RE!n is essentially an "everything's the same but _" au up until dragons rising. Everything's the same but Zane has Changed in Ways They Do Not Understand after s11 but he's intentionally adhering to the timeline. He'll randomly let someone live or escape, just mumbling things about the future and timelines. Then Dragons Rising happens and his entire being just goes no. However I have decided that I like the plot of DR so s1 gets to stay
