anyway, here I am revisiting this old wack blogging site. It’s just that the world is anticipating Twitter’s crackdown in coming months or so as Elon Musk’s maneuvering skills is risking the platform’s integrity downhill. Since 2009, twitter has been my outlet. I just blurt out anything non-sense i wanna say on that site and now it will be gone. Twitter will be surely missed.

Alrighty then. Maybe this is a good start doing sh*tposting again here. This is, let’s just say it is, my first post here. Amen.
