Me and my friend have been reading your story together and they are a few chapters ahead of me but still we want to know your opinion on our favorite not canon ship. I know this might sound strange but it’s Lev x Wicks. We have almost the epitome of a court case to support why we ship this to if you’re interested.

So, okay, since you are at that point in the story. I am guessssssing, the one that I have on my other blog.

There are a few fun things that have not been explained in Widfali regarding them. However, I do not quite know where you are so I will withhold for now. LOL.

However, this is probably one of the most cursed ships, at this current point in the story. As spoiler free as possible below.

Between them, would be interesting though:

Tidbit - Something I realized as of late; Wicks is drawn to people (or more like dragged in) by people with strong personalities. Lynette and his other buddy, who you will meet later if you haven't Garter. Lynette and Garter both are very, "you're going to be my friend and like it". Lev also has a strong extroverted personality like them, so he'd drag in Wicks one way or another.

Personality -

Wicks is reserved. It's not shown much in the story but he's somewhat socially awkward. He doesn't do small talk, nor does he enjoy speaking to people if he doesn't have too. He is seen having fun or acting silly with Lynette because he's obviously very comfortable with his best friend and sister. Other than that, he tries to avoid conversation with people he's not close to unless it's important to discuss like work or he wants them to feel included. However, he usually gets stuck in his own head.

Lev on the other hand, LOVES conversation. He's not a fan of small talk either, he'll instead change the subject to find peoples interest or joke around and get them at ease. Traversing conversation does not scare him, if anything, he's mastered it.

Overall, they are both hard working and like to spend time with people they care about. They'd both value each other's time and would put effort into the other to improve themselves. Lev is more playful with his jabs though and Wicks would take them seriously. Which would lead to some "friendly" combativeness. Basically, Lev would tease the sh*t out of Wicks and Wicks would want to hide his embarrassment or fight.

Combability Relationship Wise -

It's honestly a mash up. I don't think Wicks could or would easily forgive and forget Lev's crimes against his sister. Even if Lynette said it was okay and forgave him. Wicks will hold a grudge. And uh, Lev with uh, insert spoiler here, would be a very funny given his history. Especially if he found out other certain family related matters, not talked about in Widfali yet. It will be in this current arc on my other account.

Other than that, they'd work as well as two alley cats in the same home. A lot of fighting, biting, hissing, and etc, at least at first. But they'd mellow out to one another eventually. I feel like Lev could win over Wicks, overtime. WHICH Lev is and will always be a very patient person. He has time to spare, and he will if he chooses to dedicate himself to someone.

Wicks's love language is words of affirmation which Lev would give him, similar to Lynette. It's the kind of reassurance Wicks needs as he questions himself constantly. While Wicks would do acts of service for Lev, trying to assist and get things done for him when he can. Wicks wants to make things easier on his partner, and Lev would appreciate it because it means he can get back to his odd hobbies and things so much faster.

"Realistic factors" (It's a fiction story so this is funny) -

Though, Lev goes on dates with humans, he'd probably want a Drakin like himself in a long-term relation because his species mates for life. Even if their mate passes, they'll never love in that way again.

Wicks would want control in the relationship and with Lev, that's a hard sell. Not that Lev would control every aspect of it, he might be a little at first because of his own personal need to plan everything out, he'd just hold enough power that Wicks would feel overwhelmed and worried. This would take time with trust.

And ha, most importantly, Lev ages slower than Wicks BY A LOT. Every forty years Lev ages up one year. Sorry to fans. Unless there was a way to stop someone's aging/change someone into something that lives a very long time, it probably wouldn't happen. Technically there are a few methods. The risk of death is there. They won't be talked about in Widfali...probably?

That being said. I HAVE written, but never editted and published a funny joke for April fools about Lynette having a nightmare where Wicks and Lev were dating, get married, and then he eats Wicks in front of her. xDDD

For Wendy! This was like the second song I ever added to the ship playlist. I just always imagine them fighting and kicking ass during this. I also like how much it ties them to Clayman - until he's killed, their story revolves around him pretty strongly. He gives them a reason to live in this world they got isekai'd into to, so it's very hard to separate that from just them. This is also why it's so catastrophic when he's killed because uh...well...everything about them revolves around him oops! But yeah this song is fun for their dedication to him (and their family) and kicking ass to it.

For Kitsune Aura! They have a playlist that's just for them, separate from the ship playlists. How to choose...AHA!

I LOVE THIS SONG FOR THEM SO MUCH! I just think it works with their entire arc so well. "I am not a woman, I'm a god, I am not a martyr I'm a problem, I am not a legend I'm a fraud". For them like - they are 1) nonbinary and not a woman, 2) a god to Inazuma, 3) absolutely shattered inside and out by Ei abandoning them so they don't feel like a god or someone Inazumans should look up to. Huge angst. Ugh. It just gets me and it's SUCH a good song.

☄️Comet: What was a moment where you/your self-insert really shined? This can be a badass moment, a moment where you felt important to the overall lore, or just a really cool and important moment!

For Wendy, they are going to get to save part of their family waaaay in like LN 19 (18? not sure). They've been getting stronger alongside Rimuru, and they'll get to showcase their new Ultimate Skill to rescue their family in the nick of time. This has the side effect of Rimuru not needing to use Clayman's soul (which he's just been CARRYING AROUND by the way) to heal Tear, because she never got hurt in the first place...so Clayman can be brought back to life after all this time and reunited with Wendy and his family.

It's particularly cool and badass because they have an ability that let's them teleport along the ley lines, but they haven't used it since Clayman was killed because part of that skill is that they could always sense him instantly and go to where he was easier than anywhere else. So to use it when he's no longer present...the idea hurt. But their family is in danger - so they choose to do it, to shield and protect their loved ones.

For Kitsune Aura, like, the entire fic- KFEWHFKJEW like god I just cannot I don't mean to brag or sound immodest but I did an INCREDIBLE job integrating them into lore. I especially like what I did with Seirai. I made them deeply connected to Seirai, pulling in characters from Genshin lore like Hibiki, and from the main plot Lady Neko, and integrating them into that lore in a way I will always be proud of. I did so much research for that fic dfkasjhfkjdsa and it paid off!!!

