Update 10/7/23: Eepy puppy was too eepy to add a little headcanon so lemme further add on to this :D Betty loves a good chase and Simon, well, he sucks at 'getting away' and is easily caught. So rather than going for the kill, Betty teases him and the anticipation is worse on Simon than the actual chase so this 'encourages' him to get the heck outta dodge for as long as he can.

Funny little tidbit he's picked up, instead of running he tries, and gawd does he fight his instincts, not to run because Betty has this hot wire instinct to chase her husband down to the ends of the earth to get him back in her arms. But this can also be an agonizing dilemma for both parties, mainly Simon, because it means he suffers the lingering presence of his wife 'stalking' him and jabbing at his back to trigger a sprint And for Betty, she doesn't want to end the fun when her 'prey' is within reach haha

Can’t stop thinking abt Lucius taking care of a suuuuuuper small Izzy while the rest of the crew is given their other daily tasks. Izzy had been small for a good few days, and Lucius had already finished cleaning up his notes for the morning, so Stede tells him to take Izzy down to the cabin and entertain him while things on deck are being taken care of. He loves his big brother !! They play peekaboo and take a nap together, Lucius even gets a few sketches of him in,,, gahhhh just baby Izzy being so clingy w Lucius after too !!!!

What little spoilers can you give us about Yuunosuke?

Since I don’t have anything proper drawn of him you gotta settle with this crappy doodle of him! xD. That I made ages ago , please forgive me ;w;! 

Yuu is a very quiet and awkward kid sometimes , he likes to blabber about Egyptian fun facts and other stuff quite a lot when he feels the conversation going dull . He actually uses a lot of Egyptian facts in his daily speech xD.

Yuu is Half Japanese and half Egyptian. He has his father’s eyes and hair color  and his mother’s light skin tone.

His mother died from an ‘unknown’ sickness , that only his father knows what exactly it is , but refuses to tell Yuu anything about it.

Yuu and his father’s original surnames are changed when moving into Morioh , because of past (personal) reasons. His father used to work for the Speedwagon foundation , he isn’t really a stand user but he is well known of their history and knows a lot of secrets. He is afraid that the fate that struck his wife will one day come after his son , he wanted to give him a decent life.

Yuu’s father actually helped the Crusaders a lot during his younger days .

Yuu becomes a stand user at a very young age , he got shot by a ‘stand arrow’ in one of the temples that he and his father were exploring to find something certain , activating a trap that caused to shoot something , and that something was a stand arrow . Yuu pushed his father out of the way of harm , however getting pierced by it awoken his stand later on. He went through various of medication since he ended up having a really bad fever that almost killed him , but he managed to survive and gain a stand. 

Yuu along with his father and mother are really big on adventuring , when it came to ancient tombs and historical events , they often travel a lot . Yuu’s father and mother basically met on a archeological expedition during research on ancient artifacts .

Circle of Dust ability : Like it’s name , it can turn things into dust (sand) it can be good for a defensive mechanism cause he can make parts of himself turn into sand avoiding critical damage . He can turn parts of his opponent into sand during combat , he can also turn them entirely into dust , but that doesn’t mean they are gone forever , it means that when it’s out of the range of his ability , the person will slowly start to re-attach. 

Around the age of 20 years old he goes into college to achieve his dream , to become like his father (Before retiring completely , His father becomes a professor in that specializes in ancient History about the world and later becomes a simple delivery man when moving to Morioh , to hide his true identity. ) . He does accomplish a lot at a young age , he becomes first an assistant to a professor that specializes in ‘Spiritology’ (He is going to make a cameo in my main story <3 and this so called professor is the exact same shaman lady I mentioned in one of my posts :3. ) . He still needs a lot of tweaks thought!! I have to think upon his story a whole lot oof-... I might include him in my main canon verse perhaps , maybe have a friend for Joelle during those years <3. Who knows~.  - Cards.

