To be fair the dialogue immediately after is less romantic:

Specifically the way she speculates about Jean's response. And Mondstadt is so friendly and tight-knit (and Jean so hard-working and beloved) that I can't say whether she's being excessive if it's platonic.

But still! Surely the writers knew how the first half would be read. It's plausible for this to have been added for the sake of evading censorship.
