As a new Boygenius and Muna fan, scenarios with both groups are just in my head like wild fire ( my notes app is crying. )

And since you’ve asked for our thoughts, I thought I’d share this with you.

I am nervous cuz I don’t really send asks even if they’re anon so I hope this is good :b Also i’m so sorry for the length omg

Whether or not it’s just boygenius, muna, or both bands are on stage at the same time. You are not safe backstage. They have so much love to give, why would you be?

Let me paint the scene for you.

You, the bestfriend of munagenius, a solo artist who does write songs and poetry, but especially loves being crafty. Paintings, drawings, origami, etc. ( I’m saying this because of a different scenario I’ve thought of with Munagenius having an artist!friend, maybe I’ll drop that thought here later 👀)

While you are known for your solo work, you’re also known for the shenanigans you, the boys, and muna get up to.

So since you tend to tag along on tours and gigs, it’s not uncommon for you to be side stage or backstage at their shows. You’re just there being so proud of your bestfriends and how hard they’ve worked to get to where they are.

The crowd doesn’t always know you’re there until they accidentally see you, hear you, or you get pulled on stage, which is not uncommon.

Now imagine both groups are on stage just preforming and rocking their little hearts out as usual. And then the shenanigans start.

The dancing on each other, the kissing, they’re running around the stage, etc, etc.

You’re just there watching them, not really being phased cuz the behavior is normal to you, hell a good chunk of the time you join in, or you gay panic, either or.

So maybe you just stay right there at the side of the stage and watch, maybe you go backstage for whatever reason.

Then… one or two of the people on stage remembers, in the midst of their adrenaline high, that you’re there. Just seeing all this unfold, now all of them have much love to give, obviously they show it to you time and time again, so why not show their love for you, their dear bestfriend, on stage?

Either one of them, two of them, maybe a few more of them just suddenly run backstage to get you.

For this I’m gonna say that the two who decided to go after you was Julien and Jo right, it was not long after they had their little moment ( the one where Jules did the knee thing to Jo? yeah) and all of a sudden they just give each other a look.

Next thing you know they’re running to the side of the stage, confusing the crowd and the rest of the members of their bands cuz why tf did they just bolt like that?

The band members are just looking in confusion, until they slowly smile as they see you being borderline manhandled and dragged onto the stage.

Maybe you tried to run once you saw the two rush towards you, knowing what was about to happen. That wasn’t gonna work cuz regardless of which friend it is they always end up catching you.

Which they did, now you, being shorter than Jo but just a bit taller than julien, is currently being tussled on stage by the both of them(When I tell you, you get caught in seconds when you try to run, idk why you still try)

the crowd is in an uproar of laughs and screams, cuz it’s not like their fans don’t know who you are, you have your own fanbase and Munagenius is almost always talking about you, and if they’re not talking about you, they’re posting you on their social media and vice versa. It’s no secret that you’re very close with both of the groups. Hell they may or may not have written songs about you.

Not only is the group and the crowd glad to see you, you’re literally being dragged on stage by a golden retriever and the little one, who wouldn’t laugh?! (Jo gives off such golden retriever energy I can’t,…… I’ll pitch that Idea to someone’s inbox soon) (also they way I just struggled to type ‘inbox’ is embarrassing but anyways 💀)

Anyways all three of you are laughing and shit, maybe they’re tickling you so it’s harder for you to run.

Eventually you get set down and the storm starts, maybe Jo kissed you first? maybe Lucy? Julien??? who knows, all you know is that your friends are showing you so much love, you can barely breath before another one picks up where the last one started.

They’re kissing you cheeks, forehead, nose, chin, neck, lips. And boooooy do you get shy.

It’s not like you’re afraid to show your love to them, you’ve kissed them, cuddled, wrote songs about them, made art about them more times than you can count, and talked about them in interviews. (I also imagine that their bestfriend is the person to send paragraphs of appreciation for them at random, and post appreciation posts on instagram for any of Munagenius’ birthday ( or again, at random, artist! bff is a very sentimental and grateful being that does stuff out of kindness at random, no special occasion needed!!!) and their words are so genuine and poetic it moves people.

AND they just send photos like “ this made me think of you” to let Munagenius know that they’re on their mind, aw, let me get back on track hold on 😭)

Artist bff is also not shy on stage, when they HAVE preformed….. let’s just say people now demand you pay for emotional damages.

YOU’RE SUCH A FUCKING TEASE ON STAGE, facial expressions, winking, motioning you finger in the ‘come here’ motion, biting your lip, dancing. Artist bff is a damn charisma fairy

Yet here you are, on stage with Muna and Boygenius, Blushing at some kisses???? Unbelievable.