Hey! Just wanted to drop by and say I really love your art and seeing your content! Along with the ideas you speak of sometimes. It's so nice to see because it looks like you enjoy what you do. It's an inspiration, really. I also wanted to ask, what's your inspiration? And what keeps you motivated? And this next one might be a bit personal, but do you have moments of self doubt? How do you deal with it?

Hi! First of all, thanks a lot for the ask, I don’t get personal questions about my art very often, so it’s very cool to see that some people are actual people and not porn bots, and are actually interested in the things I post!

Now for the actual ask, which I’ll totally have to divide into parts. I’ll also set a cut because it got hella long. Now, let’s go!

I have a very bad habit of word vomiting whenever I post art. It’s not only ever since I’ve started binge drawing Zesty fanart, I’ve pretty much always been like this ever since I started posting art on the internet about… 12 years ago at the very least?It used to be a lot of musing about the art itself (like, “what do you think, should I have tried this or that?” or “I had trouble with this thing” or “I actually like how whatever turned out”), which is probably due to the fact that teenage me had still a lot to learn and wasn’t afraid to admit that and ask for advice. I mostly posted my art online to get some peer advice.Nowadays, I am still aware of my shortcomings, but I don’t talk about the technical aspects of my art that often anymore. Nowadays, I have two reasons for posting art online: 1) I’m trying to make a living out of this shit, so naturally I’m trying to make as many people as possible aware of the fact that I exist. 2) I just wanna talk about the thing ™. Honestly. Never underestimate either of these points. That’s why there’s very often so much text and ranting in the tags. Because. I. want. to. talk. about. the. thing. I have an unholy amount of sticky notes on my desktop with ideas of things I’d either like to do because I think it would be subjectively cool, or because it might be a good addition to my portfolio. (spoilers: the former usually gets done like a decade earlier)I’m very glad that the sparks fly over and it shows that I love the things I love! ♥The result is novel-length descriptions for single sketches and tag vomit, though, lol.

“I also wanted to ask, what’s your inspiration?”

There’s no easy answer to that. First of all, it sounds a bit as if I was actively looking for inspiration. Which I am not. As I said, I rather have too many ideas and end up scrapping an unholy amount because even if I only do doodle shitpost sketches there’s no way I can do it all in a lifetime. I don’t know whether you had been implying that I actively look for inspiration or not, but if you did, let me tell you that I don’t. If you didn’t mean to imply that, no harm done.However, that doesn’t mean I don’t GET any. Because of course I get my inspiration from all kinds of places. I don’t watch a lot of movies, but I love going to the cinema and hearing the sounds and get eye candy (I love epic shots with the camera panning over landscapes and cool action scenes. Also, go watch The Secret of Kells, everyone). I always come out of blockbuster movies feeling like I wanna do something epic, too. I always listen to a whole lot of music, too, and there’s way too many songs that make me want to tell stories, and that plant pictures in the cinema in my head.(there was a time before Tales of Zestiria when I did original art and most of my paintings had some kind of musical inspiration lol. My stories, too).

Then there’s style and subject matter.Style first. I stopped aiming for a specific style pretty early on (like, late teens), and just accepted what came to me and works for me. The result is the weird anime not quite anime semi realism mixture that I have going, and the ratio usually varies depending on what I currently want to do. If I gave you a list of my favorite artists, you’d probably be surprised how little my own art has in common with theirs.Subject matter? WELLLLLL my original stuff comes from what I told you above, additionally, I studied medieval literature for a reason, and I loved mythological tales from my teenage years onwards. I’m much less enthusiastic about them now, but it used to influence my original art for quite a few years.…Also, I obviously like to do fanart. Like, a lot.

Also spoilers: I obviously love Zesty a tiny bit too much, because for no other fandom the streak of fanart has ever been holding up for two years and still counting without an end in sight, and I’ve never come up with any AUs, either. Usually my ideas went straight into original material, and this original material usually got top priority, but here it’s different, and I’m not sure whether it’s a good or a bad thing, haha. So basically don’t wait for my original stories* until I’m either a) done with the Zesty fandom or they’ve united and kicked me out or b) I’ve actually drawn at least four more full scale elaborate illustrations, have created the four or five AUs that I keep doodling for and ranting about, and I have finally run out of steam. Bets are up what happens first.

