wait why does the voiceless narrator/Mickey at the start of kh1 tell Sora he’s the one who will open the door, but then Riku is the one who opens the door and lets the darkness in that destroys Destiny Islands and stuff

#ig mickey could be talking about another door but what tf other door #kingdom hearts #this also implies the realm of the heart stations is closely related or connected to the realm of darkness #(which does make sense)#bc mickey’s able to communicate w sora here the way he’s able to communicate w riku when riku loses his body and ends up in the rod #but honestly this all just makes me feel like it’s supposed to be riku in sora’s place #like riku’s supposed to be having the awakening or something #or like the voice/mickey is not talking to sora #and since riku is the one who actually possesses the keyblade/the key to the door at this point in time…#hmm #idk it’s weird #was there a good way to open the door that wouldn’t result in everything being destroyed