I also really really like how traumatized I made them. I think their ptsd moments were really important to them as a character, and the complex ways that presented and made them mess things up I think exemplify the character in a lot of ways. Specific scenes that come to mind include how it caused them to push Sara away at times, while at others it made them desperately need her comfort. Complexity! Suffering! Just like! I wrote that??? that is so wild.

I once heard the opinion that the zutara fandom (the loudest and most toxic part of it, of course, we are not talking about normal people who just enjoy their ship) has features of cultist, sectarian thinking and organization. I haven't thought about it much, but recently a friend of mine who understands quite a lot about cults and sects and to whom I showed the most popular zutara blogs and their meta tags here, tumblr (I didn't push him on this idea, we were just chatting about fandoms) said that according to the type of thinking zutara's fandom has features of a religious cult. this thought seemed interesting to me. what do you think about it?

I'd say it's true, but it does not apply solely to Zutara, or even to the ATLA fandom.

I lost count of how many times I've seen some legit insane news here in Brazil about angry fans of some soccer team violently beating, or straight up murdering, people that were wearing the "wrong" t-shirt after a game.

Harry Potter had the weird thing with the Snape wives, and now has the current cult-like TERF bullshit JK Rowlling encourages on a daily basis.

One of my cousins is VERY into K-pop and told me some WILD shit about some idols literally have to sign contracts that forbid them from dating (or at least publicly dating) anyone because half of the marketing around their persona is "You, regular person, could totally date them!" and faced some ABSURD backlash, including death threats towards them and their partners, when they were revealed to be in a relationship.

Anything, no matter how mundane, can be used by some disturbed people to excuse/encourage awful behavior. It's usually a result of desperate, lonely people needing to find ANYTHING that makes them feel like they belong, are part of a group, of a community, to the point that they shut off from anything else and become obsessed. That kind of thing has always existed, but BOY, has the internet made it sooooooooooo much worse.

I mean, seriously, just look at the things the "extreme" zutara fans do.

Creating whole conspiracies to justify why their was totally canon until some evil authority screwed it over, lying about anything and everything that happened both in canon and in the making of the show, even going as far as creating fake "evidence" of some huge power struggle between Bryke and other writers (mainly Ehasz).

Harrassing, bullying, doxxing and threatening anyone that has a different opinion, and justifying their actions with "Oh, but the people were doing this to ship Kataang/Maiko, which means they're all raging mysogynists, rape apologists, and 100% against interracial relationships."

The constant claims of "Bryke are creepy pedos because they only pushed Kataang because they are attracted to Katara, a cartoon character, and thus are attracted to real-life 14-year-olds! That's even the real reason why Aang is bald! To look like one of them!" that are not only ridiculous but could EASILY lead to a lawsuit, and ignores the fact that Zutara, like any popular ship, has tons of smut of it even though both characters are underage - make it make sense!

And, of course, the classic "This bad behavior people accused some of us of is completely false! I didn't see it, so it didn't happen! Nobody here would do that! Never one of us! Must have been one of them, the evil fans of kataang/maiko/(insert any ship for either Zuko or Katara here)!"

Some of the bad apples in the Zutara fandom are just entitled assholes, but I'm also pretty sure that some of these people legit need to see a mental health professional. There's being passionate about a ship and being upset that it didn't happen, and then there's being downright delusional.

And before anyone tries to pull the ableism card on me: I've been through this shit. Thankfully I've never reached the point of ever harming anyone in any way, but I was a mentally ill child/teenager that just latched onto the media I liked, and it made it my whole life.

I had full on panic attacks because the power went out and I couldn't watch my favorite TV show, and I'd cry for DAYS when something bad happened to my favorite characters. I legit started showing signs of depression because one of my favorite bands had broken up, to the point that my parents were really fucking scared. I got FURIOUS at an annoying classmate in school who talked shit about my favorite singer, to the point that I legit had to get away from them as fast as humanly possible because I was three seconds away from starting a physical fight - again, all because a random kid whose opinion on literally anything else wouldn't have meant a damn thing to me.

That is not being passionate. That is not being a loyal fan. That is a clear sign that something is VERY wrong and that you need some help FAST. See a therapist, deal with whatever it is that is pushing you to act like that, THEN engage in fandom stuff as much as you want. But don't ever make this your whole personality.

In some of your favorite Levi fanfics, have you ever heard some insulting sentences about Levi, like "a guard dog who does Erwin's orders" and it made you feel cold and sad?

I came across this in a Levi fanfic I've been reading lately. It was nice and interesting. until I came across this sentence.

And the fanfic I read was LevixOc fic. Although in other Levi ship fanfics I've read, I've come across descriptions that would reduce Levi to Erwin, What I'm wondering is that this person probably loves Levi enough to ship him with an Oc of her own creation. Is she really in love with Levi's character or is she just using Levi as a fanfic tool? Or does she really know Levi as a "watchdog" "more of a follower of Erwin's orders"?

Not only that, but even in some self-insert/ship fanfic, Levi is portrayed as a cranky, rude, insulting person who doesn't think about anything but Erwin's orders, who leaves some people, including X, to die under Erwin's orders, who cheats, who is always grumpy, rude, insulting. It makes me really sad because now when I want to read something Levi-centered, I open it with fear. Sometimes I feel like I'm reading Eruri fanfic.

Whether it's newcomers to the fandom or people who barely know Levi, some people recognize Levi this way because of this kind of fan material/discourse. Or they even doubt his character. And I've even heard of fans who were disappointed and their love even turned to hate.