If you want specifics, it’s always easier to determine inspiration for a particular piece than in general. It can be so many different things.

* Although I still very, very much like some of my ideas and would actually love to do them. I just love to do low-effort Zesty fanart more XD. Shocking! But honestly, I am as surprised as anyone else that my muses shifted as much as they have, and mid-twenties me would never have guessed she’d fall into this rabbit hole in no time…

“And what keeps you motivated?”

I never… really needed to push myself to be motivated. It’s always been intrinsic. I had pictures in my head, I wanted them out. So I had to learn how, and do it. I have ideas in my head. I want to share them. I very much like this thing others have made. I want to tell the entire world how much I love it, so I do by drawing fanart. Simple as that.Positive responses (and asks like this!!) are a great motivator to POST art, but not to DO the art. The latter is intrinsic.Actually, probably TOO intrinsic. Because I keep drawing the things I WANT to draw and not those which would teach me new skills and thus help with “make money with art” thing. So I guess it’s a bit of a mixed bag, haha.I started drawing daily instead of just regularly at some point during my master’s studies, so roughly 8-5 years ago? Whenever I’m on the road or beaten by illness or bad feelings, I sometimes only manage very simple, super bad sketches, but it’s better than nothing. Luckily, it’s not like that every day (still more often that I’d like to, though).

If you’re wondering:Yes, I’ve had artblocks. Usually not in the sense of “I don’t have ideas”, but VERY MUCH in the sense of “I don’t feel like any of the ideas I have right now” and also “nothing I touch turns out the way I want it to turn out”. To all artists out there: it goes away. Believe me. Your stupid period will be over next week (to the guys out there: that’s not a joke. It DOES affect my general condition). It will be better the moment YOU feel better from whatever you’re currently suffering from.Yes, I’ve also scrapped ideas not because I didn’t like them after all, but because I tried and just failed repeatedly at executing them. Yes, I’ve had such bad times in life that I didn’t want to do ANYTHING. That included art. I just. didn’t. want. to. do. anything. Sometimes I still have these phases, but at least it no longer lasts for months straight without break.

“And this next one might be a bit personal, but do you have moments of self doubt?”

Pfft. Of course. Show me an artist who hasn’t. I’ve learned by now that you can acquire every skill you want. The question is whether you have the time and the will for it. If I had started drawing daily much earlier in life, and if I’d practiced more of the things I’m not good at instead of doodle shitposting, I’d be at an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT level than I am now. Even if I had STILL studied what I studied as I did (as I said, medieval literature, nothing art related). I’ve been drawing ever since I could hold a pencil and my parents have always been supportive, so that wasn’t a problem, I just wasn’t aware all these years that it could be something future me might want. Past me couldn’t have KNOWN. It’s okay, in a way. I can do the things I WANT to do by now. Not always as majestically as the ideas deserve, but it does the job. I don’t need to be able to do hyper realistic portraits, or hyper detailed interiors of space ships, for example. (it would be cool to be able to draw musical instruments tho. I’d love to learn 2D animation, too, but WHEN??) In short, am I aware that I’m not god and that my skills are limited in comparison to many other artists? Yes. Is that a problem? No.Do I doubt whether I can do my job, though? Very much yes. Because successful freelance artists don’t only need skill, they need to sell themselves, and I suck at that most epically. Do I miss the times when I didn’t even think about becoming better but simply drew for fun? Pretty much, yeah. Do I miss the times when I still had the ability to concentrate on elaborate, large paintings? Yes, I do. But I can’t turn my brain back to 10 year old. So I’ll have to deal with what I have now.

