Lark dreams of the Doodler more frequently than he’d like.

Often, his dreams end up meaningless, and he barely remembers them when he wakes. More often, he simply prefers to avoid sleeping so that when he does, he sleeps soundly without dreaming at all. His family doesn’t exactly like his poor habits, but they’ve never stopped him, nor could they.

This dream is different, though. Lark realizes it the moment he realizes he’s dreaming in the first place.