Well, one thing I can say is, I've been reading fanfic with Levi before that was extremely well written and that I was enjoying immensely, but after a while, I stopped, because it began to portray Levi as basically a slave to Erwin's will, and that always, always turns me off. I like eruri fics where Erwin is actually kind toward Levi and actually respects him, call me strange, lol. Or if he's unkind, it isn't deliberate, and he later tries to make up for it. I just don't like it when Levi is portrayed as having an enslaved mentality toward Erwin, of being beholden to Erwin, or putting Erwin over everything and everyone. It's such a gross misrepresentation of Levi and I just can't get into it. I also really don't like to see Levi disparaged or disrespected or put down. If he's going to be paired with Erwin, I like to see that relationship presented as equal and mutual.

As to your other points, I haven't really ever read Levi/OC or Levi/reader fics, but if people are portraying Levi as insulting and rude or deliberately unkind, then they just don't get Levi's characters at all. Levi CAN be insulting, but only when he has good reason to be, and he's never cruel or intentionally unkind. If Levi says something rude or insulting, more often than not, it's just because he's an honest person and socially awkward, and doesn't always have the best filter. It's not often that he's rude with the intention of hurting anyone's feelings. He doesn't just go around putting people down for no reason, and in truth, Levi is extremely thoughtful and conscious of other peoples emotions, and he, more than any other character, goes out of his way to express his gratitude for them. As to Levi cheating, he really, really doesn't strike me as the type who would ever do something like that. So, basically, it just sounds like you're reading some fics that have bad characterization for Levi, and yeah, sadly, that is something that kind of infects the fandom in general, with people beginning to formulate this made up, fanon version of Levi's character, and that version replacing the actual, canon version of him in their minds. They need to go back and read the manga or watch the anime to remind themselves of who Levi actually is.

Some people definitely are just using Levi as a tool or an avatar for their fantasies. They don't seem to care about his actual character or the story of "Attack on Titan" in general. They never talk about it. All they ever talk about is whatever made-up scenarios they have in their minds about him. It's bizarre.

Santa has been cooking up some ideas for some potential fic idea. I would like to ask you which one you like the most and if you'd like me to change anything or include anything. After all Santa wants to give you a gift you'll truly enjoy (I think my Santa impressions are starting to get too creepy now-oops).

Idea 1. Reverse Isekai- "I accidentally summoned a pirate into my room instead of the demon I was trying to make a deal with" This could be a play on season 5 in an alternate universe where Killian kills rumplestiltskin and becomes the dark one. Emma "accidentally" summons him instead and he's not happy about it. But in trying to find a way to get him back to his world....they grow on each other and he decides to stay or leave (depends on the ending- they could find a way to make him mortal or he could stay with her until she dies or there's a time limit on how long killian could stay and he ends up disappearing and she spends ages trying to find him.

Idea 2. That darned book- "Classic! I got consumed by a book of fairytales and I'm now a gaurdian angel for a self destructive pirate. How do I prevent him from doing anything drastic without revealing my identity". There could be a fun spin on things where Emma posses items near him causing him to think the Jolly Roger is haunted....captain floor who? We could have angst and misunderstandings with killian thinking Emma is working for rumple. We could have messups where Emma tries to do something good but it backfires. We could have a blue fairy and tinkerbell moment with Emma returning back to the real world and Killian realizing life isn't the same without her so he trades his ship and travels all the way too find her + some groveling and a happy go lucky ending.

Idea 3. A play on real life- Emma and killian are in college and they hate each other guts. They're both theater kids and have secured the lead roles in the college play much to their distress acting as a captive prince and a cutthroat pirate captain. Unfortunately for them their dislike for each other is so strong the fairytale gods decide to intervene and transmigrate them onto blackbeards ship as lovely deckhands. Will they be able to work together and find a way to escape or will they continue to bicker their way to doom? Basically over time they'll grow to trust and open up to each other which is the key to their escape.

4. Ghost of the Christmas past present and future for both Emma and Killian. Haven't thought much about this one.

The constant twists and turns in her brother Kamaji's life... what shenanigans will happen to him in Ayato or Ayaka Chapter 2? Will the Kujou Clan end up jumping ship and answering to the Hiiragi Clan? Lots of weirdness is still possible.

Same anon as before, who's now been dubbed "the cockles anti". First of all, I'm not a cockles anti, I'm anti everyone who's an asshole to Jensen or to Dean, and that happens to include Misha and his cult. But it also includes the Jared stans who are always slandering him, the shippers on both the cockles and tinhatters sides, the cockles fans who pretend to care about Jensen, only to insert Misha into everything, to go and harass his new coworkers, to give his real fans a bad rep, the tinhatters who say they love Jensen, but only love him as long as he's sacrificing his own wellbeing for Jared, the wincest stans who think that Dean can't and shouldn't be allowed to have his own life or personhood, the "Jensen fans" who humiliate Jensen to hype up his wife (though I've not seen any actual Jensen fans put him down in favour of his wife, so I'm going to assume it's actually the hellers, who I have seen do that, and we were just thrown into this category in a rumour started by the tinhatters, or hellers, I'm not picky, to make us look bad or to make the hellers look more valid and like the typical Jensen fan. Spoiler alert, they are not). The reason my initial message focused on Misha's cult is because people were acting like they're any better than the Jared side. No one was defending the tinhatters or the bullies who are Jared's fans, if they had been, I'd have pointed out how bad they are as well (I believe I did anyway, in comparison, but sure, let's ignore that to act like the poor victimized group here is the Misha fans).

Now, there's a few things I'd like to say, about the flurry of anons that have been sent in response to what I said, basically saying "I'm not like other shippers". First of all, every single one has talked about how they, unlike the other ones, follow boundaries. I have two things to say about that. A, I don't believe that. I just don't, because every single shipping account I've ever seen, cockles or destiel, or even just a Misha fan, has been so disgusting towards Jensen. But, let's argument's sake, say that that's because I just haven't seen the "normal" ones that "have boundaries". Which boundaries are those? If someone was like, I ship destiel but I know it's not real, and I'm not going to harass and threaten and slander Jensen over it, I'm not going to act like I know better than the guy who's been Dean for 15 years, I'd be like, okay, I guess you have boundaries. I don't know what show you're watching, but fine. But the minute you start projecting that onto a real person, with real feelings and thoughts and relationships, you're already out of line. I know that the interweb has skewed people's sense of boundaries and respect, but that's messed up. No matter how much fun you're having, it's still wrong. I wouldn't want to walk into my office and find people spreading rumours about me. He's a person too, and it's messed up. And I understand that Misha's a fucking asshole, who only cares about himself, and has been egging on these dangerous individuals, but the rumours aren't just about him. So his "hints" and "coded messages" are not a free license to make up lies about Jensen. You're breaking boundaries by doing that, no matter how much you tell yourself that you're not, so you can still feel righteous and entitled.