If you’re wondering whether I had moments of self doubt about my ideas, then, yes, very super much yes. I am convinced that the things you produce should be what YOU want to see. I want to draw what I want and tell the stories I WANT TO SEE AND READ. As I said, I’m doing it because I want these things to exist. Does it still hurt if nobody else likes these ideas? Yes, yes it does very much. It’s not even that I start thinking my ideas were bad, but that I start thinking “Nobody understands me and nobody will ever be able to like me because they don’t like my ideas, and my ideas are part of me”. Which is true, but it is ALSO true that you do not have to like every single idea some other person has to like them or be friends with them, I am aware of that, but if I may be honest here, it’s still a thought that I can’t quite get rid of, and still gets me angsty whenever I share some of my story ideas with anyone.

“How do you deal with it?”

I don’t. Ahem. Truth be told, I never really developed a proper coping mechanism for failures, and I don’t exactly like that about myself, but I still haven’t found a proper solution. As much as I stress that I do the things I do because I actually want to, I also told you that it scares me to see people disagreeing. It’s not only art related, whenever I feel I messed something up (school ie. marks, socialisation, whatever), it eats at me for days or even weeks until something positive happens (like, better marks, a compliment, anything). I don’t really like it, mostly because it starts a vicious cycle, but that’s how it is. I had surprisingly little problems with that during my university years because I had good marks, but I still mess up at least 50% of all the social interaction I do. It’s not always that easy with art, either.Story time.I remember one conversation with an artist who’s teaching art classes at my (ex) university, like, portrait drawings and flower paintings. So at some point when I started trying to live on art, I asked her whether she’d be interested in offering classes for other art styles as well, like comic drawing classes. She said she’d be interested, so I wanted to talk to her in person, but she never replied to that email reply. I decided to be bold for once, grabbed my portfolio, and went to her after one of her classes to show her what I’m doing. Put on the spot, she admitted that she didn’t reply any further because she didn’t like what I was doing. It was good from a technical aspect, but it seemed dull and uninspired to her, like something she had seen too many times already.I was devastated.I’ve always had to deal with underwhelming responses from peers and friends, too, but I also got some really sweet reactions and genuine support, so it was kind of a mixed bag, overall. I wasn’t used to that kind of harsh rejection of who I am.

Am I also very, VERY petty and jealous? Hell, yes. I get VERY jealous whenever I see people whose art is on my level or below but they still manage to make money with it, and have 10-100 times the amount of followers I have and/or get more enthusiastic responses online. It just makes me angry. The only way of coping I’ve ever found is stay the fuck away. I KNOW that it’s not these people’s fault if I’m jealous, and goddamn, freelance artist life is hard enough as it is. We don’t need to tear other apart. Surely they worked their asses off to be where they are. Heck, I’m friends with some. I keep away from those people so I can calm down and stop being angry, before I start lashing out at artists just because they get the attention they need and deserve. It’s not THEIR fault that I need money and also reassurance.

The only thing that ever worked for me to overcome any of these issues is just continue nevertheless. Keep doing what you’re doing. Remember what you love and why and JUST KEEP DOING IT. Even if you don’t see the point right now. Chances are you will see that point again. Maybe you never will. But IF you ever do, you want to make damn sure that you didn’t drop the ball in the meantime. There’s that saying that you can lose if you fight, but you can’t win if you never fight. It’s true. Be stubborn and show the world your middle finger.Spoilers: I’m teaching comic style drawing classes for the “rivaling” institute now. Always only in super small groups and it’s badly paid, so I don’t know for how long I’ll be able to keep it up, but it’s a start, right?

I was tagged by @bohemiansunflowerz​ for this little Q&A piece. It’s been honest years since I’ve done one, and I love the questions to this, so let’s give it a shot, hm?

What’s your favourite song(s) to sing/hum? It depends on what I’ve been listening to recently. Adam Labert (Evil in the Night or The Original High), Lady Gaga (Donatella), Todrick Hall (Low and Lyin’ to Myself), and Janelle Monae (Django Jane and Yoga) are some of the more recent ones that have been floating through my head. But I always seem to go back to a couple of melodies regardless how long it’s been since I heard them: Route 3 and the Bicycle Theme from Pokemon Red/Blue are my instant go-to melodies whenever I want to hum something. If I want to sing something, I usually have my brain pull up Tsubasa wa Pleasure Line by Kuribayashi Minami (opening theme to Chrono Crusade), Dreams, Dreams from NiGHTs into Dreams, or Pokemon Johto’s Theme Song. Literally been humming/singing these last few for well over a decade. Never fails if I need a melody to pull up without thought.