Maybe artist!bff isn’t that used to their love being reciprocated, especially publicly so they’re just a bit surprised and flustered.

So you’re just getting bombarded with kisses and hugs and little tickles from both groups, and they’re teasing and cooing at you for hiding your face cuz the fucking audacity that you have to have insane amounts of charisma and be a tease when you’re preforming but the moment you’re not the one preforming, you’re shy?

BUT LIKE you’re overwhelmed with love ( in a good way) and beautiful people that just so happen to be your best friends are kissing you, live, infront of hundreds of people. Sit here and tell me you wouldn’t gay panic YOU CANT

I also imagine that maybe they all have a nickname for you, like ‘love bug’ or ‘little love’ cuz you’re the youngest out of the 6 of them and one of the shortest, and while you’re being brought on stage Katie’s just like “ Oh, they got bug.” while smiling cuz they all just love you so much and AHHHH

Eventually you end up hiding your face in someone’s neck afterwards and they’re just rocking you side to side chucking at how cute you are. Mind you the show must go on so they’re STILL PREFORMING throughout the whole thing but you’re a bit too overwhelmed to walk off the stage rn so into the escape of someone’s arms you go.

One day you find a game disk at a garage sale. The game is called Champion’s Blue Ribbon, the main protagonist is a blue clad teenage mutant ninja turtle and his three color-coded brothers. You can play as any brother but most of the game revolves around Leo.

You start playing the game completely unaware to the main character watching you. He starts making in game comments of things you have in your house. His favorite food? Whatever your is and pizza. His favorite animal? Turtles! But your favorite animal is also a close second.

Your electronics aren’t working very well, messages with friends and family aren’t working or gone. That dating app you had? Not a trace.

idk what’s been happening lately but i miss the era of bucky barnes stories where he’s the actual character. not a biker, step dad, fuck boy, etc. don’t get me wrong!!! i love your stories but i feel like all of the BB fandom on this app has disconnected from his character :(

But these past few months,I've been trying to find Winter Soldier Bucky fics,basically canon Bucky,where reader had an encounter with Bucky as Winter Soldier in the past and now she meets him again as Bucky. It can be dark or non dark,reader can be an avenger,agent or just normal civilian,just anything because I'm so desperate for a fic like that and Google and Tumblr search didn't work for me. And so far,I only found 2 fics like that (which I'm so grateful for both fics being series with multiple chapters. Made the search worth it. I would hug the writers if I could). And that too,not on Tumblr but on AO3,in the James "Bucky" Barnes/Reader tag that had 705 pages which I then also had to filter out with 'Winter Soldier Bucky Barnes' tag and the pages came down to 25. I stopped at page 13 and that's how I found those 2 specific fics that I'm looking for. I haven't scrolled through all the pages yet so maybe there's more of what I'm looking for. And maybe not all writers are using the 'Winter Soldier Bucky Barnes' tag even if they're writing canon Bucky so that means there's more. But yeah,I was confused as Winter Soldier & Bucky recovering from being the Winter Soldier is is Bucky's main lore and yet I filtered it out,705 pages dropped to 25.

Like,I'm not complaining at all. And I'm so sorry if it came off like that. I'm not even a writer so I don't want to complain. I know how hard writers work while juggling work and personal life at the same time. I actually read every new Bucky fics posted here no matter how they're written. And I'm happy that many people still remember and love Bucky in 2024,so much that they would still write fics about him. Without the Bucky fics posted here daily by bunch of great & talented writers,my daily life would be dull & boring. But the anon ask above reminds me of the time recently when I simply trying to find Winter Soldier Bucky fics and found just a few of them and I was just thinking to myself "Damn....... Like more questions for the traits section of the profile etc

I just love using your site. It’s so much easier and less of a headache than Toyhouse (which was my previous placement for my ocs but the coding on that site is so freakin confusing)

Now I may be misunderstanding things but is there a way I can add characters to folders? I have many ocs that all have separate projects and I don’t wanna confuse where certain characters are from and what they’ll be featured in. So far I’ve got maybe 4 comics that’s not going to be a part of the main series but will be featured in main series as mini easter eggs or just characters that will have some impact to my main oc.

I do not know if that’s what the world is for.

Also! When will we see the verification check? This way people can’t pretend to be massive artists. How would that work?

I think what might work (and this is a suggestion and idk how well this will go) message or email the people that are trying to get the check and to see if they’re real ask a few questions. Now I know this may or may not prove anything. I just don’t like some platforms (while I understand why) I rather not expose my personal information especially if it’s going to be sold on sites? If that made sense? That’s my major worried with platform like twitter and instagram (they both have a certain following requirements and a subscription fee) I’m worried if I do give out my personal information, my account might get h@cked and my data will be leaked and that’s my biggest fear with most of the platforms I have. It’s why I don’t have anything of my information on any sites because they’re not trustworthy.