Another thing I have to point out, that's been a pattern in all of these messages is the "if" clause. Every single message has included a paragraph about "IF Jensen said destiel and cockles weren't real, I'd still love him, that's just his opinion". Which tells me that the opposite is true. First of all, his work and especially his life and relationships, are not a matter of opinion, those are facts. Respecting someone includes respecting their right to speak about their own life and acknowledging that they are an authority over their own life and thoughts and feelings. But second, the fact that so many of them have said this, that they'd still love him, shows that the opposite is true. Because guess what, there's no IF about it. He's said time and time again that destiel isn't real and that Dean does not have those feelings for Castiel. So, so many damn times. "Destiel does not exist", "where is destiel real?", "I have not played it like that [which was AFTER 15x18, just in case someone wants to be all "he's changed his mind"]. He's also shut down the rumours about him and Misha every single time. When the assholes showed up to his face to ask about clothes sharing, he told them that they weren't sharing, he'd given them away. If someone donates clothes to goodwill, are they dating every person who gets those? I think not. Misha wore them in public on purpose to egg on the shippers, I know that. That doesn't mean that he's dating Jensen, just because he's wearing his donated clothes. I mean, Jensen has packed extra clothes for Jared before. By that logic, they must be married by now. When Misha was being cringey af in that gish video last spring and kept saying "I love you" and "I miss you" to get him to say it back and get crumbs for the shippers so he himself could stay relevant to his own cult, what did Jensen do? He called him "brother" (as Dean has called Castiel, several times, and Benny and Lee. I think it's time for this side of shippers, who tell the wincest fans that they're gross for shipping incest, to realize that they're doing the exact same thing. Two sides of the same coin) and talked about how he'd not seen him outside of work. At all. There's an infinite amount of more examples of Jensen saying that destiel doesn't exist and cockles doesn't exist. The people who are still saying "IF he said that", the "if" is there because they refuse to listen to him. The "if" is there because they don't really love or respect him, because if they did, they'd respect his words rather than pretending he never said them. The "if" is there, because his words say that their fantasies aren't true, but they ignore those so they can keep spreading these lies and blame Jensen for them, so they can feel validated. The "if" is there, because at the end of the day, they really do not care about him, beyond as a prop in their fantasies.

P.S. Since the original message, all the messages in response have acted as if I'm delusional for calling it like it is, and I've been called homophobic for thinking that it's inappropriate to spread lies about an actual human being. And yet, every new message that comes in, proves my point one way or another. So, all in all, I'm not mad about it.

I know I just posted about not sharing any “shipper wars” messages anymore but this one I wanted to share. I wanted you to get a chance to explain yourself, and I think you summed up a lot of things that I’ve also thought!

TOP 5 SK8 Episodes

So I got tagged by @akira-cr to make this list, it took some time but I think I've sorted out my mind, thank you for considering me 😊. Now here comes the list, sorry if it's supposd to be objective, but I'm gonna let my heart out over here (It's gonna be a long post and I'm not gonna cut it ):

NUMBER 5 - Episode 6 - Steamy Mystery Skating?! (A.K.A. The beach episode 🏊‍♂️)

Well this is supposed to be "breather" episode, and it's basically the one that sold the series to me. I like how fun and chill this episode is, although it does (further) foreshadow Reki's insecurity issues. The music is of course SUBLIME! "Seize the Moment" is probably my favorite insert song of all time! (it's been present in Reki's beefs as well, but here it really reflects the fun nature of his character and the show overall). And of coruse, FANSERVICE, not so much in how the boys were in swimsuits (though I gotta admit Reki does look good in them), but on the RENGA interactions!

That hug gave me life! How Langa was worried 24/7 about Reki being injured, at the end when they skated together to escape from the Bantu! I gotta admit that I have some mixed feelings about the implications of Reki being attracted to the faceless girl (I mean, Bi rep is very important too), but I guess my shipping side was just as jelaous as Langa was supposed to be (according to the fans LOL).

NUMBER 4 - Episode 11 - King vs. Nobody (A.K.A. Reki rising! ✨🌺🌞⚙️)

Reki is, without a doubt, my favorite character. He doesn't need to win, he doesn't need to be super flashy while skating, he just needs to be himself. He's been through a lot, many people (including me) have felt tremendously related to him, and seeing him in this episode is just satisfying. With his issues behind, with a promise to skate with Langa after he wins and no longer fearful, Reki rematches against Adam; and the way he does is fantastic! Taking advantage of his creativity, observative skills and mechanical knowledge on skateboarding, he faces up against the main boss and manages to not only endure his violent ways (which were gruelling to see, TBH), but also SOUNDLY HUMILIATE HIM in front of the whole S Community!

Yes, Adam, the "God of S", in the ground covered in mud by a boy almost everyone dissmissed! It was really sunshine through rainfall! I must also add how much I liked to see his renewed relationship with Langa, how much they treasure their company after patching up. I want to elaborate on this in its own post but I personally see that their interactions from this point on are more, I don't know, tender, caring, still playful but not in an entirely comedic way. The way they see each other is also deeper, anyway, it's just what I see.