What’s your favourite flower/tree/plant? Very hard to say. For all that I love nature, I never had anyone to teach me about individual species, so I know only the common names and appearances. But I love trees most of all plants. They always spoke to me (literally and otherwise). I always felt a connection and awe of them, like they were beings that looked on on us wandering creatures and saw so much, knew and know so much. They’re the original royalty of this world; them and the mountains and waters and winds of this planet. I love them so much. It’s always been my plan to sit down and educate myself about different species of plants. Flowers and trees especially. Someday soon, I hope I can learn more, and finally get in touch with the side of me that has always been in love with them, that always saw them as my blood and kin.

Favourite colours? Grey. But, I have combinations that I love specifically. Browns and greens, blues and whites and greys and blacks, sands. I love earthen colors and water colors. But I also love vibrant rainbows of every single color, rippling in a melody from one shade into the other. I’m pulled to rainbows like moth to flame. And when you have those brilliant neons on a pitch black or dark grey or deep brown background? Ugh. My eyes draw to that so quickly. I love them all. But over time, definitely can say grey is my favorite, and the entire myriad of rainbow hues out there is loved right after it.

What do you always doodle? I do patterns. Spikes and curves and spears and circles, and then I color them in. I don’t have an example of it sadly. Everything’s packed away right now, but I also doodle faces, usually female since I never put in effort to teach myself male structure (something I once again have always planned to remedy but haven’t yet), and I love drawing dragons and horses, also-- hair. Love, love, love drawing hair.

How do you take your coffee/tea? Tea usually just with sugar, though I like oolongs plain. But I love most teas. Earl greys, lavender is a favorite, english breakfast black tea is my most common, with sugar. Drink that almost daily. Coffee I have to take with sugar and lots of creamer, because I do not like the taste of coffee. However, I fucking loooove the way it smells. But I drink both. I crave tea 95-98% of the time. Coffee I’ll drink because it’s more filling and helps to add to my meals.

Favourite candle scent? Evergreens and pines, hands down. Also anything with cinnamon. I really enjoy vanilla scents too, and, as always, lavender. But the evergreens/pines are my favorite. It makes me feel at peace. I also love woodsmoke, but it’s hard to find candles that capture that scent properly.

Sunrise or sunset? It’s hard to choose. I think sunrises, because it means I get to be in that wonderful time when the world is still asleep, and you get to see the sky wake up gradually, and the world around you come slowly into view in these shadows and shades of grey, until colors begin to take form. Sunsets are fine, but they blind my eyes more often than they ever are something I’ve enjoyed. But if you catch a sunset on a cloudy day and you have a clear view of the horizon-- oh, now that’s something beautiful. The colors are always so much more powerful than those I’ve seen in sunrises. So I love sunrises for being able to see the waking earth, but I love sunsets for admiring the sky as it paints itself before night comes.

What perfume do you wear? There’s this perfume I love called Kissing in the Rain that reminds me of my partner and it’s probably my favorite. There was also this grapefruit one that just smelled delicious but it’s been discontinued for a while I think. So, no luck with that anymore. Both are Walmart buys, if you’re ever looking.

What’s your go-to dance move when you’re alone? Ah shit... it’s been so long since I’ve danced at all. I don’t really have or do dance moves? I mean, as a joke I always turn to Stayin’ Alive’s disco moves or to The Monkey from Johnny Bravo, but otherwise I’m terrible at dancing. XD It doesn’t help that I’m usually waaaay too self-conscious about it to ever really try to dance. Ironically enough the one dance type I feel comfortable in is line dancing, like Cotton Eyed Joe and the Cupid Shuffle and that type of shit. X3 Electric Boogaloo and whatnot~ Look, I grew up around a lot of Hispanics and if you see them dance you almost instantly develop a horrible fear of your own dancing capabilities. *Laughs* Because they’re usually fucking excellent at it and never look like they need to try.