Now I’m not saying that will happen, but this is just one of my major fears I have, I love the site so much because it’s gotten me to really flesh out my ocs on questions I’d never thought to ask before, and I hope it gets a app version so I don’t have to use a site to get on.

I always respond to comments! Usually whenever I update with a new chapter. Comments make me so so happy (seriously I cannot even begin to describe it) so I really want to show my appreciation to readers, even though I'm usually quite bad at thinking of ways to reply.

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Hm most of my fics are unfinished, but if all goes to plan, midnight or All This and Heaven Too will probably have the most bittersweet endings.

Twin Flames! Maybe lean for me too if I ever finish that.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not on AO3 so far. I used to get some hate on ff dot net, but I think commenting culture in general is a bit harsher over there so.

Only unpublished for myself so far haha. But (perhaps controversial) if I ever post any it's going to be f/f omegaverse because it's underrated and there's a tragic lack of it everywhere.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've ever written?

Definitely! I'm obsessed with fusion crossovers and there's lots of half-finished ones in my docs and notes app. My only published one so far (and I suppose the craziest) is my Criminal Minds x Twilight crossover midnight though.

Not to my knowledge! I hope not

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

I've had someone ask to translate Sin to Win into Chinese, which was really cool!

I co-wrote like three chapters of a OUAT fic with my ex-best friend years ago, but I think we got bored and abandoned it, so no clue if it's out there somewhere still.

14. What's your all-time favourite ship?

Easily JJ/Emily, literally do not get me started on how tragic they are, idk what it is but I've never been so obsessed with a ship before.

15. What's a fic you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Sorry to anyone who likes it because it was my most popular fic until very recently, but probably Sin to Win. I really hate what I did with the plot from Chapter 2 onwards and I'm confused about what past-me thought a cognitive interview was, because that's almost definitely not how they work. The plot's just a mess that I'm not sure how to unravel lol. I am still totally in love with the premise though, so maybe in the future I'll start over and delete the last few chapters.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I would definitely say writing descriptions (easily one of my favourite parts of writing in general), I love getting to capture a vibe.

Also conciseness (thanks to every English teacher I've ever had, and all the hundred word short stories I was forced to enter as a teen lol) although it can definitely be a double-edged sword when trying to reach higher wordcounts.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

OMG definitely dialogue. Idk if people reading my fics can tell but I avoid it as much as possible, and that's because between my autism and social anxiety, I just genuinely do not know/understand what people are supposed to say in a conversation + how (although I definitely think I've at least improved in structuring dialogue realistically), especially in character.

Also, just like, plots, lol.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Personally, I tend to prefer for the writer to just be like, "she said in French." I'm bilingual, English is my second language, and I feel like often when people write poly-lingual characters in particular they're kind of clumsy about the character using another language. I've definitely seen people do it very well though!

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Oh boy, I'm actually not sure if I remember, I must have been like twelve or thirteen at the time. I'm going to tentatively guess Grey's Anatomy.

20. Favourite fic you've ever written?

It's between Twin Flames (my baby, the first fic I've ever finished) and All This and Heaven Too (I loved writing young JJ and Emily so much).

do you have any sense of direction: hardly lol! i have a great photographic memory so even going a certain route once with someone who knows the way i can remember it HOWEVER i am utter shit at finding my way with a map on my own. google maps is always open when im trying to find a place and even then i frequently go in the wrong direction or miss a turning. i just cannot translate distance on a digital map to irl distance. don't even get me started on using a traditional map bc g-d above. id end up more lost than i was before. im excellent at just confusing the hell out of myself <3

A/N: here’s a little bit of I guess a hurt/comfort drabble but the hurt is not shown, just mentioned lmao ik it’s not really based on the song per se but it is worked into it so I hope you still like it 🥺

You hadn’t spoken for 3 days at this point, and the guilt and anxiety was gnawing away at your nerves. What if you’d truly scared him off for good this time? What if you’d really fucked up and upset him, past the point of being fixed by an apology. You couldn’t believe you’d fallen out over something so stupid but that’s what unrequited love does to you, you supposed. You were still coming to terms with your feelings for Rob and figuring out the best way to tell him, which unfortunately left you snapping at him when he asked if you were okay and he said some hurtful things in retaliation, which clearly he felt bad about afterwards.