NUMBER 3 - A DRAW: Episode 8 - The Fated Tournament! and Episode 9 - We Were Special Back Then (A.K.A. The month in which I was in an emotional crisis because of anime sk8t3r b0is 🍎🐍😭🛹❄🍵🌸 )

This is the point in which I got into the show, and the fandom (Yeah, haven't been around for too long). At this point the show wasn't the same, and I realized it when I caught up. Though there were some cool skating scenes in these episodes, the events that caught my attention were outside the road (Yeah, this was no longer just a skateboard anime, it's a whole lot more). Though I had been mainly focusing on Reki and Langa, I really liked having more backstory related to Joe, Cherry, Adam and Tadashi. Seeing how Adam went through a terrible childhood, convoluted teeange years to culminate in an adult with too much power for his own good and a twisted sense of "love", along with some extremely serious psychological issues was very interesting.

I acknowldge him as a complex villain, but that DOES NOT justify what he did to Cherry. This only proves that just because we know his backstory, we don't have to sympathize with him (Adam's just such a terrible person). On the RENGA side, we see Reki avoiding Langa after their rift, and how this affected both. We have Langa's sadness increase scene after scene, as well as his passion for skating dwindling as progressively. Reki on the other hand, just falls deeper and deeper in his depression, but also being unable to stop thinking about Langa, and he ends up going to S to see the latter's match against Joe. It's hard to see whether there's envy, jelaousness, frustration, admiration, pining or fear of being left behind in his mind. It must have been hard for a 17 y/o.

Reki also defends Langa from people speaking behind his back and shouting his name during the race boosts Langa's performance tremendously. This culminates on Reki realizing that the thing he actually wanted was to skate alongside Langa, not on the side, not as support, but together, he just couldn't. There's also the scene which may or may not confirm that Langa's feelings for Reki are more than just friendship! (Felt represented, for reals).

NUMBER 2 - Episode 7 - We Don't Balance Out (A.K.A. This was supposed to be a fun show!😭⛈️💔️)

I wrote a lot about the episodes in the previous spot, but this is the one that flipped the tables, the game-changer, and the one that hit closer home. It is a sad episode, no races there, it's just here for us to see how the circumstances affect the characters. It was hard to see how Reki, who at this point had been nothing but supportive and proud of Langa, starts to see him flying farther from him. Is it jealousness? Dissatisfaction? Is it fear of loneliness? Adbandoment issues? Is it feeling inferior? Frustration? Not being able to improve? Admiration? Care?

And on top of that a broken promise. I just can't imagine how hard is it for a 17 y/o to deal with all of those conflicting issues in his head, as well as the toxic competitive environment on the "S Community". This just came to show that he wasn't just the excitable, goofy sidekick character, he goes deeper than that, and makes him relatable. We also see a deconstruction of the cool, aloof prodigious character in Langa, as he just can't comprehend what's going on with Reki, and he's hurt by it, but still needs to figure out his own ambitions and desries. This leads to the emotional conclusion of the episode (which in turn left me in the aforementioned 4-week-long emotional crisis, thank you)

Episode 12 - Our Infinity! - The race was cool, the Renga hug gave me life and everyone had a happy ending

Episode 5 - Passionate Dancing Night! - Despite the beef between Langa and Adam being cool, we start to see Reki worrying about Langa and opening up to him, further deepening their bond.

Episode 2 - Awesome for the First Time! - There's just something special about sharing something you're passionate about with someone else. Watching Reki teaching Langa the basics of skateboarding was heartwarming

NUMBER 1 - Episode 10 - DAP Not Needing Words

After 4 weeks waiting, the anticipation for this episode was gargantuan. Reki's depression was hitting its lowest point, bordering in self-harm, and hurting others as well. Langa continues to look for Reki after seeing him briefly at the hospital while visiting Shadow and we get to see this loving scene where he watches videos of Reki learining how to skate. After confronting Tadashi and realizing that he loves skating because it's fun, he returns home to find out that Langa had been waiting for him but left shortly before he arrived.

This leads to a heartful reunion, where words can't express their feelings, so they resort to do their thing, to skate, and that's where the feelings flow. This is when Langa tells Reki how he admires him tremendously and Reki understands that Langa'll be there by his side, and leaves his fears behind. With a mutual desire to skate together infinetely and a new dap, they rekindle their bond. People watched this show for different reasons, and though I like the skateboarding aspect because it looks cool, my interest leans more on the relationship aspect, and Reki and Langa's is so deep and intimate, and I liked seeing it grow from zero through different hardships (in other words, in all of the years I've been in a fandom, I had never shipped any other pair like these two, I needed to say that).

Pennywise & Tennessee Kid - based on a joke on my and my very good friend Marika's inside joke which includes me explaining the concept for reader inserts to her and I showed her the tag, well it was October 2017 and guess what x readers were trending, what movie had just come out? Pennywise x readers. With smut. I'm not sure how this joke came on but soon we decided that Pennywise has an obsession with Marika and stalks her from the sewers, and since I was crushing on this raccoon character in Playstation game Sly Cooper 4 in 2013 spring before I met my last irl crush in August 2013 (for clarification, the character was named Tennessee Kid Cooper), we decided that he has an obsession with me. And I can't go to the forest when it's a mating season because Kid attacks me otherwise. So when I saw Kid (the piggy version), I realized that hey, he kinda looks like Tennessee Kid, and then I saw Penny and was like huh, white and reddish... that one makes a good Pennywise.

Lakritsi - Finnish for liquorice. His coloring brought Panda chocolate liquorice (side note, Panda is a Finnish candy trademark if you were confused) to my mind but I soon realized that Lakritsi could be a bit too complex name for him to learn, so I just shortened it to Laku.

They all probably think their name is höpölipöppöti now though because I always coo at them and call them that.