Favourite quote? This one. It’s not a well-known quote, per se, but I’ve been quoting the last part of this poem ever since I read it here on Tumblr. It speaks to and of my very being and purpose in this world, so I can not stop drawing from its power. Specifically, this part: “if you could retell the tale wouldn’t you want to tell it kinder? wouldn’t you want to give them peace, even love, where you could?“ I don’t really have any quote that stands out over all others, but I do have a tag specifically for quotes that resonate with me in some way or another. Favourite self care routine(s)? Showering, walking, listening to music, cleaning my environment (inside the house). If I don’t have neatness, I clean and organize. If I can’t think, I listen to music since it’s hard to walk like I used to up north. If I feel low energy, I take a shower or make myself a hot cup of tea. Those almost always help. Oh. But I also watch a lot of YouTube or streamers on Twitch. What’s your favourite eye colour on others? I don’t really have a favorite. I love all eye colors. I think the ones that always shock me the most though are the ones that are really, really green or really, really white/icy/grey colors. Those are just stunning to look at. But how can I choose? It’s like making me pick a favorite color out of the all the colors of the rainbow again. I love how brown eyes always hide different undertones that reveal gemstone hues. They have reds and golds and greens and all sorts of magical veins of color in them and the ones that are pure brown still have these rich shades that make you feel like you’re looking at the sun or at precious stones. I just-- fuck I love colors. XD They’re all beautiful.

What does your happy place look like? New York City. It’s NYC. My home. ...I miss it. My other happy place is somewhere I miss too. A cottage in the mountains, in the middle of the forest. Trees all around a clearing. A single road leading to the house there. Mountains all around. ...quiet, alone, peace. I have two happy places, and I long for them both, all the time. The only other happy place I have is my car. Just... being on the road, driving, especially at night. It’s the only peace I have access to these days.

Favourite breed of dog? Okay so if dogs = colors, my answer again would be all breeds = rainbow. I grew up/was raised by a german shepherd so I’m very partial to that breed in particular, and I adore corgies-- I think they’re adorable as fuck. But I love big dog breeds like Irish Wolfhounds, Alaskan Malamutes. I’m a sucker for all dogs though. All of them. No dog is a bad dog. Ever. They’re all precious puppies and I adore every single breed and mix and other. <333

Do you ever want to be married? If so, what colors would you pick for your wedding theme? Well, ironically, never did want that no. I didn’t want to be married, didn’t even want any relationships. Never saw myself dating. Never saw myself having a partner or anything like that. Fucking surprise, surprise. Now I have a partner--have had one for quite some time. Extra surprise, we eloped. So no proper wedding. Sorry. Our families fucking hate us so it would be a waste of time and money-- a huge waste of time and money-- but I think if we did colors this time, black and red, probably. Them in black, me in red. Just to flip off the douchebags in our lives that never stop telling us how much they hate their own kids, their partners, and think it’s been a mistake for us to be with each other from day fucking one. *Laughs* If we ever did have a proper wedding, I think we might have done it with a green or black theme though. ☠ : Are there any recent/daily thoughts they have about death or dying?

Not really? Granted as things progress in the academy, she might get a couple of thoughts about dying (Considering nearly everyone dies when Yubel’s trying to get at Jaden), but for the most part she doesn’t give much thought to it.

☯ : Do they believe for every darkness there is a lightness? If not, why?

She does, but at first it’s not something she gave much thought to. The first couple of years she was in the academy, she firmly believed that for everything negative that happened, something good would come after, but she never really dweled on it. But after the events with Yubel, her views started to change; she became a light to counteract a darkness: Jaden. She made herself into his good thing, his companion and partner and refused to leave his side, even when he’s distant. She really, truly believes in there being a light for every darkness by that point, and swears by it.

