The conservative newspaper run by Falun Gong, and the other one run by the Moonies, makes me think of what a weird artifact the Christian Science Monitor is.

Christian Science is the group that disbelieves in all modern medicine, and preaches prayer instead (mysteriously their membership numbers are in regular freefall). So naturally, their newspaper is...a respected, largely secular and reliable institution that's won seven Pulitzers? How on Earth did that happen

(the answer is that their founder created it as part of a feud with...Joseph Pulitzer?)

(also they are a unreliable cult propaganda rag when it comes to medical news, which makes the Pulitzers even weirder)