Yeah sure, I can allow it. Only thing that Kid and I come together so he's gonna have to endure me too if he wants to adopt Kid, also Penny is for Kid what Inej is for Kaz so. I'm not sure if they'd be able to live without each other 😂 So he's gonna take all of us or none of us. If he still takes the offer, I didn't lie to my ex-crush after all 🤔🤔

A storytime on that: I crushed on a boy in my class between 2013-2014 and was so in looooove with him, I wrote self-inserts with him and just painted all kinds of fantasies of how our life will be when we're old and wrinkly with 10 grandkids, but it didn't get any fire under its wings and he suddenly fell silent on me without explanations and started ghosting on me after November 2014, well I got over him eventually and started crushing on fictional characters again, and actually almost forgot about him and then he just randomly slid to my DM's on Facebook on May 14th this year and was like "it's been 6 years since we last talked, I'd like to know how you're doing? :)" I was happy about it at first, because for a long time, he was really important to me and was intrigued about how he's doing too. So I replied that hi, great to hear about you, I'm good, my birthday was last week and also asked about how he's doing, but he just ignored everything I said or asked and immediately started DEMANDING all the information I have of our other classmate and it was like the whole person changed behind the screen (he wanted to know the tiniest things, he wanted to know what was V wearing the last time I saw him?? Like... I don't wanna know why he wanted to know that), I jokingly started shipping them but then his writing became more messy and weird, he wrote really weird messages and formatted them like "look, [city name]? 2015" and meant that he wants to see pictures of that classmate I've taken of him in 2015 while we were hanging out at that city. Then I started telling him that hey, I don't really know V anymore, we haven't been in contact since the end of 2016, but here's his Facebook, go ask stuff from him. He did and asked that "if I would meet you what would I think of you? You haven't seen me after 2014, but have I seen you?" and I was like fuck do I know, but replied that I don't know what does he mean. He fell silent and after a week he came back demanding for more pics and didn't take a no for an answer again 😅

So I started growing frustrated so I lied to him that my boyfriend is here with me right now, can't really talk. He was like YOU HAVE A BOYFRIEND and I was like uh, duh? I've gotten over you, I'm far too gorgeous to be left without anyone. And then he started asking information of him, I purposely ignored him for a few hours and replied at like 11pm and told him that sorry for late reply, we were spending quality time together, but yeah his name is Kaz and he's a businessman, we began dating in 2015 (I claimed that our anniversary is September 29 = Six of Crows was published on September 29, 2015 😂😂😂) and I built the story a bit and then told him that oh yeah, when covid will calm down, I'm moving to Ketterdam with Kaz and explained that it's a city on Kerch, and Kerch is a small country beside Ravka. He didn't question it at all, suddenly wanted to meet me one last time before I move away to Ketterdam and asked me over and over again that when I'm coming back and I kept telling him that yeah well, that's the thing, I'm not coming back, not permanently anyway if we stay together with Kaz, but he told me that we might be able to retire when we're 40 because Kaz makes a lot of profit and probably then we'll move back to Finland because Ketterdam isn't the safest place to live in if you don't have a certain type of reputation. And then he just started asking when can I come up to meet him and say goodbye and I actually thought about buying some cheap/fake, authentic looking engagement ring which I would put onto my ring finger and make sure he sees it if I ever do go meet him. But even if I won't, I had the best laughs in my life.

We stopped talking eventually though when he had been silent for a month and then suddenly came back on 7th of July, and still tried to get me send him pics of V and my dad had just passed away, I told him that I'm mourning, I don't have time nor interest to dig pics of V that I most likely don't even have anymore, especially when my ex-crush wasn't even present when those pics were taken. He was like "I WOULD HAVE WANTED THEM AS MEMORIES BUT WHATEVER" and then fell silent on me. I sent him one last message where I apologized if I made him feel bad but I just need him to understand that I'm not capable for dealing with stuff like this right now, and that again, my dad just died. He saw it after a few minutes but didn't answer before October... so 3 months after my last message, he put me a "ok". 😅 Wow, my taste for men has really sucked.

And yeah if I had to choose between the three, Penny is my favorite too. He's just so cuddly and brave 😍 But haha no he won't jump on anyone from anywhere, unless you have something for him. You're his friend only after you give him something to eat, before that he's wary of you. Food is literally the instant way to his heart.

But Laku is the prettiest ever honestly, his coloring brings that viral cat to my mind from a few years ago.

So talking of finales penned by spn writers.

One of my fav comics the last few years has been Spider-Man/Deadpool, written by our very own Robbie Thompson.

Obviously, Deadpool is a character I was always gonna be fond of, since his fourth-wall breaking power / chatacter trait makes him all about the meta, and metafiction is My Jam.

Spider-Man/Deadpool has the additional fun of being about Wade and Peter's relationship specifically, which is just fun and adorable any which way, but the series also makes constant nods to the idea of them as a romantic couple (the title IS a LITERAL REFERENCE to slash fic/shipping). Never in a baity way either. The writing celebrates the idea of Spider-Man/Deadpool without ever teasing the idea it might actually happen. It's mostly Wade explicitly referencing them as a slash pairing in his various fourth-wall breaking speeches, while in the 'reality' of the universe the writing is pretty clear on the fact Peter only thinks of Wade platonically (or occasionally antagonistically :p), while Wade genuinely has an explicit romantic crush, but overall just simply respects and cares for Spider-Man as a person and primarily wants to be and have him as a friend (tho there's absolutely, deliberate, space left in the writing to imagine/fanfic a mutual romance between if you want).

(ASIDE: PETER PARKER IS NOT A KID IN THIS CURRENT VERSION OF MARVEL CANON HE IS 100% AN OF AGE ADULT, like he is in the Spiderverse film - in case anyone was freaking out)

So yeah, that's all fun and sweet and completely catering to my interests.

One of the big, big things about the characters and their relationship, though, is the fact that WADE DOES NOT KNOW SPIDER-MAN'S IDENTITY. And this quickly became one of, if not THE, things at the heart of their evolving friendship/relationship. The closer they get, the more and more you WANT Wade to find out or, better, for Peter to TELL HIM. Because you want them to reach that place of love and trust where they each know intimate things about each other, where Peter cares about and knows he can trust Wade enough to share that vulnerable truth about himself.

So, Peter telling Wade his secret identity - that's, basically, the ship/relationship endgame everyone is rooting for.

SO.