♥ : Name one thing about the way their emotions work that they despise.

The fact she can’t control herself too well around boys, Chazz and Jaden aside. It’s not even for any huge reason, she’s just awkward around them and she hates that. So far, only Jaden and Chazz have managed to get past those walls, and only Jaden is close enough to actually touch her without her turning into a prickly, flustered mess, which just proves it can be overcome~

Depends on who she’s with, really. If she’s on her own or stuck with her (actual XD) roommates, she’s bound to either just stay in bed, read a good action novel, or just putter about her room doing something small and random until she gets bored enough to stare out the window.

If she’s with a friend, things are totally different; she’ll make everything bright and happy inside, come up with a bunch of games to play, make something up, tell stories - And if she’s hiding out with Jaden you best be sure they’re either dueling, talking, messing around, or snoozing. XD

Clear skies, but she likes storms, too. They make her sleepy.

Thunderstorms are soothing to her and make her sleepy, but really strong storms are a no go. She likes the sea, too, and rives; anywhere she can listen to the water flow, and anything she can climb. She’s also pretty against raging rivers (Less listening to water, more ‘Don’t touch that it’ll sweep you away’ worries), really overgrown, bug-infested areas, and crickets. Especially in the summer, when they’re at their loudest.

Jaden, her parents, Chazz. Neku and her parents in her TWEWY verse. SHe’s… Really got nobody else.

Another depends, who’s giving them to her? In the case of a hated teacher *coughCrowlercough* she’s more likely to snark right back and turn into the most prickly of porcupines. If it’s a teacher likes/is neutral towards, then it really depends on the order, where she’ll huff and puff over something like “Scrub the corm from top to bottom” but willingly accept anything less.. Huge. If the order is coming from a friend, or Jaden late in their academy days, she’s more prone to listen and weigh her options before replying, but it still depends then on the order itself - Unreasonable gets a less snarky and prickly comeback, but she’ll still argue, otherwise she’ll just take it.

☢ : Describe a thought or dream that would cause them to have a mental meltdown.

A dream would be coming back home to find her parents gone without a trace, or, god forbid, dead for whatever reason (natural causes or not). A frequent nightmare in her last year at the academy is losing Jay to his darkness and being unable to convince him to break free of it, and always has her waking up in a frantic panic and looking for him, so she can make sure he’s still there and himself.

As for thoughts, thinking of failing her finals at the end of the year can make her crack fairly hard (she so doesn’t want to be held back XD), and losing her friends for whatever reason will shatter her. And if you tell her her family’s in trouble back home.. Nope. You’ve lost her.

✄ : Are there any reasons why they would ever think of self-harm? If so, what are they?

No. She’d never harm herself. The closest thing she’s ever gotten to a thought like that is being willing to sacrifice her everything to keep Jaden safe.

❤ : Describe a physical action that shows complete trust.

Snuggling up to someone. Aoi is fairly affectionate to begin with with her friends, and walking around with her hugging your arm or hip-bumping a friend is pretty normal. But with the people she trusts completely, with everything in her, she’s the most affectionate and will snuggle up to them, be them male or female, leaning against them and allowing them to do as they please to her. Her guard is dropped completely. In Jaden’s case, she’ll even lay on him, sleep on his shoulder, what have you - She’s showing herself, allowing them to see her completely unguarded.

❥ : Describe a verbal way they would express complete trust.

By saying it, for one, but she also starts divulging secrets. Crushes, things about her family, childhood memories - all things she wouldn’t just tell anyone. She’ll even relax with them and can go from bubbly, bright, and perky, to more calm and sweet, and right back.

✗ : Explain how they portray feelings of hostility or dislike.

This is a fairly common thing for her to show, actually. Depending on the level of hostility and dislike, she can go from just being a snarky, prickly porcupine who can be highly sarcastic and snappy and do everything you tell her not to do, to flat out wanting to punch you in the face and actually trying to. The worst she’s been is in her Darurura!! verse, where she actively tries to smash Izaya’s face into a cinderblock at every given opportunity.

