maybe this is a hot take but i think that characters in stories should be analyzed as what they are (for example, cisgender or heterosexual) before you divorce them from that with headcanon. even just to acknowledge the creator's intent with the character & immediately toss it aside.

i love headcanoning and i LOVE making shit up as much as the next tumblr user but i think that there are Things to be gained when you analyze why the creator/author/director/whatever made them like that in the first place. afterwards you can do whatever you want who cares, transgenderification beam

#this IS mostly about headcanoning characters as lgbtq #though take it with a grain of salt because sometimes characters are cishet because their creators are disgusting people so! shrug #this applies to many cr characters for me. fjord & beau in particular #i see the story that travis + marisha were telling about male/female gender roles & stuff. its great. but i like to make it transgender ^_^#ramblings