In the *cries* final storyline of the series, this whole epic Thing happens, that I won't explain cos it'll take too long. But basically, the world appears to be ending and in that context of dire and angsty straits - Peter reveals his identity to Wade! *insert Deadpool movie shock gif*

Now closer than ever, they team up with a rag tag collection of other characters to take on the Big Bad and, long story short, they discover the whole epic end of the world Thing has been a fake reality created by the real villain of the piece -

THE WRITER, aka Robbie himself!

Due a series of implausible comic book events they are able to confront and defeat him and he offers this in his defence -

When I first read this (which was, oh, back near the very beginning of spn S15) I thought

a) amusing that an ex-spn writer is, like spn itself, writing a meta story in which the writer is the villain

b) it's funny how spn's villain writer and Robbie's villain writer both harm/manipulate their characters for the exact opposite reasons - Chuck wants to prevent the characters from developing, comic!Robbie wants to force them TO develop

The tragedy, tho, is that after his defeat, as Spider-Man and Deadpool are locking comic!Robbie away, he tells them his capture doesn't matter because in the end HE WON, because Wade now knows Spider-Man's identity!!

To which we end with this -

The growth Robbie wanted was denied!

(I forget the in-universe explanation, if there was an explicit one - either defeating comic!Robbie and his fake world caused all memory/experience if that world to be lost/destroyed... or there was genuinely no real explanation and that in itself was a meta nod to how comic book narrative is constantly dropping/discarding/ignoring/retconning plot points in order to maintain the wider status quo of the comic universe narrative)

AND YET - while the biggest growth of learning Peter's identity was denied (presumably because, as noted above, wider comic book canon requires/insists both characters and their relationship remain in a specific, static, status quo - so the industry can keep churning out multiple comics with them without necessarily having to bother with the extra time/hassel of researching specifics of continuity - because, money), as Peter and Wade's further discussion points out, SOME development HAS happened at least. Wade has grown more moral/heroic in how he doesn't immediately kill his enemies. And Peter has come to care deeply enough about Wade to be proud of him for this and tell him so. AND they walk away together side by side, their friendship cemented.

So bottom line - the story ends. And it's not in the BEST way. It denies the readers and the characters (and the writer!) the fulfilment of that key endgame plot point.

And YET.

It manages to still be a funny, heartwarming and ultimately SATISFYING end. One that, tongue in cheek, lampshades the development the rest of the story has, in many ways, been building up to and, using metafictional tricks, tells readers in a way that is funny, entertaining and also feels somewhat apologetic, that it simply wasn't a plot the creatives involved were able to give. But offers SOME growth at least, and leaves things open enough for readers to imagine the characters are poised for more in the near future (...although due to the nature of comics that may well have been jossed by other comic book runs at this point - I haven't read any that include the characters since this title ended).

WHY am I making a longass post about this you ask?

a) because the comic is great and I think more people should read it, consider this a recommend (tho sorry for spoilers!)

b) ...just ...wanted to big up Robbie Thompson for a bit. A++ Robbie, way to land an ending, both in fiction and meta, kudos to you, nice to be reminded that it can be done!

(also in case by some miracle anyone at Marvel is reading this - I said the ending was satisfying, but that doesn't mean I WOULDN'T SPEND GOOD MONEY ON A REVIVAL OF THIS TITLE IN A HEARTBEAT! just because I'm ok with the last comic being the end doesn't mean I don't WANT MORE WITH A BURNING PASSION why must you cancel all my favs?? ...*coughs* so, yes, thank you any Marvel execs for your time...)

3 -- what work are you most proud of?

I fucking wish I could say my whumptober collection but we all know I massively failed at that so :)

I actually haven't written much this year so a lot of this is going to be repetitive lmfao I am actually proud of the progress I made on the stars are already dead because it's such a heavy topic to write about (cathartic for me, but also heavy) and for a while, I was updating pretty frequently.

6 -- favourite title you used

okay so I do actually love the the stars are already dead title because I think that it illustrates Oikawa's overwhelming sadness and depression. the thought process was playing on his connection to the stars and how he was always so excited by the vastness and awesomeness of space but now it seems so insignificant to him and he no longer has that kind of appreciation. also people would probably say he's a star athlete and so he's "already dead" because of being so numb because of his sister. I put a lot of thought into that title, actually!

12 -- how many WIPs do you have in your docs for next year?

LMFAO dude you are not ready. there's also a difference between wips I have started and which ones I actually aim to post and/or finish next year. for haikyuu, specifically? I think I have maybe 10? they include finishing tsaad, some more zombie background, mermaid AUs, and a new fic I don't think I've talked to you about before 👀

if I am including potential other fandoms, it's, uhh.... way more lol got a lot of fire emblem on my mind, specifically sylvix and casphardt, potentially some octopath? maybe some outlander! I am ambitious but I have no time lol

18 -- the character that gave you the most trouble writing this year?

fucking YURI from fire emblem, god. he is impossible and part of the reason i lost my motivation for whumptober -.- Oikawa has also been a bit of a bitch for me this year, but I think that has ore to do with the fact that he is very severely depressed so it is altering the way I would usually write him. not impossible but has slowed me down a bit and stressed me out about being too ooc.

19 -- what's one pairing you want to explore next year?

I have so many tbh I am garbage. I have alwaaaaays wanted to try writing Tanaka/Kiyoko and I Will force myself to try that out sometime soon. also love Kyoutani/Yahaba and think they could be fun! I have also never written a poly ship before and have an idea for bokuakakuroken !

other pairings for other fandoms include (potentially) Todoroki/Momo, Claire/Jamie, Link/Zelda (haven't touched them for YEARS), and some older fire emblem games, perhaps Leo/Sakura, who I wrote my very first fic about.

all the sylvix chapters from reach for my hand (oops I love them), demons at daybreak, soft silver kisses, and chapters 15-28 of Unravel (special attention to 23 because I am always in need of Daisuga)

I like to read my oneshots a lot because I am very low on time and energy, or I'll read parts to try and inspire me or make connections when writing another chapter

I had to go hunting for this one. but it's from chapter 11 on tsaad and I think you commented on it too. I was so pleased with the whole interaction between Iwaizumi and Takeru and almost made myself cry rereading it today lol

“Do you know what the worst part is?”