A knock on the door startled you out of your thoughts and you almost sloshed your coffee all over your lap as you rushed to answer it. You took a moment to compose yourself, seeing the obscured figure through the frosted glass and trying to figure out who it could be at 7 in the morning. Tall, looked they were holding a guitar, shifting nervously from foot to foot- wait, a guitar?

You yanked open the door then, and sure enough there was Bobby breathing a sigh of relief and letting his smoke go. “Thank god,” he said, a hint of a smile on his face “for a second there I was scared you weren’t gonna answer.”

“Why? You know me, I’m ranked number one in the world for fastest door opener.” You joked, thinking back to a conversation you’d had where he called you that. But the joke fell flat and didn’t do much to ease either of your nerves.

“Well I kinda thought I was the last person you wanted to see today.”

“And I thought you hated my guts.”

And that seemed to hit a nerve. He frowned in confusion before taking another drag of his cigarette.

“What? I- no, no, I don’t, why would I- look can we just talk? Well actually I wanted to play you a song I learnt yesterday. If you’ll let me. Or you can slam the door in my face and tell me to go away forever, I’ll understand.” Rob was stumbling over his words, blue eyes constantly flicking between yours and the floor. You smiled then.

“Go on then, I’d love to hear it.”

He promptly discarded his cigarette then and sat himself on the front step of your porch, patting the concrete for you to join him as he began to strum the opening chords. You thought you could vaguely make out the song, something by Coldplay, but you couldn’t say which one.

“You can sing along you know.” He smirked, not looking up from where his fingers met the frets.

“I don’t know the words Bobby!” You giggled, giving him a little nudge with your elbow but not enough so it would muck up his playing. He just shook his head and took a deep breath.

“Did I drive you away? I know what you’ll say. You say oh, sing one we know.”

And it was then you realised that this was his apology. This was his love confession.

“But I promise you this, I’ll always look out for you. Yeah that’s what I’ll do.”

The lyrics matched you both so well that you imagined him tediously skipping through spotify the night before, trying to find the perfect song to make it up to you. Not to mention how he must’ve spent hours just learning it non stop and it was all for you. Because he cares about you. You turned bright red as you reflected on how stupid you were to think for so long that he couldn’t love you the way you wanted him to, but here was the man of your dreams on your doorstep serenading you. Well, if that’s not how you want to be loved then you have to be crazy.

I love the symphonic pictures EP so much too, it’s incredible how talented and creative they were even from that young age with all the layered instrumentation and everything…he’s amazing.

Anyway, do you k ow if the lyrics are published somewhere? I love Johnny’s singing but he doesn’t enunciate very well, especially on Bootstrap Paradox 😆

I love how you can really hear their influences too. Like when they said they like Beck for example i was like ?? ok cause i didn’t really know anything about him but then i heard Loser by chance on the radio one day and it all sort of clicked. I was like ”holy shit yeah this does sound like something symphonic pictures would make”

I haven’t been able to find official lyrics posted anywhere no, but i can sort of decipher some of them?

But it’s actually Dale singing on Bootstrap Paradox haha Bondy only sings on Feathers and Backwoods and Dale also sings Smile it’s Real :)

okay okay SO MANY THINGS the fact he has so many hobbies other than music ?!?! He’s literally so talented it’s insane like if he were alive in the 1600s or whatever then historians would describe him as a very well educated man yk? Not to mention he’s just very knowledgeable on a range of subjects like not even just music but like other cultures and politics and all that kinda cool stuff. But also he balances being incredibly smart with being a man child and having the greatest comebacks and insults ever and just an insane sense of humour (and mega stoner™️)

I also love how he went to do music at uni but then decided it just straight up wasn’t for him and then (Not sure if he dropped out or finished the course anyway) went and started Symphonic Pictures to fill that void cause I’m at that point in life where everyone’s tryna shove Uni in your face and not really presenting you with other options but I always remember that the majority of my favourite musicians and people I look up to didn’t go to Uni and they’re doing fine so that’s quite a comfort and reassurance to me

ALSO LET’S NOT FORGET HOW MANY BANDS THIS MAN HAS BEEN IN CAUSE IT’S LIKE 7 OR SOMETHING INSANE

Do you think Van and Bondy ever had an actual physical knuckle-to-jaw fight?

Genuinely? I don’t think so, just hear me out 😭

I think they’re all immature to some degree, but definitely no way immature enough to start assaulting each other. I just cannot see Bondy getting annoyed to the point of actually punching one of his bandmates especially over something as small as whatever they’ve been arguing about. I can’t see Van striking out either tbh.

I will say though, in the worst worst case scenario, if they were to ever get physical with each i put my money on substances being involved because i just cannot imagine them in their sober state of minds to think fighting each other is the right thing to do. They had to be drunk or coked up or something.