⊗ : What is something that causes them to question themself?

Being questioned herself, for one. If you seriously question her and her morals/ideals/anything with some real conviction behind it, she might snark at you… But after a few minutes she’ll start to really question herself, and put some real thought into it.

For another thing, having things brought up in an argument she’s losing. Jaden after the events with Yubel snapping at her and arguing over her staying beside him will inevitebly make her stop and think and question herself. She’s gonna stand by him anyway though.

☾ : On a sleepless night, what would they be found doing?

If rolling around and huffing at the wall isn’t helping, she’ll usually try to do something to distract herself. This generally amounts to checking messages on her PDA, reading, flipping through her deck, thinking up new strategies- I she’s not already in his room, she’ll go to Jaden and see if he’s having trouble sleeping, too (he’s usually out cold XD) and curl up beside him. If that STILL doesn’t work, she’ll stick her head under a pillow and whine.

☤ : Is there anything about their health they are continuously on edge about? Something they disregard?

She’s alergic to papaya, and while she normally wouldn’t give much thought to it, the academy is on a practically tropical island. Papaya can sneak in to just about anything, so she’s always on alert for it. Otherwise, she’s only prone to sneezing fits when there’s a lot of pollen, but she’s not really alergic to it, just sensitive.

Jaden and Chazz. Chazz might not admit it (nor would she admit it for him, really), but their friendship is close enough that she’d go to bat for him without hesitation, and he knows it.

❣: Describe a way that will earn affection (whether platonic or romantic) from them.

Be there for her. Be friendly with her. Be kind. Help her with things. Let her get close to you on her own time (Or just be Jaden) and she’ll end up as an affectionate and bubbly friend. If you’re looking for romantic affection, again just be Jaden then don’t push away her platonic affections and let her see who you really are. Let her in and let her see who you are at your core. Trust her.

✖ : Describe a way to make them uneasy or apprehensive.

Be a male. XD No seriously- Aside from Jaden and Chazz, Aoi does not do well with men in general. They make her flustered and uneasy, and she won’t let them physically close to her. Also coming at her with a wicked grin, acting like you’re going to hurt her or her friends, actually hurt her friends, insult/taunt/tease (in ways that really AREN’T friendly jabs) her, or just generally be a jerk and come at her in the most unfriendly way possible. She’s bound to slap you senseless.

♆ : Are they prone to violent outbursts or thoughts?

Not unless you really push her buttons. Izaya in her Darurura!! verse is a special case; he’s always trying to push her into snapping, worming his way into her head and under her skin until all she wants to do is make him shut up… And if that involves hitting him in the face with a cinderblock then so be it. Otherwise, she’s pretty good at keeping this at a snarky teen level - but she will push your buttons HARD in return.

✏ : What are their creative outlets?

Dueling, doodling, coming up with games to play with her friends, harmless pranks on people…

✉ : Do they tend to rely on words or actions more?

Both. When you can’t make a move, a word can mean a lot, and usually she can react based on the emotion and tone put into it, given the situation and person speaking (”I hate you” from Chazz in the middle of a tag duel is going to be taken as encouragement and reminding her to play better, even if he snaps it, because she knows him too well). But when words are useless, actions certainly speak louder than them.

♡ : Is there a certain scent that brings about nostalgia? If so, describe a memory this scent brings back.

The smell of sawdust. When she was a kid, her father would mess around with woodcarving and woodworking, and she’d often sneak in to watch him. He’d show her things and sit her on his lap while he carved, but by the time she was 8, had to give it up when work and life got too demanding. The mere smell of sawdust makes her remember sitting on his lap and watching him work a bit of wood into some kind of figure, and she misses those days.

۞: Are there any inner demons they can never seem to get rid of? What are they?

She has one that tells her rather often “You’re useless” and usually rears its head around exam time. No matter what she does, she’s not at her best because of it. Her ‘Slifer Slacker’ mentality surprisingly has nothing to do with this, though - she’s just a dork who hates homework. XD