Kuroo snapped his mouth shut and swallowed sharply, scared to hear about the worst part.

Kenma drifted closer to him, close enough that he was nearly pressed against the glass. From this close, Kuroo could see the pain in his eyes, easily see the marks and cuts left over from his group’s poking and prodding.

“I thought that, out of everyone here, you would be the one person who wouldn’t hurt me or wouldn’t let anything bad happen. And I shouldn’t feel good with you here. But I do.”

Despite the positive note that Kenma’s sentence ended with, Kuroo couldn’t handle it. Kenma was right; he shouldn’t feel good with Kuroo here because Kuroo did let them hurt him. He had been so positive he’d be able to keep Kenma relatively safe. He had failed in the one thing he promised to do.

“I know,” he managed to choke out, glancing away when Kenma pressed his hand against the glass of the tank. “I know, I know I fucked up. I just came to check on you. I’ll go.”

“Aren’t you listening to me,” he snapped. “I don’t want you to.”

30 -- biggest surprise while writing this year?

that it's hard to do when you have a full time job. :) I'm always surprised when people like my writing tbh. i know that sounds bleh but it's true! especially with tsaad, it's a very personal and very sad story so to see people react to it so positively is a beautiful surprise <3

i wanna so bad! i find organized crime fascinating, & i’m also a big movie nerd, with crime films being my fav genre, so im super into that sorta thing. definitely would love to see it, but o boy, maybe ill jus write it myself?? gotta do everythin myself haha

i’d def go the historical route, so it’d be interesting to try to both apply characters that are firmly rooted in 90s/2000s behaviors & beliefs, and stick them in the 1900s. oh, boy, writing historical stuff is a pain. so much research. worth it tho, if it’s done well. aye, and it’ll be cool to try to keep it as nonfictional as possible. like, attempting to insert the kids (as adults, obvs) into crime history. i wonder if i could do tht? it’d be fun. it’s definitely uncharted waters. there’s a lot of potential there.

but, hmm, i think mafia aus are so rare in fandom (not just the sp fandom, but across the board) bc they contradict everything that’s popular in fanfic. mob aus would feature violence, business, finances, and corruption. whereas fics prefer cuddles, leisure time, a world where money aint an issue, and wholesomeness. and considering the majority of fic is written by horny and/or love-starved teenage girls who dont know or care about the aforementioned subjects, it makes sense. kinda a bummer, but understandable. in the defense of like everyone, lmao, those sorta fics take a lot of planning, & aint nobody got time. so i get it.

oof i think a major thing too is how gay-centric fic/fandom is, when the mobster world is undeniably a heterosexual one. thats an issue. shit, i wonder how many gay characters i could get away with while keeping it realistic. i mean, im sure there were gay mobsters, in fact i’ve read about a couple, but the lifestyles did not go hand in hand, lol.

cartman would pull a goodfellas - he’s of, what, german descent? hell, considering his parents, he probably wouldn’t even exist in this universe. eh. well. he’d def be from yorkville, manhattan, cuz tht was a german neighbourhood. anyway he’d weasel into the italian mob, bc he’d be into the idea of 1) exorbitant amounts of money, and 2) being feared/respected. his authoritah! psh. and someone would notice how smart he is & mentor him, regardless of nationality. he’d quickly make enemies, though, because he’s rude & brash. he’d also quickly become one of the most respected young dons (would he reach that level, without a family? doubt it. he’d have to become a made man, which i believe is reserved exclusively for italians ….. ehhhh ill figure it out. maybe he’d branch out, start his own crime family. that’d be interesting. ooo.) damn, ukno, i think the 40s would make a real interesting character out of cartman. huh. yah, that’d be cool to explore, how that time period would shape him. like i said, he likely wouldt even exist. did the denver broncos exist back then? doubt it

kyle would get wrapped up in the jewish mob (which existed, and which i’d personally l o v e to be a part of lol - if i was born 100 years ago), maybe while trying to protect ike from getting involved? that’d be cool. maybe he’d demonstrate his brains & be offered a job as an accountant or an attorney, and he’d be forced to comply, either bc 1) his fam was threatened if he declined, or 2) his fam was doing bad financially & needed it. maybe both. hell, maybe he avoids the jewish mob & gets involved with the others. MAYBE IKE IS THE ONE IN THE JEWISH MOB & WANTS HIS BROTHER BACK FROM THE ITALIANS. OOOOOOOOO also they’d be from brooklyn, likely, bc that’s where jews were primarily located back then. u kno there was 400k jews in new york in 1899?? including my great great great grandparents. that’s a shit ton of jews lol. lil fun fact for ya. 

wait ok so oof this is hard now, bc the mob was primarily divided into three chunks - the italians, the jews, & the irishmen. there was also the puerto ricans, but that was, like, a different division. i’m mentioning this because nationality was important to mobsters, to all organized crimes groups actually, but south park doesn’t make a habit of mentioning what countries each character’s ancestors came from, lol. so it’d be a lot of writer interpretation. and that’s cool and all, but doesn’t give me much to work with, considering most of the kids are white and likely german/england-descended. 

i could make kenny & butters irish. that’d work. i think kenny’s last names irish, actually. they could be from hell’s kitchen, which had a p hefty irish-american population. maybe i could make stan irish, too. wendy might be able to pass for italian (little italy manhattan??? maybe the bronx??? im tryna think geography lol. for scale.). that’d work, if i wanted to put some stendy in there, bc i love making stan the token het guy, haha. maybe wendys dad marries her off to stan to form an alliance between the italians & irish. that’d be interesting. maybe cartman was rallying to get wendy to marry him, bc he needed to marry someone bc of, like, societal expectations, & she was the only girl who caught his interest. maybe he declares war on stan, to win back the bride he wants. maybe kyles best friends w stan, tht happened somehow, & interjects. goes to meet cartman to discuss a way out - ohhhhh theres my kyman babay!!! oooooo!!!
